Entries
[edit]Title(s) | Notes/Reasons | Developer | Publisher |
---|---|---|---|
Peaky Blinder | A side-scrolling game involving the player controlling "Peaky", a literal amalgamation and personification of garbage, which aspires to overcome his life in the slums to become a respectable person in a nice house. The game featured a shapeshifting gameplay mechanic for fighting enemies. Announced for a wide variety of platforms - SNES, Game Boy, Sega Game Gear, Sega CD, and the Sega Genesis, the game never released in any capacity for any platforms.[1][2] | Sales Curve Interactive | |
Railroad Tycoon | A version of the 1990 PC release was announced in 1992 for the Sega Genesis and SNES, and present at CES 1993, but neither console version ever released.[3] | MPS Labs | MicroProse |
Mendel Palace/Quinty
[edit]A prototype of a previously unknown Super Famicom port of Quinty just surfaced as part of the current Game Freak leaks. [1] No mention of it yet on the major news sites, which are (understandably) focused on the Pokémon stuff. Will need to keep an eye on the usual suspects to see if there's any proper coverage we can cite. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:33, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

Mario Factory
[edit]Went down a bit of a rabbit hole on this one, and while I think it's fascinating and has a couple good sources ([2] [3]), it's not exactly clear to me if the Game Processor was a standalone device or a SNES peripheral, so I'm not sure if Mario Factory "counts" as a SNES/SFC game? Any thoughts? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:28, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
Games we know exist but don't have good sources for
[edit]These games all have evidence to confirm their existence, but no coverage in reliable or semi-reliable sources, which are required for inclusion.
- Oh My Goddess! (advertisement/magazine mention(?))
- Mer Wars (prototype exists online)
- My Neighbor Totoro (details and screens shared on social media by developer)
- PoPoLoCrois (details and art/design docs shared on social media by developer)
- Sylvester and Tweety (prototype exists online)
Any assistance in finding good sources for these would be much appreciated. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 06:11, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
