Huggle active on Wikispecies?
I think Huggle on Wikispecies was activated over a year ago, but when trying to use it, it seems its read only, the revert buttons etc, are not active? Dan Koehl (talk) 21:57, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- That's probably because configuration was incomplete and Huggle wasn't working properly, sending non-existent templates to users and so on. Petrb (talk) 14:16, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Warning messages on Data
@Petrb:, I "imported" some of the warning messages from enwiki to wikidata, but I think I did something wrong, since the warning doesnt climb up in level, for each new message, they remain on level 1, please see this edit. With some advice, I may be able to fix this, if you have limited time, but need instructions how to fix this. Dan Koehl (talk) 21:47, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Each warning is containing magic code that is used to recognize warning level, it's typically on the end of warning in form of HTML comment (so invisible on rendered page). These magic codes are listed on warning-template-tags section of project config, see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Huggle/Deploying/DefaultConfig.yaml for more details. My guess is that these tags are missing in wikidata project config and because of that Huggle is not able to determine proper warning level from template sources. Petrb (talk) 14:12, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Petrb:, Once again thanks for your advice. Ill try to look into those issues. Dan Koehl (talk) 14:35, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Petrb:, I have gone through the warning templates, and changed some, according to the ones at enwiki, maybe you can be kind and just look through the code, and see if they are now correct?
- There may of course also be the risk of some errors in the configuration, e.g. the calling of those files. Dan Koehl (talk) 17:10, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- You don't need to update the templates, you need to update the project config Petrb (talk) 17:51, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

Welcome new Users on Good Edits
Hey, With the standard configuration, Huggle sends automatic a Welcome message to new Users with an empty talk. The Problem: The welcome message is also send to IP adresses. How can I fix that?--Janui (talk) 16:45, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- At this moment probably easiest way is to open new phabricator task to implement option for welcoming only registered users. Petrb (talk) 13:53, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
Extensions
How does one add an extension in python? The extensions menu seems to expect JavaScript.
Also, are extensions documented in the manual? I couldn't find such documentation. Thanks! Ijon (talk) 16:52, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, Python engine was deprecated with 3.4.0, there was several announcements regarding that, it was done during Wikimedia Hackathon this year in Barcelona. As of now Huggle supports JS extensions only, you can find examples here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Huggle/JS some basic documentation is here: https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx/wiki/JS-Extensions Petrb (talk) 13:55, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
Unable to login
I'm unable to login, I get the following error: ERROR: api.php responded with unknown result: WrongToken. Anything wrong at my end? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 21:50, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
- Okie, nevermind. I figured that I was launched a dated version of the 32-bit programme instead of the latest one. My bad. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 22:03, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
Docking
This is probably so second nature to many people that it is thought not to need explanation, or perhaps I've just missed finding it in the manual. Either way, it is a mystery to me. Every now and then I unintentionally undock portions ("panes"?) of the Huggle user interface window. Currently, I have the Queue bit unintentionally undocked. How do I redock it so as to get back to something resembling this? Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 11:12, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Wtmitchell: That should be just a matter of click-n-dragging it back to its original position. Just drag it to the left of the main section and it should show a blue bounding box. Releasing the mouse button (Eg: if you stop dragging) at this point it should snap into place and be docked again. This method can also be used to rearrange the UI to your liking as you can dock sections wherever you like. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 12:32, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Slight grammatical quibble on Huggle page
It currently reads: "Also, please use it with caution and verify every edit you made." For consistency within the sentence, it should be: "Also, please use it with caution and verify every edit you make." Thanks! 1980fast (talk) 22:05, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

Queuing up old suspicious edits
Huggle will queue up edits of who has been reverted. This one was rather stale, though valid. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:08, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Possible whitelist issue
ImprovedWikiImprovment accidentally restored an instance of vandalism that I had just reverted. I've nearly done the same thing numerous times, but the system has alerted me, saying something about "you're reverting a whitelisted user". ImprovedWikiImprovment does not recall a message like that displaying. Is this message something that can be toggled on/off by the user, or is it possibly not notifying even though it should be? Home Lander (talk) 21:13, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- Yes that message can be disabled in user preferences. There is actually a number of checks that should prevent this kind of stuff from happening. Petrb (talk) 11:58, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
Wishlist proposal on one-click inline cleanup tags
The current Wishlist Survey has a proposal to make it as easy to tag (with "citation needed" etc.) as it is to rvv. This should be faster than writing custom comments in a good-faith revert, and there is evidence[1] that it will cause more new editors to fix their own edits, learning editing skills and improving content in the process. Please consider voting on the wish. HLHJ (talk) 19:12, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- We don't need to vote, it's really about opening a task in phabricator. Petrb (talk) 22:17, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- BTW shouldn't this be linked with another action that would deliver a template message to user who added unsourced text and inform them about addition of this template and the fact that if they fail to add source, their text might be deleted or reverted in future? Petrb (talk) 22:19, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

- This is a very nasty bug that I believe resides in MediaWiki there are couple of long term tasks related to it. This can be fixed multiple ways, most simple is just to restart Huggle, which probably doesn't work in your case - I can't say why, if you don't want to bother with investigation, you can just create a bot password here: Special:BotPasswords and try that instead, check these permissions: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Huggle/Bot_passwords If you want to investigate this issue, you can create a query dump - start huggle with parameter --qd, replicate the issue and then paste contents of querydump.dat (this file will be in working path - most easy is to navigate to some path using cmd.exe, then launch huggle from cmd.exe using --qd and then the file would be in folder from which you started huggle), so that we can analyze the API flow. Please keep in mind that file will contain some data that may be considered confidential by some people (IP, tokens etc.) Petrb (talk) 23:41, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Huggle not prompting to report/block after level four warning?
Twice now I've reverted an edit by a user who had received a level four warning and when I clicked to revert and warn, the revert happened but no warning was posted and I was not prompted to report/block the user. It's not an issue of the level 4 warnings being old—both users (User talk:24.187.122.0 and User talk:68.193.182.202) received their last warnings several minutes before my revert. GorillaWarfare (talk) 22:54, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
- Hmm that's odd, do you happen to have the logs from it? I am fairly sure if Huggle knew these users should have been reported and didn't report them for some reason, that the reason would be in the logs. If there was nothing in logs, it means Huggle didn't know these users had warnings and should have been reported. Only thing that comes to my mind is the feature implemented recently (as in last 6 months) that checks if last warning was not given too recently, to avoid slapping users with templates too quickly, but this check is set for about 1 or 2 minutes. So unless your revert happened less than 1 or 2 minutes after last template written to their talk-page this shouldn't happen and even if it did, there would be a message about it in system log.
- This is where it was implemented:
- first version (here it always asked user explicitly): https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx/commit/d9dc452a365e4f87a7208ff9eb4afdae4d7fbd30
- changed to print only to system log instead of asking user by default: https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx/commit/63ff272a5c1329b34086d527ba3d3890a17019df
- These commits are 5 months old Petrb (talk) 12:09, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- Oops, never followed up on this. I'm no longer seeing the issue, though I'm now seeing a different issue (reported in a new section below). GorillaWarfare (talk) 02:28, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Huggle automatically reverts the next edit after the level 4 warning notice is dismissed
I've been running into an issue where, if a user has had a level 4 warning and the pop-up asks if I want to report, whatever edit comes next in the queue is automatically reverted and the user warned when I either click "report" or dismiss the pop-up. I've noticed this happening for some time, but you can see where it just happened here after I reverted this edit and dismissed the pop-up. GorillaWarfare (talk) 02:24, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, do you happen to use MacOS? There is a keyboard bug, probably in Qt, which results in key press event being sent multiple times on press of any key, so for example when you press R for revert, the event is triggered for 1 up to 4 times instead of just once (like if you pressed R 3 times for example) the amount of "fake" key presses is random. This is a very annoying bug that happens on MacOS only, for which I created a workaround involving check of delay between individual key-press events, which is currently set to less than 1 second. The reason for this bug is probably that when you press R to revert, Qt's keyboard subsystem again (for unknown reasons) generates N key presses, calls the Huggle's keypress event (which remembers last time when it was triggered), then display a popup message which freezes the event queue and after you answer the popup (which probably takes longer than the safety delay check is set for - less than a second) it dispatches remaining fake keypresses to Huggle, which executes revert of next edit (in theory it could be more than 1 edit). Workaround would be to use mouse to revert, mouse clicks don't suffer from this nasty bug. I hope that in future Qt versions this bug is fixed, but I am afraid it's not. If you start Huggle in verbose mode (paramter -v) you will see messages like "Keystroke bug on <integer> span <integer>" which is informing you that bug was triggered and Huggle ignored consecutive keypresses. Petrb (talk) 12:17, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Ah, that would be it then. I do use MacOS. Thank you for the detailed reply! GorillaWarfare (talk) 22:41, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
'Q' to revert and warn not working
Hello, I have used Huggle in the past, and I am used to pressing 'Q' to revert and warn a user. However, lately, this only reverts (as you may see in my contributions). Is there any way to fix that or is a different key? Thank you. Hummerrocket (talk) 22:24, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
Never mind. :) But it occasionally doesn't work, like in the beginning. Hummerrocket (talk) 22:41, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
- That's probably because newer Huggle doesn't send templates to users who recently (within last 2 minutes) received one from someone else. This can be disabled in settings. Petrb (talk) 21:20, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
Huggle error
I am getting an error in Huggle. "Unable to retrieve data from wiki feed, last error: Query result doesn't contain any data". Can you please help me out. Thanks. Pkbwcgs (talk) 16:29, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, that sounds like some network issue, also wiki feed is a last resort fallback in case IRC and XmlRcs doesn't work, so that also indicates you are having some network issues. My guess is firewall? Is that a corporate or school network? Petrb (talk) 21:21, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Petrb: No, I am editing from home. The system log just says "Unable to retrieve data from wiki feed, last error: Query result doesn't contain any data" approximately every 12 seconds. I have done a lot of vandalism fighting yesterday and today. My history records 399 edits using Huggle in one editing session. However, I am closed my laptop in the middle so could it have went down while it was closed? Will restarting Huggle work? Pkbwcgs (talk) 22:00, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hmm OK in that case you can probably ignore that error. If you close your laptop it will go to sleep, meaning all your open TCP connections will die, including HAN IRC, RC Feed and all running API queries. When you wake it back up Huggle will write couple of errors related to failed TCP connections, and fallback to alternative RC feed. You can either restart Huggle to reconnect everywhere you should be connected to, or simply switch to XmlRcs feed and resume using it. Petrb (talk) 22:43, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Petrb: Now, I am getting a string of "failed to obtain diff" errors from the system log by changing to XmlRcs. Pkbwcgs (talk) 22:52, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
- Anyway, I have closed Huggle down for today. Tomorrow, I will try and get Huggle up and loading again and hopefully this error will not be persistent again. However, I won't restart it again for now. Pkbwcgs (talk) 23:09, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

IP only edits
Hello,
As someone who's gaining experience with Huggle, I'd like to review only IP-changes to start out. That way, I would get used to the interface a lot more: and not have to accidentally template a user. Is there anyway that this is possible? Thanks. –eggofreasontalk 01:41, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, open preferences and create a new queue (click insert button and then click on new queue) with this settings (don't forget to hit Save button before you close preferences dialog), then pick that queue from list on left Petrb (talk) 09:03, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
- Also change "default for this site" to this new queue, and make sure queue is selected in main window. Petrb (talk) 09:04, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
Huggle Not Warning Users
I have recently noticed that Huggle is not warning every user that I revert for vandalism. It warns some but not all users. I know that Huggle has a feature that bases a warning off the latest warning on a user's talk page but this occurs even if the user's talk page is empty. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! ~ Philipnelson99 (talk) 03:36, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, but can't reproduce this myself, Huggle always deliver a warning to me. I strongly recommend checking system logs, you can also start Huggle with -v parameter to make them more verbose. If there is a reason for Huggle not to send a warning, it will say why in logs. If Huggle fail to send a message it will say why in logs. Petrb (talk) 18:26, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
- I'm still getting these errors, and I have been for serveral weeks nowI don't know if this is a setting or not but it's very frustrating and if anyone could help I'd appreciate that. Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:32, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Petrb, hi, I think that Shellwood and me are experiencing the problem too. See https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nick_Mancuso&action=history for example, specifically diff 1, diff 2 and diff 3. I sadly did not run Huggle in a terminal. Is there a way to retrieve relevant logs on Windows 10? Neither the Win10 "log explorer" application nor the Huggle folder nor my AppData folder seem to contain Huggle-related logs. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:40, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
- Yes it's possible to get the logs in Windows, they are in system logs tab of Huggle, if you want to have them in a file, you can start Huggle with parameter --syslog, for example --syslog C:\some_folder_you_can_write_in\huggle.log I believe that problem you have is that your bot login doesn't have permissions to create new pages. Sometimes, but often not always warning count restart
I have reported a number of people to AIV only later to discover that the level four warning was left weeks ago. Example: 174.87.209.84 (talk). I manually left a warning. Also, if I may request, that the AIV report somehow indicate that an edit was beyond the warning increment restart limit. Sometimes older edits are useful. Thank you 05:15, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, what exactly do you mean by "AIV report somehow indicate that an edit was beyond the warning increment restart limit"? If Huggle consider warnings too old, it ignores them. Petrb (talk) 23:01, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
- Regards to the above example, I had just reverted the IP. Huggle said something to the effect that the warning count was four and no more warnings would be posted to the anon's talk page. It gave me an option to report to AIV which I chose to do. The list included the one I had just reverted. The other edits on the list were a month old. The anon had a level 4 warning on their talk page, but it was nearly a month old. Shouldn't Huggle have restarted the warning count at one?
- I have made the mistake of not carefully reading the dates of edits in cases such as this and reported people to AIV. Thanks Jim1138 (talk) 10:45, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Another interesting event 188.39.51.170 (talk) Had an old level 3 dated Oct 15, then a level 1 dated Nov 5. I reverted three minutes later and Huggle added a level 4. I don't think Huggle should have done that. Interestingly, the anon was blocked for a week shortly thereafter. Does Huggle employ a crystal ball? Jim1138 (talk) 11:55, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Time for templates is defined in project configuration under key "template-age", but it's not specified on enwiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Huggle/Config.yaml so it falls back to default value, which is 30 days. So any templates that are not older than 30 days are still valid for Huggle. Petrb (talk) 13:12, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Huggle/Deploying/DefaultConfig.yaml for documentation for the config page. Petrb (talk) 13:13, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Petrb: Just wanted to make sure before I edit Wikipedia:Huggle/Config.yaml (to fix this issue once and for all): do I simply insert
template-age: -1
anywhere on that page (somewhere logical with a comment to make it easier to identify), which will result in Huggle ignoring warnings that are over one day old? —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 11:26, 29 November 2018 (UTC)- Yes, that's how it works, you can also copy whole configuration page to your user space and start Huggle with --override-conf User:K6ka/test.yaml that way Huggle will load that project config so that you can test it. I strongly recommend discussing this change with others. It seems to me that 1 day is extremely short value. Petrb (talk) 11:42, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

Login error
I'm getting this error when I try to log in to Huggle: "Login failed: Unable to parse the global configuration. See debug log for more details.: Query result doesn't contain any data." I don't know where the debug log is stored, and it's my home network, so no network firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Giant icons and sidebars, small diff viewing area
I just upgraded to 3.4.6 from 3.4.3. I had 3.4.4 for a while but downgraded after experiencing this issue, without addressing it. 3.4.3 is the last version where this does not occur. I just came back after a break and updated my Huggle and am still experiencing this issue. The top menu bar, the processes, HAN and the sidebars have all increased in size to the point where the diff viewing area is only about 25% of my screen. There is a lot of white space between text (the font size in these areas has not increased) and the icons on the top menu bar are very big relative to the entire window. To top it all off, the text in the diff viewer is in a large font, which makes it difficult to read the content. The login screen also has issues with lots of white space between text and is now physically larger. Aspening (talk) 04:53, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, do you have UHD monitor? If yes, try disabling (or enabling) system scaling per instructions on download page https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Download Petrb (talk) 13:59, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Petrb: Tried that; the icons are still bigger than they used to be but at least Huggle is usable for me now. Thanks! Aspening (talk) 00:47, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- Can you provide a screenshot so that I can check if this is normal or not? If you were running old Huggle on UHD monitor without system scaling, then your icons were incorrectly smaller than they were supposed to be, so the size is probably correct now but you are not used to it. Getting error while trying to install on Linux
I recently got a chromebook, and am now running KDE 4.14.16 on crouton. Whenever I tried to install huggle with sudo snap install huggle, I get this message:
error: cannot communicate with server: Post http://localhost/v2/snaps/huggle: dial unix /run/snapd.socket: connect: no such file or directory
Is there any troubleshooting suggestions that can be bought up? This is my first time running Linux. Also, for what it's worth, I tried going to the snap store, and it doesn't seem to be installing from there, either. - Hello, unfortunatelly snap technology is still in its cradle, so this is probably some bug within the snap system itself. I recommend building Huggle from source code, but that may be even bigger challenge in case you are new to Linux. Which distribution is this? Ubuntu? Is it possible for me to download and run this in VirtualBox? Petrb (talk) 14:00, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Petrb: Yes, this is ubuntu, but I'm not sure that this is a 'distribution' that you would normally get, but something you would download specifically for chromebook, with only konquerer coming pre-installed. One sec, I'll get the version of Ubuntu. I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 21:16, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

- Here are some old instructions for compiling on Ubuntu https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx/wiki/Building-on-Linux problem is that "Qt packages" differ in every Ubuntu version, so it may be a bit tricky to find the correct ones. Alternatively you can download whole Qt SDK from https://qt.io and then run ./configure with option "--qtpath ~/Qt/<version>/<compiler>` but this is a bit advanced stuff that expects knowledge of programming on Linux Petrb (talk) 10:19, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Help getting back to a clean user interface
I'm moving to a new laptop. On my first use of Huggle after install, I managed to inadvertently un-dock all the user interface components shown here except #s 1, 2, 9, 10, and 12. The un-docked components have disappeared. How do I get back to a clean default interface? Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill)
- Hi, here is how - if this helps you, feel free to incorporate it to Huggle manual so that it helps others in future http://mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Huggle
- Step 1 - Start Huggle and login, then check window (widget) called "system logs" typically it's located on bottom of main window, it will contain a path to Huggle home, here is example on my MacBook:
Sat Mar 2 18:51:14 2019 Home: /Users/petr.bena/Library/Application Support/Wikimedia/Huggle Sat Mar 2 18:51:14 2019 Loading configuration Sat Mar 2 18:51:14 2019 Huggle version 3.4.6 build: 3726 3.4.6
- Step 2 - shut down Huggle.
- Step 3 - navigate into Huggle Home, in my case "/Users/petr.bena/Library/Application Support/Wikimedia/Huggle" and either delete whole folder Configuration, or if you want to reset only layout and nothing else, then delete all _geometry and _state files you can see there.
That's it. Petrb (talk) 17:53, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. No joy with that procedure, but I found another way. A search on my Win10 system for filesystem object names containing huggle turned up a directory named Huggle in my user AppData>Local>Wikimedia. Renaming that to Huggle.sav and starting Huggle got me a default user interface layout. Cheers. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 20:50, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
- The path is different on each platform, but it's always visible in system logs. Petrb (talk) 21:16, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

Huggle should allow custom edit summaries and always leave a clear, unambiguous edit description in case of reversions
@1233: @Rockstone35: @Aroha220: Hi, guys! There was a case in which a user had an edit reverted due to suspected vandalism; this revert was undone after the user who reverted was told that it was a legitimate edit and not vandalism. But the scenario in my view exposed an issue with Huggle reversions: they don't always leave indications clear to infrequent Wikipedia users/editors of what's exactly going on.
The user who made the original edit did not know why the edit was reverted, and the edit summary was simply "( (HG) (3.4.6))". While HG is clickable (leading to Wikipedia:Huggle), an editor unfamiliar with Wikipedia may be overwhelmed and not understand what's really going on. I think Huggle should always leave a plain English edit description with explicit instructions to contact the user who used it, and in addition Huggle should allow the entering of a custom edit summary. Huggle crashes system completely in latest macOS Mojave
Just cross-posting here from GitHub to see if I'm the only one with an issue. I'm using latest Huggle with latest macOS Mojave (10.14.4) and the app completely crashes when I quit it and run it again. Surprisingly, when I restarted it (with windows restored), Huggle was working again. --qedk (t 桜 c) 22:18, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, I answered on GitHub, this package is built with High Sierra to ensure compatibility with older MacOS as well, anyway I can run it both there and Mojave with no crashes whatsoever. No idea what you mean by "crashes system completely", you mean that whole OS crashes? Doesn't make any sense. Petrb (talk) 11:34, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Petrb: Yep, the whole system locks up, there's unusual visual artifacts on the screen and it is completely unresponsive to user input. --qedk (t 桜 c) 14:19, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Huggle marking all my reverts as “minor”
Hello all. For some reason Huggle is marking all my edits as minor. Is there a toggle button on Huggle that has become triggered the wrong way? If so, where would I find it? I looked at the drop-down menus but am not seeing it. Turning Huggle off and back on doesn’t change it. My last resort is to delete the program and reinstall, but I’m not wanting to go there until I’ve tried everything else first. Thanks in advance! Jusdafax (talk) 17:47, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- Hello I see only rollbacks marked as minor which is normal, you can toggle "software rollback" if you want Huggle to emulate rollback by doing edit, which shouldn't be minor. Petrb (talk) 17:42, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- Nope, it’s virtually all the Huggle edits, not just the rollbacks. It seems to me that there is some toggle I need to flip, but I can’t find it. Standing by for further thoughts, thanks. Jusdafax (talk) 06:34, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
- Since it appears no one here knows, I’ll ask elsewhere or go back to using Huggle, warts and all. Jusdafax (talk) 03:38, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, I was checking your contributions and I can only see rollbacks marked as minor, all other edits you are doing with Huggle are marked as regular edits. So I really don't see what issue are you facing? Did you try changing preferences to software rollback? Petrb (talk) 08:56, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

Signature problem on frwiki
Hi,
Is it normal that when Huggle writes a message for IP contributors, it signs twice, like here: [4]? It uses the template Bienvenue IP méritante. I don't know where to go to see the code to fix the problem so I'm asking here.
Thanks! — Antimuonium U wanna talk? 08:47, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, no it's not normal. As you can see in documentation for configuration https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Huggle/Deploying/DefaultConfig.yaml Huggle is expecting templates to not contain four tildes, so you should probably change the template used to welcome IP users to some which doesn't. Multi-monitor confusion
This is probably low priority. I have a second monitor on the HDMI port of my W10 laptop, huggle pops up (some?} stuff on the laptop screen instead of the monitor where I have the Huggle window. This is most bothersome on clicking the Page tab -- the other tabs show pulldown menus, but this one pops up a window on the screen I'm not looking at. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 11:17, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
- This is probably related to this task I created now https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T223223 Petrb (talk) 10:22, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
- Wtmitchell - Next time that a window opens on the wrong monitor, just move the window to the correct place, and then close it by going to File --> Exit... NOT by clicking on the 'X' on the top-right corner. Using the proper File --> Exit method of closing a window or program will prompt Windows to save where it was located last time on your screen, and will open it in the same place next time. Clicking on 'X' won't do that except in circumstances where that information was coincidentally needed anyways. Ever since I found this solution, it's worked each time for me without fail. Give that a try and let me know if this works. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:47, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

- @Interstellarity, Oshwah, and Cacycle: to me this sounds like implementing User:Cacycle/wikEdDiff.js over an entire article. Someguy1221 (talk) 03:35, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- Someguy1221 - I haven't implemented this script before (that I can remember), but if it adds a diff alongside the latest revision of the page, then this is what Interstellarity is looking to do. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:16, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Oshwah: so that's not quite what it does, but I feel like it's close. It basically takes the diff and smooshes the before and after into a single text, with anything from a character to whole sections color-coded to indicate added/removed/unchanged, and I'd say it gives a good ol' college try at showing text that moved. Like normal diffs, it still omits portions of the article that are unchanged. That's I guess what I meant by, "over an entire article", that I think this script minus that omission would be what Interstellarity is looking for. My understanding is that wikEdDiff actually would give that as an output, but for the "clipping" sections of the code at User:Cacycle/diff.js. Someguy1221 (talk) 06:24, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, I am not entirely sure I understand what exactly you want Huggle to do - if it's displaying the diff in similar way as MediaWiki does it (what you see when you press O), then this is probably doable, although it requires some coding, it's not complicated change. Or do you expect something more? I don't think even MW highlights the changed parts in the page itself, only in the diff itself? Petrb (talk) 19:54, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
- Also keep in mind MW doesn't show diff with latest revision of the page - it shows the diff with exactly the revision to which the diff belongs to. I don't think there is any point in seeing diff and possibly unrelated version of the page. Petrb (talk) 19:56, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Huggle not warning users
After sending someone their first warning, Huggle will always fail to send them additional ones. I always have to do this via Twinkle and it's getting kind of tedious... I'm on Huggle 3.4.8. Saucy[talk – contribs] 18:31, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, can you please send us logs from "System log" tab? This could be related to feature where Huggle doesn't send consecutive warnings if user was last warned less than 2 minutes ago - this is to avoid bombarding users with warning templates, without letting them have time to actually read them (it often happens that someone makes 3 bad edits, then someone else revert all 3 bad edits and sends 3 warning templates in same time, which is just wrong). Petrb (talk) 08:58, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, the log often says the talk page was edited too recently, even if the last edit was way longer than 2 minutes ago. Saucy[talk – contribs] 18:44, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
- OK, in that case it's probably not a bug. If you don't want to use this feature, you can disable this in Huggle preferences. Petrb (talk) 12:47, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
- Where exactly do I disable it? This feature is very broken for me Saucy[talk – contribs] 06:46, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Preferences -> Warnings -> Confirming -> uncheck all. Petrb (talk) 20:24, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Petrb, what's the threshold time that Huggle looks for on the user talk page and when it was last edited before it will warn a user again if these options are enabled? Is there an easy way that we can add an option below these tickboxes in the Huggle settings order to allow users to customize and set that threshold value to something different? I think that these options are important to have enabled, but I'd like to be able to set that threshold value myself. I think that simply having an integer input box in the Huggle settings under those tick boxes would be perfect; just let users set in minutes how long after the previous edit made to the target user talk page with a warning should be before Huggle will leave the next warning message... assuming that this option is enabled above with the tick boxes. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:56, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

Also, perhaps making the following customisable:
- How old an edit is before it no longer warns a user.
- If dealing with an IP user, how long ago since they got their last warning before it no longer escalates from one level to the next (level one warning, level two, level three, etc.) I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 05:07, 14 June 2019 (UTC) (added three words at 05:08, 14 June 2019 (UTC))
- Hello, it's these parameters in user config page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Petrb/huggle.yaml.js) Petrb (talk) 20:00, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
# // If true you will not warn users who received a warning recently confirm-on-recent-warning: true # // If warning was sent less than N seconds ago it's considered too recent recent-warning-time-span: 120 confirm-warning-on-very-old-edits: true
- I just figured out there was a bug though! This option was not being stored in user config (skip-warning-on-confirm). So in stable Huggle builds this needs to be changed every time when you start Huggle. Petrb (talk) 20:05, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

- There's an option under System, Options, Warnings: Watch the talk page of a user who received a warning from you. However, disabling that option does not work. - Didn't know this doesn't work - the option in preferences actually prevents Huggle from explicitly requesting the page to be added to your watchlist. There are some additional watchlist preferences, by default Huggle doesn't override them, which means your on-wiki preferences are followed. Most of users automatically add pages they create to their watchlist (which is even talk page of IP user). Solution is either to disable this on wiki (in your preferences), or change the override in Huggle. If that doesn't work either, let me know and I will trace it down. Petrb (talk) 13:20, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
- The option I mean is "Add pages I create and files I upload to my watchlist" in Special:Preferences Petrb (talk) 13:21, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Petrb:, yes, I have all the watchlist addition options enabled in my preferences, because that is how I like it when I edit (or revert) "manually" (i.e. off-Huggle). That implies of course that Huggle will also add these entries, so I restore my watchlist immediatley (or some time) after the session. I keep my watchlist in a dropbox textfile, so I have access to multiple old versions and everwhere I go. I have semi-automated the process with two functions in Autohotkey. I can perfecly live with that, so there's no need to fix or change anything . - DVdm (talk) 13:49, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

- DVdm, I saw an option for "Preference for watchlist when editing or creating a page". I set it to "Do nothing". I don't quite understand your solution. I will try to see if it works. Interstellarity T 🌟 13:22, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

- @Interstellarity:, go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:EditWatchlist/raw and copy/paste into or from a textfile. But I see that you already found a satisfactory way to enforce your preference. - DVdm (talk) 13:49, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

problem in Huggle
Hi, I have place warning on user page using Huggle and there are 3 times the warnings were place on User talk:Monkbot (I was informed by User:Trappist the monk - see please stop) on June 2019 instead. I am not sure wheat is going on, maybe bug in Huggle. Please help and slove the issue. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:24, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, I don't see any recent edits on User talk:Monkbot made by any Huggle. Petrb (talk) 13:39, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- Now I found it. First thing to do - upgrade your Huggle. You are using version 3.4.4, latest version is 3.4.9, there were tens of bugs fixed meanwhile. Petrb (talk) 13:43, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- Petrb Thank you for your quick reply. Do I have to reinstall it or is there a upgrade link for the upgrade (pls provide link if there is). thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:56, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Possible issues with Huggle? Or the API?
Hi everyone! I'm currently experiencing an issue with about 40% of the edits in my queue. Huggle fails to retrieve the edit history of the user who made the change, and no user info is populated into the user info UI portion of Huggle. Furthermore, Huggle fails to roll back any edits that fail to retrieve the user's history if I try to do so.
Here's what the log looks like when such an edit is looked at:
- Mon Jul 1 04:19:08 2019 Unable to retrieve data from wiki feed, last error: Query result doesn't contain any data
- Mon Jul 1 04:19:04 2019 ERROR: Unable to retrieve history for user: Dan_22212
- Mon Jul 1 04:19:04 2019 ERROR: Unable to retrieve history
Huggle appears to interpret the API results as having no data whatsoever. These errors are popping up like crazy in my Huggle system logs. Is this an issue with Huggle, or maybe the API? Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I'll paste my system logs below so they can be looked at:

- This might be a problem with the API. It's suddenly starting to work a lot better now... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:32, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- I have Huggle launched on a VM (Windows 7 32-bit), and it seems to be working fine so far while the Huggle I'm running on my main computer is having these issues with retrieving data from the API... not sure what's going on... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:15, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- Works fine to me it looks like wikimedia servers had some kind of outage. Petrb (talk) 21:31, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- Petrb - Thanks for responding and for looking into what's going on. I'm still having this issue now (this is a Windows 10 x64 machine), but what's strange is that I ran Huggle on my MacBook Pro in a Windows 7 virtual machine and it works just fine. Is there maybe a library or distributable that I may be missing (Like a Microsoft language or other distributable)? It's strange, because I don't believe I've had this issue in the past when using Huggle on this PC. The only thing that's changed has been going from using an Ethernet connection to a WiFi connection, but my laptop (Windows 7 on a VM with MacOS) is also on WiFi, so... I'm not sure what the connection or cause may be. Do you have any thoughts? Are there any specific logs that I should collect and provide to you other than the system logs list that's displayed live on the Huggle UI? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:47, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- Petrb - Wow, so I launched Huggle just now, and I couldn't login because it couldn't even parse the global config ("query contained no data" error). Closing and re-launching Huggle resolved that error. It seems to work fine for the first minute, then it just can't parse any queries. More logs:

- Petrb - The only software I have that might interfere with Huggle is Deep Freeze; no antivirus or firewall enabled on the Windows 10 PC. I'll try booting with Deep Freeze turned off, update, and see what happens... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:46, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- Petrb - After taking some time to troubleshoot the issue, I believe that the problem is being caused by my network card. I bought a new WiFi card last week, and I'm getting issues with Huggle as noted above. As soon as I disable it, use my phone as a tether, and connect to the same network - the issue no longer occurs. I'm going to RMA it as defective (I'm quite convinced that it's dropping packets), and I think we can call this matter closed. I appreciate your input and assistance. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:21, 4 July 2019 (UTC)

Article cleanup?
Greetings and felicitations. I don't suppose we can clean up the article in order to comply with MOS:HEADINGS? Currently it's almost all subsections. —DocWatson42 (talk) 08:49, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
- DocWatson42, I'm not sure you have the correct place. This isn't an article. This is the help page for an anti-vandalism program. I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 20:21, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
- @I dream of horses: So the page should have subsections, not sections? Level 3 headings, not level 2? —DocWatson42 (talk) 05:06, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
- DocWatson42, oh, I think I know what you're talking about. I think the MOS mostly applies to articles, but I wouldn't care one way or the other if WP:HG complied with MOS. I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 05:27, 20 July 2019 (UTC)

Language
Huggle stopped using English in its labels and prompts on my laptop with Win10-64. I've been moving things around on the system, and I may have done something to cause this. I completely uninstalled Huggle, including removing the installation directory tree, and reinstalled from a fresh download; this did not fix the problem. What next? Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 15:16, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
There's an illustration of the Huggle login popup a couple of sections prior to this one. Currently, mine says, for example, Hesla pro bota instead of Bot password and Uživatelské Jméno instead of Username. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 17:51, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- That looks like you have picked Czech (Cestina) as your language, just change it back to English in login form. Petrb (talk) 14:12, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. That got it talking to me in English. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 17:52, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
Not Warning?
I've run into a somewhat minor, somewhat major problem with Huggle. Whenever I revert a user using the button that reverts and warns, it works as intended. But if I revert the user a second time not long after, it doesn’t warn them, even if I use the warn button. (It happened as I reverted an IP on Kirsten Gillibrand, I had to use Twinkle to put up a 4im vandalism warning. James-the-Charizard (talk) 18:26, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, check logs please this is probably an intended feature which can be disabled in preferences. Just uncheck everything under "confirming" section. Petrb (talk) 07:56, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Petrb: Will try when I can. Thanks! James-the-Charizard (talk) 19:34, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
Older than 1 day
I'm getting really sick of Huggle refusing to send warnings after reverts because it thinks the edit was over 1 day old, even if the edit clearly wasn't. This has happened several to me just now, and most of the reverted edits were just minutes (sometimes just seconds!) old. Has anyone else encountered this? It seems to be a serious bug. Unable to Log In
Hi! I want to try this out (for several reason) but when I try to log in with the bot password it complained that I didn't have Rollback permissions. So I got Rollback permissions. And it's still saying I can't log in because I don't have Rollback permissions. Any suggestions? --Jorm (talk) 17:03, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Jorm: in Special:BotPasswords be sure to enable "Rollback changes to pages". — xaosflux Talk 17:11, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: to the surprise of no one, I am an idiot, and that was the problem. Thank you! I thought I had added it back but I guess I hadn't.--Jorm (talk) 17:16, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Jorm: glad to hear you are working now! For anyone who finds this later a concept to keep in mind with "BotPasswords" - the "access' in bot passwords isn't really "access" it is a "filter", and by default it filters of your already existing access from being usable. For example, adding an allowance in botpasswords for "rollback changes to pages" won't do anything if your account doesn't actually have access to the rollback permission. Hope that helps! — xaosflux Talk 17:19, 8 August 2019 (UTC)

Huggle 3 WrongTokeen
I'd like to use the new Huggle 3 but it kept saying "ERROR: api.php responded with unknown result: WrongToken". I am using 2-factor signin so I use a bot password. Neither the UserName + BotName@<toknen> nor the UserName@BotName + <token> combination allows me to signin. It keeps saying "WrongToken", did I do something wrong? There are times where I've had to take a break from Wikipedia for personal reasons, and I came back to find that my bot password was no longer working. Creating a new one resolved it for me. I might be wrong, but if one doesn't authenticate using the bot credentials they created and use it for some time, I believe that it becomes stale and locked from use for security purposes, which forces you to create a new one if you find that it's no longer functioning... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:19, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

- Reinstall Huggle, and make sure that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 redistributable is installed onto your machine as well. You can download it from here. I believe that it's bundle with the Huggle installer, but you can use that link to download the redistributable package by itself. Make sure that your SSL libraries are still installed as well. You can go here to download an installer that will put those onto your machine and add it to your system's environment as a target. Let me know if this fixes the issue. Problem in log in
Hey I downloaded Huggle but while logging in it says that login failed (on enwiki). Authentication requires user interaction which is not supported by the action login. Can anyone please tell me what to do?Andrew Base (talk) 06:42, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Andrew Base:Hi greetings, which way was used to login in huggle- Bot password or legacy? If you are using your normal account and password for login, you can use legacy. But if you have a bot password (please see Wikipedia:Huggle/Privacy), you can use botpassword login. You may have tried to log in using the normal password on the botpassword login.--PATH SLOPU 08:57, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Path slopu: I used the legacy option but still it says login failed.Andrew Base (talk) 09:07, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- Andrew Base - Try creating a new bot password and using that one to log in. If I haven't used a bot password for some time, it stops working when I use it to log in and creating a new one resolves the issue. This might be a security measure that's done purposefully... Let me know if this resolves your issue. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:36, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

Huggle crashes when trying to view RevDel'ed edit
If you click on an edit revision that was deleted inside the Huggle network chat, Huggle will proceed to crash trying to open it. –Ανδρέας talk | contributions 21:37, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Huggle not saving config on exit
Hello.
When I change my configuration, the changes work fine before exiting. For example, today I changed my configuration to not display edits with an ORES score lower than 200. So then I quit out of Huggle then relaunch it, and boom, my queue is abnormally packed and -100 edits are popping up left and right. Why is this happening? | abequinnfourteen 21:41, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Toolbar is not appearing
Hello on my pc in huggle the main toolbar is not appearing so I am reverting vandalism using the page option. Can someone help? Pinging Girth Summit as he has recently gave me some advice about huggle.Andrew Base (talk) 09:32, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Andrew Base, hi - do you mean the toolbar with the arrow buttons and the 'revert and warn user' options etc? It's possible to move this by grabbing the row of little dots at one end of it, and to put it in a different part of the screen - are you sure you haven't just moved it somewhere else? It's also possible to remove it entirely - if you've done this, you need to right-click where it says 'Tools', and reenable to toolbar. GirthSummit (blether) 09:42, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Girth Summit, I think I've removed it. I will try to re-enable the tool when I'm back home. Andrew Base (talk) 09:46, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
A quite simple trouble that I can't solve
Hi, users. Well, acting on the ptwiki, I acidentally closed the newest editions windows... and, fairly, I don't know how to undo it. Obviously, it must be pretty easy, but, considering that I've checked all the shortcuts about Huggle and none of them help me, I was required to ask for instructions. Thanks. Creditor Editor (talk) 11:36, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
- Not anymore necessary. [SOLVED.] Creditor Editor (talk) 15:07, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
Huggle date
Hello, the Huggle date is wrong - today is September, not October. Regards --Serols (talk) 14:41, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

problem
Oshwah and I resolved this, but I am having the same issues again, Huggle can't display the proper images and is frozen and won't respond
--Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:22, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Have you tried hitting “load”? I’ve had this issue where keyboard shortcuts won’t respond but hitting “load” reloads it entirely and goes back to normal. Hope this helps a little for now, assuming you don’t mean the entire application crashes. TheEpTic (talk) 12:33, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
"talk page edited too recently" when it was last edited 15 minutes ago
Pretty frequently, I've had issues with Huggle refusing to warn a user because their "talk page was edited too recently", but when I check the talk page, the last comment was far over the two-minute (from my quick read of the source) threshold. For instance, my level 3 and 4 warnings on User talk:86.176.36.102 both only happened after I told Huggle to ignore the "talk page was edited too recently" warning, despite being 10-15 minutes apart. Any idea how I could go about troubleshooting this? Gaelan 💬✏️ 20:37, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
- I just discovered that my Wikipedia time zone setting hadn't been updated to reflect DST—maybe that was the issue? Gaelan 💬✏️ 21:00, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
- Probably. --Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 21:04, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thegooduser, nope. Huggle just warned me before my L2 warning on User_talk:101.118.27.179, despite a gap of nearly 30 minutes. Gaelan 💬✏️ 03:21, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Probably. --Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 21:04, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
I too have been experiencing this issue. It doesn't make much sense, since Huggle should be able to figure out time zone differences if it's using your computer's clock as reference. Huggle has not had this issue previously either, so I'm not sure why it's been practically refusing to warn users. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:00, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- K6ka, I think I found the bug. I'll send a PR in shortly. Gaelan 💬✏️ 19:23, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Glad to hear the bug might be found! Looking forward to the patch, I too am having this issue right now. Thanks <3 TheEpTic (talk) 18:56, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
Warning user
When I revert a user and the user has already been warned by clicking the revert and warn button, Huggle does not warn the user again. Any help? Interstellarity (talk) 22:54, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
- Answering this question requires diffs or a specific page to look at. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:40, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
- @ToBeFree (mobile): Here's an example: First, I click the revert and warn button on Huggle, this edit is reverted, the user is warned. Second, I click the revert and warn button again (I am sure I clicked the revert and warn button not the revert button.), this edit is reverted, but the user is not warned a level 2 warning. - Ah. Interstellarity, could you try disabling "Don't ask for any confirmation" in your Huggle options, "Warnings" tab? Alternatively, the configuration can be changed like in Special:Diff/927329446. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:10, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Huggle needs to make it more clear that pressing "good edit" will welcome an editor
Hello! I just got rollback permissions so I started using Huggle. I was using "G" to mark an edit as good when nothing was wrong with it. I decided to check my edit history later to make sure I didn't make any mistakes, and I noticed I had made over 50 edits! I had apparently been welcoming every editor whose edits I had marked as good. Obviously, a part of this is my fault; I should've double-checked the documentation on that button beforehand, but it seemed like it would just skip over that edit, so I didn't even check. TheAwesomeHwyh 16:56, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- Hi TheAwesomeHwyh, now I remember I wanted to look this up on my desktop computer and reply to you. Thank you very much for the feedback. In the Huggle preferences, there is an option for this, "Send a welcome message to users who have empty talk pages on good edits". In the "Page" menu, not the options, there is another option to automatically send a "Thanks" notification to registered users for good edits. You may like to use these two options to configure the behavior of the "good edit" key. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:48, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
Problem opening Huggle
So it's admittedly been a while since I've used Huggle, but I just now tried to open it. It successfully (as far as I can tell) signed in via the bot password method. Then it closed a few seconds after the main window opened without anything entering the queue. I made sure I was up-to-date. I couldn't find a log or anything in Huggle's program files, but Windows Event Viewer recorded the error, so I've included the details from that below. The title of the collapsed text, in order, is the "Level" (of the error), Date and Time, Source, Event ID, and "(Task Category)".

I've removed a couple bits of personal info. They were just the name of the computer and my real name. Also, sorry for all the XML stuff. That's just the way it copied. — Gestrid (talk) 05:27, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- I usually just delete huggle and all it's files and reinstall whenever I face an issue... Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 04:09, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Dark Theme
Can there be a dark theme for huggle? --Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 22:56, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
Queue doesn't load sometimes
The server that STiki is hosted on went down and the tool officially broke today. Since the only other good tool is Huggle, I'll be switching to here. However I've found that the program is really buggy and the interface is really confusing. The last time I used Huggle regularly (Jan 2016) the program was much easier to navigate and the edit queue was clear. With the latest version sometimes no edits pop up in the queue and I'm stuck with an empty screen. Hitting the load button opens the same page every single time. Non mobile-friendly diffs
Feature request: when mobile users click on "this edit" links in templates such as Template:Huggle/warn-1, it will show the diff on the desktop website. To maximize ease of use, the diff should adapt to the user's platform. When on mobile, I find the mobile diff interface easier to read that the desktop one. Huggle
When I use huggle and press good edit it sends a welcome message to the Ip or new edtior that edited the page. How do you make it so it does not do this. Thanks. --The4lines (talk) 02:42, 23 February 2020 (UTC)The4lines
- @The4lines: seems like you're not the only one to ask. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 05:34, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Rotideypoc41352: Hmm, thanks yeah I done A butt ton of edits just with welcoming which is bit annoying. Thanks again! The4lines (talk) 05:40, 23 February 2020 (UTC)The4lines
Diffs on AIV reporting window
For some reason, the diffs fail to load whilst attempting to report users to AIV. Any ideas why? lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 02:33, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
