Focus of article

[edit]

This was discussed in the split discussion and left open at the conclusion. Hannah Montana is a fictional construct, a trademarked character owned by Disney. That character is a symbol that represents the creative construct of writers, directors and one or more performers. It is not real. The article should not treat it as such and should retain a distance that can talk to the underlying construct. --NrDg 07:16, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I change my opinion, the discography of Hannah Montana should be a discography songs that charted that were released under a Hannah album... released by the franchise; it makes more sense. --Ipodnano05 (talk) 15:45, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm satisfied with how the article is right now. It treats Montana as a recording artist, which she should be considered as due to her numerous charted efforts, while still making it clear that she is a fictional character performed by Miley Cyrus. The lead needs a major working over. Mentioning it's placement on the Columbian(?) charts is totally out of the question, Kids Albums and UK Compilation charts are unsourced and possibly not even notable enough to be included at all. It needs to just describe what is in the article, use the sourced material already in the tables, etc. And whoever added these sources needs to add Wikilinks to the chart they're referring to. k.i.a.c (talktome - contribs) 06:09, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

discography of what?

[edit]

The article starts: The discography of Hannah Montana, a character created for the TV series of the same name and performed by American actress and singer Miley Cyrus, consists of one live album, thirty-one singles, fifteen music videos, five soundtracks, and two remix albums.
Considering that intro, why is there only singles and music videos in the tables? The albums are also listed, but only in the header text. It is a little confusing to get the picture of the chart success from there. I hope this does not become the common way to do these.
But I just noticed, they are in Miley Cyrus discography#Soundtrack albums. It is listed in the "See also" section, but it is not mentioned the albums are there. 85.217.35.84 (talk) 20:35, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
