He had eleven terms as president, but the infobox has only allowed to show ten on the article. Any way to fix this? Therequiembellishere (talk) 04:06, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Either hardcode it or ask the template editors to add another entry? —Nightstallion 18:14, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- What's hardcoding? Therequiembellishere (talk) 02:14, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- Using tags like < br> and '''text''' and so on to make it appear as if the template supported more lines. —Nightstallion 09:07, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- Would you mind doing this? I'l know what to do from then on if you do. The code is there, just not appearing. Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:02, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Afd
I am simply trying to make the process entirely transparent. In any case, I used Twinkle to run the AfD, which automatically notifies the creator - that is hardly influencing a vote, since I'm going to assume the creator would want the article kept. Please keep calm. David Fuchs (talk) 23:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm trying to, but saying that I tried to influence the vote when all I did was notify the most prominent editors is a lie. Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:30, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- First off, I never insinuated that you were trying to influence the vote, but seriously man, think for a second. Do you really believe that A) the most frequent editors are likely to support deletion, and B) that they would miss the big honkin' afd template? David Fuchs (talk) 23:35, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- *sighs* Never mind, then. Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:46, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello wikifriend! Per your request I archived your talkpage to the best of my ability. If you ever need help again, feel free to ask. I hope you will return the favor and contribute to the Heroes peer review section...lol...I know you dont have time, but if you get an extra five minutes during the week, please make your way over. You have made some excellent contributions to the overall Heroes wikiproject and your review is valueable. Hope to see you on the boards! lol Heroes Peer Review--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 04:54, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I asked someone else, but they must have been on WikiBreak. When I saw you archive the Company, I thought, "Score!" Therequiembellishere (talk) 04:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- no problem. I just learned how to archive talkpages yesterday and I already got the hang of it. There is a wikitag or a notice for you to put on the top of your archived talk page that tells users that the discussion on this page is archived and then links to your current talkpage. i am not sure how to add this tag, but you might find some useful info at Help:Archiving a talk page--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 04:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I found it on one of my watched pages. Therequiembellishere (talk) 05:02, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Brethren Court
Could you please create a page with all the Brethren Court code at User:Therequiembellishere/Brethren Court so I can thin out the character sections and move the to the redirected page? Therequiembellishere (talk) 02:49, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, but I'll email it to you. Enable your wp email and validate it and request again. ~Kylu (u|t) 02:56, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Er, I'm not really sure what you mean, sorry. I can give it to you: (redacted by kylu) . Hope this works! Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:02, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll send it, but perhaps we should talk about how to set the email thing... ~Kylu (u|t) 03:05, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Lol, alright. Have people been harassing others? Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:09, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, do you want to be the first to have problems, though? Anywho! Go to special:preferences, fill in your email addy, click save. It'll send you a confirmation email with a link, click that. Now, while anyone could email you something now (as you've made your email public and all, but hopefully they won't dig very well) anyone can mail you from within Wikipedia once that's set by going to special:emailuser/Therequiembellishere ... and they won't know what your email is. Unless you state it publicly or something silly like that... c.c ~Kylu (u|t) 03:19, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Lol. Okay, thank you very much! Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:22, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I did that a while back, but I forgot to enable emails. Oops. Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:25, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sadly, I don't have access to special:userinfo or I'd have been able to figure out the problem earlier, myself. C'est la vie. ~Kylu (u|t) 03:29, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
The importance of Woodstock is that it was the 'family borough' Lord Randolph had been member and from 1832 (when the seat was reconstituted after the Reform Act) till 1876 it was held by either a member of the Churchill family or their nominee. I propose to revert this (perhaps with a note to show its importance) but will await your commentBacknumber1662 (talk) 05:58, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of any significance to the others, if it is absolutely imperative, then sure. However, I feel that a simple place and country should do because if you want to get more specific the smaller division almost always shows the larger division it is part of. Marini
Shouldn't saying that he is the Prime Minister-designate be alright? I've hidden the section on the infobox and the succession box until I get an answer. Please respond in three days or I'll un-hide it. Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:39, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- I would say no, because it's possible that he may never even become PM (that is, if he loses the vote of confidence in Parliament required for him to take office). --Tsk070 (talk) 03:41, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

president/prime minister
Serbia unlike Russia for an example has no connection between the president and the prime minister so it is a mistake to add that information into infobox. It is OK in a pure presidential system where President appoints the PM but it makes no sense in here. --Avala (talk) 18:03, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Changes to "Overview of results"
Don't get too aggressive in altering Results of the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries#Overview of results; it's likely your work will be reverted. A lot of people have been maintaining that table. I removed flags from section headers only after opening a discussion. See Talk:Results of the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries#Section layout. Wdfarmer (talk) 08:58, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Shimon Peres
Why the revert on the Shimon Peres article? Flymeoutofhere (talk) 13:22, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- See Chen-shui bian and Bruce Golding's talks for the two most drawn arguments as of late I've had. Boris Tadic had a problem exactly like this and Avala (I believe that's it) reneged after ignoring my offer to discuss it for quite some time and found that it has become the standard not to show the person's order. Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:11, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- OK - I appreciate that but then what about George Bush for example which is a GA article. Flymeoutofhere (talk) 20:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- As an American, I can say that one of the reasons I am an Anglophile is due to the United States and its stubbornness to use spellings, punctuations, grammar and vocabulary improperly and its peoples' arrogance to think that because they are big, they can have their own way, despite the rest. Canada and Australia also have this problem. Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Your edits to the presidents
- Ordinal numbers are given as words using the same rules as for cardinal numbers. The exception is ordinals for centuries, which are always expressed in figures (the 5th century CE; 19th-century painting). The ordinal suffix (e.g., th) is not superscripted (23rd and 496th, not 23rd and 496th).

Question regarding you recent Edits
Hello! you edited pages of Prime Ministers of Pakistan including Malik Meraj Khalid, Muhammad Mian Soomro ans some others, so I want to ask that do the term numbers written in infobox violates WP:MOS. Thanks! --SMS Talk 05:49, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Bruce Golding and Chen shui-bian's talk pages answer this the best. Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:46, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi. As has already been mentioned by other editors above, please read the Wikipedia:Manual of Style for details regarding linking to years and also using superscripts. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 14:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Pokemon titles?
I made some changes to the Pokemon anime films page to reflect the actual American DVD titles. I think the titles you're showing are the titles for the main feature included in the DVD. This doesn't really help anyone FIND the movies though! Why not use the DVD titles? How about at least including a separate column with the DVD titles? This would allow anyone to go to Amazon, Netflix, etc, and FIND these movies. Thanks, hypert —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hypert (talk • contribs) 04:26, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Raul Castro
Hello There (no pun intended). Raul Castro assumed office on February 24, 2008 (i.e. assumed Presidency). He did not assume office in 2006, he only assumed the powers & duties of the office in an 'Acting' capacity. Simply put (and no offense), your edit version is 'too' confusing & misleading. GoodDay (talk) 16:53, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- It's not, this is how all of the others I've seen do this Vladimir Putin, Thein Sein, Tufuga Efi. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree with that format. But, I've no intentions of 'reverting' again. I'll let others decide if it's confusing or not. GoodDay (talk) 19:40, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- PS- You didn't have to plead with me to stop reverting your edits. I wasn't gonna edit-war over it. GoodDay (talk) 01:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- What do you mean? Therequiembellishere (talk) 01:18, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Your 'edit summary' "Please stop, this isn't westernisation, this is his title...". Nothing serious. GoodDay (talk) 14:52, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- That was actually toward Dojarca. Therequiembellishere (talk) 18:23, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okie Dokie. GoodDay (talk) 18:25, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Well I am not as easily put off by constant reversions as some others. The box is titled "President of Cuba". On what date did Raul Castro become President of Cuba? On 24 February 2008. This seems very elementary to me. The fact that he was acting president from September 2006 should be noted, and it is noted. But he did not become President then. Fidel Castro was President then, and remained so until 24 February 2008. If you persist in reverting to the erroneous date I will take whatever steps are open to me to have you desist. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 11:20, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Therequiembellishere. The 'July 31, 2006' dates is mis-leading & confusing. I'm in agreement with Intel Mr Toad. PS- Vladimir Putin should be fixed aswell. GoodDay (talk) 15:53, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- PS- I've fixed up the Putin page, to correctly show he took office as Russian President on May 7, 2000. GoodDay (talk) 16:01, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
How many edits I've made is immaterial. (Actually I've made many thousands of edits since 2003, under other names.) What is material is that you persist in reverting to a version of this article which is clearly false (stating that Raul Castro became President of Cuba in 2006), and have refused to respond to the efforts made above by me and GoodDay to discuss this matter with you. I will not revert you again today, since I don't wish to be blocked under the 3R rule, but I will revert you tomorrow if no-one else does so first. In the meantime I am refering your behaviour to an administrator. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 05:12, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Kahana Crew edit on LOST article
I noticed you undid my edit to the section. Why is it "pointless, ridiculous and not alphabetical"? Every other list is listed in alphabetical order by first name. I don't see what the problem was. 69.255.193.198 (talk) 16:22, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi. You undid my change as original research. Georges lists ringor as "to tease" for Terence, Horace and Seneca. So I don't really see why that is original research. Also I don't understand what you mean with "not in the spell". Of course, the present stem is "not in the spell". --Seegurke (talk) 17:44, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- For you to use a term, it should be related to the word. Hopefully, we can find a verifiable source fore its root, which we have. Order of Prime Ministers and Presidents
Hello! I recommend you adding a hidden comment from not adding the order of Prime Minister or President in the infoboxes. --SMS Talk 20:15, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not following you, what d'you mean? Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:18, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have seen you removing the order of Prime Minister of Pakistan from the infoboxes of many articles of PMs more than once, but someone again added these order. So, I was suggesting if you add a hidden comment like this in the infoboxes <!-- PLZ! DON'T ADD ORDER OF PRIME MINISTER SHIP, IT VIOLATES WP:MOS --> or something like that. --SMS Talk 20:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. I did that with Yousaf Raza Gillani, but forgot about WP:MOS! I'll add it to him and Musharraf right away. I contacted the person who has continually added it as well. Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:26, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
As in Amadou Toumani Touré, you inserted !-- Please do not add his order, it is against WP:MOS, unused and clutter --. This may be reasonable (I could easily be convinced), but
- There is no mention of this in WP:MOS,
- Template:Infobox Officeholder/example specifically instructs people to include this information.
Please check this out, and a see if
- there is a concensus for what you're instructing people to do
- there is some policy which, unlike WP:MOS, you can direct people to which explains the problem.
all the best, T L Miles (talk) 01:15, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, SRS is the person that told me it didn't follow MOS, I guess I should have looked myself. We never got to a consensus, but it is, for the most part, the standard. Therequiembellishere (talk) 01:45, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

It's gone a tad beyond a content dispute on the talk page and my user pages, but how do I warn it/him/her/them sufficiently? Therequiembellishere (talk) 05:01, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, well, the reverting of their edit may have irritated them to the extent that they vandalised your user pages, I've had it happen to me as well. I wouldn't label their edit to the article as vandalism, however the edits to your userspace were. You can warn users by using these templates, but I woulnd't recommend you mark their article edits as vandalism, unless they become clearly vandalistic. I've warned each user, and if it continues, re-report. I'd suggest maybe post on WP:ANI. Steve Crossin (talk to me) 05:05, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Look at McAleese's history now. Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't have bothered adding it myself, but I don't really object to the order number for the Presidents; the office has not changed title, and we don't have the problem of non-consecutive terms which makes the numbers such a bad idea with Taoisigh. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:55, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, BHG, I'm glad you agree with me for once! This is nothing like the President of the Executice Council/Taoiseach debate, it was a completely new office. Btw, *I* didn't add the order no to the Presidents of Ireland infoboxes but since De Valera through Robinson have them, McAleese's infobox should be consistent with the other articles in the series. You know it makes sense!
- On a related note, this article List of Taoisigh by important facts should really mention W. T. Cosgrave, at least in passing. Snappy56 (talk) 03:26, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
no adoption
I read the Bertie Ahern talk page and I think you have double standards on Wiki. Also, you spent all your time denying Kosovo's rightly earned place on the first list on the List of Rcognized State Leaders, then you did a complete U-turn (very un-Thatcherite!) and added Kosovo to the list. Please amend your ways or else I will stop being your adoptee and find someone less militant. Georgereev118118 (talk) 14:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

- No, I specifically said that once it had sufficient recognition, it would be added. I didn't respond because it didn't show anything and thought your computer had an error. If you've actually read the Ahearn page, you'll see exactly why the Canadian, Australian and American pages are the way they are: because the majority of them are stubborn and that's the simple truth. If I could constantly take the orders away I would but I'd get blocked because of that. Therequiembellishere (talk) 17:14, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

UK Deputy PM
You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable people on the UK's government, so I think I'll go to you! Nobody has responded on Brown's page on who his deputy is. I've narrowed it to Harriet Harman because of the deputy position in Commons, Alister Darling because (from my point of view) he seems to be the next most powerful minister and Jack Straw because of his new, prestigious positions and how most of us thought he was actually given the Deputy PM and First Secretary of State position. Therequiembellishere (talk) 18:14, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- There is currently no Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom - there's no constitutional requirement for one. Harriet Harman is the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and would become Acting Leader if anything were to happen to Gordon Brown. Technically it would be up to the Queen as to who would become PM, but she'd probably call for Harman. Hope this answers your question. --Philip Stevens (talk) 19:55, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Do you think it'd be alright if I put her up in the deputy section of his infobox? Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry to interrupt, but we could not put anyone in the deputy section — as Mr Stevens noted, there are reasons for Harman to be named as such, but equally, as you said, Darling is the Second Lord and Chancellor is without exception the second most powerful minister (even above the DPM when there is one)... It's just too nuanced to be expressed as "deputy is X" DBD 20:48, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well what if I put her in as deputy ad interim? That is effectively what she is. And if a DPM is ever chosen, would it be appropriate to place them there at all then? Tehy don't really have power and they don't necessarily take control either, right? Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:58, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Abbas party
You're claiming Abbas is a member of VIVA-RNDP without citation. You must have a citation if you want to add that, and I find it unlikely that Deby would name a PM from that party when he just fired the party's leader from that same job. Everyking (talk) 03:24, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Ahern/Cowen help
The IP (this time as 194.46.235.142) deleted the presidents again, and with the change, I can't watch the two at once. Could you please have the lot blocked? Therequiembellishere (talk) 01:47, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi there, I am not sure how/why you thought I was an administrator - I am only a rollbacker and I can't block an IP range. --Cahk (talk) 05:21, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, just thought you were. What should the appropriate action be? I wasn't successful the last time I tried because I hadn't sufficiently warned them. Therequiembellishere (talk) 18:48, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- The only way to get them blocked is through warning 1-4. After that, the IP range will usually be blocked for 1 day/31 hours (beware of edit wars though - as you might be the one who will be blocked)--Cahk (talk) 19:38, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
11th Taoiseach
I notice you edited out my insertion of the sequence number of Brian Cowen as 11th Taoiseach. Mr. Cowen is the 11th Taoiseach. While the number is never used in referring to the office holder it does indicate the number of office holders. The number is used in the articles referring to pervious holders of the office. I appreciate that you are only trying to be correct. I feel however that in the spirit of being an encyclopedia it is ipmortant to insert the number. For example most of the world knows that George Bush is the 43rd President of the United States in the same spirit a reader should know that Brian Cowen is the 11th Taoiseach of Ireland. Just a point please understand I'm not trying to be picky or narky! Rigger30 (talk) 19:24, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's all right! I've been a bit testy lately. Please see the talk page of Bertie Ahern. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:34, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again,
- I looked at the discussion on Bertie Ahern and I have to suggest that in general discussion it might be better to acknowledge that Mr. Cowen is the 12th Head of Government but to list him in the infobox as the 11th Taoiseach as he is the 11th person to hold the title. All the articles on previous Taoisigh list their number. Also to follow the line of argument logically Mary Mc Aleese would not be the 8th President of Ireland because there were a number of Governors General during the time of Saorstát Éireann. Just a point! Rigger30 (talk) 18:09, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
removing titles in EIIR and Beatrix
Hi.. not sure why you're removing titles of issue for EIIR and Beatrix, but it doesn't seem appropriate. Can you provide a reason for doing so? PrinceOfCanada (talk) 04:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- My rationale is that they're looking for the person's name, not tile. With all the titles in, it tends to crowd the infobox, too. Therequiembellishere (talk) 04:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting rationale, but still.. they do have the titles, and since having the name + title still includes the name, I don't think it makes sense. I'll be keeping the titles in. PrinceOfCanada (talk) 04:25, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- And we're at 3RR. Please provide a verifiable reason for making the change. PrinceOfCanada (talk) 04:28, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Infoboxes
You've got to be more careful about what you put in infoboxes. You had Lansana Kouyaté as a member of the ruling party! Do you put those kinds of things just as placeholders? If you don't know a person's political party (Kouyaté isn't a member of one), please, just leave it blank. Everyking (talk) 08:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
EII succession boxes
I'm confused about the dates in the succession box issue. I've seen other pages with succession boxes that include full dates. I've also seen articles where some boxes have full dates and some have just years (e.g., Tony Blair). What's wrong with doing it on EII's page? -Rrius (talk) 12:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- They really shouldn't be, that's not how they're set up and the majority of what I see don't have full dates. Therequiembellishere (talk) 12:05, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm still a little in the dark. Are you saying succession boxes weren't designed to handle full dates? Or is it an MoS thing? -Rrius (talk) 12:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'll say MOS, but I'm not sure. They put a lot of information in such a small place that should be in specific articles instead. There's a reason that the section is "years". Therequiembellishere (talk) 12:11, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Union of South American Nations
Why was it removed? The oldest on the then list was the headline, "The International Court of Justice awards Pedra Branca to Singapore and Middle Rocks to Malaysia, ending a 29-year territorial dispute between the two countries," and after that, "Dima Bilan wins the Eurovision Song Contest for Russia with "Believe"." The USAN was certainly more important than the two as well. Could you put it back up? Therequiembellishere (talk) 14:54, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

The candidate qualifies under the last agreed regime. We have no party standards, and the party may well be a figment of his imagination. Please restore the candidate somewhere, either independant or with a non-linked party name. See the template talk page. -- Yellowdesk (talk) 16:42, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Since you disagree, you are invited to state the details of your views on the template talk page, and propose an overall comprehensive standard that would handle your view, so that others might align with your views. I am not particularly sympathetic to individuals that don't raise a million dollars, and parties that cannot obtain 5,000 votes. Until others agree with my and your views, the standard previously agreed for the template stands, no matter how annoying the candidate. -- Yellowdesk (talk) 21:54, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Haven't I? Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:32, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- The views have been stated, but no actionable proposal for people to discuss and agree to, as an amendment to the current standards that could be applied to all candidates, whether active or inactive. A method to assess all the names, with a means for all to agree that any one candidate is or is not within the bounds of the standard. -- Yellowdesk (talk) 02:44, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- The criteria are silent on running mates. If you desire to change the standard, propose an amendment that all may comment and agree to. Bowles qualifies according to that standard. Kindly re-instate Bowles.

Gordon Brown
Please stop your disruptive edits to Gordon Brown. It is clear that Harmon is not the Deputy Prime Minister. Edit warring to introduce incorrect facts into articles is clear vandalism and can result in you being blocked. Thanks, Gwernol 13:08, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see how it is clear that she is not DPM. I'm not saying she is officially in the post, I'm saying that she is his right hand. HOw else to you say that but an acting note? When he's gone, she does PM Questions and if he dies, she become acting PM. Unless and until he formally names someone DPM, she de facto is. Therequiembellishere (talk) 13:11, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- The infobox field is for the person whose official title is Deputy Prime Minister. Its not for someone you describe as "his right hand". When she is given the official title of DPM she can be listed there. The consensus on the talk page is pretty clear. Please don't edit war to impose your view against consensus. Thanks, Gwernol 13:14, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but if we never including acting officeholders, we'd have a lot of blank and false sections on our boxes. David Paterson has the same thing, albeit in a less constructive way than it once was. Therequiembellishere (talk) 13:23, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- As I said, consensus on the talk page is against you and the purpose of the field is to list to official DPM. Her role is already described in the Harriet Harman article. Gwernol 13:30, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Israeli presidents
For info, acting presidents are not presidents, and should not be included in succession boxes and the like. Cheers, пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:20, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- And why not? It's nothing more than leaving out information by that logic. Why aren't they needed? The very fact of their provisional state does not rule out the fact that they were in the post. As long as they have been noted as acting, there shouldn't be a problem. Therequiembellishere (talk) 13:24, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Every time a president goes abroad the Knesset Speaker becomes the acting president. Therefore when Dalia Itzik went abroad, Majalli Wahabi was also temporarily president. If we included them all, it would look ridiculous. пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:29, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- But they aren't part of the problem; I'm only including those specified as Acting Presidents at the end of the others' term. Therequiembellishere (talk) 13:34, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Which would count as WP:OR as it's not for you to determine which acting presidents we include and which ones we don't. None of them should be included as they were not presidents; they didn't live or work at the president's residence fior one thing. If you still don't agree, take it to WP:ISRAEL for some more input. пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:36, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Not at all. Rulers.org and our very own list shows only those men and woman as acting presidents, not the rest. Therequiembellishere (talk) 13:41, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Our own list does not show them. They've been removed from it several times. What it merely includes are footnotes noting that the presidents died or left office before the end of their terms and the speaker covered for them. пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:42, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Notes, exactly. Notes are what I'm trying to show. I'm not saying that they were president, I'm saying that they were acting president and I've tried to show that as clearly as possible. To leave them out would be to pretend they were never acting presidents, which cannot be done. Other templates show their acting heads, why should Israel be any different? Therequiembellishere (talk) 13:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps it should be that the other countries don't display their temporary heads. Anyway, you're not going to change my mind, and it doesn't look like you'll change yours, so bring it up on WT:ISRAEL. пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:02, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Rulers.org is calling him the "Chairman of the High Council of State" and this French Mauritanian Agency of Information literally translates the title as "President of the High Council of State" but both "president" and "chairman" translate into "président". Which do we use? Therequiembellishere (talk) 04:51, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- Either is fine, but I think it's simpler to translate as "president". Everyking (talk) 05:03, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- I wish there was another word for chairman. Do you think president shows that it's a council as well? Our only other example is Than Shwe, who uses Chairman. Therequiembellishere (talk) 05:11, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's normal to refer to the president of a council, although chairman is often used instead. I don't know if in a specific instance like this one translation would be widely accepted as better. Everyking (talk) 05:29, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

An idea is brought up, it is boldly implemented and then discussed. That is how wikipedia works.--William Saturn (talk) 04:08, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't questioning your ability to use Wikipedia, nor your knowledge of it. However, what you did was far more than what you brought up and the way I've seen Wikipedia going, as of late, we discuss major changes befroe implementing them to avoid edit wars and arguments. I don't think adding a note will help too much. Maybe semi protecting? ~QuasiAbstract {talk/contrib} 07:33, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- It would probably be best. I just didn't want to go to that first. Give them a bit of a chance. Therequiembellishere (talk) 07:35, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think 10+ reverts and explanations by several editors was their chance. I'm pretty sure it's been done by the same person. Most of it has, anyway. ~QuasiAbstract {talk/contrib} 07:37, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, you're probably right there. I don't have the greatest follow-through right now to work on other articles and ask for a semi-protection, so if you could that's be great. Therequiembellishere (talk) 07:46, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Nepal Prime Minister, Birthplace
I'm afraid your latest edit also removed my infobox. I wish the vandalism hadn't gotten in the way and I've added it back in, but next time, could you look through the other edits to make sure you haven't gotten rid of those which aren't meant as vandalism? Therequiembellishere (talk) 01:01, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Therequiembellishere, I used the "compare" feature to examine your edit to Prachanda yesterday and it appeared to show you deleted substantial amounts of key new text and a new reference. These included the text that the subject is prime minister and where he was born. It would have been somewhat more difficult to separate out and copy-paste anything of merit that you also did in the edit, especially since there were other intervening edits to deal with to repair the damage, such as the link to a new foreign language entry (which I *did* separate out and copy-paste). I didn't notice your infobox work among all the other red showing in the edit. I would have been more careful if you had commented your edit. I would recommend you comment your edits, because it makes it easier for other editors to understand what you are doing. DanielM (talk) 12:29, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Alright, it's okay now. Everything's back. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:06, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Requiem. Do you know who I am? I know you do (and I'm not talking about when I asked you to be my friend). --WeezleBeezle (talk) 20:56, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

- No, I can't tell you. --WeezleBeezle (talk) 20:29, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Acting presidents.
Re [9]. Every time the South African president leaves the country (and Mbeki was often criticized for all the times he went abroad), someone becomes acting president. Off the top of my head this includes Buthelezi (like User:Zaian pointed out in the history log), Mlambo-Ngcuka, Manuel, Zuma, Skweyiya, Matsepe-Casaburri... This is not what the president infobox is for, and it's too trivial on its own to be mentioned in someone's encyclopedia biography. See also #Israeli presidents. -- Jeandré, 2008-09-26t10:07z

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Wikipedia. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. - Which page was this? Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:41, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
I haven't seen any pages prescribing a specific portfolio to Lord Drayson other than "Minister of State, Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills" other than a single page of the BBC which referred to him as "Minister of Universities and Skills", which I've been using. Could you name the source which gave the "Minister of Science" title? Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:52, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- I found the appointment in a list of recent ministerial appointments from the Guardian both online and from the actual printed newspaper. But I have discovered there is a BBC News Article on Paul Drayson's appointment following the Ministerial Reshuffle of Brown's government and here is the link: [10]. So I would presume my edit is correct and so stands. --PoliceChief (talk) 20:23, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
UK Cabinet list
I have corrected the order again. There is no official order, but there is a conventional way of ordering them - with the four great offices of state first, then the Lord Chancellor, then the Lord President, then the Lord Privy Seal, then the Secretaries of State in alphabetical order by department, then the other offices (Minister Without Portfolio, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, etc.). Unless you can come up with a good reason for Wikipedia not to follow convention, then stick to this order. You certainly cannot simply order them according to how important you personally believe each member is. -- 92.12.59.194 (talk) 15:05, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'm ordering them how 10 Downing Street orders them. If you have a source that says how to order them, then provide it and I'll accept. Therequiembellishere (talk) 17:28, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'd like a source by this Friday, the 24th. Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:54, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Eric Doyle's power
Hey, for Eric Doyle, you changed his power name and gave the assignment tracker as a source. However, a password is needed in order to access the file. Can you please add the password into the reference tag? Thanks. Ophois (talk) 04:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, if you can't add the password to verify the reference, then I'm gonna have to remove it. Ophois (talk) 03:54, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Userboxes
Hey, Requiem, help me out. I need some userboxes for the following. Think you can help? :
1. This user is Pentecostal (Christianity, but not Catholic)
2. This user likes Christian Radio
3. This user likes Jars of Clay
4. This user likes Relient K
5. This user watches Nickelodeon
6. This user watches Cartoon Network
7. This user likes the Bears
8. This user gets homesick
9. This user reads Get Fuzzy
If such exist, post them on my talk page. I'll do the rest. --WeezleBeezle (talk) 20:17, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
P.S. If you can, mess with my user page so my userboxes are arranged like yours are. --WeezleBeezle (talk) 20:27, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Peers
Why do we put PC, when they're all PCs? And our source doesn't use "The", so why do we? Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:56, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
In case something is said about Rt Hon, I'd say the justification for leaving those is that someone can be part of Cabinet without taking the title initially, but upon being sworn-in to Cabinet, they immediately take the PC suffix. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:57, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Right. Not everyone on the Cabinet/attending Cabinet (i.e. those lists Brown Ministry and Current cabinet) is on the Privy Council. Therefore we use "The Rt Hon" (which by the way is The Rt Hon) for commoners (and for peers who have it anyway), and "PC" for peers, so you can see which are counsellors. On the list of current members of the British Privy Council, we use neither because one can absolutely guarantee that they all are counsellors, but on these lists, we cannot. Therefore we use full styles. Which means it's "The Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP" and "The Rt Hon The Lord Mandelson PC". Either that or we go to "Gordon Brown" and "Lord (or even Peter) Mandelson". It's either formal or it's informal. You see my argument? DBD 21:29, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I see. Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:07, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Heroes Wiki
So I was looking through some of my earliest contributions to Wikipedia, and I found that I made an edit on March 27th, 2006 to the page User:Therequiembellishere/Non-canonical spells in Harry Potter. Two years ago, that name was of no meaning to me, but now I know... you're the same Therequiembellishere from Heroes wiki, aren't you? xD Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Haha, yes. That's why I tend to be not be on Heroeswiki right after episodes because I try and organise things here, too. Therequiembellishere (talk) 00:01, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- And what are the odds that two, separate people would come up with this name? xD Therequiembellishere (talk) 00:02, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Template:GW Bush cabinet
The group sections in the template aren't able to hole all 21 members, it omits the Trade Representative. As the Obama presidency comes in, I'd like a new template to be ready. Do you know how to stretch it just one more? Therequiembellishere (talk) 18:24, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'll take a look.. [ roux ] [x] 18:26, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, it's been annoying me for some time now. Therequiembellishere (talk) 18:28, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay... I've made two stabs at it here. Obviously in the second version 'Barack Obama' everywhere will be replaced by the current officeholder. Shouldn't National Security Advisor also be on that list? Or is that not an actual Cabinet post? [ roux ] [x] 18:58, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- I like the first one because it shows the office and it's holder, which matches the other templates (they would have to be updated to the new formatting). Attorney General would be moved to the secretary section because it's equal to them, though. And I know that National Security Adviser isn't a Cabinet post but close to it. White House Press Secretary is another. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:03, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Check now.. [ roux ] [x] 19:11, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Pretty good. Just for looks, I don't suppose there's a way for the sections to have the same length? Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:14, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Let me try something re:width. [ roux ] [x] 19:16, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Looking like a 'no' on width so far... I'm guessing the underlying code ignores the width: attribute in the CSS for group style. [ roux ] [x] 19:33, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, well thanks. It looks great! I'll go implement it into the other templates. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:39, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- No problem, happy to help! [ roux ] [x] 19:55, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
George W. Bush
I removed Dubya from the template for reasons explained in the Talk page. I'd appreciate some kind of rationale on that page before unilaterally reverting my edit. I've removed POTUS again and don't want to get into an edit war over something as minor as that; given that the whole template will be revamped in two months … but precedent should certainly be set. So please discuss it on the Talk page before reverting my edit again. Thanks! –MicahBrwn (talk) 19:51, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Edit-warring on Template:Obama cabinet
You've been edit-warring on Template:Obama cabinet and have already reverted three times in less than 24 hours. You already know about the three-revert rule. The rule is not a license to revert three times in a 24-hour period, but is an electric fence meant to stop the most egregious edit-wars. The problem is not reverting more than three-times, but edit-warring, so please don't edit-war. To avoid it, simply don't revert, but discuss the dispute as civilly as possible on the talk page. Involve other editors via a third opinion or request for comments and try to find a consensus. Since this is a low-traffic template, I've simply protected it for the duration of the dispute, which I hope will be brief. I will attempt to mediate (as time allows) on the talk page.--chaser - t 02:15, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Kubilius
I trust your judgment, but where does your source say he's taking office on 27 November? I can't find it. Therequiembellishere (talk) 16:46, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- It says something like "the parliament will vote on him on Thursday", which is 27 November; the approval vote is the time when he takes office. —Nightstallion 16:49, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I was looking specifically for "27 November". Thanks. Therequiembellishere (talk) 17:14, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- I just re-read it and it says, "The Seimas intends to vote for Kubilius' candidacy for the post of prime minister on Thursday. The 15th Government will start working after the Seimas approves the programme of the Government and ministers will make an oath." It sounds like the Thursday vote officially designates him Prime Minister, but his term doesn't being until they green light his Cabinet and swear him in. The headline itself only say the president has nominated him, not that he's the designate yet. This sounds like the similar problem with Barack Obama in that he is the "president-designate" until 12 December when the Electoral College formally vote and he becomes the "president-elect". Therequiembellishere (talk) 17:18, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- AFAIK, it's the same as in Slovenia, Haiti and many other countries -- parliament first votes on the PM, who immediately takes office upon being approved in parliament, then the PM has two weeks to get his government together, which is approved in a separate, second vote... PM-designate is not an official title or designation in many countries, so the presence or absence of those words needn't mean anything. —Nightstallion 08:02, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Aguamenti POV
POV? Surely, as much as the former one, deriving the aguamenti from aqua + mention (meaning reference, to speak about something), where is the source for this nonsense? Referencing the water? Is this the real meaning of Aguamenti spell? ROTFL. The current version gives us a footnote: D P. Cassell's Latin Dictionary. New York, New York: Wiley Publishing, Inc., 1968. But the question is not about the etimology of mention here (everyone knows, where mention comes from), the question is the suggested etimology of Aguamenti spell. This dictionary-reference is totally useless here, if the dictionary is not a Harry Potter Dictionary with verifiable sources (Cassell's work is certainly not a HP-dictionary, is it? ;). POV? The current version is surely POV, without any source, and not a clever one. The possible aqua + augmentum (water + increase) etimology have some meaning at least, and is linguistically correct. Have a nice day. ;) Bennó (talk) 22:03, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Guinea
Wasn't Aboubacar Somparé Acting President for a few hours before the coup occurred? —Nightstallion 09:58, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, never mind -- according to AFP, the Supreme Court never got to declare the presidency vacant, so Somparé wasn't acting pres. —Nightstallion 11:21, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was just as confused. Everyking basically showed me. Now I wonder if this is a good or bad occurrence... Therequiembellishere (talk) 18:04, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- I'm just as unsure. It can't get much worse after Conté, that's certain, but whether it will actually get better and whether we will see free elections... Somehow, I doubt it, but in the last years, UN, EU, USA and regional organisations like ECOWAS have stepped up their efforts to get their feet in the door whenever a dictator dies or is deposed (Togo, for instance), so maybe we'll see a change for the better, after all... —Nightstallion 19:21, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
