Two recommended fixes
[edit]To trim the number of footnotes in the DLC table, I'd recommend adding an "available for Wii" column (similiar to Rock Band DLC, and a column (or other indicator) of cover/master status (similiar to other Guitar Hero song lists). I'd do it myself, but I'm more regular in RB lists, so I'm not sure what trends are followed here. If nobody protests by the end of the day I'll start looking into making changes myself. -- TRTX T / C 14:34, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- At the moment the Wii has all the songs that the other systems do, besides 8 songs from Death Magnetic. Because the Wii wasn't a year behind on DLC like in RB we just have it where the few songs that don't come out on Wii have a reference thing.--Unknownsage13 (talk) 04:56, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- Since only 2 songs for World Tour are covers (both are DLC), perhaps bolding the songs that are masters and keeping the others unbolded would be an option. -- Groudon199 (talk) 14:28, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- Only two seems like a bit to much of a hassle to bold them all.--Unknownsage13 (talk) 13:22, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Incorrect Gigs
[edit]The bands are listed with the incorrect gigs. The correct list should look something like this:
House of Blues (Los Angeles) No Sleep Till Brooklyn, About a Girl, What I've Done
Phi Psi Kappa (USA) Up Around the Bend, Some Might Say, Eye of the Tiger
Pang Tang Bay (Hong Kong) The One I Love, The Joker, Band on the Run
Bone Church (Poland) Beautiful Disaster, Feel the Pain, Today, You're Gonna Say Yeah!
Swamp Shack (Louisiana) Do it Again, On the Road Again, Stillborn, Hotel California
Amoeba Records (Los Angeles) Livin' on a Prayer, Ramblin' Man, One Way or Another, Misery Buisness, Obstacle 1
Wilted Orchid (Sweden) The Middle, Mountain Song, Rebel Yell, Freak on a Leash, Love Removal Machine
Strutter's Farm (Kentucky) Are You Gonna Go My Way, Heartbreaker, Beat It, Stranglehold, Go Your Own Way
Rock Brigade (The Pacific) American Woman, Hey Man, Nice Shot, Love Me Two Times, Dammit, Spiderwebs
Will Heilm's Keep (England) Kick Out the Jams, Escuela de Calor, Santeria, Demolition Man, Shiver
AT&T Park (San Francisco) Sweet Home Alabama, Everlong, L'Via L'Viaquez, The Kill, The Wind Cries Mary, Purple Haze
Ozzfest (Germany) Overkill, Prisoner of Society, Our Truth, Scream Aim Fire, Mr. Crowley, Crazy Train
Times Square (New York) Antisocial, Re-Education (Through Labor), Trapped Under Ice, La Bamba, Assassin, Hot for Teacher, B.Y.O.B
Could somebody please replace the old list with this one? I can't edit this page for some reason. GrimmanDark (talk) 02:43, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- The order on this page is the band set list, not individual instruments. --MASEM (t) 03:13, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- This is the band setlist. For the PS3 version, at least. GrimmanDark (talk) 04:32, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Shouldn't this be in a separate column like for GH3? Robsinden (talk) 10:42, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- You mean the single player and co-op columns on the GH3 page? Why? There's only one band setlist, and this is it. GrimmanDark (talk) 18:16, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- The single player career path has a different setlist - I'm playing the EU PS3 version. Robsinden (talk) 08:06, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Each instrument, and the band overall, has a different career path, making 5 different orders. Listing all 5 would make the table too large, so it is best to list the band career order as to give the approximate difficulty of all the songs. --MASEM (t) 12:30, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Ah - that makes sense. Perhaps a more obvious explanation in the introduction to the list would avoid the error that myself and the OP made. Robsinden (talk) 12:48, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- We don't have to list all the instrument orders, just list the band one up there. Also, I'd just like to point out that the venues are listed in the order that they appear in the guitar career, which doesn't make sense because all the venues appear in different orders in every career. For example, Wilted Orchid is the second venue in the guitar career, while it's the seventh venue in the band career. The editor put the Wilted Orchid songs in the second tier when it really should be in the seventh tier, and rearranged all the venues so they look the same as the guitar career when it shouldn't. I don't know if this is what the editor intended, but I don't get how it represents the overall difficulty of all the songs. GrimmanDark (talk) 17:43, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
July's DLC
[edit]Well, this officially confirms what bands will be showing up: http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=87097 As to what songs they are, the NOFX song is definitely "Linoleum", Rancid's is obviously "Ruby Soho", & Bad Religion's sounds like "21st century (Digital Boy), although I don't know if any of their other songs have shown up on multiple albums. The rest are more vague...The hint for The Sleeping song quotes WarGames, which suggests "Bomb The World", the hint for Silverstein quotes Office Space, but I'm stumped there (though someone in the source's forum suggested "I Am The Arsonist"), & I have no idea what the A Day to Remember hint is quoting (if anything), or what song it applies to. Nonetheless, we should still wait for an official announcement before putting the actual songs up. SlyDante (talk) 00:43, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Silverstein is definitely I Am the Arsonist (as in Milton from Office Space was the arsonist), and ADtR is NJ Legion Iced Tea (unscrambling "enticed jig alone"). However, yeah, gotta wait for the official announcement. Crazydiamond1to9 (talk) 06:20, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Neversoft posted on one of those threads last night congratulating us. Don't worry, I added the songs this morning, btw.--Unknownsage13 (talk) 19:51, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Guitar Hero 5 DLC
[edit]Should we do another page just for the downloadable content? cuz guitar Hero 5 shares downloadable content, so should we? just like in Rock Band —Preceding unsigned comment added by GastroTV (talk • contribs) 20:31, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- No, because GH5 DLC will not be backwards compat with GHWT. We can indicate which songs are or are not forward-compat to GH5 when that information is known (they did say a select few songs can't be used in GH5), but unlike RB where all the songs are playable in both games, there's a limit here. --MASEM (t) 13:10, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- but we could do another page just for DLC, right? and note which songs from GHWT are compatible with GH5 —Preceding unsigned comment added by GastroTV (talk • contribs) 14:42, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- having a seperate dlc page seems like the best option now- world tour is going to be patched around the release of gh5 to add some of the new features, meaning the dlc (for ghwt and gh5) will be compatible with both games. comments from brian bright in a giantbomb interview suggest that the dlc might be compatible with band hero as well. [4] 61.69.175.140 (talk) 00:52, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Indicating forward-compat songs
[edit]At this point, a few days before GH5's release, it is known that :
- 152 of the 158 DLC is forward-compat (the 6 that aren't look to be the Hendrix songs. No surprise).
- About half of the game disk songs are forward-compat, but this is at this time - the export process suggests that more could be added.
Obviously we want to indicate these on these tables. There's two options:
- Another column so that one can sort on these. This makes sense for the disc songs since there's large number that are or aren't, but not so much for DLC. If they manage to get more over time, this becomes less necessary.
- Footnotes, which are fine for the few DLC tracks that arent, but not for nearly half the songs on disc.
I'm still inclined to go with an additional column to show this; I think that from the usefulness side, GH5 people are going to want to see quickly what they can bring into their game. (I'm still waiting for a confirmed list - I've seen only forum posts - before adding this). --MASEM (t) 13:40, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Cost
[edit]exporting songs costs 200 MSP for xbox and the smash hits songs 160 MSP, and the songs aren't "automatically exported" you must go to options menu and select "export songs", all the DLC you downloaded must be downloaded again for free
new dlc?
[edit]are they going to make new dlc for world tour? because they definately haven't got september dlc.
- They've moved on to Guitar Hero 5.--猛禽22 •• 01:32, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Removed guitar tiers
[edit]There are five career tier lists in this game. We can't possibly list them all, and it appears to present a bias to select any given instrument. If we are going to list venues with this game, it makes the most sense to stick with the established tiering system used for the full band as that is the focus of the game this time around. The footnotes indicating the two tracks which are not playable in band career mode is sufficient notice regarding their lack of a venue. -- TRTX T / C 19:01, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Extended versions
[edit]Which songs from this list are longer than officially-released versions? (The two I know are Some Might Say and Livin' On A Prayer, but I'd like to know if there are any more.)--90.208.106.6 (talk) 09:50, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
unable to sort on main setlist — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.191.19.90 (talk) 05:13, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
DLC Removed from PlayStation Store
[edit]Hey, I noticed today that the DLC was no longer on the PlayStation store, but was still available in the in game store. Does anyone have a source about this? --24.112.187.219 (talk) 02:50, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
The Main Song List Sort
[edit]I noticed if you sort the main song list by artist, two artists "The Eagles" and "<another one starting with 'The'>" are not sorting by their first letter, ignoring "The" as the sort criteria, unlike the other songs in the list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SquashEngineer (talk • contribs) 19:44, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
