Article Feedback newsletter

Hey all!

So, big news this week - on Tuesday, we ramped up to 5 percent of articles :). There's been a lot more feedback (pardon the pun) as I'm sure you've noticed, and to try and help we've scheduled a large number of office hours sessions, including one this evening at 22:00 UTC in the #wikimedia-office connect channel, and another at 01:00 UTC for the aussies amongst us :). I hope to see some of you there - if any of you can't make it but have any questions, I'm always happy to help.

if a cricketer a not played all formats of international cricket,then you can include some domestic format record,but listn if a cricketer has played all 3(Test,ODIs/T20Is) formats,then only include internation cricket record

Hi! When you hav to post a message to someone else, open his/her talk page. There you will find the "edit" button. Beside it will be a "New section" button. Click on it and a new page will appear. There will be a "Subject/headline" column, where you have to write the section heading. Don't use == ==, it will be added automatically. Then you can write your message in the edit box. Also remember to leave a signature after the message using ~~~~. Once you are done, click on the "Save page" button. Hi Vibhijain! I just happened to run across your FBD template while I was looking through Yunshui's talk page, and I saw that it contained some broken code. Thanks for having a look at the article. :) An en dash is left where the statistic is not applicable. For example when a player has not batted, then the average stat is not applicable. As of the Inn and NO, I have followed some other FLs. As of the line, it is for sorting. For example, if one player' no. is 7, and one's is 11, then the one with 11 will come first. AFT5 newsletter

Hey again all :). So, some big news, some small news, some good news, some bad news!

On the "big news" front; we've now deployed AFT5 on to 10 percent of articles, This is pretty awesome :). On the "bad news", however, it looks like we're having to stop at 10 percent until around September - there are scaling issues that make it dangerous to deploy wider. Happily, our awesome features engineering team is looking into them as we speak, and I'm optimistic that the issues will be resolved.

For both "small" and "good" news; we've got another office hours session. This one is tomorrow, at 22:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office connect - I appreciate it's a bit late for Europeans, but I wanted to juggle it so US east coasters could attend if they wanted :). Hope to see you all there!

Guild of Copy Editors July 2012 backlog elimination drive wrap-up

Participation: Out of 45 people who signed up this drive, 31 have copy-edited at least one article. Lfstevens continues to carry most of the weight, having edited 360 articles and over a quarter of a million words already. Thanks to all who have participated! Final results, including barnstars awarded, will be available early in August here.

Progress report: We are once again very close to achieving in our primary goal—removing the oldest three months from the backlog. Only 35 such articles remain at press time. The total backlog currently sits at under 2400 articles, down from 8323 when we started out over two years ago. We are just two articles away from completing all requests made before July 2012 (both are in progress).
