Sorry, screwed up the formatting. Funny, someone caught it within 30 seconds. But, the System Requirements needs to be removed. It cites NFS: Undercover, not Shift. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.81.154.218 (talk) 22:07, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Soundtrack

[edit]

Uh, wrong comparison. ProStreet has the same, long list of popular indie tracks as all the other next-gen Need for Speed games: Underground 1, 2, Most Wanted, Carbon, ProStreet, and Undercover. So I'm not sure what the author means by scored, as each of these games has, maybe, two songs scored by an in-house EA composer. ProStreet leaned very heavily on its diverse collection of electro-heavy tunes to cover all the different moods it creates. -- 96.28.209.191 (talk) 13:38, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Soundtrack to this is licensed music. ProStreet has both licensed and an orginal score. Current paragraph is incorrect. Please fix this shit.

Car list

[edit]

Hi there,

I'm Mike and I work for EA. I do not want to make the SHIFT article a branch of marketing for the game, but at the same time I would like to see readers to get the best possible information if looking for it on Wikipedia. For instance, I was hoping to get an updated list of the cars under the "Cars" section of the article.

Here a link that has the car list (from the Need for Speed forums) which can be used for reference: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/237635.page

(I would list the cars, but I don't want to make the section too long!)

NFSMike (talk) 22:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mike. Unfortunately, lists of cars shouldn't be included in articles, they clutter it and are considered WP:GAMECRUFT. Having a few in prose is generally ok though. You'd also want to read WP:COI, I assume there's another one for companies, but I'm not aware of it. Thanks! Fin© 22:42, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Fin. Thanks for responding. I'm new to this whole contributing business, so I appreciate the links. I'll be sure to read through both. I know of a COI, which is why I was going through the talk pages. I will not be putting in any contributions myself. I would rather leave it to the community to decide which is important/useful information. I hope this is not poor form. If so, I'm sure I will find it in the links you have given me. I'm not here to manipulate the article! Thanks again! NFSMike (talk) 23:03, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Release date

[edit]

Hi again,

I also noticed that the release dates for Need for Speed SHIFT are incorrect for the UK and North America.

SHIFT ships on Septmeber 15th, 2009 in North America and there is no release date for the UK, simply a release date for all of Europe, which is September 17th, 2009.[1]

So I think information would be more accurate if the ship date was changed to September 15th for North America and the UK release date was deleted.

NFSMike (talk) 22:43, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Games always ship on Fridays in the UK, so that's why it says sep 18. I'll fix the others thought. Thanks! Fin© 23:25, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RfC: Game Title

[edit]

Hi there,

I'm looking to see the game's title changed. It should be written, "Need for Speed SHIFT". So no colon and the word "shift" should be using all capitals.[1]

Thanks!

Changes

[edit]

Afternoon ladies and gentlemen,

I work for EA and come in peace. Mike asked a while back about changing the title from Need for Speed: Shift (incorrect) to Need for Speed SHIFT (correct), but this still hasn't been done. Is there a way this can be completed?

Also, a patch has been released that deals with the PC. Later on, a patch was released for PlayStation 3. I added this in but it was removed.

Another edit I made, to the tracks, which had the incorrect number (18), adding in the correct number (19), was also removed. This is a core part of the game and I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with getting it back up.

That's all I can see right now that needs fixing. Thanks. NFSKirk (talk) 19:47, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. "Shift" can't be written all in caps due to this. But I'll see what I can do about the track numbers and the patch. ӣicҟin\\talk with me\\\\\\\\\\ 19:59, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, EA announced a new free DLC and thus need to be mentioned in this article; is this possible? --86.166.60.142 (talk) 15:07, 23 November 2009 (UTC) 212.191.80.142 (talk) 17:22, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Talk of summer DLC

[edit]

Hey guys,

I'm from EA. There is absolutely no truth to what has been written in this article about summer DLC being released for SHIFT. I'd like permission to remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NFSKirk (talkcontribs) 16:37, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Took it out - no source for it anyway. Thanks! Fin© 16:43, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
