Official homepage
[edit]The external links section says that the official homepage link is broken, but it works fine for me... alternatively, http://www.cyberlore.com/majesty/ may work better if it indeed is broken for some. Thoughts? Sorator (talk) 23:28, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Title change
[edit]How about getting rid of the "(computer game)" in the title by moving it to "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim"? -- Darklock 02:03, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- One problem with the proposed rename is that this article also covers Majesty: The Northern Expansion and Majesty Gold. --Muchness 04:19, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- That has not been a problem for any other similar game article. -- Darklock 20:05, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- I just created a page for Majesty: The Northern Expansion. Therefore, I see no reason not to change the name of the article. True, there is still the Gold Edition, but Empire Earth and Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest also have a Gold Edition and the articles have been doing alright. - That has not been a problem for any other similar game article. -- Darklock 20:05, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Cheat codes
[edit]Not sure if the cheat codes are really encyclopaedic, but the game is covered fairly comprehensively here, and the codes are fairly straightforward and certainly a 'part of the game'. Links to strategy, walkthroughs and other more in-depth information are there if people want that sort of thing, but as part of an overview I think the codes should probably be part of the main article.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Natronomonas (talk • contribs) 03:53, June 19, 2006.
Will there be a sequel
[edit]I think it was successful enough for one. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.174.135.175 (talk • contribs) 09:30, 30 May 2006.
- A sequel was planned, but aborted. I don't think the company was doing so well in other areas.
- A sequel would go down well with me though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Natronomonas (talk • contribs) 15:18, 30 May 2006.
Update: There WILL be a sequel. 76.30.163.11 (talk) 02:56, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- Aye, there's a page on Majesty 2 - not that it has any interesting content yet. Here's hoping. --Kizor 08:10, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
An article about hero classes
[edit]I'm thinking of creating an article with description of every hero class. How about that? Should I?.. The Elder Scrolls has many articles about races... --Alexander Ivashkin 15:57, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- My concern is that there isn't enough relevant information about each class. While races and classes in other games are quite a bit more expanded (Alliance (Warcraft) is an example), I don't think there's enough information otherwise. After all, the only real descriptions we have about each class is the brief summary given in the game and the brief summary given in the manual. I fear that each one would merely become a stub that can never be expanded. Also, there's a lot of name-dropping stuff that doesn't mean anything. Why are we writing about how Thousand Winter's War (or whatever it's called) affected the Barbarians if we don't actually know what that is? To sum it all up, I'd say no because of lack of information. Thunderforge 20:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree this franchise isn't near large enough to warrant such an article. There is very little material upon which to draw an article.--Crossmr 00:27, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with the above comments; this level of detail is not really appropriate here (see also the WP:VG article guidelines). However, your proposed article may be more appropriate at a dedicated gaming wiki like StrategyWiki or the Encyclopedia Gamia. --Muchness 03:13, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
WP:NOT
[edit]WP:NOT#GUIDE and WP:NOT#INFO pretty much sum up my thoughts. At the moment, the article reads like a game guide. That's not in the scope of Wikipedia. I will be doing a mass blanking of material I feel breaks these guidelines. Ong elvin 04:20, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm done. If someone wants to restore the material to a Gaming Wiki article, I'm not gonna stop them. Ong elvin 04:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Changes
[edit]I rearranged some of the text in the second and third paragraph as it didn't make any sense. Never played the game, but all looked wrong. And I did this without asking, sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kavelioc (talk • contribs) 15:15, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I remember playing this years ago.

Merge: The Northern Expansion
[edit]I support the merge; it seems reasonable - The Northern Expansion is just an expansion. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 21:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
