On the evening of November 17, 2024, Russian troops struck a ballistic missile 9K720 Iskander against a residential nine-story building in the city of Sumy at about 8:37 p.m.[1] As a result, 12 people were killed and 58 others were injured.[2]
Aftermath
[edit]12 people were killed (2 of them children), about 52 people were injured.[3] About 400 people were evacuated from the house in which the rocket was spotted.[4]
Reactions

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and stated that the perpetrators should be punished.[5]
