- ... that Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will portray an American town named Steam Bison undergoing a technological revolution due to "highly advanced steam engines"?
- Source: Immediate source and the primary source linked in that article: "The story takes place in Steam Bison, America. There, the power of highly advanced steam engines has ushered in a new world, greatly surpassing even London’s technological development."

- Just realised that the hook I proposed probably falls foul of WP:DYKFICTION. An alternative:
- ALT1: ... that Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is planned to be the first main entry in the Professor Layton series since 2013, despite it being Level-5's most popular media franchise?
- If that hook isn't suitable, I'm not sure what else would make for a good hook in the article. Suntooooth, it/he (talk/contribs) 19:51, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- ALT1 won't work either, because hooks must not be likely to change, and 'will' will date.--Launchballer 23:18, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Launchballer: The game isn't releasing until 2025 and no main entries are planned to release before it, so I don't see how this is an issue - if this hook is promoted, it'll definitely be before 2025. I've seen other hooks use "will" for something that'll be happening in the future, but not within the time it takes for the DYK process to complete. - ALT1 would seem to run afoul of WP:CRYSTAL, particularly number 5, but if it doesn't, then "will" in the hook needs to be replaced with something less definite, like "is planned to" or "is set to", since there's no guarantee that the game doesn't undergo changes in emphasis or doesn't get canceled altogether. I'm sorry to hear that other hooks have used "will", because they generally shouldn't do so. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:23, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: I've changed it to "is planned to be"; I don't fully understand how WP:CRYSTAL applies to a non-article like a DYK hook, but I get where you're coming from regardless. Suntooooth, it/he (talk/contribs) 09:22, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

- Suntooooth The article is long enough, new enough, and neutral with all reliable sources. The QPQ is complete, and the hook is directly cited. However, it seems like "planned" needs to be in the article to match the hook. SL93 (talk) 18:31, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- @SL93: Done! Suntooooth, it/he (talk/contribs) 19:45, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- Great. This is approved. SL93 (talk) 20:23, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
