Can someone put up information on the Storyline and History of R-Type. I'd really like to know the plot behind the R13 series of ships among other things.

Mad Forest Series

[edit]

I'm just curious if the Mad Forest set of ships (I, II, III) are a reference to Xexex, a Konami-styled R-Type clone...can someone confirm this?

I think the style of the 'Life Force' on the first "Bydo" unlockable ship to represent the enemies and graphical style on the Konami game Life Force (arcade game). 67.5.157.130 19:46, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Forces

[edit]

The forces bit is... odd. The long text after the list of forces seems a bit made up and fanonical, and gives away the ending. I'd like to get rid of it.

Also, the list... personally, I'm all for it, and I'll happily write up as many as I can... but I suspect other editors won't see the need for the list, and have it removed. So I'd like your opinions now. If it's not necessary for the article, would it be better removed to a page like Force (R-Type)? Spottedowl 18:17, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be happy enough to see the lengthy summary removed (since it duplicates information that's already on the main R-Type page, and then spirals off into useless cruft.) The list of Force types might as well remain, although personally I'd think that the editorial comments there could also be eliminated. 71.202.217.229 06:58, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see what I can do. Spottedowl, let's work on that. Eaglestorm (talk) 19:01, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
