Re: Read

[edit]

I'm sorry, but WP:COMMONNAME completely misses the point and has no relevance here. This is not some mere capitalization issue but the integrity of the game's title itself. It's like changing "&" to "and" in the title of an article on a book, with no good reason. Despatche (talk) 19:14, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

from Dariusburst

[edit]

I'm a bad sport and a troll for trying to explain the nature of what you've presented, which has nothing to do with moving articles? You'd rather me stick to just being arbitrary instead of explaining why things are arbitrary to begin with?

I have no idea what offended you, and I'm not sure that I want to know, but please tell me anyway. That aside, I think the case for Dariusburst is over. Unless there's anything else you'd like to add, I'd like to move the page after this is dealt with. Civility is a serious issue, and it shouldn't be impossible. I need help on how to ask for image deletion

[edit]
This image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cover_of_Tobin%27s_Spirit_Guide.jpg#file Is of a book that is not official nor legal. I have no idea after reading countless pages. In short how do you request a image be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Devilmanozzy (talkcontribs)
Hi there. I have taken care of the image deletion nomination for you. Best, -- Dianna (talk) 22:08, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Laura Branigan

[edit]

In the edits you are making regarding the birth day, you seem to be removing (perhaps inadvertently) a lot of other information that does not seem to be controversial. I believe that is why the edits are being reverted. Can you make the edit you believe is necessary to reflect the RfC close without deleting the other information? Thanks, Newyorkbrad (talk) 23:00, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You need to read over the information being deleted. All the references were debunked on the talk page. Please lock the article and get a admin down here. Devilmanozzy (talk) 23:03, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Which references from me has been debunked? Are you really the right man of deciding what is right or wrong? You are mentioned in my research if you are really capable of reading and understand what you read.

You are deleting material which isn't comes from me. You are the driver in this terrible journey of Laura Branigan. In fact, I did some background of you, and honestly, why are you doing this? Is it something you must do to get some satisfaction. I have been in contact with Wikipedia and reported what you are doing. You were not even born to know things which you are deleting. I need to ask you about how you are deciding what is right or wrong. And for god sake, when you are writing Laura was born 1957, you need to read what the rest is saying. How the hell can you write 1957, when you also have Billy's birth year to 1957? I have been in contact with people who knew Laura, and they are laughing at you! "He doesn't seem to know anything, when he write's both Laura and Billy was born 1957. And Brewster, Branigan's never lived in Brewster". That is what people are writing about you! Listen here little gardener...If you write Laura was born 1957, you MUST REWRITE her whole biography and timeline so it suits a birth of 1957. You can't mix 1957 and 1952! Maybe you can in your strange and stupid world, but we who remember Laura, we know the truth. Advice...log out and go back to your garden. Wikipedia and Laura Branigan doesn't need you!--Born53 swe (talk) 16:59, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I havn't spoken to you or even addressed Laura subject in weeks. As for the garden thing... dare I ask why you might know anything about me? Are you stocking me? You are making the subject very personal when it shouldn't be. You seem to be the one that might need a break. Stocking people you have never meet really is a unhealthy activity. If you continue down that road, I will have to seriously report you. Devilmanozzy (talk) 02:04, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Just for your information, I have at last Laura's SSN-card approved September 1970, just before she started at the academy in Manhattan. Born 1952, Manhattan, New York. Of Course you will not have it though you are not trustful or reliable in my opinion. Sadly but true. My own research is more important than your wiki crap. 1957...pfffftt! hahahaha--Born53 swe (talk) 21:27, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Laura Branigan shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Thomas.W talk 04:42, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That means you too. It is already been decided that 1957 is the correct birth date based on references. You have offered nothing to count. I will wait for yet another debate to conclude. I waited on the last one to play out by the rules. You and Born53 swe ‎ were both sent notices on that over a week ago. I don't know how much time you were expecting, but you need to come to grips you had your say in the Consensus yet it was determined not to be the correct action for wikipedia. If you want to work with me and others, instead develop a footnote for the descending opinion on the 1952 date. As for the section that was all based on the questionable research, if you want to fix that, open a debate on it on the talk page. Overall, when the cards were down I tried to get you and Born53 swe to join in and Born53 swe ignored the call and you seem to be ignoring the the Consensus. Note that Born53 swe on April 3rd (two days before the Consensus was reached) posted on the very same talk page ignoring the Consensus debate. What must be done in order to set this article right? Asking for Help

If you need advice about how to resolve a content dispute (or a conduct dispute), ask at the Teahouse. This dispute appears to have to do with Laura Branigan. Robert McClenon (talk) 11:08, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Born53 swe debate on Laura Branigan age

[edit]

For god sake, hold back with your rubbish. I have other things to do and sit at wiki as you have. The problem with you is that you are not interesting in learning about Laura and her early life. I have been accused by you for not being reliable in my research of Laura Branigan. This is from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts own website. Notable alumni who has graduated through the years. Laura Branigan graduated 1972 together with Graham Beckel, Peter Weller, Julia Duffy and Melanie Mayron. https://www.aada.edu/alumni/notable-alumni#decade:1960_1970/orderby:year/display:panel. Is this a fake and manipulated page created by me in photoshop? Is it from the academy's own homepage? Is it a trustful and reliable site from the academy? If not, what is wrong with the site? Can you see any wrongs that the academy has done? If not 1972 is the right, which is the right year? If Laura was born 1957 she would have been with graduations of 1977. Can you see Laura at 1977 alumni? If not, why isn't Laura along with them? If Laura graduated 1972, which year was she born? If you choose 1952, it gives an age of 20 at Laura's graduation. If you instead choose 1957, it will give Laura an age of just 13 when she graduated in 1972. I do understand this will or can be very difficult for you, but I need to know. Is the academy's homepage a fraud, a photoshop fabrication or manipulated by someone, I would recommend you to contact them and ask them to correct their errors. They are very nice chatting with. I have done it, so I know.--Born53 swe (talk) 13:25, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

With the link in question I see they cite Wikipedia for the image and IMDb for her history/bio. Personally, I find it appalling that they didn't use their own records. Looking over the pages other results, it can be seen that whoever did that page didn't go through records to get the information, and instead googled it. Her birthdate was added after September first of 2015, so its recent. At that point both Wikipedia and IMDb had the 1952 birth dates. Considering how massive the school is, I could see the lack of references being missed. Devilmanozzy (talk) 16:14, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I am really tired and didn't understand your answer. This is no longer about wikipedia, IMDb, Billboard, etc. It's between you and me. When I used the academy's homepage in my research I clearly made a great finding in Class of 1972. What is your personally opinion when you see the page Notable Alumni? Do you believe it or not? You only have to answer yes or no to the question. Did Laura Branigan graduate from the academy 1972? Yes or No?

Those "Did Laura" is something you can try to answer. Very simple, yes or no. If yes, good, if no, explain shortly what you find was wrong. And a source to motivate your no. OK, let's begin...You can't answer "I don't know"!!

  • 1 - Did Laura Branigan in 1959 attend at St John's and St Mary's Church in Chappaqua, Westchester County? Yes or No?
  • 2 - Did Laura in spring 1959 had her first holy communion, and added Frances to her name, Laura Ann Frances Branigan? Yes or No?
  • 3 - Did Laura attended Byram Hills High School in Armonk between 1966-1970? Yes or no?
  • 4 - Did Laura graduate from high school in June 21, 1970? Yes or No?
  • 5 - Byram Hills Memorial Scholarship is given annually to a senior for excellence in the Performing Arts. The award is presented in memory of Laura Branigan, BHHS class of 1970. Yes or no?
  • 6 - Did Laura attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Manhattan New York, between 1970-1972? Yes or no?
  • 7 - Was Laura a background singer on Leonard Cohen's 1st tour in Europe, April to July 1976? Yes or no?
  • 8 - Was Laura married to Lawrence "Larry" Ross Kruteck (1936-1996), a lawyer 16 years her senior, in December 8, 1978?
  • 9 - Did Laura in 1969, together with classmates Lisa Podell and Alice Ryerson, made the Stowaway adventure which brought them to England? Yes or no?
  • 10 - If Laura and her classmates did this "Stowaway" in 1969, how old were they? 17 or 12?
  • 11 - Is this page, including the picture from 1954 with the Branigan Family, taken from 8 Brundage Street in Armonk, manipulated or fabricated by me? http://northcastle.advantage-preservation.com/Viewer/?fn=villager_usa_new_york_north_castle_19540311_english_3 Yes or no? If no, motivate your answer with a reliable and a trustful source.
  • 12 - From the picture, is it Laura Branigan who is in mother Kathleen's arms? Yes or no? If no, motivate your answer with a trustful and a reliable source.
  • 13 - Would you agree that Laura Branigan was born in July 3, 1952? Yes or no? If no, motivate with a trustful and reliable source. Note! Laura's official website is NOT reliable, so find another.

Maybe a long list, but it is necessary to know how much you about Laura Branigan, if you are able to find your own sources, or if you are a just simple wiki expert who knows everything inside wikipedia but nothing outside of it?--Born53 swe (talk) 22:28, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's nice, but I'm not going to spend all day researching everyone of those things. But the newspaper would have been useful in the last few arguments on the talk page. It doesn't give her date of birth, but it does suggest her birth before 1954. But 1952? Again, you didn't bring this up where it needed to go a few weeks ago. Why do you argue with such pointless links to modern websites when you had a actual newspaper article like this? If you want to have a good foot in the door in the future, use the newspaper article you just shared with me instead of all that other stuff. This newspaper article is a good start. Find more like this. Also, toss the Page6 non-sense citing and change it to this stronger link. It doesn't prove the birthdate you have right, but it does go against the 1954/1957 dates. On the talk page re-ask for a RfC and only note this newspaper link. If you want a effective argument, make it short and simple. "This newspaper article "The Villager-March 11, 1954" shows Laura and her family in 1954." I motion to start a new RFC with this new research." Don't add anything to it. Devilmanozzy (talk) 03:50, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, I have no time being at wiki as many of you have. I am taking care of my wife 24/7, I am taking care of everything inside and outside our house, we have 3 dogs who needs their long walkings every day, etc. I am not young anymore so I am almost tired 24/7 as well. I don't care about wiki rules and all ridiculous words you have. I had one purpose with my wiki, to give Laura the right wiki as she deserved. Not all those rubbish, craps, you have been involved in with many others. If you want to keep Laura's birth to 1957, it is up to you. Laura's former classmate and former friend at Atlantic Records has both asked me to stop dealing with you. But, I will give you my main source to all my articles about Laura... http://chappaqua.advantage-preservation.com/ or this http://northcastle.advantage-preservation.com/ Note! Chappaqua is the best one. Search of Laura, Laurie, (Laura called herself Laurie all the time until she moved to New York in 1970), branigan, brannigan, brantgan, branlgan, etc. North Castle, if you want to search late 40's or early 50's. Google's archives at https://news.google.com/newspapers?hl=sv Laura' high school http://www.classmates.com/yearbooks/Byram-Hills-High-School/4182766963?page=86 . Etc, etc. There are some more I would give you, not now. Who knows, maybe you will find more stories than I have done. And imagine, maybe, maybe we'll get friends when you understand that this ol' man from Sweden is right about Laura Branigan. I have no problems if you'll need help with your potential findings. Just ask and I will do the best I can. So thumbs up for your research, I am sure you will find it very funny and thrilled when you find Laurie at Chappaqua.--Born53 swe (talk) 21:43, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Can you make a short edit for Laura's older brother James "Jim"? It is said he died in 1991, but 1991 can't be verified any longer. There are several years mentioned, from 1986 to 1991. How and when you edit this is up to you. James, Jr. "Jim" (1945–unknown). As you are so certain that Laura was born in 1957, I think you are the best to edit/handle this information. Thank's for your help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.68.52.214 (talk) 22:23, 13 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
