Overall, a nice tidy piece of work. Detailed review to follow, but I doubt there will be much! Harrias talk 11:57, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
- Lead
- Possibly worth linking antagonist and protagonist in the opening sentence.
- Fixed
- "She was born Princess Sarisa Scherwil Tycoon, but is lost.." Keep the tense consistent; if she was born, then she was lost.
- Fixed
- "She joins the quest to understand why protagonist Lenna Charlotte Tycoon has the same pendant as her." Is the quest to discover why Lenna Charlotte Tycoon has the same pendant as her, or did she join their quest with her own, separate, aim of finding that out?
- Fixed
- Concept and creation
- The infobox mentions Emily O'Brien as the English voice, but this isn't mentioned in the body.
- Fixed
- Appearances
- "..but decides to help them in their quest to find the Wind Shrine when she realizes that she and Lenna share the same pendant. She joins the quest to find King Tycoon.." Does she join the quest to find King Tycoon after they find the Wind Shrine, or alongside it, or to the same final goal? I'm a little confused that she has joined two quests.
- Fixed
- "..to protect the other Crystals." What Crystals? This seems to be their first mention. More explanation needed.
- Fixed
- "Her true gender is discovered by Bartz and Galuf, and is later shown a vision.." Her true gender is shown a vision? Assume this is missing a word.
- Fixed
- "Faris admits to Lenna that they are sisters.." When did she discover that they were sisters? That revelation has not been mentioned.
- Fixed
- "..and they discover King Tycoon on their way to find the Earth Crystal who attacks the group." Who attacks the group? King Tycoon or the Earth Crystal? Unclear.
- Fixed
- "..where he shatters this world's Crystals.." "this" is the wrong world: Final Fantasy is not in this world that we live in, after all.
- Fixed. But can you be sure it's not in our world? [1]
- "Faris returns to Tycoon to serve as Queen.." Is Tycoon also a location, as well as the family name?
- Yes, fixed for clarity.
- "She appears in World of Final Fantasy as a supporting character, where she is given her first voiced role." I'm confused about the timeline here, is she voiced in World of Final Fantasy before she is voiced in Final Fantasy V?
- Yes, though I removed it due to being sourced to btva.
- Reception
- "..also regarded Faris highly among its case," Is "case" the right word here?
- Fixed typo
- References
- What makes behindthevoiceactors.com a reliable source?
- Replaced
- Provide page numbers for ref #2, Kohler, Chris (2017).
- Added
- Are there any further details for ref #4? A page number as a minimum, and ideally volume or issue number would be ideal?
- Sadly, specific information is hard to come by for Japanese sources, and that is the most I could glean.
- Ref #19, Musashi. "Final Fantasy Anthology" needs publisher details.
- Fixed
- As does ref #21, Juba, Joe. "Final Fantasy V Advance".
- Fixed
Right, that should be the lot. Nothing major in the prose as expected, just some tidying up to make a few things clearer. A bit more work than I realised in the referencing, but shouldn't be anything too arduous. I'll stick this on hold and watch the page, but feel free to ping me. Faris VJump issue
[edit]Pinging @Judgesurreal777:, and for anyone watching this article, I was called in due to a disputed citation relating to Faris's origin as a gambler character. This page includes the VJump features and rundowns of contents under the Chocobo's FF Factory umbrella, and nowhere is Faris or any other character beside Gilgamesh mentioned (some interesting trivia on other characters from IV and VI though). The closest I've come to that is this set of interviews relating to FFVI, where it says that Setzer was based on the concept for a discarded Gambler job from V. Not a gambler character, but gambler job type. I also can't find anything about Faris being called anything but Faris that doesn't date back to unreliable and uncited trivia and forum pages. My conclusion is that this is at least a case of citogenesis born from a misunderstanding or random piece of false trivia. There is no primary source, and the citation in the article is incorrect. It needs removing ASAP, as it's incorrect and misleading. --ProtoDrake (talk) 21:06, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Gosh, thanks for catching that. I'll have to make sure I'm more diligent in my research from now on. Legit, I had a nightmare about this after I saw this, @ProtoDrake:, lol. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 00:08, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
