Disambiguation link notification for October 19
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Early Winter, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New wave (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 23:47, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject Banners
Hello WonderBoy1998! I hope things are going well with your edits as you do a great job contributing to articles. Anyways, I wanted to bring your attention to this edit you made months ago. Even though the edit was in good faith, the article was within the scope of WP:Latin music because of the Spanish version "Lo Hecho Esta Hecho". Be careful when removing WikiProject Banners from the talk page if an article falls within scope of a WikiProject as they reserve the right to define it (see WP:PROJGUIDE#OWN). I'm only saying this because edit wars have occurred over WikiProject inclusions. So basically, we allow Shakira's Spanish songs and Spanish versions of her songs in the WikiProject while the ones only recorded in English are not included. If you're unsure, just check read the scope of the WikiProject. Hope that helps. Erick (talk) 04:53, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

RE: Problems with Shakira singles chronology
Hi WonderBoy1998, first of all I want to say that your sandbox for Laundry Service is looking fantastic! What wonderful work you've done already! Regarding the singles, I would leave the first three singles as-is like you're already planning. As for the last three, I would follow the sources you've gathered and label "The One" as the final single. When I was working on some Pies Descalzos articles, I realized that Wikipedia had listed some very incorrect and unsourced release dates for the album and its songs (sometimes by a whole year!). I wouldn't worry too much about what the existing article says about the release dates of the singles, because you have credible sources to prove your changes. (I also seem to remember promotion for "Te Dejo Madrid" coming before "The One" anyway, but I could be mistaken.) Let me know if there's anything else I can help out with! GAN December 2013 Backlog Drive
Hello! A GAN Backlog Drive will begin in less than 4 days! In past Backlog Drives, the goal was to reduce the backlog of Good article nominations. In the upcoming drive, another goal will be added - raising as much money as we can for the Wikimedia Foundation. How will this work? Well, its pretty simple. Any user interested in donating can submit a pledge at the Backlog Drive page (linked above). The pledge should mention the amount of money the user is willing to donate per review. For example, if a user pledges 5 cents per review and 100 nominations are reviewed, the total donation amount is $5.00. At the time this message was sent out, two users have submitted pledges for a total of 8 cents per review. All pledges, no matter how much money, are greatly appreciated. Also, in no way is this saying you must make a pledge. |

- No problem! Just don't forget the European Top 100 year-end charts as well (I'm surprised it was the best-selling album of the year in that region). I have a little favor to ask. Could you do a critique of I Need to Know (Marc Anthony song) on the talk page? I've never done an article about a song that reached international success before. It doesn't be for GAR or anything like that, just even suggestions would suffice. You don't have to do it if you don't want to. Erick (talk) 04:40, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the review! I knew it'd be worth asking someone who has experience on working on international songs! 18:11, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
