Assessment

[edit]
  1. The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations where necessary. Green tickY
It has reliable sources, and any important or controversial material which is likely to be challenged is cited. The use of citation templates such as {{cite web}} is not required, but the use of <ref></ref> tags is encouraged.Green tickY
  2. The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies.Red XN
It contains a large proportion of the material necessary for an A-Class article, although some sections may need expansion, and some less important topics may be missing.Red XN
  3. The article has a defined structure. Red XN
Content should be organized into groups of related material, including a lead section and all the sections that can reasonably be included in an article of its kind.Green tickY
  4. The article is reasonably well-written. Green tickY
The prose contains no major grammatical errors and flows sensibly, but it certainly need not be "brilliant". The Manual of Style need not be followed rigorously.Green tickY
  5. The article contains supporting materials where appropriate. Green tickY
Illustrations are encouraged, though not required. Diagrams and an infobox etc. should be included where they are relevant and useful to the content.Green tickY
  6. The article presents its content in an appropriately accessible way. Green tickY
It is written with as broad an audience in mind as possible. Although Wikipedia is more than just a general encyclopedia, the article should not assume unnecessary technical background and technical terms should be explained or avoided where possible.Green tickY

Overall it's a good write-up, but the need for expansion will probably take longer than a week or two to hit B-class. Holding at C-Class, Mid-Importance for now.

  • The article focuses solely on current-gen consoles, however exclusivity has been around for several years.
  • It feels disjointed. A 'history' section is definitely needed here, as there is little background for the topic.
  • Down the road the list of [x] platform games links might be better suited as an infobox with exclusives listed per-platform

Thanks, I will get digging for some cites to cover a history, and non-current gen content. They proved illusive the first time around but I am sure there will be some good ones buried somewhere. As for the list articles, perhaps a group effort at WP:VG might help, I will probably raise that in the future. --Taelus (talk) 00:29, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
