Hey, thank you for your input on my UAA inquiry about the user with the Lutheranonline name. The name was too commercial for me, hence my posting, but I am glad that you made the effort to contact the user about the potential problem. Be well. Ecoleetage (talk) 19:15, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

tnxman307 are bots a ip banner ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cyberdemon4 (talk • contribs) 08:45, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not quite sure what you mean by "IP banner". Can bots ban IP addresses from editing? No. IP blocking must be done by an administrator who has reviewed the contributions of the IP address. Bots can report vandalism and some of them are really good at it, like User:ClueBot. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 11:45, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
what are bots
what are bots tnxman307 what are they ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cyberdemon4 (talk • contribs) 15:47, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Bots are scripts that automatically do edits that would be tedious to do otherwise. Reverting vandalism, correcting broken wikilinks, fixing dates, etc. There's a great summation at WP:BOT. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 15:51, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
how do you post templates

- You can post templates by placing the appropriate information between two sets of two brackets. For example, you can place {{smile}} on someone's talk page to smile at them. Or you can place {{talkback}} on someone's talk page to let them know they have a new message on your talk page. See WP:TEMPLATE for more. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 16:03, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Your RFA.
I have recently read your RFA, and I have quite expected it, too bad I have spotted it when it was already closed.
I would vote against because:
- the fact you have removed from your user talk page all criticism of your actions, even if it was stated by notable members of Wikipedia in polite and mature manner, an admin who can't handle properly different opinions never should be one of a international community based project.
- you seem to like to be at power, AFD in here is sort of cocker fight and demonstation of strengh, and therefore more and more successful deletions are considered a plus in adminship consideration (which is gross, and generates moral decay of the community). I think successful deletions should be rather a minus, since they indicate that the person has nothing else to waste their time on than to hunt other contributors work imperfections. Wikipedia does not need policemen, and repression aparatus, it will not be Wikipedia anymore when its creation will be successful.
- It is laughable when the special power comes to people as reward for their contributions. Pumping edit count by watching new pages, reverting vandalism, logging in to have any typo counted as an edit (and not even marking it as a minor one) is a common issue, the high management seems to be blind for. Any project where power is a cookie to get as a reward will sooner or later mutate and crash. That is the human nature. An admin should be a person having mental traits and technical knowledge to keep the system running in neutral and fair way, profesional AFD roosters so not match this criteria.
I'am glad there came other people who raised these issues and your RFA was turned down - it means Wikipedia hasn't gone crazy to the marrow.
I hope you will read this input before silently deleting it.
And I have posted it as an IP, because I refuse to pump my edit count, especially with edits completly irrelevant to human knowledge base.
-- Platyna

Hi there. Came across this AfD, checked out the page, and it turns out that the current four paragraphs are copied (link at AfD log). Hi, I've removed the speedy deletion tag from Jim McGinlay, since being in Slik is a claim of notability. It does need sourcing, though. It probably would be best as a redirect to the band article, but if the creator of the article can improve it, so be it. If you still think it should be deleted, go ahead and list it at AfD. seed herbarium image project edits
hello, this was my first page, so i was just wondering if you could enlighten me as to why it was necessary to remove the address at the end of the page. much appreciated. Seedherbarium (talk) 14:27, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- There's a few reasons, actually. The first is to prevent spam. Wikipedia's info is copied across the web by several other sites and having a phone# floating around usually isn't a good idea. Secondly, having a phone# and address is close to advertising. A better idea is to include a link to your organization's official website. That way, interested parties can go there for the relevant info. I hope this helps. TN‑X-Man 14:31, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. also i was wondering if you could help me get the page more visible. it seems now that you have to search exactly Seed Herbarium Image Project (SHIP) to find the page. Please allow me to defend or edit the Page on DiscipleLife that was deleted. It was not intended as advertising but as a method of explaining the term and demonstrating how the term "DiscipleLife" is being used by the Northern Texas- Northern Louisiana Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. I am confident that by editting I can have the page confirm to WikiPedia's rules and standards. I am new to WikiPedia and did not use the preview mode to look at the page but rather saved the page instead. Therefore the page was deleted before I was finished creating and editing.

Proposed deletion of HTMLayout
Hi! First off, thanks for doing the new pages patrol; at around about the same time, I saw you tag two articles for deletion - ArkvoodleNoodle1's Youtube Videos and HTMLayout. The former definitely deserves removal, but I think HTMLayout is a program which is indeed notable enough to be mentioned.
The page was red-linked from List of layout engines, and since I have a little experience with the component, I decided to put in a stub. Unfortunately there's not a lot that I can cite, so it's going to look fairly scant; I hesitate to put personal experience into the article page (although there's some personal-experience comments in the talk page). Is there any other way to provide information about something that, while freely available for anyone to grab so thus anyone (well, any programmer) can verify my information, does not actually have much third-party review - or at least, I haven't found it. Hopefully the stub marker will invite someone else to look it up.
Response to my talk page if poss pls, as I may not notice one here or on the HTMLayout talk page necessarily.

Competition cams speedy deletion?
Hello. I have been working with user Jabarke1 to improve the article Competition cams. I noticed that there were two other articles about the same company that were speedily deleted (one by you) under CSD:A7. The user seems very aggressive and the new article still reads as an advertisement. Do you think this would qualify to be deleted under CSD:G4 Recreation of deleted material? — Yavoh 16:02, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- It would not qualify as G4, as that category only applies to articles deleted by the Afd process. However, I still think this article should be deleted as it currently stands, as it appears to be a mixture of advertising and non-notability. My suggestion would be to nominate the article for deletion via AfD. That way the community can offer its opinions. If the community agrees to delete the article, future (unimproved) incarnations of the article can be deleted via G4. I hope this helps. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 16:09, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Hello. In responve to user Yavoh's comment, I am not aggressive. Rather, I have been harrassed by your thoughtless "speedy deletions", and am persistent to prove your opinion as personal, and not academic. As I told Yavoh, if my article is doing something wrong, please inform me IN DETAIL OR WITH SPECIFIC EVIDENCE of how and where I can correct it, or you can edit it for me. The entire article is researched, non-bias fact. I have edited the article today, and invite you to look it over once more (or once, in all likelihood) and provide me with your advice on how the article can be improved. Your persistence so far has been admirable, but it has also been bias and improper, to say the least. I would appreciate you keeping an open mind as an editor. Thank you.

Thanks again.

Thanks for all your help and guidance
Dear Tnxman307, I really appreciate your help with the stub page Necessary Heartbreak. Any additional advice you may have regarding keeping off a notability tag would be really helpful. Thanks again - CS Conniesmall (talk) 13:09, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
- The notability tag has been added to the article because another editor does not think the subject is notable enough to be included. The best way to address these concerns is to A) review the notability guideline for books, which can be found here and B) add reliable sources that demonstrate the notability. For books, your best bet would be independent reviews or evidence that the book made a top-seller list. I hope this helps! TN‑X-Man 13:15, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
It does. Good luck with the wrist - cs 24.47.209.51 (talk) 14:13, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

- I marked the page because it does not indicate why the subject is notable. If you can add this info to the article, it would be a big help. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 14:48, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Adoption Offer
Thank you for the offer! Before all of this begins, would recommend studying all of the tutorials first before I had you formally adopt me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by OneLastTime93 (talk • contribs) 18:50, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- You can if you'd like, but there's a lot to read though. I might be able to give you better advice if you tell me what you're interested in doing on Wikipedia. Would you like to edit articles? Create articles? Fight vandalism? There's a lot to do! I'd be willing to adopt you whether you've read up or not. Also, be sure and sign all of your messages by typing ~~~~ at the end. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 18:55, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
i was interested in helping stop vandalismOneLastTime93 (talk) 16:32, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- OK, great! The first step is know what vandalism is, exactly. This guide tells you what vandalism is and is not. Once you're familiar with the idea, head over to the recent changes log. You should see a whole list of changes that were made to Wikipedia in the past few minutes. Click on the "diff" link beside one of the edits to see what change was made. If it's vandalism, edit the page and change it back. This should be a good way to get familiar with stopping vandalism. Give it a crack and let me know if you have any questions/issues. Cheers! Adding a person
Dear Sir:
I saw some of your answers on the answer page for new people like me and I was wondering if you would help take down my speedy deletion for Joshua Schwadron or let me know how to change it to make it conform with the site. I believe he meets the notability requirement and I am aware of something very notable happening in the near future. LEC36 (talk) 14:24, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've looked at the article, but it really needs a lot of help. Are there any other sources you could list that show why he is notable? In regards to your comment about something notable happening soon, please be aware that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Talking about future events without solid sources is a risky business. To sum up, adding sources and indicating why he is notable is your best bet to get this article kept. I hope this helps! TN‑X-Man 14:36, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
I understand that future notability means nothing, but I thought he was already notable enough for the site. Then, when that event happens, I can be the first to post it! He has already been named by GQ magazine as college man of the year - the only time GQ has ever done that. He was on Fear Factor Las Vegas - he also was interviewed by VH1 for its behind the scenes Fear Factor edition and was nominated by VH1 for reality tv star of the year. is that not notable enough? LEC36 (talk) 14:45, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- That sounds great - the next step is to add it to the article with the relevant sources. The part about GQ would be good, especially if it's the only time the magazine has named a BMOC. But sourcing is everything. For the moment, it looks like your article is out of the woods, but don't let that stop you from improving it. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 14:51, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
So sorry - last question I promise. When you say relevant sources - I included 2 sources for the GQ, one from the Journal of Higher Education, one of the most well respected Journals in the academic world. What other relevant sources could I add? When you say improving it because it is in the woods, could you explain? Can you help me improve it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by LEC36 (talk • contribs) 14:59, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, when I say "out of the woods" I mean that it looks OK for now. The sources you provided look like this. The first is an interview with the subject. So far so good. The second source requires a subscription to view, so I'm not sure how reliable it is. The third source is just a news blurb. Are there any sources that provide in-depth coverage? The first source is closest to that. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 15:23, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your continual advice and guidance. My article, Joshua Schwadron, recently got tagged with it may not be notable tag. I am still confused on what sources to add. A lot of the sources I found, are only viewable by paid subscription, like the Detroit Free Press. Would it help the submission if I have more biographical information. In your opinion do you not think this is notable enough for the site? Help! Thanks. LEC36 (talk) 14:50, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- No problem! Adding sources that are only viewable with a subscription is tricky because other editors can't be sure what the article says. If there are any other mentions of Schwadron in free articles, add those in as well. You can add in more biographical info, but be sure to read this guide. Wikipedia has to be very careful with information on living people. So long as you're careful, feel free to keep expanding the article. I hope this answers your question! TN‑X-Man 15:09, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
I guess I am confused as if the notability question that has been raised is because the things listed are not notable enough or if they are notable enough but just not cited enough. There are 4 citations, 2 for each claim. Can you be more specific in letting me know what I should do to achieve the notability requirement. Thanks. LEC36 (talk) 16:55, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think it's the number of references provided, but rather the quality of the references. See the reliable sources guide for more info. As I mentioned earlier, it does appear (to me) that this person is notable. The person who added the {{notability}} template to the article doesn't agree. If you think the tag is unwarranted, you can remove it if you like. The specific guidelines for the notability of people can be found here. Read through it and see if the article matches up with the guidelines. That's the best and quickest way to improve your article. I hope this helps! TN‑X-Man 17:43, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Hope everything is well. I expanded the article on Joshua Schwadron as best I could using all the online resources I could find on things that are notable. Do you mind looking at it and letting me know what you think? I would really appreciate it. Also, should I add more biographical information or should I leave it like that? The only biographical stuff I can really find is on a company he works for website which has his bio. What do you think? LEC36 (talk) 19:16, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Why did you decline my request?
4 the request of an article about Mark Capon: U said that the page was a mostly blank bio. It was my intention, because I was asking for someone to make the page for me. I provided a source of information, so I think that should be enough. Can u type the article up 4 me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.74.176.72 (talk) 02:55, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, Articles for Creation allows anonymous users to submit articles that they would need an account to make otherwise. If you want, you can create an account, which has a ton of benefits, and create your article that way. Or, you could submit some more info at AfC and we can help you from there. Be sure to note why Mark Capon is notable and cite some sources and that should be enough to get started. I hope this helps! TN‑X-Man 03:23, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- U cant just type the information u find on google? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.74.176.72 (talk) 03:39, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
I added some info to the request. Will u review it again? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.74.177.34 (talk) 01:28, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- I took a look at the article again and still don't think it's there yet. Add some reliable sources that show why Mark Capon is notable. Some quick ways to show notability: Has he won any major awards or received any significant coverage in outside sources? If you can add something like that in to the article (or meet the requirements listed [[WP:BIO|in this guide), you'll be good to go. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 01:38, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- I HAVE done that already. i said Awards: Jazz Study Grants, National Endowment For The Arts 1988 and 1989; Semi Finalist Fish Middleton Jazz Scholarship Competition 1995 and 1996 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.74.177.42 (talk) 01:47, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- also I said Television: Featured artist on TELEJAZZ Cable TV show, Newark, New Jersey 1994. So I did that all —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.74.177.42 (talk) 01:51, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Request
Hope everything is well. I expanded the article on Joshua Schwadron as best I could using all the online resources I could find on things that are notable based on your suggestions. Do you mind looking at it and letting me know what you think and if there are any edits you suggest or want to make? I would really appreciate it. Also, should I add more biographical information or should I leave it like that? The only biographical stuff I can really find is on a company he works for website which has his bio on it. What do you think? 96.232.216.67 (talk) 14:05, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- It looks OK to me. If you have biographical info to add, that would be good also. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 17:27, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Can you look at my document, and advise?
Could you look at THIS and advise if I am preparing it correctly, as I have never done such before. Thank you. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 17:35, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- I will look over it and comment, but I have not initiated/participated in a DRV either. I'll be happy to do what I can though. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 20:14, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Its a learning experience for me, so extra eyes are welcome. I was wondering if I should stress so much that the article had been considerable chipped apart after it can out of the AfD last January. I may make it appear that I am accusing delete voters of not studying the history before commenting. And true or not, it might seem too negative. And my stressing the suspicious coincidence that a new account was created simply to nominate the emaciated article? Too much? I should I simply request a return based upon the initial argument of minor notability not being enough as a flawed reason for AfD? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 23:29, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Help Page Response
I responded to you on the help page, but I figured that I would post it here too. It's the earlier version that needs to be removed. The current photo on the article is just fine. Richard would like the grainy photo used previously on the article removed as soon as possible. --Candy156sweet (talk) 18:37, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing makes my head spin like image questions. From what I gather, I don't think this image can be removed from the server unless Itsmyright agrees to remove it, since it's a picture he took himself and freely licensed for Wikipedia to use. However, the picture does not appear in any articles, so unless someone went digging for it, not a lot of people would know it's here. I would suggest asking for further help at the image help desk, as they would have a much better idea. I hope this helps! TN‑X-Man 19:52, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately, other people seem to have a not-so-friendly attitude. I just checked my help request in that section for new users and someone made a rather off-putting post. I don't quite understand it, but it doesn't seem like anything good. Could you tell me what's going on? Who is that person? Do they work here? What did that messages mean? Hi, do you have any idea why the archiving bot is not working? MSGJ 06:44, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't. I was actually thinking about it the other day and came with some ideas, none of which I've had a chance to investigate. Does Miszabot only work in User/Talk space? Do noinclude tags affect archiving and if so, did I miss some on the page? I've been busy off-Wiki, but when I get a chance, I'll look into it. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 11:42, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Problem sorted. You had it archiving to the talk space which the bot didn't like. I didn't notice this either! MSGJ 11:37, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

another article
Hi there, you may remember you helped me when I wrote an article on Marchmont House. I would like to write another article, this time on Marchmont Estate. It is such a while ago that I did this that I a little confused again. I have written a draft of the article and have my references etc and want to paste it from a word document into my sandbox but my sandbox has the previous article in it, do I just erase it to make way for the other one? many thanks (Mark J Richards (talk) 15:30, 23 October 2008 (UTC))
- You can erase the old article if you'd like or you can create a second sandbox. Either way would work and it's more your personal preference than anything else. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 15:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

I don't know what happened. Just wanted to create a user page for me ---- maybe interference with the German wikipedia site I was working on in parallel??? Can you take care of deleting whatever I created that is not my personal user page? Thanks... (Madege (talk) 16:12, 28 October 2008 (UTC))

- I marked the page you created for deletion. User and user talk pages start with "User" and "User talk" on the English wiki, on the German wiki, they start with "Benutzer" and "Benutzer diskussion". It seems like that's where the mixup occurred. Don't worry though, no harm, no foul. Cheers! TN‑X-Man 16:17, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
