A barnstar for you!

You're one of the core, valuable members of WikiProject IPL. A editor with such determination is hardly found. I understand what you're feeling, but my only advice was, and is, that stay away from controversial topics, especially the ones you were engaged in with Arbcom. I have opened a section in your honor at here. Please, we'll all be dead without you. Stop and think once what we'll be left to do with once you go away. I challenge your decision. Thanks all
Thanks to all those who supported me and helped in deciding about my retirement. I thought to think for 2-3 days and then decide, but reading all those messages I really felt that I was stupid. At last I have decided two things:Getting all my articles copy-edited before getting them to FLC or GAN, and the second is that I will be semi-active in controversial topics. That is the best way I can contribute to the encyclopedia. Thanks again for all your support. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 07:24, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Articles for Creation urgently needs YOUR help!
Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 1067 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.
If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.
We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 2 or 3 reviews, it would be extremely beneficial. |

I've done simple addition to all remaining lists in my subpages. By tonight, I'll finish adding lead to all of them and then will start the easy job of addition of players. Hopefully we can get it live by the end of the month. piwiki JavaScript
Hello Vibhijain, please notice, that I had to disable JavaScript added to piwiki by you, because it loaded content from 3rd party sites, was obfuscated and was causing errors. While JavaScript errors can often be fixed easily and obfuscation isn't forbidden by policy (although it's of course highly unwanted), loading content from sites not hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation (Microsoft in that case) is strictly forbidden by the foundation's privacy policy, so I urgently had to remove the code. Diffs: 1, 2. Cheers, Hoo man (talk) 18:18, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think this script had already been removed from hi.wiki. If I understand correctly it's an input method script and it must be replaced by the now available proper solution mw:Extension:Narayam, please let me know if you need more info to get this happen. Thanks, Nemo 21:13, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for the problem, and thanks for correcting. Just a question, can I use it as a personal script? ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 10:03, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Sure, if you add a comment, that including it will break the privacy policy and if you don't break any copyrights, you can still use them as a private script (no Gadget or anything directly usable by other users of course). If you don't own the rights of the scripts/ there aren't under an open license, please let me know, so that I can revdel the pages. In that case you can only use something like Greasmonkey to use the scripts without publishing them on wiki, Cheers Hoo man (talk) 18:58, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Then please delete my vector.js page at hi and sa wiki, I will in some other was to use that tool. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 08:49, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- Your JS pages on sa and hiwiki look ok (you only seem to include 3rd party content using mw.loader.load, but didn't publish it directly on wiki), but I've deleted pi:मीडियाविकि:Transli.js. I hope that's all, if not, please let me know or use the local deletion processes to get non-free content from Wikimedia hosted sites. Cheers, Hoo man (talk) 20:31, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- Anyway, Narayam is supposed to do this for you, if you have local consensus it can be enabled. Creating rules for input methods in Narayam is very easy, you only have to list the correspondences between each character and it willtake care of all the rest. If the language is already supported, enabling it is only matter of a request. Thanks, Nemo 07:40, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

QPQ requirements for DYK
Vibhijain, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you: you're behind in your QPQ reviews for DYK.
Since late 2011, you've been posting a list of reviews that you'd done: it started with 9, increased to 10 and then 11 (and once up to 12), but only 12 reviews have ever been listed. The way the quid pro quo system works, is that once you've taken your five review-free DYK nominations, you have to submit one new review for every nomination you make. By my count, you submitted 25 nominations between December 9, 2011, and August 9, 2011, all of which have had reviews completed. For all 25, you submitted this same list of reviews, which would have been used up twice over.
Furthermore, you used the same list of 11 for the six reviews that are currently in process. I've had to strike out the list of reviews from these six: you'll be expected to do six new QPQ reviews, one for each of them, before that one can be approved.
It may take a little longer to get your pending reviews approved, because of the time you'll need to do these reviews, but I doubt it will take you too many days. Best of luck! BlueMoonset (talk) 03:31, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

WikiCup 2012 August newsletter
The final is upon us! We are down to our final 8. A massive 573 was our lowest qualifying score; this is higher than the 150 points needed last year and the 430 needed in 2010. Even in 2009, when points were acquired for mainspace edit count in addition to audited content, 417 points secured a place. That leaves this year's WikiCup, by one measure at least, our most competitive ever. Our finalists, ordered by round 4 score, are:
- Grapple X (submissions) once again finishes the round in first place, leading Pool B. Grapple X writes articles about television, and especially The X-Files and Millenium, with good articles making up the bulk of the score.
- Miyagawa (submissions) led Pool A this round. Fourth-place finalist last year, Miyagawa writes on a variety of topics, and has reached the final primarily off the back of his massive number of did you knows.
- Ruby2010 (submissions) was second in Pool B. Ruby2010 writes primarily on television and film, and scores primarily from good articles.
- Casliber (submissions) finished third in Pool B. Casliber is something of a WikiCup veteran, having finished sixth in 2011 and fourth in 2010. Casliber writes on the natural sciences, including ornithology, botany and astronomy. Over half of Casliber's points this round were bonus points from the high-importance articles he has worked on.
- Cwmhiraeth (submissions) came second in Pool A. Also writing on biology, especially marine biology, Cwmhiraeth received 390 points for one featured article (Bivalvia) and one good article (pelican), topping up with a large number of did you knows.
- Muboshgu (submissions) was third in Pool A. Muboshgu writes primarily on baseball, and this round saw Muboshgu's first featured article, Derek Jeter, promoted on its fourth attempt at FAC.
- Dana Boomer (submissions) was fourth in Pool A. She writes on a variety of topics, including horses, but this round also saw the high-importance lettuce reach featured article status.
- Sasata (submissions) is another WikiCup veteran, having been a finalist in 2009 and 2010. He writes mostly on mycology.
However, we must also say goodbye to the eight who did not make the final, having fallen at the last hurdle: GreatOrangePumpkin (submissions), Ealdgyth (submissions), Calvin999 (submissions), Piotrus (submissions), Toa Nidhiki05 (submissions), 12george1 (submissions), The Bushranger (submissions) and 1111tomica (submissions). We hope to see you all next year.
On the subject of next year, a discussion has been opened here. Come and have your say about the competition, and how you'd like it to run in the future. This brainstorming will go on for some time before more focused discussions/polls are opened. As ever, if you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. I am confounded, help me.
Two well-meaning editors have, I think, misunderstood my edits on India and reverted it twice. Please neutrally comment on the talk page here and help me navigate through this gloomy phase. In your judgement, I trust. The reverter did not look closely at my additions and that's what spurred the argument I guess. I simply don't understand why my edits were reverted in the first place. Yes, I know what I could have done but I just don't get what I did wrong. Help me man! Mrt3366 (Talk page?) (New section?) 16:15, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- It seems that it is over now. As a suggestion, try to give examples of other FA/GA countries articles in such cases, this will make your point more clearer and valid. Btw you are doing a great job against the POV pushers, keep up the great work! ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 10:32, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Get involved man. Every opinion counts. It is far from settled. Please get involved here. Stand up for the verifiable truth. Mrt3366 (Talk page?) (New section?) 16:27, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks! After working with those POV pushers I can't stop myself from cleaning POV, especially an article which terms pilgrim as Hindu nationalists. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 09:34, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hehe. I made voice changes to what was written in the books and news sources so think that POV wasn't cleared. TheSpecialUser TSU 09:46, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
