Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Yara Jenkins. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Laquinton Jarrell Harper, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Laquinton Jarrell Harper (January 23)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was: This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: "One of the world's most influential people", "cult like social following", painting valued at $448m, etc. – really? I'll assume this is a joke or a hoax of some sort.

In any case, the sources are utterly useless, and given the multiple earlier declines, I can only assume that better ones are not forthcoming, therefore I am now rejecting this draft to avoid further reviewer time being expended on it.

DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:38, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Draft:Laquinton Jarrell Harper, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Earofemo moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Earofemo. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 03:11, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: EAROFEMO (July 15)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Qcne was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.
Qcne (talk) 11:35, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:EAROFEMO, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello! Yara Jenkins, you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us! Liz Read! Talk! 02:49, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Yara Jenkins,
Your articles uses unreliable sources like a blog or Medium that look like paid promotional writing. And some of the claims, that this subject had sold hundreds of millions of artwork and was signed to a major label were patently false. I checked their social media accounts and they have 0 followers so the claims of influence and famous friends is clearly off-of-the-mark, too. You have tried over and over again to write an article on this subject and have been unsuccessful so I encourage you to spend your time and effort learning more about Wikipedia's standards for notability and sourcing and work on improving other articles instead of trying to promote this "artist". I can only guess that you are the article subject or are a close friend even though you have never replied to the posts of having a conflict-of-interest. Until this artist actually has some success, there will not be an article on them on this platform. If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Liz Read! Looking over these articles, I see claims that he was born in 1997, 2000 and 2003. If you can't be honest about something simple like his age, then it's hard to take even bigger claims seriously. Liz Read! Talk! 03:08, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
