Untitled 2009 comment

[edit]

Uh on my last revision, i forgot to put an edit summary, so im adding it here, ok i went through all the unscheduled games and found the ones that has a release date and added it to scheduled releases.(24.32.94.138 (talk) 03:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]

The release dates listed on this page contain both US releases and JPN releases. For example, Bayonetta's release date is the US date (the Japanese version was released in 2009) while Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is the Japanese date (the US version has not yet been dated). If the intention is to list the US release date, the Japanese dates should be dropped. If the intention is to list the first release date, the US release dates for Japanese games should be dropped. If the intention is to list all release dates for all regions, the region the date applies to should be listed. 174.116.1.61 (talk) 16:17, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since this is the English Version of Wikipedia we use the US release date (24.32.110.10 (talk) 00:32, 13 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]

SkyWalker,

I know 2010 hasn't arrived yet, but wouldn't it be better if we created the article ahead of time and gradually add on to it instead of doing all of it at once? 18:35 8 September 2009 (UTC) (Ageshead13 (talk) 23:35, 8 September 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I agree Ageshed13, keep this title and work on it. Pro66 (talk) 14:14, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

[edit]

Should we add a mention to this being released next year? I believe somewhere in the Euro conventions that Blizzard was attending last month it was announced by Morhaime that it will be released next year sometime.69.57.119.215 (talk) 20:24, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sequels and Prequels

[edit]

Please remove games that are not sequels and prequels from the first paragraph such as Alan Wake, Alpha Protocol, Brink, Bayonetta, Metro 2033, Darksiders, Heavy Rain, MUD TV, I Am Alive, and Split Second. It is misleading to include them as sequels or prequels, I tried to remove them but was reverted back 144.36.246.99 (talk) 13:11, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

lede paragraph

[edit]

Before my edit (which was reverted twice with no explanation), there were 40+ games listed in the lede paragraph. What is the benefit of this? All the games are listed below in a much more readable format. The lede should contain a few of the most notable examples; I don't care which ones, I just picked a few. It's quite possible there are better choices. But the massive list of 40+ games has no purpose. EeepEeep (talk) 07:50, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And now it's been reverted again, but this time disguised as regular edit to avoid violating WP:3RR. Are you familiar with Wikipedia policies on consensus and ownership of articles? You can't resist constructive edits you dislike, you need to give a reason and discuss them. EeepEeep (talk) 08:02, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the place for OnLive? --Peter Porai-Koshits (talk) 11:32, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Add/Remove some games

[edit]

We need to remove some games like Two Worlds II because in 2010 in video gaming it says April 8th, but the two worlds page says Q2 2010. wolfblake 06:07, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Lego Universe

[edit]

Lego Universe is coming out in October 2010 (E3), should that be added? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.139.2.16 (talk) 11:44, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Release dates in various countries

[edit]

Shouldn't this list games's release dates for all regions? Or is it the US releases only? Or the first releases? Blake (Talk·Edits) 18:07, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As it stands now, we include the release in the country were the game was developed plus US, CAN, EU, and AUS releases. Now this should be discussed, as it abuses and fails WP:WORLDVIEW. BOVINEBOY2008 18:13, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So, should it include every important release, or just the first release? Thats the main question. Because for games like Pokemon, it shows Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver as March 14th 2010, but there isn't anything on September 12th, 2009, when it was first released in Japan. Same thing for Pokemon Black and White. The JP date is not shown on this page, and it comes out in 12 days. Blake (Talk·Edits) 18:48, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The way it is now, the JP release should be included on the articles as they are developed by a Japanese company. BOVINEBOY2008 18:50, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
