Wish film list
[edit]I wish he did a film with Sinanju.--Jondel 06:42, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Is he an actor?
[edit]This mainly address the anon IP who keeps removing any reference to Park being an actor. Other editors are more than welcome to join in....
Before we get into an edit war about this, let's talk this out. I wasn't using IMDb as a reference for biographical information, which as you pointed out, is not allowed here. But the IMDb can be used for verification of filmographies and the like. They list Park as an actor for several films.
Additionally, although I don't remember the movie that well so I don't recall how many lines he has, he does get fourth billing in the cast of Ecks vs. Sever and fifth for Potheads: The Movie. To get such a high billing, one would think that he does more than just stunt work.
Also, he has had screen time on several Hollywood movies. I find it very doubtful that he has been able to play parts in all those films without having to get a Screen Actors Guild card or become a member of one of the affiliated actors unions. If he is in the Guild (or other organizations), he would be considered an actor.
So, that is why I am going to revert the article once more. If you have any objections to this, I'd appreciate it if you would explain those objections here. If you do not, I will take this farther into the dispute process. Dismas|(talk) 10:33, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Regardless of Park's position in the Screen Actors Guild his proffesion is obviously still acting and there are several sources to prove it. To ignorantly delete any information on his acting and blatantly ignore all refrences is vandalism. 68.219.26.177 (talk) 01:35, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- According to Screen Actors Guild guidelines, if you have any speaking roles in any hollywood movies, you have to be a member to be able to be credited for such work. Otherwise, you would be considered only an extra. froggy26rk (talk) 01:09, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
I suggest that an admin lock this page to prevent further vandalism. Does anyone other than said vandal disagree with this decision? froggy26rk (talk) 01:16, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- I certainly agree he's an actor, but I disagree that there's a need to protect the page. This section deals with edits that took place months ago, and looking back about a month through the history there seems to be only a couple vandal edits.--Cube lurker (talk) 20:28, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Wikiproject: Mortal Kombat
[edit]Why is Park a part of this project? His part as a stunt double in the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie shouldn't warrant him a position in the project. He also played a role in both an X-Men and Star Wars movie, however he's still not a part of the comics or Star Wars Wikiproject. Hell, Mark Hamill is the main protagonist of the popular space opera Star Wars yet he's still not a part of there project. 68.219.26.177 (talk) 01:38, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- All that means is that someone who's affiliated with the Mortal Kombat WikiProject thought Park was relevant to their project, and added a banner to his talk page. Some WikiProjects have a broad scope, high activity levels, and systematic methods for tagging articles. Others are less organized, less active, or more focused on specific goals. But feel free to add {{WikiProject Star Wars}}, {{WikiProject Comics}} or any other project banner to pages that you suspect have been overlooked by the project in question. --Fullobeans (talk) 15:11, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
