[edit]I see 1999 in games redirects to this page. It looks as though the mention of Tikal is out of place among the videogames. Perhaps 1999 in games should be a disambiguation page? --Pixelface 11:13, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Which release date?
[edit]I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but I have a question: which release date should be used for lists like this one? It seems as if only the U.S. release date is being used, whether it's the original release or not. For example, Sonic Adventure was released in 1998, but it's here in this 1999 article, and in the "1999 video games" article, because its U.S. release was in 1999. There really is no good reason that I can think of to use these U.S. dates. (This is the English version of Wikipedia, but obviously, not nearly all English-speakers are from the U.S., making the European dates, for example, just as possible to use.) Is there an existing policy or guideline of some sort, or should these be corrected? -Marth
