January 2024

[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Thomas L. Kennedy Secondary School, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 21:47, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, I will try to find a citation or a source and edit it a later time, Thank you. Titan2456 (talk) 21:56, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Drive-by nominations

[edit]

Please stop nominating articles you have no contributions to for GA. This is against the rules and all drive-by nominations have been reverted. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 16:03, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was a unaware of that rule, Thank you for alerting me. Titan2456 (talk) 16:36, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I know I am replying after a really long time, but I was wondering, can I nominate an article for GA while not being a significant contributor so that I can make the changes necessary for the article to become GA worthy. Titan2456 (talk) 01:28, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

GA

[edit]

I would really, strongly, advise you to withdraw your nomination for Treaty of Saadabad. It is a long way from GA. It has bare urls, non-standard formatting, and needs a vigorous copyedit. I haven't looked at the sourcing quality, but there are several unreferenced claims. I urge your to quietly withdraw it and gain experience with the GA criteria, rather than have it quick-failed, which is liable to happen. 🌺 Cremastra (talk) 17:59, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Titan2456 (talk) 05:17, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

February 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm MBlaze Lightning. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Indo-Pakistani war of 1965 seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MBlaze Lightning (talk) 12:15, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How was it not neutral? Titan2456 (talk) 22:12, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think you should give up now. If you continue, he may report you because he reported me for the same issue. Elanoraga (talk) 12:32, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think I’ll keep trying, If they answer to my query and give a good reason I’ll give up. Titan2456 (talk) 21:18, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of political parties in Pakistan. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 16:25, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Image Licenses of Imran Khan

[edit]

Hey fella! Hope you are doing well! I was just here conveying message to please upload any of the images on wikimedia commons according to license guidelines and copyright rukes, just like I have recently gone through the recently two uploaded images of Imran Khan as YouTube screenshots, I am requesting to change its license immediately from cc by sa 4.0 to cc by 3.0 YouTube one to avoid their deletion in future and as far as the darkened portrait of Imran you uploaded and used in his sidebar as image it is bound to have copyright rules conflict and will be deleted immediately because it is not part of a YouTube video screenshot and either a thumbnail of Khan's photograph which can be easily found as single image on his social media accounts so it will almost get deketed immediately so I will request you to request it for deletion immediately and be aware with copyright rules in future! Well have a nice day! ☺️ Wallu2 (talk) 02:47, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! By the way I greatly appreciate and admire all your work on Pakistani political Wikipedia pages, Have a nice day too! 😊 Titan2456 (talk) 03:45, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tehreek Tahafuz Ayin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Regionalism. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on Template:2024 Pakistani Election Constituency requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

A very useless template, just further increases clutter on articles and Wikipedia in general.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Replaceable non-free use File:Parvez Elahi Punjab Cabinet Oath.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Parvez Elahi Punjab Cabinet Oath.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:41, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Pakistan Reserve Seats Case has a new comment

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Pakistan Reserve Seats Case. Thanks! — Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:26, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I responded there I'll attach my response here as well: Agreed not every case deserves a stand alone article, but this case is extremely politically important right now, it affects the current government’s majority, the result of the case would either give PTI, the opposition party, the plurality, hence greatly affecting Pakistan’s current government, or it would strength en the govt. Hence it is noteworthy as it is one of the top cases in Pakistan, as all judges of the SC have been assembled and it would affect the number of seats in every national and provincial assembly.
To answer your first question, It has been called the “Reserve Seats Case” all across news and media, adding Pakistan at the start would make it so it doesn’t overlap into another country’s parliament’s reserve seats, but it can be moved if required. Edit-warring at Gandapur ministry

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 20:26, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary

[edit]

Avoid leaving bad faith edit summaries like this one. When there is already extensive content on Maryam's corruption by Saqib and others, there's not much more for me to add. But what about you? You’re eager to write about the corruption of non-PTI politicians such as Murad Ali Shah while consistently adding positive content about PTI. If you won’t address PTI's corruption, someone else will have to do it. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 01:33, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Ali Palh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is insufficient in-depth coverage on this individual to satisfy the criteria outlined in WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. Kovcszaln6 (talk) 12:04, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is not useful to file case requests about the same article at two noticeboards, such as DRN and WP:ANI, at the same time. I have closed the DRN discussion. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:58, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is not the same article, ANI is about the Imran Khan BLP and DRN is about a section on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, different pages. ANI is also on behavioral POV pushing, while DRN is about a specific content dispute. However, if you think closing DRN is the right decision I do not oppose it.
