Expansion Packs
[edit]Why does it state that there is only one expansion pack for this game? I'm sure there are two. --Funnykidrian 06:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
expansion packs
[edit]I wrote that there was one.It as written 2 before but i changed it because this game was first advertised the same time the loopy landscapes game came out and i also think that the first expansion pack was never released in the uk.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rossyboy10 (talk • contribs) .
- Added Attractions was released in the UK, I remember buying it. It was later also included on the Loopy Landscapes disc. Makron1n 19:46, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
ThemePark
[edit]Wouldn't a reference to the similarities between Bullfrog's Theme Park and Tycoon be good?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.137.255.221 (talk • contribs) .
- Only with a reliable source making the comparison.--Drat (Talk) 15:40, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sigh... You don't need a reference to a comparison. As long as the listed features in both games' WP articles are from reliable sources, you can compare the games yourself - just link to the Theme Park article. That said, don't go too far and start to guess the reasons behind the differences or anything like that.--Almost Anonymous 14:55, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Software Issues
[edit]This section, recently added by 71.60.109.223, is unsourced. Can someone confirm that the game can't be installed on XP? BANG! 03:02, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's untrue. The game can be properly run using compatibility settings and a patch. There was a section with the correct info some time ago, except I can't find that edit. I will fix it. --FlyingPenguins 05:30, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
i have both expansion packs, completed over half the scenarios (of the original, haven't had time for the expansion scenarios yet), with no problems, in x64 Windows 7 with following settings for RTC.exe: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4051/rctexecompat.png Divinity76 (talk) 23:01, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
RCTTOWN link no more
[edit]Just a note, rcttown on the links part has shutdown and the link should be removed or replaced with: http://rollercostertime.com —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Skullbird11 (talk • contribs) 16:48, 14 May 2007 (UTC).
Fair use rationale for Image:RollerCoaster Tycoon (Xbox).jpg
[edit]Image:RollerCoaster Tycoon (Xbox).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:36, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility
[edit]I figured it'd be a good idea to include this game's Xbox 360 backwards compatibility status on its page. When and if this game becomes backwards compatible, please update it accodringly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Firebomb 87 (talk • contribs) 16:39, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Error??
[edit]It states in the Expansion area:
On many of the scenarios in Loopy Landscapes, the player is given an unlimited amount of time to complete the objective. There are even some scenarios in this expansion pack where the player has an unlimited amount of time and cash to attract a very high number of guests to the park; the only catch is that the player must maintain a high park rating or the park will close.
The sentences controdict them selves. I've played Roller Coaster Tycoon, and know that NOT ALL scenarios are unlimited. I will change the unlimited, to limited, because ingame, they give you usually give something like this: YEAR x, MONTH x androo123
Reference removed, no longer active;
[edit]http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1546&Itemid=2 referring to Atari being sued by the creator. This still needs to be cited by a reliable source.
This is under the section History, and contained within "For his efforts, Chris received over $30 million[2] of the 180 million brought in by the highly popular game".

Easter Egg/Cheats?
[edit]No references to the interesting little hidden quirks in RCT? Such as naming guests with the names of developers to make them do specific things (ie: name a guest Chris Sawyer and he will stay happy no matter what). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.88.188.242 (talk) 19:02, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- Trivia like that is generally not needed, unless it is somehow significant.--Drat (Talk) 19:46, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
