[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Neil Peart does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! City/town links
[edit]I have been reverting your edits because MOS:LINKSTYLE states cities/towns should be linked like this for example: Riverside, California. You recently changed Santa Monica, California to Santa Monica, California on Eddie Van Halen's article. Linking cities/towns like that is depreciated. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks. Bowling is life (talk) 03:01, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
- And please read WP:Overlinking there are a lot of we don't link e.g. major countries and locations, such as London, which you linked in Motörhead - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 09:56, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
- Your overlinking and addition of unnecessary political subdivisions (e.g. Amsterdam,
North Holland, Netherlands) have been reverted dozens of times; failure or refusal to "get the point" is considered disruptive editing and may result in being blocked from editing WP. Also, you editing is quite similar to that of Rusty ShackIeford (talk · contribs), who was blocked indefinitely. Are you two the same? —Ojorojo (talk) 15:19, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. KirkburnFandom (talk) 15:51, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
City and State
[edit]Hi there! May I ask why you're changing a bunch of articles and removing the State from the city? Is there a discussion or consensus somewhere that states that this should be done? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:03, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

Ligatures
[edit]Hi, there is no consensus to add ligatures to diocesan articles, per the conversation at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Catholicism/Archive 2021#Ligatures in the names of dioceses. Thanks. Elizium23 (talk) 00:39, 5 June 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Robvanvee. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Electric Wizard, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robvanvee 17:42, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
