Welcome
Welcome to the Star Wars WikiProject. We still have a lot of construction to do, but let's get some creative juices flowing:
- What items should be on our opentask, or should we create an extensive "things to do" page before building the OpenTask template?
- Should we have extensive subpages for subprojects, style, and so on?
- Do we need anything fancy for participation lists? I'm starting a roll call below.
I'll add points in the next few hours. -Deckiller 14:23, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Is this the roll-call? If so, Hi! I don't know as much about SW as you guys, but I am a good editor, so I'll be doing a lot of that.
Things to do
The Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars/things to do page is up. Deckiller 14:53, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
StarWarsProject template
Deckiller, I notice you've proceeded to add the project template to a boat-load of pages. Kudos for bringing to project this far, but I wonder about the general utility of slapping those templates on the talk pages. Instead of slavishly following the lead of all the other projects with the attendant redundancy (the SW project applies to all Star Wars articles, right? But that is exactly what Category:Star Wars already does...), perhaps we could adopt a policy that the template is only added when a moderate standard is met- when an article is:
- Free of fanon.
- Free of substantially incorrect data
- Reasonably well-written and formatted.
This would also be a good way to feed the ToDo list- any article which is so wretched a reader would experience mental pain reading or editting it would go onto it unitl it is fixed up enough to have a template added to the talk page. --maru (talk) contribs 18:17, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- That's a great idea. Perhaps we can had a subheader to the main page discussing this. Deckiller 18:22, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- I started an index for this sort of thing: Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars/index. Deckiller 21:51, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
I have some fonts on word from star wars they are cool if you want i will e-mail them to you! just give your e-mail to me and i will e-mail them! star wars is awesome! --Yodaiamtoo
Priorities
Stress will result if we try and do so many things at once until everyone gets into this project. So, right now, I suggest we work on merging stubs into their respective lists. This will reduce the amount of articles that we have to go through while reviewing articles for the index or things to do page. Deckiller 22:09, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
List project?
I think we should launch a project where we create more narrow charcter lists. I already mentioned splitting the minor jedi list into three lists. However, perhaps lists for old republic, rebel/NR characters, imperial officers, imperial soldiers/soldier classes, and so on. We'd probably end up with 14-17 lists, but it beats 125 one-two paragraph articles. Thoughts? Deckiller 02:32, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
I agree with your idea, we should start with splitting the Star Wars characters into New Republic, Old Republic, and the Empire --Dr. Mahongany 20:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've been considering moving Cindel Towani to either List of minor Star Wars characters or List of Star Wars New Republic characters (well, there isn't one yet, apparently). So what do you guys think? Although the character is not quite as well known to the masses, she appeared (technically) in two Star Wars films, and in a novel. The Wookieepedian 17:51, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Looks good, although you might want to post it in the merge chart on the todo page. Deckiller 18:08, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

We have many options for this, what do you guys think?
We can also create a general article for the Imperial military, with headers for the army, navy, and whatnot, and types of soldiers and vehicles in each section. Deckiller 15:00, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I like the idea of the Imperial military article—which we should have definately. The lists sounds good, but I'm not so sure if it's necessary for the Naboo one...or else we could create seperate lists for homeworld inhabitants. One for Tatooines, etc. —Mirlen 17:34, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I definitely agree that we need a list of Imperial officers. As for the Jedi lists, are we to put the Jedi into the highest rank they achieved? Also, for Mirlen's reference, we do have a list of minor residents of Tatooine. -- wacko2 22:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, for the three jedi lists, we should do it based on highest rank achieved. Deckiller 22:29, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Minor droids in Star Wars- Star Wars families
- List of Star Wars Imperial characters
List of minor Star Wars Jedi apprenticesList of minor Star Wars Jedi knightsList of minor Star Wars Jedi masters- List of Star Wars Galactic Alliance characters
List of Star Wars Old Republic characters

- Lists for each category (brief descriptions on each char in the category if they are not merged with the list). Deckiller 03:32, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah, sure, why not. The Galactic Alliance is just the successor to the New Republic, which began with the Rebel Alliance. So some of the characters are likely to to be found in two or all three of these eras anyway. The only problem is if the subsequent list is too long. -- wacko2 23:46, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Redirecting
IMPORTANT: Using the pound wikilink system to link redirects to headers DOES NOT WORK. --Deckiller 14:57, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- True. But it is still useful, as it preserves data about where in the list a link is pointing to. --maru (talk) contribs 17:00, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- I would like to request a clarification of what you're talking about. --wacko2 05:27, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- They mean that when you redirect a page to another page you can't direct it to a specific header. But maru still likes it since it shows where you intended it to go. --Jedi6 05:34, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Right. It also makes it easy to redirect if an article gets unmerged- you simply have to remove the "List of FOO Star Wars BAR#" and you have your redirect fixed immediately. --maru (talk) contribs 05:38, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. I almost thought you were talking about wikilinks within the text of an article or list. I frequently have links point to a particular subsection of a different article/list. --wacko2 05:49, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. Personally, I don't understand why we can link to other sections with a [[#Foo]] if we are in the same article, but can't do the same thing to another article. --maru (talk) contribs 06:05, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Organizational issues
Anyone agree with me that we're going to have to work hard on trying to make the lists and categories flow so that nothing is left out? We'll have to continue making templates, organizing categories appropriately, and somehow find a way to make everything appear on the Star Wars page without excess links. Deckiller 17:24, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Jedi split
The Jedi list is getting large; I suggest splitting it three-way into these lists. Comments? --Deckiller 21:04, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- Should apprentic be capitalized? --maru (talk) contribs 00:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Wouldn't the proper term be Padawan? -- wacko2 03:06, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I figure that it would be too jargon-y, but it would work just as well. Deckiller 03:10, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'd say decaps padawan then. It is referring to a group, and I think it is capitalized only when it is a title. --maru (talk) contribs 03:15, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- How's that? Deckiller 03:23, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I thought the opposite: that the term retained the capitalization even in the plural. -- wacko2 03:26, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Lemme put it this way. Does this sound/look natural? "She herded the padawans to the central chamber, where Master Yoda awaited them.." "The ambassador addressed the Padawan." --maru (talk) contribs 03:37, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Looking through a couple of Jedi Apprentice books, I notice that "Padawans" is always capitalized. -- wacko2 03:39, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, it seems the universe is inconsistent with the capitalization. Perhaps "apprentices" would be a neutral solution? Deckiller 03:40, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Ya i would agree! all who agree say aye! --Yodaiamtoo

I think this is unnecessary. 1.) There is a Wikiquote for a reason, and 2.) Aren't leadoff quotes unencyclopedic? Deckiller 23:37, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Wookieepedia
'Wookieepedia' is it a easy source or this project emphasis is on pure original work? Not trying to be cheap and lazy but just asking whats the situation with borrowing information from that site... Tutmosis 00:39, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, well we borrow from them, and they borrow from us. I think it's a fair trade off. After all, they copied literally every Star Wars article from here last March when Wookieepedia was created, so I think we desrve compensation for that. ;) The Wookieepedian 00:47, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, one must keep in mind that this is an Encyclopedia, whereas Wookiepedia is a databse for every Star Wars detail. We have to keep things encyclopedic, meaning on fancruft, original reserach, and so on. I mean, if there's no information for a subject, we should get our ideas from Wookieepedia, but it's a good idea to make sure everything here is tailored for an eneyclopedia. Deckiller 04:37, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- When in doubt on a particular point, I often consult both Wookieepedia and The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia to confirm. Sometimes I also borrow info from those two sources to expand an article or a section thereof, but I never directly copy/paste, and if there is a lot of info I usually condense it or just steal the most important points. -- wacko2 05:58, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, Wookieepedia is released under the GFDL, much like Wikipedia, which means that any copy/pasting must be credited (on the talk page or whereever). Use Template:Wookieepedia for this. --Imperialles 00:54, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Keeping an eye on Lightsaber
Just noticed that the article on Lightsaber had been peppered with ads for sites making replicas and one even went so far as to give a small product listing on the page. here is what I've taken out but we should keep an eye on the article. I have it on my watchlist myself. Mithridates 02:53, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- It might be worth mentioning that seller at least with a sentence; they're the only ones selling licensed replicas. Other than that, good catch. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 02:56, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have left the link to their site as they seem to be one of the best out there for replicas, so that should be good enough. Someone just came back and tried to add the information again which I reverted, but I left a note on the talk page so hopefully he'll get it. Mithridates 05:46, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject members Category?

- I'm going to change the participants section around a little now. Jedi6 03:56, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Do we really need {{Openswtasksright}} anymore? Jedi6 04:59, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Nah, we don't need it anymore. Deckiller 14:46, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Star Wars Portal
I decided to be bold and edited the Star Wars Portal. I think we need to set up some way to change the featured article and news per month for the future, like a nomination for a featured article or have a vote every month. We also need to put the Portal:Star Wars templates in more pages to get a higher user viewing rate. Jedi6 07:00, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- We could always put it on the main SW template. Deckiller 14:48, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well I added our wikiproject to Wikipedia:Portal/Directory so that people know we maintain it. Jedi6 22:11, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Arggg. Who ever coded the portal didn't use the portal skeleton. Not only is it confusing but it hampers the chance to become a featured portal. I'm going to try and fix it. Jedi6 23:26, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- I just redid the entire coding for the portal to make it more user friendly. LIke it? Jedi6 00:20, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Looks good. I'd say we change the selected article every few days. Deckiller 00:29, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- I say once a month or very few weeks. But that recoding took a while to do. THe guy who originally made the portal didn't follow the directions at all. Jedi6 00:37, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Jedi6. Considering that we have a fair bit of work still to do before we get a large number of good articles, it may be better to change the selected article infrequently to begin with. -- wacko2 06:10, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, most of the other featured Portals have a pulldate of 1 week. So how about next Monday the 27th we change it? We probably should set up a vote. Jedi6 04:37, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

- BTW, Deckiller, how did you get the yellow text on a black background for the top of the templates? I'm planning to do that with the main SW template. :) The Wookieepedian 09:54, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't do that scheme, that was Jedi's territory. However, I think we should stick with the light blue scheme for the templates, since that fits with the rest of the templates. Deckiller 16:39, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Star Wars Articles
I have spent some time going around today adding star wars project tags to lots of star wars articles. I came across MANY stubs and articles than can be better. Should I list all this articles or is their a way to check all the articles the tag is linked to? Tutmosis 19:58, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, we should only put the tag on complete articles that don't have significant problems. I'm not sure if we can check all the articles the tag is linked to, but once we finish up the Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars/index, we'll have an idea as to what articles need a lot of work/merges/splits/and so on. Deckiller 20:01, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Listed as WikiProject
Should this project be added to Wikipedia:List_of_WikiProjects. Mostly wondering if we were holding off for some reason. It should be added in the bulleted list under film. Lennon 21:38, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Jedi Apprentice Series template
I think their should be a jedi apprentice series books template. Currently I am not in the mood to create one but if you wish you can create it. Do you guys agree their should be one? Tutmosis 19:37, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, there should be one. I'll go ahead and create one. Deckiller 20:00, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Do you guys prefer this color layout:
{{JediApprentice}}
This one:
Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice series | |

| The Rising Force | The Dark Rival | The Hidden Past | The Mark of the Crown | The Defenders of the Dead | The Uncertain Path | The Captive Temple | The Day of Reckoning | The Fight for Truth | | The Shattered Peace | The Deadly Hunter | The Evil Experiment | The Dangerous Rescue | The Ties That Bind | The Death of Hope | The Call to Vengeance | The Only Witness | The Threat Within | | |

Main characters | |
Qui-Gon Jinn | Obi-Wan Kenobi | Siri Tachi | Bant | Tahl | Adi Gallia | Yoda | Xanatos | Jenna Zan Arbor | Ona Nobis |
Or another one? Deckiller 22:00, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- First one The color pallete works better together. Jedi6 22:27, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Although I think the second one looks cool, I concur with Jedi6 on this. The Wookieepedian 22:28, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- The second one does fit the other star wars template colors (except for the main one, which is symbolic). Deckiller 22:30, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think the first one is a better version since the second one looks really bold on article pages. It doesnt blend in. I think if someone (if not me) can tone the colours down a bit maybe it would look better. Tutmosis 00:15, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Proposal: Group of articles at a time improvement drive
I think to create a more community based wikiproject I think we should concentrate on specific groups of star wars articles at one time improving them to atleast basic quality before moving on. For example we can start off with Star Wars musicians: concentrating on improving all the star wars musician articles. After we finished with all of them we go onto another group of articles. I think the wikiproject will benefit from this and we might be able to track our progress better. Tutmosis 01:58, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- So you mean a Star Wars version of Wikipedia:Article Improvement Drive? I know the computer and video games Wikiproject has one set up so why not! Jedi6 02:03, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Not quite that. I am talking about groups of articles to concentrate on as a wikiproject. Like an example of a group of articles would be "The 6 movies", "Star Wars Conflicts", "Star Wars Actors". I think we as a Project should concentrate mainly on one at a time and move on when we think all the articles are now of decent quality. Tutmosis 03:02, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Big problem!
Big problem guys. Sorry to be a pain but you can't use fair use images in templates like that. Fair use images can only be used in articles if they add content to the article. I don't want to remove them from your templates and your project page but they will have to go, it is Wikipedia policy. See WP:FAIR. Thanks. Deskana (talk) 09:07, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Images I am referring to are:
- DeathStar2.jpg
- Rebel_Alliance_Logo.jpg
- Yoda1.jpg
- MaceLightsaber.jpg
- Quigon.jpg (though it's nice to see someone likes my image)
Please note that the fair use policy applies to all fair use images, not just the few I saw there. Simply navigating to the image page shows the terms and conditions of the image- most fair use images can only be used "to illustrate the article in question" or somesuch. Deskana (talk) 09:10, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Policy
The material must contribute significantly to the article (e.g. identify the subject of an article, or specifically illustrate relevant points or sections within the text) and must not serve a purely decorative purpose.
Is this what you are refering to? Tutmosis 20:05, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. Not only is it made clear in that that it must be an article that it is used it, it must not serve a purely decorative purpose. In addition, if you check the individual image pages, they have copyright tags on them. i got the following from Image:Star_wars_poster_1997.jpg
This image is of a movie poster or title card, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the movie or the studio which produced the movie in question. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of movie posters
- to illustrate the movie in question or to provide critical analysis of the poster content or artwork
- on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation,
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Fair use for more information.
To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.
- "to illustrate the movie in question"
- "Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement."
- I really don't want to cause trouble but they do need to go. Deskana (talk) 21:22, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm also unsure as to whether you can use them in Portals or not. I think you can but I might need to check that. Deskana (talk) 21:25, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- The blame is mine, I shall fix it. Jedi6 22:08, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- I got rid of them. I'm pretty sure we can use them in portals for the same reason that the main Wikipedia page can use images. Jedi6 22:50, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Current Selected Articles
Here is the question, Do the current selected articles, (Luke Skywalker, LIst of Star Wars books and the Coruscant Skyline picture) get the selected articles template. We can either give the template and status, even though I picked them myself, or allow them to be picked from now on as if they were never on the portal. Jedi6 00:59, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Star Wars Battle
I was browsing through the Star Wars battles pages and find that we are creating new tables every time. Do you think we should rather use the military infobox or keep the tables? Some star wars articles already intitiated the military infobox, while others still remain as a table. What does the community think the standard should be? Maybe create a seperate Star Wars military conflict infobox? Tutmosis 02:07, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Star Wars Artist needed
If any body is a good artist and has the proper computer tools it would be appreciated that they make a Star Wars themed icon for our wikiproject. This is especially needed since we can't use fair use images(aka almost all Star Wars images) and the images at Wikicommons are ..well..bad. If any one can do this please respond on my talk page.

- I really don't want to cause trouble but they do need to go. Deskana (talk) 21:22, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm also unsure as to whether you can use them in Portals or not. I think you can but I might need to check that. Deskana (talk) 21:25, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

See User:Deckiller/military infobox comparison for a comparison.

Look you've got to decide what picture appeares in Template:User Star Wars WikiProject. I say we have an election because i don't really like . --UVnet 05:20, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- I only put that because I had to change it quikly since the old image was violating Wikipedia image use policy. In addition there isn't many images we have that we can use. There is basically that one, a couple of pictures of Star Wars toys and a guy from GenCon. I'll set up a vote anyway though. Jedi6 05:45, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Clone Wars campaign box
Should we create a campaign box for clone wars? Example provided to the right. Tutmosis 19:30, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- I concur. It would be useful as a navigation tool around the various Clone Wars battles. The Wookieepedian 20:08, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
More information can be found here Campaignboxes if anyone is willing to go ahead and create it.Tutmosis 20:16, 24 February 2006 (UTC)- New development: just found this Campaignbox Clone Wars (21.6-19 BBY) and Campaignbox Clone Wars (22-21.7 BBY). Apparently they were originally created by Ben D. I suggest putting this on the wikiproject front page since their quite a few articles that deal with the clone wars and I havent seen this templates on them. Tutmosis 20:21, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Battles
Video games like Galactic Battlegrounds and other items should not have battle articles, they need to be summarized in a PLOT SUMMARY on the game page. I can understand battles like, the Battle of Endor and some of the larger Clone War battles, but this is a major cruft issue. Deckiller 23:28, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Also, why are there military history project templates for fictional battles? Deckiller 23:29, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Currently im converting all fictional star wars battles into military infoboxes. I think they look better and its just temporary since i think Jedi6 planning on making a new template purely for star wars battles. Regarding the video games, it also requires its own template. Tutmosis 23:39, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- No, I meant why do the articles fall under the military history project. The templates are fine. Deckiller 23:40, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, yes indeed i seen members of the military history project editing the star wars battle articles. I guess their project deals with fixing fictional battles too... Tutmosis 23:44, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- A quick comment: the military history project does not formally deal with fictional events. However, any articles on these that use one of the templates we maintain (such as {{Infobox Military Conflict}} or {{Campaign}}) will get caught up in the general template maintenance runs we do; and some project members do work on fictional battles independently.
- Having said that, we're always happy to deal with any questions or comments about the templates, or about anything else that touches, however vaguely, on military history. —Kirill Lokshin 03:11, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Tutmosis 23:39, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Anyway, back to my original point: I can understand having a plot summary of Galactic Battlegrounds, but it is crufty to give each level its own article. That's like giving the train mission of Goldeneye its own article. Or a cutscene from Xenosaga its own article and summary.Deckiller 23:58, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yea, i agree we shouldnt go that deep, afterall i think you yourself has said on the front page we aint trying to build gamefaqs. Tutmosis 00:05, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. Plus, we can take all the information on the seven-eight battle articles about the galactic battlesground and put them as a plot summary on the game's page. The same can be said for games like Rogue squadron, etc. Deckiller 00:08, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yup, should we create a special section for this in the to-do list? Tutmosis 00:11, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, perhaps in the things to merge section. It'll take some time to see what battles are exclusively for, say, Jedi Knight and Galactic Battlegrounds. I have a few minor financial aid things to work on for the next half hour or so, but I'll be back soon. I'm such a procrastinator, especialy with this whole college thing :)Deckiller 00:29, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Omg, I am really slow today... I just finally understood what you were talking about. Yes, I also agree that giving battles that are exclusive in a game their own article is ridiculous. Tutmosis 02:05, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- -=Nods=- yeah, that's what I meant. Deckiller 02:18, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Think we should nominate them for deletion straight of the bat? Tutmosis 02:20, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Not deletion. They should be merged into a plot summary on the game articles. Deckiller 02:26, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Arent some of them too big for merging and should be chopped down? Tutmosis 02:29, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, we'll have to chop them down a bit once we get the entire summary together, both for flow and for fancruft. Deckiller 02:36, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Okay so I guess we'll have nominate those articles for a merge and get a majority approval. Tutmosis 02:37, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- That will work. I'll start combing for the GB articles. Deckiller 02:39, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Okay so can we agree that we shouldnt allow any battles to have their own pages that are set in the Expanded Universe? I think we should have only battle pages for main series battles and stop creating this forks. I propose all battles set in the expanded universe be merged with their respective source main article. This included Expanded universe: books, games, fan movies and video games. How do you guys feel regarding this? Tutmosis 19:45, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- I propose the qualifications for an independent star wars battle article to be:
- Allowed to have its own article if it is part of the main series
- In the case of an Expanded Universe battle, the battle must have atleast 3 different sources in which it is featured. Example: 3 diffrent books descibe the same battle
All others i would recommend merging into their respectable main articles. For example if their are many battles from one game than maybe make a page titled: Battles in Game X. Please share your own opinion. Tutmosis 20:43, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- That MIGHT work, but we'll have to get some more feedback. Deckiller 22:47, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Star Destroyer divide
Propose splitting into following articles:
- Imperial-class Star Destroyer
- Other Star Destroyers
- Super Star Destroyers
- Predecessors and relatives
Maybe even further, please share opinion since article is 91 kb when acceptable article limit is like 35. Tutmosis 23:37, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- It's being worked out I believe. I think the general idea is for ISD, VSD, SSD, ESD, and maybe RSD articles, and put the rest on the star destroyer page. Deckiller 23:40, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, great to hear and besides the above titles for pages are not really appropriate so i hope u guys figured it out. Tutmosis
Campaign Clone Wars 21.6-19BBY
Okay, i managed to add military infoboxes to all battles listed in Template:Campaignbox Clone Wars (21.6-19 BBY) but I doubt those are all the clone battles that happened between 21.6 and 19 BBY. Can someone double check? Also checked out this battles on wookiepedia and it turns out their infobox information is quite diffrent from most of the information found here. Can someone check and explain to me who has it right? Tutmosis 01:21, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Looks good, although a couple of those battles may be merged into the general clone wars history section in the future. Deckiller 01:32, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- O, okay, so their will be a main clone wars page summarizing every battle?Tutmosis 01:35, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Not every battle, but maybe two or three of the smallest ones there, say the ones featured in the games/books. Deckiller 01:40, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well I think we should make the page like a list, making a brief summary of each and the ones that have their own page we can redirect them to those using the {main| tag. Tutmosis 01:52, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Stressing out over battles
Okay, I'm stressing out here. If we do all these merges, won't that screw up the timelines? I like the idea of the merges, but we're going to have to completely restructure the battle system. That is why I suggest not only battles be merged into their appropriate mother article, but we make long conflict pages (like Mipadi is doing with the Clone Wars) to summarize minor battles. It's a mess, it's going to be very hard to clean up IMO. The new boxes will work wonders on the major battles that will remain. Deckiller 23:02, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- It will be hard but we are hard working people. I am willing to help anyway I can and with some organization and direction this wikiproject can do the impossible. :) Tutmosis 00:55, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- " Possibility is maybe we can split the battles into lists like we did with the characters. List of Expanded Universe Battles or something and maybe break it down further. Tutmosis 00:55, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, every battle is apart of a conflict, and Mipadi is creating a full clone war page taking a lot of the minor battles and just incorporating them into the article. We'll probably have to do that for the rest. Deckiller 01:10, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yea, that is what I ment. Tutmosis 01:22, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Recent Changes section
May I suggest we create recent changes section? I dont know about you guys but when ever I do anything above a minor change I feel like I need someone to double check that I made the right changes. Do you guys think we should have such a section so that other Star Wars Wikiproject members could quickly glance at big recent changes to confirm their correctness? Tutmosis 01:08, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- How would we go about doing that? Jedi6 03:16, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Just make a WikiProject Star Wars/Recent Changes page, I guess. Tutmosis 04:09, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Star Wars Craft/Vehicle Infobox
The following template is designed to be used as an infobox for Star Wars craft or vehicle articles or list entries.
The infobox should be added using the {{SW Craft}} template, as shown below:
{{SW Craft}}
<pre style="overflow:auto">{{SW Craft |image= |name= |Manufacturer= |Specification= |Type= |Length= |Weapons= |Shield= |Hull= |Crew= |Speed= |Troop= |Affiliation= |Cargo= |Passengers= |casualties1= |casualties2= |notes= }}
