Energy Sword

This article was deleted per an AFD discussion in 2010, but I'm not wanting to restore the article, but rather its edit history. A possibly related article, Energy sword, was created recently. The edit history of Energy Sword may provide some content that could be merged into Energy sword. If there is reasonable edit history that could possibly be merged into Energy sword from Energy Sword, then I would like for Energy Sword to be recreated as a redirect to Energy sword as an {{R from alternative capitalization}}, and possibly a {{R from merge}}. -Steel1943 (talk) 21:55, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

And if the article is kept, a history merge might be in order. ~Amatulić (talk) 03:57, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
The histories are unrelated, so a history merge would not make sense. --ThaddeusB (talk) 14:24, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Minimally Invasive Surgical Institute

I, SplashMedia, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G11. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it and add it to the [of Texas Hospitals] in Dallas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SplashMedia (talkcontribs)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted here or anywhere else; try contacting the deleting administrator (NawlinWiki (talk · contribs)) in order to be emailed a copy of the article as it stood at time of deletion. G11 is not the "abandoned draft" speedy criterion, it's the "Unambiguously promotional" criterion. I will note the requestor is blocked as a promotional account. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:48, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Blatant guideline violation: WP:CSD#G4 policy excludes pages that are "not substantially identical to the deleted version" (see different versions), and/or "pages to which the reason for the deletion" (see WP:TOOSOON) no longer applies -71.82.114.12 (talk) 00:21, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Well, TOOSOON was obviously a dumb thing to say at the AfD of a dead person, but this isn't AfD2. The new article wasn't the same as the old one, but there was no indication anything had changed since then either... I think the subject is arguably notable, but I can't restore the article in place for you. I could restore it to draft space so that you can work on it without threat of rapid deletion, if you like. It would then need to be approved by an experienced user to move back to mainspace (which is to your own benefit - you don't want it to be deleted rapidly again after all). Let me know if interested. --ThaddeusB (talk) 01:28, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

@Kaurdhillon: Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about music. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning musicians or music groups will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below -Sombir9555 (talk) 06:56, 11 March 2015 (UTC) Dear Sir, A strong protest is herewith lodged against the morality principles of Wikipedia. It had been indeed very shocking to see that suddenly the said article which was published by Wikipedia (through submission of the same in Articles for Creation AFC and not created by my own self) after due course of discussions / verifications of references and links etc has been deleted without assigning plausible / tangible reasons after 9 months of its creation on 6 July 2014. Though I am a regular duly logged in contributor to Wikipedia and has made certain quality contributions in growth of Wikipedia by submitting articles / modification from time to time, the said arbitrary and erratic deletion has pained me immensely.
I have been informed that “This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.”
The reason / argument given is false and misleading. The person about whom the article is published is notable as per your rules. The notability is duly established by way of attachment of number of references which are authentic sources for making the subject notable. The submissions made by me were duly accepted by you and hence the article was published by you under AFC and not directly by myself. The notability of the subject is duly established by way of his contributions to the most esteemed newspapers and periodicals of India. He has made more than 200 contributions to such papers and periodicals apart from being founder of Spastic Society of Gurgaon where more than thousands of children afflicted with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and multiple disabilities are being taken care of and a page is duly published by you on the same after due acknowledgement of the notability of that subject.
It is unethical to delete a page which is published by you in AFC after taking due cognizance of all the aspects and criteria of notability and genuineness of the subject until something to the contrary is found or reported! How can an article published by you 9 months back be suddenly deleted with the above reason when due debate was held and the article was published by your official in AFC after due submission of article by me.
I request you to immediately undelete the article for the creation of which due process of compliance of Wikipedia criteria and policies has already been done. Let your readers, who are spread in all the nooks and corners of this planet, retain trust in your policies which should not sound arbitrary at any stage of evolution of Wikipedia. Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sombir9555 (talkcontribs)

@Sombir9555:  Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rajesh Bhola, it cannot be undeleted through this process.
AfC reviewers are not "officials", they are ordinary users who give some of their time to helping newer users by reviewing their contributions. Acceptance at AfC means that in the reviewer's opinion the article is acceptable, but it is not a guarantee that it will be kept or that it cannot be nominated for deletion.
If you believe that the article was significantly different from the one deleted in April 2013, so as to overcome the reasons for deletion there, you should approach the deleting adminstrator, user RHaworth (talk). Then, if you are not satisfied, you may apply at WP:Deletion review. JohnCD (talk) 09:32, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Not done - The page was deleted because it didn't explain why this person might meet our inclusion criteria for web content. In short you will need references to reliable sources to prove notability. If you wish to develop the page slowly, I suggest you do so in draft space at Draft:Nomadic Fanatic. That way, you aren't under threat of rapid deletion. Keep in mind the subject will have to meet the inclusion criteria for the article to survive in mainspace, so you might want to give that some thought before continuing to avoid wasting your time. I have unblocked and restored the page to Draft:Broadbandchoices. Previous account was blocked for a username violation, so even if this is the same person a new account is permitted. WikiuserUK, do not attempt to move this article back to mainspace yourself unless you want it deleted and yourself blocked. Instead, use the submit button on the an articles for creation template that I added to the page when you think it is ready and it will be reviewed by an experienced editor. • I have moved the page to Draft:Roger Groos instead of deleting it to give you a chance to improve it. Being "a real person" is not sufficient for inclusion to Wikipedia. Instead you must demonstrate what we call notability, which in short means in depth coverage in multiple reliable sources. Once you think you have satisfied that requirement, then use the green "submit this draft" button on the template at the top of the page and it will be reviewed by an experience editor. If you decide not to proceed, add {{db-g7}} to the top of the page and it will be deleted for you. @SirJamesHunt: I'm not sure this is salvageable - it's worse than I thought. I have so far removed nine paragraphs, copied from three different sources. I will press on and see what is left; I have kept all the references, which at worst may act as a framework for rebuilding something. I will also look back through the history to see whether any earlier versions are better. JohnCD (talk) 16:28, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
@SirJamesHunt: I have restored Draft:Soft robotics (small "r" because normal style is to use capitals within a title only for proper names). You will see that removing copyvios has left it pretty well gutted - I found eleven passages which had been copied, from five different sources. More on your talk page. JohnCD (talk) 20:11, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
However, there is some good news - several of those passages were from a source released under a CC-BY license, which means they can be used provided proper attribution is made. JohnCD (talk) 21:18, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G12, which indicates a page copied and pasted wholesale from another source, or otherwise closely paraphrased from same. G12 deletions will not be overturned here or anywhere else. The article *was* restored on February 21st and then pretty-much immediately (as in, in the same minute it was restored) deleted once again as a copyright infringement, which suggests to me the G13 deletion is a misclick and the draft was supposed to be deleted under G12 to begin with. Regardless, copyright-violating material will not be restored. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 08:37, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

Draft:Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect

The copyright violation points to random page on the internet that has as much reason to assert copyright as Wikipedia itself (i.e., it most certainly does not represent the author). Furthermore, the quote used in this page is a small excerpt from a speech the original author held. The speech has not been published on the author's website, as far as I can see, or I would have linked there. It being a relatively short excerpt (compared to the supposed length of the whole speech), it seems like this excerpt should fall under fair use provision anyway. -DirkjanOchtman (talk) 10:56, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

I'd like the page to be brought back so that there is a coherently, well written page to refer to when an individual searches for the game. There are other 'wikis' out there that are either not in English or that are, but poorly translated and/or worded. I'd like to either edit this page if brought back or remake it entirely so that it's a reliable information source for the game. ( Voice cast, release date, summary, character cast, etc. ) -Fruitgrub (talk) 06:12, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

@Fruitgrub: Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user DAJF (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute. Read WP:Your first article for advice; if the article is to be kept, it needs references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish Wikipedia:Notability. This is an article I'm writing about my dad because he made the first optical discovery of the pulsar star in the late 1960's. I'm taking so long to reedit the article because I'm not an egghead and this wikipedia process is mindbogglingly confusing to me. I'm not a complete idiot, yet I can barely understand the instructions for undeleting the article, let alone the instructions I received for fixing the issues a moderator had with when it was declined. Mr. Kuldeep Sharma has recently entered the Canadian Hotel industry after over 30 Years of experience in the Security industry in India. He is recent into the hotel industry and his hotels are performing better than his competitors with decades of experience. Mr. Sharma has stirred up the industry as a new comer and will be acquiring more properties in the Greater Toronto Area. In his previous operations in India he employed over 10,000 people and in Canada he currently employs 100+ people in the Greater Toronto Area and will be increasing his employment exponentially in the years to come. He is currently a nominee by the Brampton Board of Trade to receive the Leadership Award 2015 for the City of Brampton.

It is unclear why his profile was deleted despite proper citation. Please advise on next steps. You can contact me directly at: (Redacted) -Djsdown (talk) 22:25, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

  • @Djsdown: - The reason the article was deleted is that all the sources are about the hotel Sharma owns, not the man. Our policy on biographies of living people is very tough. It is this way because otherwise anyone could write anything about anybody (including horrible lies) and we would have no way of verifying if the info was true or not. You may well know that what you wrote about Sharma is true, but we don't. Thus we must delete the article for his own protection (someone could come along later are write lies about him, perhaps after having a bad experience at his hotel, for example). --ThaddeusB (talk) 15:06, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
