Relation to the Book
[edit]Can anyone confirm or deny relation to the "Red Mars", "Green Mars", "Blue Mars" books by Kim Stanley Robinson? 98.132.222.123 (talk) 03:54, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Apparantly not; other than the name and the terraforming angle, it has nothing to do with the book trilogy: http://www.kotaku.com.au/games/2008/02/blue_mars_mmo_will_satisfy_fans_of_mars_womens_fashion-2.html HalfShadow 03:58, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

This is a game that uses CryEngine 2 at full of its power!
[edit]Wow! When I saw this game for the first time in this wiki article I didn't know that the engine would be the CryEngine 2. Then I found another article, CryEngine_2#Games_using_the_CryEngine2, and there were all the games developed using that engine. I saw the Entropia Universe, but sincerely, I didn't liked the models. THEN I saw this game, Blue Mars. I knew it, but I didn't know it was developed with CryEngine 2! I thought: "Maybe they used it at full of its power!". I went to the site, I saw the images, I saw the video: all what I can say is "WOW", cuz finally there's a game use CryEngine 2 at full, using the 3D Water, Physics, Particles and Light fx.. Great work with the models, I like them all! ;) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.41.199.114 (talk) 08:03, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, although it has been quite a challenge to learn, I have been able to do some pretty cool stuff even as a beginner: http://www.vimeo.com/user2856298/videos http://picasaweb.google.com/danielleeberSL/MyBlueMarsBuilds# —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danielravennest (talk • contribs) 23:19, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
