Release date
[edit]In the new issue of Gameinformer says the release date is June 17th, 2008. I dunno if there is a reference on the internet and I don't have a scanner so I can't scan it for reference. Hopefully someone else can confirm this. Laforge38 (talk) 21:05, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Stardockcompanylogo.png
[edit]The image Image:Stardockcompanylogo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --08:11, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
At the moment this article is just a press release, and obvious biased corporate opinion. How is this on Wikipedia? :
Software backup
Impulse allows users to archive their purchased software and games to a digital archive which users can copy to a backup medium, and later restor to functionality. This is useful since one can revert to a functional version of the software if the latest version is not up to expectations, as opposed to mandatory updates that cannot be reverted. if it was continued......sold to gamestop, who in turn sold it to some company in korea without any notice, or contact info for them. games gone forever.
Common Virtual Platform
Games can make API calls for multiplayer features. More consistency across games provides a better experience. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.152.125.40 (talk) 05:00, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
List
[edit]Is there a games list that shows the games are available on impulse? 24.114.255.83 (talk) 21:39, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- That information is at the Impulse Store - it will obviously change over time. GreenReaper (talk) 21:57, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm just wondering if it would be worthwild to compose a game list like what Steam has [1] 24.114.255.83 (talk) 21:21, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
advertising
[edit]i'm quite amazed and disgusted that my edit was dismissively reverted as "vandalism". that section a)is completely unnecessary and even if the information is included it should be in the prose not a list and b) sounds like it was taken straight out of an advertisement for the software. 24.17.211.150 (talk) 08:46, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, you're right, that shouldn't be there. Some of the information may be useful, but we can't just copy bullet points; it'd be a copyright violation if nothing else. I've reverted that edit. GreenReaper (talk) 14:12, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
