The 2024–25 season is the 23rd season in the history of AFC Wimbledon and their third consecutive season in League Two. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the EFL Trophy.

Pre-season and friendlies
[edit]On 7 May, The Dons announced they would return to Alicante for a five-day warm weather training camp.[31] A month later, four pre-season friendlies were confirmed, against Charlton Athletic, Maidenhead United, Metropolitan Police and Barnet.[32] On June 21, a home friendly fixture against Brentford was added.[33] Peterborough United were confirmed as the opponents for the training camp.[34]

[edit]AFC Wimbledon were drawn away to Milton Keynes Dons in the first round[45][46] and at home to Dagenham & Redbridge in the second round.[47]

EFL Cup
[edit]On 27 June, the draw for the first round was made, with Wimbledon being drawn away against Bromley.[48] In the second round, they were drawn at home to Ipswich Town.[49] In the third round, a home tie against Newcastle United was confirmed.[50][51]
