Why Remove ThinkSalmon

[edit]

Why did you remove the link to ThinkSalmon from the Salmon article? It's a deep, broad and active online resource, with original salmon-related news and information. nep 07:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC) Nevermind; you actually saved the link, sorry. nep 07:46, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Danny Phantom discussion

[edit]

Hello. You recently participated in a discussion on the possible deletion or merger of some Danny Phantom characters. While all the articles were kept, I noted that many of those commenting on the debate suggested merging some characters into a main list. Seeing this, I've compiled a list of some of the minor characters who may not need their own article, and would like the opinions of those who weighed in originally. You can participate in the discussion here. Ral315 (talk) 18:27, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page. Much appreciated. --Cdogsimmons 19:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your support in my RfA. Unfortunately consensus was not reached, and the nomination was not successful. However, I do appreciate your comments, am still in support of the Wikipedia project, and will continue to contribute without interruption. Thanks again! --Elonka 19:11, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

At Articles for Deletion, you thought the article Eduardo Reck Miranda worth keeping. I spent some time on it and it still could use a bit cleaning up. Given how Miranda was attacked and continually hurt by this attack being left on Wikipedia, would you mind spending a little time on Eduardo Reck Miranda to improve it somewhat? Thanks.-- Jreferee 19:13, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal tags

[edit]

Thank you for reverting vandalism on Wikipedia!

Be sure to put warning tags on the vandal's user talk page (such as {{subst:test}}, {{subst:test2}}, {{subst:test3}}, {{subst:test4}}). Add each of these tags on the vandal's talk page, in sequential order, after each instance of vandalism. Adding warnings to the talk page assists administrators in determining whether or not the user should be blocked. If the user continues to vandalize pages after you add the {{subst:test4}} tag, request administrator assistance at Request for Intervention. Again, thank you for helping to make Wikipedia better. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 23:02, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A question

[edit]

I have noticed the following things about you:

  • you are unfailingly polite
  • you are pretty active on the project
  • you have been editing for around two years
  • you do a lot of vandalism reversion

All this adds up, in my book, to a prime candidate for the Wikimop. Have you ever considered this? I would offer to nominate you, but since my nominations of Jeff (User:Badlydrawnjeff) and Stephen (User:Stephen B Streater) both failed, that might be considered the kiss of death :-) Guy (Help!) 15:11, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it would be a honor to help wikipedia more so if there is support for this you can count on me with the wikimop as well Yuckfoo 00:19, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stupid newbie question alert...

[edit]

This may be a really stupid question (I'm still new around here...), but how do you revert an edit made by someone? I've seen a lot of vandalism, but I can't edit it because I don't know what you're supposed to do. Apologies for the dumb question...FamicomJL 03:52, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

that is ok just click on history tab and select the edit before the vandalism was made and then choose edit this page and next save changes you can also choose two edits to compare versions just to make sure Yuckfoo 00:23, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have left the following comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thames Valley College. Can you please respond accordingly. Thanks -- u:Chazz/contact/t: 18:39, 8 December 2006 (UTC) Sorry, but you are mistaken. Maybe the comment at the top of the page was a bit too ambiguous, I have therefore changed it. The original article was moved to Thames Valley College (London, Ontario, Canada), by TruthbringerToronto and that has created confusion. Village School Charlottesville Virginia AfD

[edit]

Can you please explain your decision on the Village School Charlottesville Virginia AfD? The provided evidence shows that the sources aren't verifable, since two of them are done from the school's or school's associate website, and the remaining is from a school directory. Also note that the debate is whether the article conforms our notability guidelines, so the writing is irrelevant. Thank you. Michaelas10 (Talk) 13:24, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, I've redone the Goetz school article on my user pages and made some other comments at the bottom of the deletion-review discussion. I'm asking editors to comment on the changes I've made because they represent a new development, one I think we can form a pretty wide consensus around. I think the article as I've redone it meets the objections of many editors, and it certainly meets WP:V. Please take a look, but I think this deletion review will close today or early tomorrow, so please don't delay, act now and take advantage of this limited-time offer! Survey on quality control policies

[edit]

As part of a project funded by the European Commission (QLectives), we are collecting and analysing data to study quality control mechanisms and inclusion/deletion policies in Wikipedia. According to our records, you participated in a large number of AfD. We are currently soliciting editors with a long record of participation in AfD discussions to send us their feedback via a very informal survey.

The survey takes less than 5 minutes and is available at this URL. Should you have any questions about this project, feel free to get in touch.

Thanks for your help! --DarTar (talk) 10:43, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Jumping jack mccracken.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jumping jack mccracken.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 10:12, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
