Hi Wikipedia reviewers. I have just re-submitted my article Hunt Monitors. I have taken on board your comments and have deleted text and rewritten text and done my best to keep it as factual as possible. Thanks for your help.
{{SAFESUBST:Void|
I would like to know if I have followed the correct proceedure as I have not heard anything from Wiki since I re-submitted by article Hunt Monitors on 12 August. Tim Trent/Fiddle Faddle messaged to say that my article now stood a chance and was much tighter. I can not find a copy of this message on his archive so unable to see what else he said to me.
I can be patient and wait if you have a backlog but would you tell me if there is anything that I should be doing or is there anything that I have missed?
Thank you very much
Judy Gilbert

In reply to @Zinfandelorganic: The term "hunt monitors" perhaps more accurately called "anti-hunt saboteurs" appears to be a neologism. I can see the media and the animal rights groups themselves use the term. I'm not sure there's coverage enough to write an encyclopedic entry about it. Further, your draft is horribly slanted in favor of this activity. I think rather than opining about hunting being wrong, you would do well to discuss emergence of the term itself and the activity it describes. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:41, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Chris Troutman, you are simply wrong. Hunt Monitors are very different from "anti-hunt saboteurs" as you would have ascertained if you had read the submission properly. It is not only animal rights groups and the media who recognise Hunt Monitors, it is members of the UK Parliament and Crown Prosecution Service and have done so for decades. There is plenty of data to write an encyclopedic entry, in fact there has recently been published an independent report commisioned by the RSPCA which also referrs to hunt monitors http://www.rspca.org.uk/webContent/staticImages/Downloads/WoolerReviewFinalSept2014.pdf which I will add to my submission for review. The fact is, hunting with dogs has been illegal in the uk for ten years, so it is academic whether or not one agrees with hunting. If hunt monitors discovered that hunts were complying with the law, they would report it in the same way as they do when they believe the hunting to be illegal. I dont understand your last comment Chris as I believe I have described how and why Hunt Monitors emerged and the activity they undertake. PS I also note that the actual hunt saboteurs have their own article published on Wikipedia. Zinfandelorganic (talk) 18:35, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Hunt Monitors
[edit]Hello, Zinfandelorganic. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Hunt Monitors".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Hunt Monitors}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 18:50, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

- The history of this is complicated, but it seems that although your draft Draft:Hunt Monitors was declined in October 2014, what was basically the same material was copied into the main encyclopedia space by another user, Slatsdupe in May 2015 and developed there. It has now been deleted because Slatsdupe has been identified as a member of a group of undisclosed paid editors/scammers (see WP:Long-term abuse/Orangemoody) whose operations were so extensive that mass deletion was decided on as the only feasible approach.
- I will ping the deleting administrator Timotheus Canens for advice, but my suggestion would be that you work on the existing draft version to address the comments made when it was declined, and then resubmit it by clicking the green "Submit" button. (If you simply resubmit it, it will be declined again). That way there will be a properly reviewed article untainted by Orangemoody. JohnCD (talk) 09:07, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
Hunt Monitors article
[edit]I have not forgotten your request for a copy of the modified article that was deleted, but it is not an easy matter - the whole issue of the "Orangemoody" paid-editing group is extremely sensitive at the moment.
Taking over a declined draft like yours is typical of their method. Did you get any request for money in return for posting the article, and/or any suggestion that for a regular payment they could protect it from deletion?
Please reply below here - I will watch this talk page. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 22:20, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, I received a message that said they were able to edit my article to make it acceptable for posting and they would put it up on Wiki. When I said thanks and ok they then asked for money which I agreed to pay. Would have to go into PayPal to see how much as I cant remember but it was not a large amount. After the article was posted, when I was both pleased and surprised I sent the money. I have had no further communication.
- I would not have agreed to a regular payment, I merely thought I was paying for someone to edit my article to make it acceptable as I did not know how to make my article any less contentious (in the subjective views of Chris Troutman who was the last person to reject my article). His/her comments and my reply seemed to have also been removed.
- Im am sorry if I have contributed to problems you are having at Wiki. I supose I should have known better and that it was too good to be true.
- Regards, Judy

- It's usual to make these talk-page conversations clearer by indenting successive contributions by adding colon characters to the front of each paragraph, as I have done here.
- Don't worry, you were far from being the only one; and you are better off than one victim of an earlier one of these paid-editing scams, who paid $1,500 to have an article about himself. It was posted three times, and deleted each time, including two embarrassing public deletion discussions about whether he was notable.
- In regard to your other question, I will email you tomorrow. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:50, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Fiddle Faddle 15:07, 22 September 2015 (UTC)- As you will remember, I have been a stern critic of this as a draft. I can tell you that you have met all my criticisms and so I have accepted it. Now, it may not survive, but it stands a damned good chance. I only promote drafts that have a better than 60% chance in my view of surviving a deletion discussion.
