Welcome to the West Midlands WikiProject, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving the quality of Wikipedia's coverage of:
- Articles within the West Midlands County
- Articles within the West Midlands conurbation
- Articles within the Coventry/Bedworth Urban Area
- Articles within the three overspill New Towns of Telford, Redditch and Tamworth
- Articles within an approximate 5 mile radius of any of the above
There are currently no WikiProjects for the Midlands or any individual cities which lie within the West Midlands and as the area is a major part in the geography and economy of the United Kingdom, a WikiProject would be the best way to manage all articles that fall under this category.
The West Midlands region is large and therefore, as to keep organisation within the WikiProject, the project will primarily focus upon the areas listed above as there are enough articles within the above categories to keep the WikiProject busy.
The aim is to give all articles in the project a standard structure for their topic. For example, all villages and towns should receive an Infobox on the right of the page.
- Goals
- To expand and improve articles relating to the West Midlands county and conurbation.
- To improve the coverage of information on the West Midlands.
- To improve as many articles in the West Midlands category to the highest standard - Featured Article Status.
- Scope
- The WikiProject is to assist with all the articles under Category:West Midlands.
