Hi Theroadislong, I thought I'd cracked it but it seems you were doing it for me! Sorry, but I'm still finding it difficult. I am trying so hard to comply with Wikipedia conditions.I have read the link you sent to me, but it isn't easy for me to understand. I've put double brackets before and after the word I have highlighted. Then I've pasted in the link to a Wikipedia page, added the vertical line after this link, and before the highlighted word. Is this all I need to do? Sorry for being so dumb here. Liubov Shcherbakova (HandsofGenius (talk) 17:30, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

You don't need to paste the link in at all! Theroadislong (talk) 17:31, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

Johnson Bros Tours

I understand you want your moment of glory here, but if you insist on keeping the page as it is at least bring it up to date, Johnson Bros Coaches have not been sprayed blue and gold now for over 15 years and neither have Redfern Travel's coaches been Green and gold for the same time, Also the picture of the Bova is out of date. Johnson Bros Tours no longer own this vehicle and before it was sold for many years it was a White coach in the Just Go livery. RichardDowns (talk) 21:18, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Graham Short, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Needle and Yves St Laurent. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edits to Free Christians and Fellowship of Non-Subscribing Christians

I can accept the change to 'Free Christians (Britain)' - although I would argue the organisation Fellowship of Non-Subscribing Christians does have a direct link, as seen in this guide which lists under 'F' their affiliation with Free Christians in Britain : http://www.liberalchristian.org/2014/12/an-abc-of-non-subscribing-christianity.html

However, I notice you now have edited the wikipedia page for the Fellowship of Non-Subscribing Christians to remove the official website for this group!

I understand there are rules around adding external links, but as somebody with an academic interest in variations of Christianity, I would argue these are very much relevant and connected. It seems to me you are ultimately being pedantic, particularly if you start reducing the official websites from pages about said organisation - are you going to apply this rule consistently across Wikipedia? MGHLane (talk) 20:23, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

It would appear that you were the one removing the official website? Theroadislong (talk) 20:27, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
Please do your research. I research these kind of groups often, mapping trends in Christianity and this group changed their webpage at some point from fnschristians.org to liberalchristian.org. I amended the page as a result, and then also tried to look at other connecting pages within that family of theology. MGHLane (talk) 20:39, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
OK My apologies, I've added it back for you, though it's not clear why they would do that? Theroadislong (talk) 20:53, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Hello Theroadislong. Thanks for helping me to understand how to make links.

I am now going to try to work my way through the points you have raised at the head of Graham Short's page. I am unsure about the 'neutrality' point? I have tried very hard to comply with this. I have looked at Willard Wigan's page (He does similar work to Mr Short) and used this as a guide to follow. It mentions his work as : 'His work is described as phenomenal and the eighth wonder of the world.' I have tried to avoid such phrases.

Also, the mention of the article being an 'orphan' is not clear to me. Maybe the links to Wikipedia pages that I have now added will satisfy the 'orphan' statement?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again, Liubov Shcherbakova HandsofGenius (talk) 10:43, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

The orphan tag means that no other Wikipedia article mentions him. Theroadislong (talk) 10:47, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. I have noticed that much of the page for Graham Short has now been deleted. I am okay about this because primarily I don't want to violate Wikipedia's guidelines. I have looked at why the article is judged to be an orphan but I still don't understand what I must do to remedy this. Can you please explain in very simple terms how I can do this. Thanks again. Liubov Shcherbakova HandsofGenius (talk) 13:59, 26 March 2016 (UTC) In order for it not to be an orphan, other wikipedia articles need to mention him and link to him. ✞ Rory Emerald ✞

Thank you Theroadislong for your genuine, professional, and promising message. You are very kind. My situation is an anomaly. Believe you me I have no desire to talk about myself. I have received a plethora of offers from publishers all over the world asking me to write my autobiography. Each time I say no. I'm very good at writing, just not about myself. There were some pages/notes/links et cetera about me on Wikipedia that were absolutely NOT TRUE. One actually said I was a child molester. I brought this to the attention of Wikipedians a few weeks ago. Once I proved to them who I was and what the truth really was they deleted a lot of content I found very hurtful and extremely embarrassing. My dear friend and columnist brought much of this to my attention. I thought the only way a Wikipedia page [about me] could only be done correctly and legitimately was by me. Perhaps that sounds insane, but I know what the truth is. And the proof is in the pudding. Can you please help me? So many people from all over the world ask me about "my Wikipedia page, or why I don't have one" et cetera. I no longer no what to say. Folks are very interested in reading about: 1. My relationship/hoax romance with Elizabeth Taylor 2. Me pretending to be Mia Farrow's personal shopper and getting arrested in Beverly Hills 3. My connection to Andy Warhol/NY Post hoax 4. Different stories about my funny "FOUND ADS" in newspapers across America 5. My artwork 6. Random/miscellaneous stuff from a plethora of newspapers, magazines, TV et cetera. Theroadislong <3 I never considered myself famous or even a public figure; however, "they" continue to write and talk about me literally all the time. Before you make up your mind or perhaps say something negative; please give me the benefit-of-the-doubt by asking me questions. That's all I ask. Happy Easter. ✝RORYwikiEMERALDpedia (talk) 09:11, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

My page Cropio is considered for a deletion

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your messages. I was just trying to return a page Cropio - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cropio, to it's original version. It was an article about real, established product. We wrote it for our clients. Yesterday User:DESiegel and User:Justlettersandnumbers have done lots of edits saying that they didn't find any real references except of couple of press releases. But we do have real reviews from our clients. You can see them here:

1. http://www.capterra.com/farm-management-software/spotlight/133659/Cropio/N%20S%20T%20%20New%20Science%20Technologies 2. https://www.g2crowd.com/products/cropio/reviews

Please, don't delete our page and let me recover it. Thanks in advance! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Morena makarena (talkcontribs) 09:20, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Your edit actually removed a reference. It is not your page, anyone can edit Wikipedia, but if you have a clear conflict of interest like yourselves then it is best to make suggestions on the article talk page. Theroadislong (talk) 09:30, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Someone has cutted an article Cropio and considered it for deletion

Hi,

A few users: User:DESiegel and User:Justlettersandnumbers have cutted the article Cropio (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cropio) and now it's considered for a deletion. But, this article has been on Wikipedia for almost 4 years. It was rewritten than a few times in 20 minutes yesterday and has been considered for a deletion. I've tried to return the original text of the article, but I couldn't.

Can I do this? Thanks in advance for your reply!

You need to hold this discussion on the article talk page not here.Theroadislong (talk) 12:36, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

I am not sure if I am doing this right...

You asked that I login and name the article..

It is Julia Flynn Siler, author

Heriot Watt honorary degree dumping

You reverted an edit on Vivienne Westwood by a guy who has been very busy doing the same edit on a bunch of other articles. I'm sure it is all in good faith but it is quite a lot of edits saying pretty much the same thing and if it is not notable for Westwood, then presumably it's just as non-notable for the others too...? Thoughts? Mabalu (talk) 09:14, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

I don't think it's notable for anyone, but he has made a large number of additions of the same content! Theroadislong (talk) 18:10, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

I don't know how to respond directly to your reply..

Thank you!

How do I ensure I have the copyrights? What does that mean?

MelissBelle (talk) 18:32, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Just read your info on the conflict of interest..

She is paying me for the article, but not per edit. I will be doing this for another person as well. So, am I understanding that I just note on my talk page who has hired me to write/post an article for them? What do I do about the suggestions people have given to me? Do I not edit at all once I have posted an article..this seems a little silly..

Sorry for all the questions! I want to abide by the guidelines, but I am not very clear on them..

MelissBelle (talk) 18:40, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Someone will reply to your question at The Teahouse page I have no doubt. We are all volunteers here, paid editing is extremely controversial and NOT encouraged at all, it goes against everything the encyclopedia stands for. I have no desire to help you further. Theroadislong (talk) 19:04, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Thank you, anyway

I am a bit confused by your comment, but thank you anyway, for all of your help and I will figure it out.

Best to you in all of your future endeavors.

MelissBelle (talk) 19:16, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi again..

I just noticed all of your edits...

Again, I am a new user and while you have been very helpful, I would have appreciated your informing me of my mistakes, before removing half of my article.
I have been VERY honest and open in all of my communication, and perhaps I am wrong, but it seems as though you may be punishing me for doing something you don't agree with.
I am not a company, I am a person- a full-time student and mom with no prior-relationship to the subject. I am doing the best that I can, and learning as I go. This is my FIRST article. If I were a dishonest person, do you think that I would have asked for help like I did?
You knew that I was a new user, and if you truly wanted to help maintain Wikipedia's standards, you could have taken the time you spent cutting my article, and educated me a little. We all start somewhere.
Again, I have been working on fixing the problem and asking for help for over 4 hours, and I am not trying to insult or attack you, it seems you have a very deep convictions, and that is why I reached out to you to begin with. I just needed to let you know that I did not appreciate your methods, and hopefully, you will extend a bit more grace to another in the future.
Best,

MelissBelle (talk) 23:57, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) @MelissBelle:. I have Theroadsislong's user talk on my watchlist so hopefully neither of you mind me commenting here. The first thing I suggest you do is to stop referring to the article as "my article". We as editors do not have any sort of ownership rights over the articles we create or edit; moreover, the subjects of articles do not own the articles written about them. Once a draft, etc. has been added to the mainspace, it's there for anyone to edit at anytime for better or worse.
There is also no policy which says that an editor is required to discuss their edits before making them; in fact, editors are encouraged to be bold and make changes/improvements to articles that they feel are needed per relevant policies and guidelines. Wikipedia articles are not intended to be perfect and the goal is to improve them steadily over time. Major changes to an article are sometimes best proposed first on the article's talk page per WP:CAUTIOUS, but once again this is not a requirement and not doing so it not really considered to be a faux pas of Wikipedia etiquette. Theroadislong is a very experienced editor who has created many articles, and the changes which were made are ones that would be seen as improvements by almost any other experienced editor. I know it can be hard to see an article that you worked hard to develop being edited by others, but that is the very nature of Wikipedia. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:34, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

Interesting

This note you placed. I support discussing this with the editor--it seems to be pretty close to spamming, and that honorary degree strikes me as not exactly very notable. Perhaps they should all be reverted (while they can be rolled back). Drmies (talk) 16:09, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

It's border line spamming in most cases, but with very notable people it clearly is of little importance compared to actual degrees, doctorates and knighthoods etc. Theroadislong (talk) 16:13, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Edits to Nottingham page are not promotional for New Art Exchange. It is a member of Nottingham City's Strategic Cultural Partnership and historical data will be added to a new page about the organisation. Please do not remove factual information that is for public benefit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Katelockhart (talkcontribs) 17:44, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

I would strongly advise that you do not edit the article again but propose changes on the talk page as per conflict of interest guidelines, you also need to declare that you are a paid editor either on the article talk page or on your own user page. Theroadislong (talk) 18:18, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Re. Holy Face of Jesus

Re: Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Holy Face of Jesus, you may be blocked from editing. Theroadislong (talk) 11:59, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

I am not soapboxing, promoting or advertising. I have simply tried three times now to add links to the The Holy Face Devotion website launched in February this year, solely for the benefit of Wiki users interested in this topic. The website I have linked to is a 'not for profit' resource and information site, completely free from marketing material, adverts and pop-ups. Please don't make assumptions about new users. Also please refrain from suggesting that my activity is spam!

I am new to Wiki and not sure how to reply to users that jump to conclusions and remove the edits I am trying to make for the benefit of others. Please tell the other Wiki user that also wrongly inferred that my activity is spam, to leave my edits alone.

Thank you!

Holy Face Devotion (talk) 12:36, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

about free port of Ventspils

Hello I had prepared a text for the free port of Ventspils which I noticed did not meet your standards. I have also noticed that the port of Rotterdam or the port of Hamburg consists of very similar information as I had prepared. I believe there was some lack of objectivity in my text, but the main points were the same. Could you consider the possibility of reverting the history and the terminals which is the general description of any port. Also does this mean I am not allowed to participate in editing this text?

Mike Rimmer's phoographs

I will of course defer to your judgement but would just like to give a little background about Mike Rimmer and his photography page.

Mike spent many years as a History, Geography and English teacher at the British School of Lome where I also once worked. His was loved by all the students and will be remembered for the hard work he put into educating those students who where lucky enough to be taught by him. He documented the years he was at the school through his photography and was unofficially the school photographer. Mike sadly passed away in November of last year and as he had created an extensive collection of picture that document a particular part of the school history, I felt it would not only be informative but also a fitting tribute to Mike Rimmer.

I defer to your judgement but honestly do not see how this could be considered advertising or promotion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NomisSnilloc (talkcontribs) 11:03, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

My edit summary referred to the other link I have added back the Rimmer one for you, the article really needs some reliable third party sources though to establish notability, schools are not automatically notable enough for an article. Theroadislong (talk) 11:20, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

I am surprised at your comment theroadislong. I am trying to improve the content on Wikipedia and if you have a question about the content added you should be trying to advice me on what the source content is and how to improve the content not stating will be blocked. The primary aim here is to improve the content on the site. Admonishing a contributor without advising them on how best to be a contributor is not the most effective way to improve the content on the site or neither is it the best way to be a guide a a contrThe name added is worthy of mention as a notable Nigerian who has made the country proud. There are publications on the internet that confirmthis. This notable Nigerian was recently mentioned by the president of Nigeria as a notable Nigerian making the nation proud. I am a relatively new contributor to the site and If a have tried to improve the content in a way that is not right I apologize but I expect to be encouraged and advised on how best to go about it not be warned. Thank you Websolutions9 (talk) 13:46, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

You have had a lot of friendly advice on your talk page which you have chosen to ignore. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article to establish notability. Theroadislong (talk) 14:02, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

You added vast swathes of promotional content for example "FMC Technologies is the global market leader". None of it was correctly referenced, external links to your press releases are NOT reliable sources. Wikipedia is only concerned with what third party sources have to say about your company, and as you have a clear conflict of interest you really shouldn't be editing the article at all. Yes, I figured out how you guys link from somewhere else to items in References. And yes, there are links from my 2010 & 2015 Awards area.

However, the 2015 award item in References is completely wrong. I have nothing to do with the US Open. The information there should be "2015 World Swing Dance Hall of Fame (Special Recognition Award)." There should be a web link to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3cJ7wm7sTg ... I purchased that video from the photographer. I also received approval for me to add it to YouTube, and I installed it on YouTube.

Also, they way the data was entered in Reference for the 2010 award needs to be cleaned up. It should be: "2015 California Swing Dance Hall of Fame (Golden Stars Award)." There should be a link to http://www.californiaswingdancehalloffame.com/hall_of_fame.html

I appreciate everyone's help,

Leon Raper

Trust me. No one is saying you have a link to "US Open" that just happens to be where the source for your award is located. Youtube cannot be used as reference on Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 20:48, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

I have told many people at Wikipedia the listings under References on my page are all I have. I have real documents going back to about 1974. They are articles & pictures from magazines, newspapers, etc. I have boxes of records going back to the early 1970's. I found them all. If this is a problem then I guess I am dead on Wikipedia. If anyone wants to see my references then if they come to my house I'll let them see all of them.

I wish I could be of more help, but I can't. If you want to cancel my page because of this there is nothing can do about it.

Maurits van Rooijen and assorted pomps and works

Hi TRiL. This is a heads-up as you have been involved in editing and monitoring this article and the associated London School of Business and Finance. I have begun clean up of the LSBF article following a discussion at Talk:London College of Contemporary Arts. The details are at Talk:London School of Business and Finance. As I imagine my revisions will not escape the notice of the owner's brand managers, you might want to put it on watch. I have also created a separate article on the owner, Global University Systems, which you might also want to put on watch. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 10:08, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi there,

Had a read of the citation guidelines that you recommended - many thanks.

Just want to make sure the manner presented on the following page doesn't cause objection. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saffery_Champness_Chartered_Accountants

Hewitt

I agree that Hewitt has had quite a hard time understanding how Wikipedia works...and have been disagreeing with his content suggestions for an article...but I'm curious what the problem with his user page was? it seemed to be a self-crafted description of himself and his academic work (that contained a lot of vanity and even statements that suggested his erroneous beliefs about some subjects)..but who cares? it's not indexed etc...and it was actually helpful to me in understanding where he was coming from..68.48.241.158 (talk) 16:17, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

more advice

Theroadislong, First I appreciate your attention to the issues of reliable sources in my draft and you indication of how to provide citations in the recognition section. In addition to your edits, I added an 'outside' citation to the subject's National Academy membership.

I am still uncertain on how to proceed. I have tried to remove any evaluative phrases or opinions as to the quality of the work, other than the citation classic (ref 7) which was a source of reliable recognition by the "Current Contents" for highly cited articles. Current Contents selected articles for "Citation Classics" and only then were the authors asked to write commentary (ref 7) http://garfield.library.upenn.edu/classics.html.

The remainder of the references, most coauthored by the subject of the article, are all in peer reviewed journals. I have tried to provide text that only cites facts contained in the publications and not evaluations or opinions. I believed that these would be of interest to Wikipedia users.

Are these inappropriate? Should the text describing the subjects research be eliminated? I would very much appreciate you advice on how to proceed.

Thanking you S051125E (talk) 18:55, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

The references to his own work will not help towards notability, what it needs are citations to reliable, secondary and independent sources that treat the topic in depth. Theroadislong (talk) 19:00, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Hubert Leon Raper

Jack Pina's name is spelled incorrectly. It is not Jack Pins. I took lessons from Jack in the very early 1970's.

Also, Skippy Blair should be at the end of the list, not the beginning. I was working with these other guys before I even knew who Skippy Blair was.

World Swing Dance Hall of Fame

Hi,

The following is your correction regarding the "World Swing Dance Hall of Fame"

The Swing Dance Hall of Fame is sponsored by the World Swing Dance Council (WSDC) in the United States. The hall of fame was established in 1989. Established are the Swing Dance National Hall of Fame and the Halls of Fame for individual states.<ref>{{cite web|title=The Swing Dance National Hall of Fame Structure Synopsis|publisher=World Swing Dance
I know very well why they are not listing me for my World Swing Dance Hall of Fame Special Recognition Award. If you want to call me on the phone at 480-945-9100 I will tell you, but I will not write it. This is a conflict between Skippy Blair and I that started in 2000 regarding a new web site I created. It made her very angry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LeonRaper (talkcontribs) 22:12, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Pengwern Boat Club

Thank you for your feedback on the Pengwern Boat Club Page, concerning its notability guideline. I hope to satisfy you that the club is noteworthy enough to justify an article. The club is a prominent regional rowing club founded in 1881 operating from listed buildings. It is a significant part of its local community, and it is affiliated nationally to British Rowing. Equivalent clubs have their own pages on Wikipedia, for example Marlow Rowing Club http://www.marlowrowingclub.org.uk/ I think it is for you to form a view about treating that club equally with like clubs, but thought some representations would be reasonable. I accept the page needs work, and I'll put some in now so you have more and better sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HAURC (talkcontribs) 13:42, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

You need to establish notability by adding references that show there is widespread coverage of the club in reliable sources. Each article is judged on it's own merits please read Wikipedia:Other stuff exists. Theroadislong (talk) 13:51, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for that perspective, I have done this now I hope, with various sources (newspapers, printed books, etc). I'd like someone to review the page for neutrality etc although I have no direct association with that club and hence no conflict of interest. I see someone has said I might be deemed to have a close connection and presume that these is now no need to duplicate that request? I do not intend to oppose your suggestion that the other page is deleted at this time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TJatHAURC (talkcontribs) 17:56, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

Amendment to Painter Jeremy Gardiner's Wikipedia Page

Hi there. As a new member on Wikipedia, your swift response both impressed and disappointed! Can you please be a bit more specific about what you feel was inappropriate about my correcting painter Jeremy Gardiner's Wikipedia entry? Your rather brief reposte did not assist other than coming across as rather scolding! I fail to see what gives you the right to simply remove the entire updated entry in the way you have. Do you work for Wikipedia? If so, can you please assist me more than provide a couple of generic ambiguous links? I do not seek any 'advertising' as you put it, but rather to correct the many gross errors on the current page. Please advise by return. I wish to do this correctly. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frank Opinions (talkcontribs) 17:22, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

We are all volunteers here, Wikipedia has guidelines for how articles are presented they need citations to reliable, secondary and independent sources that treat the topic in depth. Your edits had no citations and removed the only referenced content. Wikipedia is NOT concerned with what you know but only what the reliable sources report about a subject. If there are any gross errors you could point them out on the talk page with appropriate sources back up. Theroadislong (talk) 17:35, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

RE: Wrigley Edits

What edits to the Wrigley page were not appropriate? There were (and now are, since my edits have apparently been discarded) serious factual inaccuracies on the Wrigley company's Wikipedia page and I attempted to correct them by using cited and sourced information from a timeline of the company's history. SLHardinger10 (talk) 16:36, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Terms like “Wrigley is a global leader in the confections industry” and “a famous landmark on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile” seemed to me to be promotional and your edits were mostly sourced to their own website rather than the preferred secondary sources. Theroadislong (talk) 16:44, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

--Their own website has the best comprehensive timeline of the company's history, as one might expect. I used secondary sources for as much as was possible, their website is already cited as a source several times on the existing page. "One of Chicago's best-known landmarks on the Magnificent Mile" is already on the page now, not sure there's much of a difference between the two. "global leader" was meant to emphasize the company's non-US operations, not promote them. I will try to edit again and avoid anything that could be possibly deemed as promotional. The existing page has serious factual inaccuracies about several different aspects of the company that need to be corrected. SLHardinger10 (talk) 16:49, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

@SLHardinger10: Just reading over your edit history the last few days raises some rather alarming bells about who you are. Please read, WP:FCOI. If you are working for Wrigley Company; you should inform users of incorrect information on the Talk:Wrigley Company, and leave it up to regular editors to address it. The official website quite notably has a bias towards the company, and Wikipedia is not a place for PR. Devilmanozzy (talk) 07:30, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Help needed

But how I can included these films where I worked? Please help.Thanks.Toreeva (talk) 15:41, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia only records what the reliable sources say about a subject if it hasn't been reported on then Wikipedia is not interested, it's NOT your CV! Theroadislong (talk) 15:43, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi Theroadislong, I used Russia Wikipedia, where the film with the name is mentioned. Why it is not reliable source? I will find another place not imdb, since this one you don't like, but it is in Russian. Another question: why in ref 1) and 2) you put not find date? And you can't find the name? You can read (in Russian) for the "School of Sidlin" ("Школа Сидлина") and "Natalia Toreeva" name is there as "Н. Тореева". But it THERE! Thanks.Toreeva (talk) 20:42, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

How is anyone supposed to know that Н. Тореева is you? I would strongly suggest you stop editing the article directly, it's turning into nothing but a CV for you and NOT a Wikipedia article based on reliable third party sources. Theroadislong (talk) 20:46, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi Theroadislong, that's why I included both versions (Russian and Eng), but if you would read in Russian, it is obviously. I asked to correct the article any editors, who prev. cleaned the article, but it looks they are busy. I'm not writing, I just helping to put the correct references, and in the right grammar format. If you have time, please check if imdb.com should be deleted and only Russian references of films would be left, or both could be OK. Please, don't explain, just do editing to improve the article. Thanks.Toreeva (talk) 22:22, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Jehovah's Witnesses

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jehovah's Witnesses, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 20:55, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
Your point is well taken. I will do as you ask. Let me try again using a reliable source. I respect your advice as a more experienced editor. So far, I have made mainly grammar and error corrections in Wikipedia, or corrected faulty French translations into English, but on the subject of Jehovah's Witnesses, I believe that I am an expert, since I am a dedicated, baptized, active Witness with full faith in Jehovah and his organization. May I ask, are there other editors of this page like me? Regards and respect Wandering-teacher (talk) 23:27, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
See WP:COI. Article content needs to be based on reliable sources, not on the opinions of editors whose 'expertise' is based only on affiliation with your chosen religious organisation. Your statement that you are a "dedicated, baptized, active Witness with full faith in Jehovah and his organization" does not confer any actual expertise, but does call into question your ability to edit objectively on this subject. Additionally, even if you were a published expert on the subject, it would be self-promotion to cite your own work.--Jeffro77 (talk) 02:17, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Further improvements to SOCO International's page

Hello Theroadislong.. I would like to draw your attention to some new (third party sourced) facts which I believe are relevant and should be included on SOCO International's page, to further describe the nature of the company's operations in Vietnam and elsewhere....

Assuming you agree, under 'Operations' -> 'Vietnam' you could add these two factual sentences:

--- "In July 2015, SOCO signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PetroVietnam and SOVICO Holdings for potential exploration and production on Blocks 125-126 (offshore central Vietnam in the Phu Khanh Basin)."

--- "SOCO’s long-term partners since the formal signing of the contracts in 1999 have been PetroVietnam, the national oil company of Vietnam, and PTTEP, the national oil company of Thailand."

Source: Vietnam Government Ministry of Trade website: http://www.moit.gov.vn/en/News/939/minister-tran-tuan-anh-received-a-courtesy-call-from-mr--edward-t--story.aspx

Under 'History' you could add:

"The Company had a year end balance in 2016 of US$104million, after payment of dividends to shareholders, with no debt reported. Capital expenditure for the year was US$82million."

Re: ted Leonard article

I find it interesting all you did was hit Ted Leonard's article... I have 3 here. If Citations are not used how did this article ever get a good article award.... As I mentioned maybe it is time for wiki to get on one page for creating articles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Black. The places you asked for citations in Leonard's article they were already there, now they are there double which does not make sense to me, including now your term so called puffery. I will now assume this above article will be losing it's good article award or be drastically changed to be acceptable. I have found way too many double standards on wiki... just depends whom you are in the article and your importance. I am through. Good LuckT Heart (talk) 20:27, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
I'm sorry I don't understand what you are asking me? Theroadislong (talk) 20:49, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
You stated in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Leonard_(musician) article that we use the words references not citations and that music style and legacy section is puffery... well how come it can then be used in the good article award winner Clint Blacks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Black and its acceptable? Also stated there was an entire area with out references (awards and recognitions section) all the award citations/references are there in the written part (1992–2006 Fathead), but no one decided to check that out. I put back what you removed as it is justified, when it’s removed from this good article award winner: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Black then it can be removed from the other. I have found way too many double standards on wiki... just depends whom you are in the article and your importance.T Heart (talk) 10:46, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
You've lost me I'm afraid, the Clint Black article uses the correct section heading "references" and the section titled "Musical styles and legacy" has 6 references whereas the Leonard articles section had none? Theroadislong (talk) 14:38, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
