Draw
[edit]I corrected "pixel-based" to "object-based" in the description of Draw. However, somebody has "corrected" it back, with the comment
- "Draw; no objects in that software. It's just pixel toggling with a crude fill function."
What is the definition of "pixel-based"? To me, it implies a bitmap editor similar to Windows Paint. But this clearly isn't what Draw is.
I speak from experience of the program. It stores actual definitions of lines and circles (I forget whether it supports any other object types), in much the same way as a vector graphics app. The difference is that it provides no way to change or remove an object once it's been placed. If for whatever reason it has to redraw, you can see it redrawing the objects individually in the order that they were drawn. Furthermore, once you've drawn a certain number of objects, you would get a "no more room" error, indicating that the program can't accommodate any more - this wouldn't happen with a bitmap editor.
So in what sense is it pixel-based? -- Smjg (talk) 22:40, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
