[edit]The current infobox image is a 3D render of a Flowey toy figurine, would it not be more useful to include a picture of Flowey's sprite from the game or an illustration made specifically for the game?--Alexandra IDVtalk 11:10, 2 March 2018 (UTC) EDIT: This applies for Toriel, as well - I just didn't notice that article until now.--Alexandra IDVtalk 11:14, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- I figured it would be the most "accurate" depiction considering that it was approved by the developer and wasn't just someone's interpretation of how the character looks. The in-battle sprites are totally black and white, not showing the character's colors or any depth.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 11:24, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- Any official art would be approved by the developer, but a 3D render specifically made for a toy seems ill suited as it would have to abide by the limitations of working as a physical figurine. I am strongly in favor of either one of the sprites (overworld or battle) or other artwork like this. I sorta get what you're saying with the battle sprite being monochromatic, but the idea that the actual in-game representation of a character is inaccurate seems strange to me.--Alexandra IDVtalk 11:47, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- It seems exactly the same as the character's art ingame. There don't seem to be any liberties taken with regards to modifying their design that I can tell. I'm not saying the ingame representation is inaccurate, but it's not as detailed and would need both their regular and battle sprites to get across their actual colors.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 11:57, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- I'd like to double @Alexandra IDV:'s request that the picture used in this article be taken from either the game itself or official promotional art, not from 3rd-party merchandise, officially-sanctioned or otherwise. See Master Chief, Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Link, etc.: The overwhelming majority of articles pertaining to specific video game characters use either official renders, concept art, or promotional art to depict the character, which leads me to believe that this is the accepted convention. - Agree. I came here to say this too. 2A00:23C5:FE0C:2100:5413:D120:EA8A:523D (talk) 07:37, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
Flowey’s backstory
[edit]He used to be Asriel than the first human fell, Chara they were brothers a few years later they found out how to break the barrier so they took Asriels soul but they still needed 6 more. when he became Flowey, Asgore the king said “there there everything’s going to be alright” Flowey had no emotion he felt nothing for anyone… 125.253.53.50 (talk) 05:48, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
Remove Asriel Dreemurr?
[edit]Because the article is supposed to focus on FLOWEY, not Asriel Dreemurr (literally the name of the article), and so the Asriel Dreemurr content should be majorly removed or removed altogether. Yeah, I know he's it's past self, but you could clear that up within a sentence or two. It could also help the article remove "intricate detail" because of his backstory being kind of irrelevant towards the overall story of Flowey. Thoughts? Abigbagel (talk) 01:32, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- I'll do it anyway, if you have any objections, please, PLEASE state it here because I'm 99% sure this is the right decision and I'll reply when I can. I just see my point as a strong one. Abigbagel (talk) 01:36, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- In lieu of a full Asriel Dreemurr article I believe he should still have a presence on this one. Asriel and Flowey are the same character and should more or less be treated as such, and creating a divide between the two is messy and confusing. Flowey as a character does not work without the context of Asriel, and to remove him from this article would be doing our readers a disservice as an encyclopaedia. FizzleDrunk (talk) 10:30, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- If anything I think there should be a separate article for Asriel. Looks like someone tried to make a draft a few years back but it was abandoned and deleted. Benpiano800 (talk) 23:46, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- On the other hand, the article could be changed to be the inverse of what it was, with the article itself being called "Asriel Dreemurr" and Flowey just being a section of the article.
- For now though, I think it's best to restore the Asriel Dreemurr section. Benpiano800 (talk) 23:48, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Agreed. Although I'd love to see it, I'm skeptical on whether Asriel is notable enough to warrant an article unto himself (considering he has sparing pop culture prevalence outside of Undertale, unlike Flowey). FizzleDrunk (talk) 01:36, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Fair. We may just have to wait and see how prominent he is in Deltarune. Benpiano800 (talk) 01:53, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- Once Deltarune is at completion I'd say that Spamton, Ralsei or Susie are likely to be more deserving of an article than Asriel. FizzleDrunk (talk) 22:31, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Usage of De Facto
[edit]Flowey, Asriel, and Sans are all described as de facto final bosses, which implies that there is no official final boss in Undertale (other than maybe Asgore I guess). I think de facto should be removed from this article, but kept in Sans' article, as he is an unexpected final obstacle. MrDudeSirGuyMan (talk) 13:20, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
Undertale Yellow in appearances?
[edit]It’s not an official product but considering it has a Wikipedia article and Toby Fox approved its creation, does it warrant a place on this article? FizzleDrunk (talk) 08:45, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
