I have just done a fairly big tidy-up. There was lots of un-encylopedic wording and lots of repitition of information. I have not intentionally removed any information but if I have please put it back in the appropriate section. I hope you'll agree it reads a bit better now. WP: VG Assessment

I'm not your assessor, but I might be, some time later. I thought I'd just drop by and give you some suggestions. First of all, a hefty load of refs are needed, (at least a few more.) There are whole paragraphs missing refs. Second of all, they need to be formatted properly, like this: <ref>{{Citeweb|url=|title=|author=|publisher=|date=|accessdate=}}</ref> You can lead not applicable spaces empty. You will also find that there are different cite templates for different sources, but the one I provided is the basic one. I suggest you format all of the existing refs first. Hello, in addition to Haha's suggestions I'd like to offer an assessment. I would rate this article Start class, but will leave the article B class as assessed by Mr KIA, in the hope that the article will continue to be improved. This article is a good example of where a C class rating could be used if the standard were implemented. Here's a list of suggestions:

• The article is laid out in lists, excessive sub-headings with little content beneath and one sentence paragraphs (PSP connectivity) constantly breaking the flow of prose. Under currency for instance, the Edy reader and credit cards don't require separate sections, they can be covered in the beginning of the section.
• Criticism should be called development and offer a broad view of how the service has been received.
• There's no development section, some of these updates could go into one.
• "Then you can import a Japanese PSN card" there's a few examples of this, describe the process without addressing the reader.
• The Access section would ideally be used to contain details of the PS3 version of the store, the PC version could remain separate. In both cases there's a lot of material scattered through sub-headings and lists which could form prose.
• Referencing - ideally the full stop would go before the reference, some more second-party sources from different sites would be good to balance out the article.

Criticism removal

I've removed the criticism section for the following reasons:

• the unsourced content appeared to be based on blog comments. Forming an opinion that this is a notable and verifiable criticism is original research. Blogs comments fail WP:V and analyzing those to form a conclusion is not permitted.
• The other two entries appear to be complaints, valid or otherwise using solely the primary page as a source. While true, it doesn't necessarily make it a criticism. A reliable third party (e.g. newspaper article, reliable review, etc) needs to identify this as a criticism. Otherwise it is editor opinion which violates original research and undue weight under WP:NPOV.--221.143.25.19 (talk) 06:55, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

The PSN Outage

Preposterous Deleting

Every time a change in the Availability section has been made it is being deleted with the comments: "pointless list of countries its not available in. - The fact they aren't in the main list covers this already." or "Needs reliable source".

The material written about the availability in Bulgaria is completely verifiable and backed up by official e-mails from Sony Bulgaria that the users have received in answer to their questions and also the PS Bulgaria website and also the PS EU Blog. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.10.63.227 (talk) 13:20, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

I don't call a single removal "Every time". I deleted that list because there were either no references or the references were forum posts. Forum posts can occasionally be reliable if the person posting on there is an official company spokesperson. In this case none of them were. The Wikipedia guidelines on what constitutes a reliable source is here WP:RS. We have no way of knowing if the quoted email from Sony is genuine or a hoax made up by the forum poster. As WP:VERIFY states "A fundamental requirement for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—no matter how convinced you are that some information is true, if the material is unverifiable, do not add it." - X201 (talk) 14:48, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Region locking of the Store

There used to be a mention about the billing address of the credit card needing to be the same country as the one you use for your registration, which cannot be changed at all. This has now been removed.

This information is quite important for people who are moving countries. If you have registered your account in New Zealand and you are moving to Australia afterwards, you won't be able to buy things from the Store using an Australian credit card because the Store that shows up is registered to NZ; and because now you are in Australia, you will have a hard time renewing a NZ credit card which will eventually expire. 219.89.220.133 (talk) 13:20, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

But you can make multiple accounts on the same PS3, so make an Australian one and download from it then go back to the original account to use your downloads, but it doesn't work for things bound to the account such as user avatars. --MK (talk) 08:54, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Knowing new country/region Availability

Over the years i have noticed that all of the posted to be available countries with the Store are right. I was just wondering how do you know such information and if you dont want to share it please tell me if there will be more updates soon, especially near PS4 launch. There are many ways to check that, but one way I do is by accessing this link [1] (notice: I intentionally added wrong language code "en-xx"). If you replace the language code with "en-lb" for Lebanon or "en-om" for Oman, it will redirect to the UK store ("en-gb") which means it may be available in the future. --MK (talk) 07:23, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the fast reply, and i have actually tried that on the eu.playstation.com website replacing "eu" with "lb" and i got redirected to "ae". This gave us hope.
