Copa del Rey
[edit]Ok, I asked for this discussion to take place on the talk page of the article, not here, thanks. If this edit war continues I will have no choice but to protect the page from editing until the issue is resolved. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Mediation
[edit]Please see my comments at Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2008-05-08 Copa del Rey and then head over to Talk:Copa del Rey and indicate if you are happy with both the a) and the b) I posted there. Thanks. --Dweller (talk) 12:30, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Erm, I thought you wanted help to sort this out? --Dweller (talk) 14:04, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Message
[edit]I am leaving the same message in all parties talk pages.
Please read my requests carefully and stick to them. If we're going to have a successful mediation, it is important to do this a stage at a time and not to argue amongst ourselves while the dispute is still fresh and far from resolved.
All I have asked for now is for comments on the proposed paragraph. Please make them in your own area. Thanks. --Dweller (talk) 22:48, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]Sorry, but i don't agree, cause it would be confusing and erroneus as i have said in previous discussions. For me the best option, if puting the simple '23' its not possible, is like it appears right now, 23 with an asterisk showing the note with the information of Bilbao claiming to have one more. Another question of that proposal would be if in Vizcaya line it will show 1/0 :D. Greets. Wikizin (talk) 21:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi Wikizin. I'm posting here to ensure we keep things as calm as possible. First, I want to be clear that I have no problems with you expressing unease with my proposal. Things have gone really well so far and I thank you for fantastic co-operation.
OK, let's take these things one at a time. And maybe in reverse order ;-)
- I don't think anyone doubts or disputes that Vizcaya won the cup, so we don't need a zero alongside them. However a note that they are now merged to Atheltic Bilbao wouldn't go amiss. (Same for any other defunct or merged clubs on the list)
- Putting either 23 or 24 with an asterisk would mean Wikipedia has "taken sides" in the argument. This is bad - it would definitely contravene WP:NPOV. We can't go for 23* for the same reason we can't go for 24*.
As you know, I have no real interest in pushing either side of this dispute. Having read what I write above, do you still feel that you cannot possibly agree to "23 / 24*"?
NB I may not be able to reply to your answer for some days, as I'm taking a loooong weekend. --Dweller (talk) 12:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Don't take this like i was a true stubborn, but if '23/24' appears, some people would think that Bilbao have 24 cups, and that's erroneus, that's why i didn't support that proposal in the first time. Examples of this is that in Italian football champions table, Juventus have 27 scudettos, and not 28, or Floyd Landis didn't appear in Tour de France winners, because the organization didn't recognized their titles. In these articles and in this one, a note or an asterisk is the best option, and that is what i support.
- In any case, cause i suppose that the other part would not accept any resolution that don't include the 24 in the table (I think that he could be changing it for the rest of the days), i suggest another solution: 23 (24*), maybe with the 23 in bold (and so the rest of cup wins of the rest of the teams). That would clarify a neutral reader the real number of cups that Bilbao have -23-, the exception of the other part of the dispute claims -that his team have one more win-, and let you maintain the NPOV.
- I saw it comming, i was the part that have to hand over... :D --Wikizin (talk) 14:33, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Hmm. I'm not necessarily averse to 23 (24*). Not sure about the bolding. Anyway, let me discuss it with Deibid. --Dweller (talk) 15:34, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please Wikizin, the word "real" is not very realistic in this case. Because the cup can be viewed, and is quite "real", in San Mamés. Other thing is "official", but don't continue to mess with reality. I agree with 23 (24*), it's ok. Of course, not bolded, because no other numbers are bolded in the table and bold is not the style of preference for contents of a table in Wikipedia. David (talk) 10:21, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Copa article
[edit]Do you have any outstanding problems with this article? --Dweller (talk) 13:26, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think you've got an agreed wording you can apply there too, yes. Good luck, my job seems to be done! --Dweller (talk) 19:52, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
David (talk) 11:46, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Man, truly, the number of cups of Bilbao seems the smallest of your problems. The approbation of the admin is in the second paragraph of this section. Greetings and good luck. Wikizin (talk) 13:52, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Template:CB Gran Canaria
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:CB Gran Canaria requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Proposed deletion of 2008-2009 ACB season
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 2008-2009 ACB season, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Non notable basketball league wikipedia is not a place a website to keep information like this on here
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 3 revert rule and edit warring
[edit]You have broken the 3RRR Wikipedia site rule. In doing so you also seemed intent to send me a message claiming I was "vandalizing" and that I should be reported to admin. I have done nothing wrong, I am simply making honest edits and updates, including ones that are sourced and can be verified. To which you seem to have a personal issue with. You also seem to be trying to instigate some kind of argument or dispute through your edit summaries. Please do not do that if at all possible. So please kindly in the future follow site guidelines like the 3RRR and do not send messages accusing me falsely of "vandalism". I would really appreciate that if it is possible. Thank you for your help in editing the site.Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 21:47, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Rosters and depth charts
[edit]It's very simple. If you cannot keep them updated then they are not "current" and should be either not called "current" or should be removed. You list non current rosters and call them "current" - that is incorrect. No need for that to be called "current" when it is not. Especially depth charts.
Also, on this "official" thing - you bring up Hermann as not being official and yet the very team already announced him. You say there is 10 days until it is official that he is with them. No sir, you are simply wrong. It already is official and there are 10 days until he might go to another team, not 10 days until he is on their roster. It means he is with Caja Laboral and will be for the next 10 days and could possibly not be after that. So in fact I am right to have him on the team in current time and you sir are in fact wrong to not have him on it. So again please stop saying I am "vandalizing" simply for making proper and updated edits. Currently, he is in fact with that team and will be for the next 10 days for sure. So please stop making "vandalism" accusations over simple true facts. And please remember to follow the 3RRR policy. So just continue to contribute to the site without some of the other stuff. Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 22:43, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Depth charts and rosters
[edit]Notice how every single change edit I made to depth charts and rosters is true and 100% correct? I hope very STRONGLY in the future that you stop reverting edits that I make and don't send any more personal messages insulting me and falsely accusing me of things over it. As you can clearly see, I made only absolutely correct and true edits and was entirely helping the site. Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 09:09, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of Spanish football transfers summer 2013. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of Spanish football transfers summer 2013 – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Please, do not include transfers that aren't official. We have to trust only in reliable sources. For an example: Nolito didn't sign for City, Pelegrín only signed for Elche today and so on. In the latter case, he rescinded his contract today, according to Alavés' official website, and signed for Elche also today. Please be aware that Marca, Mundo Deportivo, AS, Sport and those genres of newspapers are considered some kind of "tabloid" when it comes to transfers, that's why we need to wait for an official confirmation. Take the English football here as a baseline.
Thank you. MYS77 ✉ 00:39, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- Please take this edit as a parameter. See that all sources that I've included are official? That's how a transfer should be confirmed. Cheers, MYS77 ✉ 00:53, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I have noted that you reverted my edits on List of Spanish football transfers summer 2017, I already introduced a proposal to change the format and it was approved at WT:FOOTY, I kindly suggest you to change it back the way it was. Thanks, TheSoccerBoy (talk) 21:37, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Want evidence? click this link. TheSoccerBoy (talk) 21:41, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Sorry, I restore the format before reading this. If it's approved (but two or three editors saying so, I don't see any 'official') you must have to introduce it in English and German and French summer transfers page, right? Greets! Wikizin (talk) 13:05, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Not really, since it was approved for the Spanish league only, doesn't necessarily have to change for all leagues, take the English transfers as an example TheSoccerBoy (talk) 17:10, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Removing International NBA Draft Candidates
[edit]Hey, I saw your latest edit in the 2017 NBA Draft article. However, you didn't provide a link in the description showing the proof of those particular entries being removed. Mind showing me the link where you got that information from? – AGreatPhoenixSunsFan (talk) 15:32, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
Uniform numbers
[edit]They don't need to be sourced, but they have to be right and are incorrectly placed for new team members all the time on Wikipedia, so if I can't find it (and I looked on the club site) then I remove it until it is clearly correct. A best practice is to copy and paste the source as an edit summary when you add a uniform number. Rikster2 (talk) 18:48, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

Results
[edit]Hey, please use the correct dash (–) when adding scores. Kante4 (talk) 20:00, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- Just a remined, please. Kante4 (talk) 16:55, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi Wikizin, FYI: In the Dutch league the ranking order is based on the following criteria:
- Most points
- Less loss points (or same amount of points in less matches)
- goal difference
- ....
Therefore Sparta is ranked above Roda. Both teams have 11 points. The goal difference of Sparta (-20) is worse than the goal difference of Roda (-19). But since Sparta managed to get 11 points in less matches (16) than Roda (17) they are ranked higher. Or to put it formal, Sparta has 16 (number of matches) * 3 (possible number of points in a match) - 11 (points achieved) = 16*3-11 = 48-11 = 37 loss points. Roda has 17*3-11 = 51-11 = 40 loss points. The 2nd criteria is basically only relevant for a season in progress, when there can be a difference in the number of matches played. End of season, all teams always played the same number of marches, meaning if 2 teams have the same amount of points, they automatically have the same amount of loss points. --Sb008 (talk) 18:46, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- I explained you how the ranking works, and again you put Roda above Sparta. That is incorrect. Also on the results page, please use a "–" (en dash) and not a "-" (minus) in the score, so e.g. "3–1" and not "3-1". --Sb008 (talk) 01:08, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
Is it really ....
[edit].... so hard to use "en dashes" (–) instead of dashes (-) on results templates? --Sb008 (talk) 22:37, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- It seems to be to tough... Kante4 (talk) 09:37, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Why?
[edit]Why you keep updating the league results pages wrong over and over? You here to contribute or to give other people more work? You don't even have the decency to reply to messages. --Sb008 (talk) 19:45, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
2018 NBA draft article
[edit]If you are going to add underclassmen as they declare, please ensure you are linking to the correct person of this name. In the cases of Nick Ward and Corey Sanders, you did not check your work and linked to either a WP:DAB page or to another person entirely. I would suggest that when you link a player check the link before you save so that you know you have the right target article. Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 23:33, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- You added both Martin twins linking to the wrong articles. I see I asked you about this last year too. Seriously, if you can't be bothered to ensure you are linking to the correct article then just let others add players. I am going to start adding vandalism warnings with each future case since it is cleae that you are aware of the problem. Rikster2 (talk) 23:28, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- You are doing this again. This time with Keith Williams. Please be sure you are linking who you think you are. Rikster2 (talk) 18:28, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
La Liga rules for classification
[edit]Hi, while talking to Kante4, I recognise that we are using an unofficial source in La Liga template about classification. I would like to improve it by using an official link (specifically Articulo 201), but I need someone understands Spanish to explain it. Would you like to help me? Thanks :) Centaur271188 (talk) 16:30, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Dash
[edit]Here, take this dash "–" and update the results properly, thanks. Next time i will revert your changes. Kante4 (talk) 04:18, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Kante4: Sorry man for the late answer. Don't get mad, we're all partners and nobody is perfect. I get a lot of thanks from other users. Ok, I used that in Eredivise but probably not in Bundesliga and some other just because visually the template modificate it or something (or so I thought). Promise to pay attention to that next time. Apart from that anything else on my updates? --Wikizin 13:51, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
- Nothing. Just use the correct one please. Kante4 (talk) 15:08, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Grant Golden is not a basketball player. Again - please ensure you are linking the correct person on 2020 NBA draft. It will take you two seconds. Rikster2 (talk) 15:19, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
- Josh Hall is a DAB page. Please stop being careless Rikster2 (talk) 16:20, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

NBA early entry candidates
[edit]Since you have frequently updated the 2020 NBA draft article for entrants, you should check the NBA's official early entrant list and add new players or remove those not listed. Sportzeditz (talk) 15:30, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
