[edit]The corrupted image that is being used in the infobox of this article is technically not an image of Monika. This corrupted image is used in the place of Sayori once she is deleted from the game. When Monika is deleted from the game, her image completely disappears from the title screen. She is not replaced by the corrupted image used in this article (or by any image of any kind). Put simply: the corrupted image used to depict Monika in this article actually has nothing to do with the character Monika. Is it the appropriate choice for the infobox of this article? 2600:380:E89B:A068:3188:2A39:989:129B (talk) 02:50, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
I agree, something should be done about this. (I only know this because I am a fan of DDLC. (: ) (talk) 16:16, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Monika Species
[edit]Monika isn't an A.I. i have proof too but even if i edit they change it again. Here is why i don't think she is an A.I.: https://www.quora.com/Is-Monika-from-the-Doki-Doki-Literature-Club-an-AI-If-yes-then-why-is-there-any-need-for-an-AI-in-a-visual-novel https://steamcommunity.com/app/698780/discussions/0/1499000547476319636/ (92.45.127.123) 12:59, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- She is a fictional computer program that gains sentience (and as such, what would be commonly known as artificial intelligence) and discovers their intended purpose to be the mentor / supporting character in a visual novel. By definition (from an in-universe perspective), she is an artificial intelligence, although not designed as one. Which the sources you have provided actually support. 2001:BB6:5241:C900:15E3:7458:1E0C:C48F (talk) 16:47, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
I don't know if you read it right but actually the source i put the steam one doesn't provides it. It says: "She's a girl that happens to be inferior to Natsuki. Besides that, no, she's not actually an A.I... This game just uses a lot of features in a clever way to make her seem sentient." That means she is actually not sentient. And one of the reply was this: "Pffffffttttttt..... Are you kidding me? You HAVE to be joking. Is DDLC the only videogame you've seen? Oh gawd. There is no proper AI at the moment, how can she be one? Almost every videogame controls its own files, self awareness is always pre written scripted stuff. VIDEOGAME CHARACTERS ARE JUST PRE-WRITTEN LINES OF DIALOGUES, you dummy. And games can easily take your computer name. It's super duper easy. I bet even I could do it, if I knew how to. No offense, but I really started laughing after seeing and reading this post. Don't mean to be rude, I just don't understand how can someone don't know such things. It's like not knowing that you don't say K in words when it's the first letter but 5 times worse." So read properly before you come here to judge me. - Dude. Fictional articificially intelligent computer program. Like GLaDOS on a much smaller scale. No-one thinks the game is real. I mean, really? 2001:BB6:5241:C900:E811:A031:6662:3802 (talk) 21:27, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
I really don't know what are you talking about. The thing i typed was belong to other users thoughts not mine! And i never said something like that! Anyways... I was just trying to fix this wikipedia article because it has wrong information but nobody listens to me and always reverts my edits now the page is protected until February 7 2021 really? And you didn't had to protect until after a year it's too much. I would stop editing if somebody corrected in a right way but i am NOT wrong that's why i always editted this article. I really can't believe all of you, you guys are so rude! I would be happy to see all of you guys replies. See you on February 7 Until then bye! User:176.234.193.33 (talk) 18:11, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
Monika Picture
[edit]Is there a possible way that someone can fix the picture? That is not exactly “Monika”. ILoveTheRepublic (talk) 02:13, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes your right it's not. It should be changed.User:176.232.76.46 (talk) 17:57, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit]"She is apparently deleted at the end of the game, but returns to destroy the game itself to protect the player after the character Sayori becomes sentient in Monika's absence."
I think this part should be removed, the game has two endings and this only happens in one of them. Having this in the lead implies that this is the "true ending", when in reality both endings are valid as far as I'm aware. Bonus Person (talk) 01:32, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
