Lists of cars

[edit]

game guide material, i'm removing it. DurinsBane87 17:40, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A brief mention of the cars available is appropriate. Suggesting which one is best to drive to win on a specific track would be guide material. - Shiftchange (talk) 14:05, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The zeitgeist of this title was the cars (unlike other racing games and more recent titles) – there were only eight of them, and all eight were featured on the exterior packaging (PC version), the game featured a "showcase" for each car with a narrated biography of the car manufacturer's history and the development of the vehicle, a photo gallery for each car, a Electronics Arts directed and professionally shot/edited video for each car. A car list might be superfluous for other racing games (particularly ones that have hundreds of cars), but for this title it really makes a lot of sense. Particularly as Electronic Arts was coming off the heels of the original Need for Speed title, which was a joint venture with Road & Track Magazine, and both games were an effort to infuse a sense of education and dialogue about the cars/manufacturers into an otherwise arcade racer. This article looks deformed - vanadalism?

[edit]

The coding in this artlce has definitely been screwed up a bit. I don't really know how to fix it since I'm new to Wikipedia but something really needs to be done to restore the original look of the article. ~NeonFire372~ (talk) 15:09, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
