Did anyone else notice that two people appear in the Cast section for Genius? Does anyone know which one is correct, or why there are two? wrp103 (Bill Pringle) - [[User talk:Wrp103|Talk]] 14:56, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fansite?

[edit]

Would it be alright to link to an LJ-based fansite? I'm thinking no, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.245.70.207 (talk) 18:58, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers

[edit]

It seems to me that we shouldn't have spoilers in the overview of the major characters. If somebody wants to read about the game to see if they want to play it, they can't read that section. I've reverted the series of edits for now. If somebody really thinks they should be there, they should at least add a spoiler warning. wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 15:09, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree. If you actually look at what's within the spoiler boundaries... it's the whole article. I don't think exposition on the what happens to each character is necessary in their profiles. Lailaiboy 20:01, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recruitment Guide

[edit]

I restored the link to my recruitment guide, which was deleted with links to fan sites. Technically, my doing that is link spam, since I am the author of that guide. So, if somebody wants to delete it again, I won't contest the decision. I created the strategy wiki from an older version of my strategy guide. I intend to keep my FAQ up to date, but not the strategy wiki. At this point, very little has been done to the wiki since I created it, which is why I added my link back in. I am biased, but I do think it is the best FAQ that I have seen for the game.

(A text version of my FAQ is available from the gamefaqs page, so people can still find it if the link is deleted. That may affect somebody's thoughts.) wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 16:55, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ending

[edit]

The non-human ending didn't have "humans refuse to accept the two 'traitors'", or anything of the sort. I don't think the writer should take the liberty of imposing his/her own interpretation of the ending on the readers. 70.24.144.235 17:20, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are called traitors several times during the game by various humans, so I'm not sure that is the editor's interpretation of the ending. They were not welcome during the war, and there is no indication anything happened to change that.
Personally, I would rather we didn't have the entire plot, complete with spoilers, covered in this article. I would prefer a link to a detailed article about the plot, since that would allow people to read this article to determine if they want to try the game without being exposed to so many spoilers. At a minimum, I would rather that the bio sketches of the characters didn't have any spoilers. I tried doing that once or twice when details were added, but people kept adding the spoilers back. Is it just me, or do others think the same way? wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 17:33, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They walk into the castle town at the end, not away from, suggesting they were attempting to return and make peace between the two sides, or simply to try and return home. That is what's open to interpretation. I'm not at all saying Jack and Ridley weren't rejected throughout the game, but the ending itself is non-concrete. And yes, I do agree that the spoilers should be more concealed, if not done away with altogether. 70.24.144.235 16:35, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jarvis' line at Fort Helencia

[edit]

I actually don't remember what he said to Jack exactly, if somebody can transcribe the conversation accurately, it would be most appreciated. Thank you~ Lailaiboy 19:57, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Publisher

[edit]

Verification is needed for who were the publishers for this title. Kariteh 07:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a couple of sources, all of which say that Square Enix is the publisher, not Square Co., (a defunct company) and Square EA (also another defunct company):

Zidane4028 02:06, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the game itself and the Brady official strategy guide. It sounds like that question has been answered. ;^) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wrp103 (talkcontribs) 03:15, 12 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]
And the article itself states that Square Enix is the publisher in its first few sentences. I think this is enough to show that Square Enix published Radiata Stories, so, I'm making that change to the article. Zidane4028 04:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suikoden IV Reference

[edit]

The part where Jack is fired from the knights is extremely well based on Suikoden IV's story (IE: Where a member of the castle is struck down, etc. and the new guy gets exiled or whatever.) I was surprised to not see this noted in the article. 66.168.19.135 (talk) 19:42, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because that is both a generic and common plot point, and original research. Sergecross73 msg me 18:47, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
