  • I'm putting the sources in a collapsed shell for space reasons. I'll reply in a moment. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:17, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
  • @Barfbag666: This was deleted as an A7, so it can't be restored through REFUND. You can ask Peridon if he'll restore it, but offhand there's really not anything to restore. It was comprised of one sentence, "Lucien Greaves (Doug Mesner) is the spokesperson and founder of the Satanic Temple." Of the sources given, few of them are the type that Wikipedia would consider to be the type that would show notability. A basic Google search by itself cannot show notability, nor can Vice. This is because Vice uses gonzo journalism, which is considered to result in dubious reliability as far as Wikipedia's purposes are concerned. Salon is somewhat questionable since they do blogs, so it's not the strongest source. The WBC isn't notability giving at all. You also use a lot of YT links, which can rarely be reliable because of several reasons: anyone can upload footage, sometimes the copyright of the footage is in question, and other reasons.
However the biggest issue here is mostly whether or not Greaves is notable outside of the Satanic Temple. I would argue that the ST is notable enough for their own article outside of the main article on Satanism, however I'm not sure that Greaves is independently notable since most of the coverage centers upon actions he's done as the representative for the church. Of the two the ST is obviously the most notable, so I'd recommend that you look into creating an article for them first and then focus on Greaves. The church would be the highest priority, in my opinion. I'd heavily recommend that you look into getting someone from Wikipedia:WikiProject Occult to help you on this, since this will be a large undertaking. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:26, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
  • Tokyogirl79[[User talk:Tokyogirl79| Thank you. I put a request in the "request for article" section (WP:Requested articles) for the TST, Lucien, Malcom Jerry, and Jex Blackmoore. They're significant figures to many. The logic is i personally don't have enough time to write however now i understand there's "Draft" pages that can be slowly worked at. My thought was get a minimal article up and let others beat on it a little forming it. Wiki is a group effort and all. I didn't want to go after the TST first as i'm thinking if I write that, someone else may remove it from the requested articles. One could probably spend a semester writing a whole research paper in college on that wiki adding value. I started a draft page for Lucien Greaves (i'm not sure if that format will get to a Draft page).Barfbag666 (talk) 13:34, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Not done Wikipedia is not a social-networking site like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. JohnCD (talk) 16:19, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

My page has been added to wikipedia simply as a bio, like many author pages. I am not using it for a 'blog', or promotion.

It does not violate copyright, as my copyright attorney was the one who had posted it. It is merely a reference page- I have no idea why your system is not allowing it.

But maybe even in wiki's world, it's who you know, not what you have accomplished in your life.

This is the simply bio he was attempting to add. There is nothing here, other than fact base descriptions of my work- Regards, GA -Author G A Hauser (talk) 16:13, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Not done - this page is a copyright violation. Who posted is not important. The pages it was copied from (both times, different pages) are copyrighted. You can fix that by following the directions at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Not that it would make any difference the text is not suitable for an encyclopedia page. It would have to be completely rewritten. It would be better to start from scratch. -- GB fan 16:31, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place for people to post, or get their agents to post, copies of their Amazon promotional profiles - see WP:Autobiography. Copyright material cannot be accepted without a formal copyright release, which is seldom worth making because simple copying the subject's own material will not make a satisfactory encyclopedia article, which should be based mainly on what others say about the subject, and requires references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish WP:Notability.
If your agent wishes to make an article about you, they should first read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide and note that they are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use ("Paid contributions without disclosure" under section 4) to disclose their interest in any edits where they have a COI.
Then they should read WP:Your first article and WP:AUTHOR, assemble independent references, and use the WP:Articles for creation process to make a draft for review by uninvolved users. JohnCD (talk) 16:46, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

"Sudhish Kamath is a notable film critic working with the Indian daily Newspaper The Hindu and also an Independent filmmaker. Sudhish wrote, directed and produced two independent films, one in 2006 called That Four-Letter Word and, other in 2010 called Good Night Good Morning. His third feature X, a collaborative project with 11 filmmakers is in the final post production stage and scheduled for release later this year." The deletion note said: Notability seems to have been from films. Which is not true. I have been a journalist for 20 years now and You should be able to find over 3000 articles validating it on The Hindu's official site. I began a page and within minutes a "speedy deletion" notice was sent to me. I didn't have time to amend the page with the appropriate references (which I had intended to do) before the page was deleted. This speedy deletion process is EXTREMELY aggressive and assumes people are on their computers 24/7 and have time to respond immediately. LIFE doesn't allow this -- which was the case here. The page Aaron Brookner was deleted a few days ago based on the proposition that he was not a person of note, although I would argue that there was much evidence provided on the contrary.

Furthermore, yesterday the Sundance Film Festival, one of the most important film festivals in the world, announced that Aaron's next film Uncle Howard would participate in the US Documentary Competition category at the 2016 festival.

There is a whole host of content now online attesting to this release from high profile film and entertainment publications. Please see the following:

Indiewire: http://www.indiewire.com/article/sundance-announces-competition-and-next-lineups-featuring-returning-favorites-and-a-secret-director-20151202 Screen International: www.screendaily.com/festivals/sundance/sundance-us-world-competition-titles-revealed/5097517.article Variety: variety.com/2015/film/news/sundance-film-festival-2015-competition-next-films-1201650705 Deadline Hollywood: deadline.com/2015/12/sundance-film-festival-2016-lineup-competition-lineup-gabrielle-union-uzo-aduba-1201648535 The Hollywood Reporter: www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/sundance-obama-love-story-southside-845080 Contact Music: http://www.contactmusic.com/sundance-film-festival/news/2016-sundance-film-festival_5051575

Please help me reinstate the page for Aaron Brookner so I can update this and build upon the article. Previous work of his that has been recognised by the public includes: Producing the remastered version of Burroughs: The Movie, making the first film for iPad The Silver Goat. There are many sources online for these projects too and were referred to in the previous article.

Thank you.

@Tcottey: Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. JohnCD (talk) 18:15, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Thanks :@JohnCD: - I have carried out a number of updates to the page and I hope these details will be considered, as much more information will soon become available on Aaron's career and work and help to create a substantive article that feeds into a wider network of pages including Howard Brookner, Uncle Howard, Burroughs: The Movie, Robert Wilson and the Civil Wars etc.

Since the article you are here about was redirected after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Madura Kulatunga, it cannot be restored through this process. Yesterday a page was "speedily deleted" before I had the opportunity to enter enough information to satisfy Wikipedia's guidelines. An administrator (Graeme Bartlett) kindly understood the difficulty and revised it as a draft.

There was an attempt to make a page about the YouTuber and it was ultimately deleted via the request of the person who created the article. However that said, the article seems to have had other edits from other users, so I don't know that it would have really qualified for that. I'm going to take a deeper look at this. Punchirikku Parasparam

The article was deleted within 24 hours without giving time for contesting the deletion. The deletion reasons WP:A7 and WP:G11 are meaningless as the article was about a short film in Malayalam language which has enough notability, it was produced by popular stand-up comedian of Ramesh Pisharody and the popular film actors (who are called as "superstars" there) of Malayalam cinema Mohanlal and Mammootty was part of it. It was not a short film done by some college students with a mobile phone camera. This gives enough importance to the subject. The content was sufficiently sourced with reliable sources about the theme, development, technical details and release of the film. I don't even understand why they tagged WP:G11 as it was not at all a promotional page and I don't think any content needs a NPOV. You can look at that. I made the article with much care. I had made this request as the article deleted user User:Liz is written in his user page that he may not respond immediately. There is also an important information that another user had previously created the same article which which was poorly sourced and written that was deleted for that reason. After seeing the importance of the article I recreated it with the quality which can meet the guidelines of Wikipedia. -Inside the Valley (talk) 04:18, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

@Fcco1511: - already  Done in response to your request yesterday. The page is at Draft:Fernando Colon Osorio where you can work on it. This has never been submitted for review: when it is ready, you should click the green "Submit" button in the box at the top of the page. It needs better references that actually mention the subject (see WP:Notability (summary)), both to verify statements in the article, and to establish the WP:Notability of the subject. Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical

The old article (at least from 2014) was moved to a similar title, and has a lot of links. I could recreate the redirect but the admin says in the summary "If you wish to retrieve it, please see WP:REFUND" -Christian75 (talk) 22:22, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Christian75, it looks like the only thing that was deleted was a redirect from the move - there's no other content. I can still restore it as a redirect if you think that it'd be a viable search term, though. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:29, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
    • Tokyogirl79], I have recreated the redirect myself. It was deleted with a WP:G7 - but G7 says "For redirects created as a result of a page move, the mover must also have been the only substantive contributor to the pages prior to the move". Its recreated because it gives a lot of red links to a page which was moved (not deleted). Christian75 (talk) 09:51, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Myke Hurley

This person is responsible for the growing interest in podcasting, had a major role in the podcasting ecosystem and has even launch a varied podcast network. His network is one of the fastest growing out there and has even been covered by Techcrunch (http://techcrunch.com/2015/08/18/relay-fm-and-the-podcast-renaissance-that-never-was/). I tried to update the page with more details, but it was already flagged for deleting. I will keep on adding more if it can come back. I assure you M. •  Not done as the content just said: "David Christopher is a director/actor/producer of pornographic films. Anoomi

The website was temporary offline and somebody delete it... -37.46.39.143 (talk) 23:27, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

The article wasn't deleted because the website was temporarily offline. It was deleted because the subject doesn't meet the notability requirements in WP:GNG. So... Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anoomi, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Joe Decker (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:39, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done TimothyM96, there were several issues with this. The first is that the article was very, very unambiguously promotional - likely the result of you writing your own autobiography. The article would need a complete and total re-write to pass notability guidelines. You may have meant well, but Wikipedia is not a place to promote yourself and this was extremely promotional. Secondly, I'm not entirely sure that you would pass notability guidelines as a whole on Wikipedia. I don't mean that to sound harsh, just that the notability guidelines on here are very strict and a person needs multiple independent and reliable sources to show notability. Just appearing on a local TV news show isn't enough to show notability. You can still try making a new version of the article, but I kind of think that it's far WP:TOOSOON for you to pass WP:NBIO at this point in time. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:19, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
