Vandalising Anon

Anon User:68.100.58.176 put up vandalism on the Characters of the Bartimaeus trilogy page, but was not blocked. It appears to be their only edit, and I was hoping you could keep it that way. Therequiembellishere 06:02, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi. We tend to block only repeat offenders, rather than blocking for only single instances of vandalism. This makes our lives easier as some people decide to start making useful contributions after vandalising and being warned, and we have to deal with many more unblock requests – Gurch 06:05, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
O, okay, thanks. I'm not too active here so I don't know all of our rules.Therequiembellishere 06:07, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

KH minor characters

In the List of characters in the Kingdom Hearts series page, you eliminated several of the characters I added; yes they were barely in the games, but since this is an encyclopedia, would it be fine to keep them? Therequiembellishere 07:03, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

One of the criticisms of the article when I was improving it was that I was including every single character in the Jiminy Journal, even the stupid throwaway characters. In the end, I removed them because they really only broke up the flow of the article. You've taken hopelessly minor to another level, including the Mad Hatter and Rabbit, who only appeared in a picture frame and the like. That is why I removed them. Axem Titanium 20:02, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I know wikipedia isn't meant for all information, but it kinda bugs me that only some characters on on the page, and there are more that are also minor still on it. Therequiembellishere 21:21, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Blanking of User:Zimtheinva5er

Hello and welcome. I noted on the above you blanked the users main page as you accidentally applied the vandalism warning there. We really appreciate the anti-vandalism work you are doing, but if you make an edit please use the comment box to describe your actions. I went chasing thinking you were vandalsing another user's talk page!! Once again, thank you for your vandalism fighting. Keep it up!Pedro |  Talk  21:03, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

I realised when I saved that I placed it in the wrong area.Therequiembellishere 21:18, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Susie and Ned

What the Hell are you talking about?Therequiembellishere 20:12, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Would you watch Ned's Declassified If Susie was not on the show? Why or why not? Dani preteen11 03:00, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Frankly, I don't care, and please try to make new edits more visible. See my page's history to see the change. Therequiembellishere 03:15, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Professors

You've re-added the "current" Professors to the Past heading, why? And the reason I removed current from the page was because they're not really current, Flitwick could die at any time considering it has only gone up to June 1997. Therequiembellishere 05:03, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

It's more important to show an accurate representation of the canon as it stands than to write 'in case someone dies' - which is crystalballing. If Professor Flitwick does die, we can rewrite all relevant articles to show that, but there is no need to orientate the articles around a hypothetical possibility that he might. Michael Sanders 12:57, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

I didn't change the chart as an act of vandalism, I do mention my reason for cutting down the list as well. Therequiembellishere 19:56, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

I am sorry, I wasn't reverting your vandalism (it is not vandalism indeed), I was reverting an anonymous IP vandalism that edited just before you. It was unfortunate, sorry. Can you add back your edits? Thanks. --giandrea 20:08, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Except you should not remove the EU from the article. Please, see the consensus on the talk page. --giandrea 23:10, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
It's not a problem and thank you! Therequiembellishere 20:38, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Redirection of Brethren Court

The section here has 5 keeps and 3 redirects; the original articles was, however, redirected. the new Brethren Court page was made after the film came out, rife with new information and yet, you again redirected the page. Please do not do this. And yes, I realise your status, but this does not excuse you from going against the vote. Therequiembellishere 20:52, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Despite appearances, AfD closures are not arrived by through a simple tabulation of votes. Creating a new article to go around an AfD closure is not the right way to go about things - creating a near-duplicate which does not address any of the sourcing and notability concerns is definitely not the right way to go about things. I sympathize with your position, but Wikipedia (again, despite appearances) is not designed to function as fansite. There are other venues for entertaining exhaustively detailed character/plot summaries, here's a PotC Wiki. Think about it: the Brethren Court article was based entirely on speculation, it lacked any assertion of importance outside of the realm of a movie. And no, I don't have any special status on Wikipedia (adminship is more of a janitorial function), but I have some experience and a thorough knowledge of the guidelines. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 21:23, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Please don't add your own personal speculation to articles without specific sources for your claims. Corvus cornix 03:07, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Where? Therequiembellishere 03:08, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
"He seems to have a deep respect" is not sourced. Corvus cornix 03:11, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh, well, that's not speculation, it's from the official website. I don't get why people keep removing it, we never decided on the talk page to, Locke just gave the source so that means "even I have a source, I'll delete it"? I don't think so. Therequiembellishere 03:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Source it or it goes. The whole page is nonsense. Corvus cornix 03:12, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Chevalle says something like, "Sumbhajee's wisdom runs deep like the Kraken" and Ching says something like, "the Frenchman has given you his piece, then so will I" and Jocard says something like, "Ching gave you her piece? Well I can't go against the Missus--I mean Mistress", etc. etc. Therequiembellishere 03:13, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Alright, but I've never sourced anything (shame upon me, I know) so how do I? Therequiembellishere 03:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Read WP:WEASEL. Corvus cornix 03:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
You can source things as per WP:REF, or by putting a link to the source in [] behind the line which is being sourced. Corvus cornix 03:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay . . . which of them are weasel words?Therequiembellishere 03:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Brethren of the Coast

{Also posted as a reply on my talk page, putting it here as well to make sure you see it) Actually, you already have access. Click on Brethren of the Coast. It will redirect you, as you would expect, but look close under the title of the page it redirects you to: there will be, in small print, the words "redirect from Brethren of the Coast", with the last part in blue. Click on that and it will take you back to the redirect page, Brethren of the Coast, without actually redirecting you. You can then click on the history link at the top of the screen and see the complete history. It looks like it goes back quite a ways. Let me know if you have any other questions. AKRadecki 04:03, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

No, it just redirects to Brethren Court, the original page was named Brethren of the Coast, which was deleted. Someone mentioned in the history logs (for some reason they neglected to use the talk page) a website where much of the information on the current page is; I need to access the history logs to find the website and source much of the material for the current page, as others are ready to delete it because it lacks sources and they think it's mostly speculation and original research. If you could give me access, I'd be ecstatic and indebted to you (I tried in vain to save to former page and now, I'm not sure if I can save this one). Many thanks--Therequiembellishere 02:10, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Brethren Coast

Again, not to seem rude, but for an inclusionist, you seem highly anxious to get rid of the Brethren Coast. Why not help us make it up to the standards of a good (not the award, but the relative) article? Therequiembellishere 21:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

In case you didn't see this on my talk page: First off, thank your for your politeness - not many people bother to be polite anymore - thank you for your consideration. Secondly, very good question. As you may have noticed my official 'vote' was Strong Merge or Strong Redirect. I don't want the information deleted, but I'm not convinced it needs its own page. Sometimes it seems like Wikipedia covers fictional characters, events, locations, ideas, etc. more than it covers history and the world in which we actually live. Because of the historical existence of a loose organization of pirates in the Caribbean called the Brethren, I hate to see the real world topic confused with and obscured by a scene from a Disney film. Perhaps if we changed the title of the page to Brethren of the Coast (Pirates of the Caribbean) I would be happy. If you want me to elaborate more on this, please just let me know. Bradybd 05:35, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
I think you should mention on the talk page a move to Brethren Court (Pirates of the Caribbean) or Brethren of the Coast (Pirates of the Caribbean), it's a great idea. Therequiembellishere 19:51, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Your screen/display resolution?

I noticed that you resized the images on List of minor characters in Pirates of the Caribbean article. Were the images (sized 200px) too big for your screen? - Davtra 08:45, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Actually, yes, I'm assuming that they're not like that on everyone's monitors. I apologise, you can fix them. Therequiembellishere 17:42, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from an article. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Owen× 00:56, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Blocking

Anon 76.190.142.57 just vandalised the Harry Potter (character) page. Therequiembellishere 20:48, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Heya, I'm not admin and therefore can't block anyone. I recommend reverting vandalism and warning the offender up to 3 times, and then reporting them as per Wp:aiv after final warning. Good luck! -Superbeecat 20:54, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't see how I wrecked it, it is much smaller this way and if you would like to add distinctions like differing title, fine, but don't undo the edit because it looks so awful with that font and the size is erroneous. Therequiembellishere 06:00, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

OK, I suppose "wreck" was too harsh a term and I'm sorry I used it. However, the point remains that I'd like those distinctions kept, and if it's all right with you (which you said it is) I'll soon be re-adding them while preserving your format.
Okay, and thank you, I was rather harsh on my own. Therequiembellishere 06:21, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Let me make two further suggestions as you go through the templates: 1. One big flag if the flag's never changed; little flags only if it has. Flags aren't strictly necessary anyway, but this way we maintain some clarity, plus an excess of flags can look unappealing. 2. "[[Heads of state of X]] since XXXX" rather than "[[Heads of state of X since XXXX]]", because the linked list may refer to the former and not necessarily the latter. Biruitorul 06:20, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Templates

When you change templates, remember to put <noinclude> before the listing of categories which include templates (like Category:Navigational templates) and </noinclude> afterwards. If you don't, it puts non-template articles into the template categories. Honestly, it creates a complete mess. So please be careful. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 10:55, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

This is an example of what I mean. The changes you made are excellent but you gotta keep the noincludes in there. I fixed all of them that I could find. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 11:01, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh, God, I'm sorry. I thought they they tags kept them out of the template. I'll be aware of this. Therequiembellishere 22:38, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Sorry. I think I made it sound like a bigger deal than it is. It's not that big of a deal. :) I know that it's confusing. If you look at my talk page, I actually did something similar recently. Anyway, as I said, keep at it. You made some very good edits. And we need as much help as we can get with templates, which tend to be ignored. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 23:20, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Warning Messages

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Nat Tang ta | co | em 23:44, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

I actually didn't know where to find them, so thanks for the link! Therequiembellishere 23:57, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Slug-Vomiting Curse

Personally, I believe that Eat Slugs is the incantation, but to prevent further frustration, might I suggest adding a note to the section and creating a debate on the talk page? As I mentioned, I am against this, so I won't do it myself, but it will make things much easier on you and help us all get our positions heard if you do these. Therequiembellishere 03:49, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Actually, someone has made a section about it on the talk page, but no one seems to be heeding it. Good idea on the notes though, I put those in. Thanks. GlassCobra 04:47, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Also, there is something weird about this page, that the only wway I could make this section and re-edit it to make "mention" past-tense was to click "edit this page" at the top. Therequiembellishere 03:50, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

You're on an encyclopedia. ;-) I looked it up and instantly got an answer. Therequiembellishere 23:39, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Care to tell me where you found it? Corvus cornix 23:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I just copied your "GeV" and pasted it in the search bar. The "G" is the prefix "Giga" and the "eV" is one of those maddening scientific (for want of a better term) acronyms for "Electronvolt". Therequiembellishere 00:01, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Huh. I don't get anything meaningful. Corvus cornix 01:44, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Other Minor Teachers

Just because you don't find it notable, doesn't mean other won't. You seem to have done this at least twice. If only you have a problem, deal with it, please. Therequiembellishere 03:52, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Seeing as you are the only one re-adding the other teachers: you are the only one that cares about it. I see NO ONE else re-adding it, so get over it. Wikipedia isn't a guide to every Harry Potter character. Just because the article has the word "minor" in it, doesn't make it a dumping ground for everything not suitable for the other articles. RobJ1981 04:56, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Do you want to open a discussion on the page? Therequiembellishere 05:30, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Ah, see now, I'm not the only one. Therequiembellishere 19:47, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Ah, thanks. You can change it back, you know. Just click the undo button on all the edits that the user has made. I can't because I've reverted 3 times -- more would result in a 3RR violation. Thanks for noticing this, though... I couldn't work out what to do! Gscshoyru 18:29, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

I don't know how to do any but the last one he made!
Huh? In the history, there's a little "undo" thing next to his edits. The top four are the ones you need to revert, I think I reverted the others myself already. Just revert them all one at a time, it actually removes it from the article properly without affecting the other edits. Gscshoyru 18:34, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
I didn't get that you can do more than one with intermediate edits, but I see now. I used up mine, so I'm fixing the rest by hand Therequiembellishere 18:35, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
. . . Actually, all you are doing now counts as a single revert -- you're only changing it once, though you're reverting multiple edits. Plus it counts as a revert whether you change it by hand or by tool. So it doesn't matter. And thanks for fixing. Gscshoyru 18:37, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Really? Thank God you told me before I broke the rule somewhere else! Therequiembellishere 18:38, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Heh. And an admin can't really do anything, yet... but if you defend it once or twice more, then he'll be in violation of the 3RR, and we can report him. Or, he could try talking to us. That would be the much better solution. Gscshoyru 18:40, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Non-canonical spells in Harry Potter

Thanks for moving the page to your userspace. Do you think we could maybe get away with including these spells at the bottom of the regular spells page (assuming that one doesn't get deleted as well), or would we get in trouble from all the whining pissants? GlassCobra 07:23, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Temper Tantrums

You need to dial back your temper, Thereq. An edit summary like that can get you blocked for uncivility by itself. If you come across an edit that you disagree with, take it to the editor in question or to the article discussion page. Uncivility and temper tantrums doesn't inspire any editor to work with or deal with you. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 03:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Very well, I do realise when I go too far and regret it as soon as I press "Save". However, from some of the above discussions, you seem to be a little hypocritical, perhaps not in temper, but you should check yourself as well. Therequiembellishere 14:59, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
I presume you were referring to my User Talk Page. I think they aren't really a good barometer of judign my politness. True, I have difficulty suffering repetitive fools. However, I also communicate effectively with them instead of kicking their heads in via edit summary. My comment to you wasn't from a "master" to and "apprentice", it was from one editor to another. Take it as such instead of poking holes in the advice. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 17:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Alrighty then, hope that together, we can help terminate the idiocy from the Harry Potter WikiProject. Therequiembellishere 18:07, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair enough. :) - Arcayne (cast a spell) 20:35, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
And I never said you weren't polite, (I said, "perhaps not in temper"), but we did seem to have fairly similar problems. Therequiembellishere 18:08, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Brunei

No one's answered so I'll just ask you. What does the word Darussalam mean in English and would Brunei's official name be the State of Brunei as Wikipedia gives or the Sultanate of Brunei as Brunei is a sultanate and this was what Wikipedia formerly gave. I've moving to a different home soon and don't know how much computer time I'll get so a quick response would be kind. Many thanks! Therequiembellishere 04:30, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

I would like to call it Sultanate of Brunei but the Library of Congress states that it is the State of Brunei Darussalam [1]. I am inclined to look for cited material to escape WP:OR. __earth (Talk) 05:46, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
But since when is the Library of Congress right? I mean, the CIA World Factbook has so many holes in it, it's a shame. Does Darussalam mean Abode of Peace? Therequiembellishere 14:41, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
About the LOC, I shall refrain from commenting. But Darussalam does mean above of peace. If you are interested, Perak (Darul Ridzuan), Selangor (Darul Ehsan) as well as six other Malaysian states use the same convention. __earth (Talk) 14:56, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
That is really interesting. Therequiembellishere 15:01, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to WikiProject Musical Theatre!

Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list! Our goal is to make Wikipedia the foremost compendium of musical theatre to be found on the internet: hope you're up to the challenge! As a project member, you might like to add the project membership userbox to your user page.

If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and perhaps browse our page of useful templates. When you have a moment, please take some time to review the article structure for musicals, which, after months of collaboration, consensus has decided as the best structure for articles on musicals. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Project to do list and in our tasklist.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing!

Samoa

Hi! I didn't realise that there was a conversation on Talk:Samoa, but regarding the fact that he is known as His Highness, could just show their respect, as the Philippine President is known as Her Excellency. Hope we can hear from the Press Secretariat soon. Therequiembellishere 01:03, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, I had the conversation but I didn't follow it up with a letter. If I don't hear soon, I will have to do that. At present we have the South Pacific Games starting in about a week and so everyone is rushing around busy with that, particularly the press secretary. It's the Pacific and things move slowly. However, my guess is that the answer is that the Head of State is an elected president and this makes Samoa a republic, if our only choice is between a republic and a monarchy. The reality is that the head of State will be appointed from one of the four main families here for some time to come and it will be intersting to see what happens when this one's five year term is up. My guess is he will be reappointed and will serve till he dies. Either that or the senior matai from one of the other families will be appointed. Either way, it will function more as an elected monarchy than a true republic. --CloudSurfer 04:58, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

Thanks (Using your real name)

I strongly suggest you take it off. Very recently an administrator put up his true name and had personal threats to his own and his family's personal safety, forcing him to ask for de-admin and leave Wikipedia. You put in really good edits, like he did, and I would hate to see another contributor leave because of a sour anon. Therequiembellishere 01:30, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to follow it. I was always a little hesitant (as a former 4 Chan-ner, I've seen the damage personal info on the interwebs can do), but thought maybe this wasn't a huge threat on WP. It seems I was a little too optimistic. :) Cheers! Faithlessthewonderboy 01:51, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

new analysis re: Commonwealth R/realm

Hello Therequiembellishere,

I invite you to consider this new analysis of the UK FCO's usage and inform the talk page whether you still feel the "r" in Commonwealth R/realm should be capitalized.

Thank you.

Jonathan David Makepeace 23:51, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I do still feel it should be a capital "R", I'm sorry. Therequiembellishere 02:35, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Guinea-Conakry, CIV and so on

What's your take on my the latest discussion? Therequiembellishere 16:26, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

We have those templates for a reason -- to standardise entries. It's not a good idea to counter this by using "Ivory Coast" or "Guinea-Conakry" instead. —Nightstallion 10:28, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

A nickname

Hi. I like to call the users by their user name, but yours is so long (I've figured out it says "The requiem bell is here"), I need a nickname for you. I've been misprouncing it "There quiem bellishere (THAYR QUEEM BELLI-SHERE)" so would it be alright if I called you "There", or do you want something speciffic. --TimySmidge 21:00, 31 August 2007 (UTC)TimySmidge (you know me through the Harry Potter edits)

Indeed I do recognise you. You can call me Requiem, Bell or a combination of the two. Happy editing! Therequiembellishere 21:02, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I much prefer "there". Call him "there". He'll love it. As his sister, I know. Minervamoon 16:11, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Hugo Chávez

Don't look at the infobox, look at the list! Look at other lists pertaining to these dates. Look at the pages of the two Presidents after Chavez resigned! And incidentally, the article you put seems to say that Chavez says he DID step down. Stop changing it Therequiembellishere 18:09, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I am adding a footnote for clarification, to say he was first elected in 1999, don't remove it! Snappy56 18:34, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Hogwarts Staff

You had a right to move the page, but you had absolutely no right to blank either of the pages. You also spelled the words wrong and if you do the slightest bit of vandalism again, I will report you. Therequiembellishere 17:17, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

The page was in violation of Wiki policy, And yes, I accidentally misspelled the new page title. Harry Potter is a British topic, and Wikipedia policy states that British topics should employ British terminology. "Faculty" is an American term and so the term needed to be reinstated. A proper move was impossible because someeone (presumably an American) had already moved it from "Hogwarts staff" to "Hogwarts faculty", and for some reason moving a page to a redirect requires approval from an administrator and a lengthy discussion, which I didn't see a need for. If you want to call that vandalism, that's your call, but it's a fairly loose use of the term. Serendipodous 17:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
You blanked the page! You could have changed the page name and left it! I was planning in changing it myself! There are loopholes around the discussion, which I have done, so please god, just stop! Therequiembellishere 17:36, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Well then . . . thank you. I'm not sure which page I blanked; there was some confusion after I realised that I'd moved the page to one with a nonsense title, and something might have got lost in the shuffle. I assure you that whatever happened was purely accidental, and that, barring another freak occurance like the one just now, it will not happen again. I am a longtime editor with a fairly decent track record and this sort of thing is quite rare in my personal experience. So you have little to worry about. Chill. Serendipodous 17:42, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
I noticed that something must have gone wrong, since you have so many barnstars, but when I saw bothy pages blanked, I thought it was malicious. Therequiembellishere 17:44, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Typo redirect Hogwartsstaff

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Hogwartsstaff, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Hogwartsstaff is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Hogwartsstaff, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Therequiembelliswhere?

What does your username mean? Also, because you do recognise me, what do think of me (so you don't get any weird ideas, I'm a boy)? Also, I was wondering if you are an admin? If you're not, we could work together to have both of us be admins. --TimySmidge 20:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)TimySmidge

P.S. I'm keeping what my talk page says.

I made went on Disney's Haunted Mansion ride a little before I made my account, and they have a line in the song along the lines of, "Do you hear the ring of the requiem bell?" (A requiem mass is a funeral mass and the church bell is heavily used), and I was in a huge emo phase, liked it and it stuck. I really like the edits you make, and rarely are they wrong. And no, I'm not an admin, but I cause a lot of controversy, idk if people would like me ;-). Therequiembellishere 00:06, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Commendation

I would like to commend you, dear sir, for acceptance of the facts regarding absolute monarchies. You have the makings of a good intellectual. I encourage you to continue seeking knowledge and sharing it. It is sometimes a fulfilling achievement in itself. Study logic and philosophical reasoning. It goes a long way in discerning falsity from truth. One thing you should remember though about Wikipedia, before editing anything, try reading 3 reliable sources first(more established encyclopedias) or find a text book regarding the subject - it will build confidence that what you are going to edit does not dramatically differ from common knowledge - unless you have defended a dissertation on the subject and was awarded a PhD. As simple as that guide might be, believe me, it is not always followed. Try going to the source materials if possible. And try to look at the bigger context. Sometimes, people fail to see the forest from the trees.

Doubt is the mother of knowledge according to the ancients. But seek truth according to proper reasoning (logic) also. Otherwise, everything is a house of cards.

Keep reading. Dr mindbender 06:23, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, I just hope that nothing like that page move happens again. Especially after a consensus has been reached. Therequiembellishere 16:59, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I'm not aware of that page move you're talking about. But be careful about consensus. Truth never depends on consensus. That is one thing I don't like about WP. And when you're dealing with the humanities, a point of view is a valid requirement sometimes. The only things that don't require a point of view is science. Dr mindbender 23:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
C mon reverted the page to a really awful version that That-Vela-Fella and I worked hard to change to its current version. This wasn't the first time he'd done this either. Therequiembellishere 00:17, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Do you happen to have the source for his piece of eight? Therequiembellishere 20:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

To be perfectly frank, yes I can provide a source. But it is very hush-hush. You see, I was given access (along with other people) to some of the official artwork to the characters. Unfortunately, I cannot provide the source because I don't know where it is.--KnowledgeLord 23:44, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, do you have a source that leads to the other source? Therequiembellishere 23:51, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
It won't be easy, but I'll see what I can do. While I'm at it, I'll try getting more information the Pirate Lords as what I saw there was all about them.--KnowledgeLord 04:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Civility

I implore you to take a look at Wikipedia:Civility and Wikipedia:No personal attacks, especially the latter. Simply put it states "Comment on content, not on the contributor." . You are commenting on me as an editor (tsking at me, calling me "whining" and laughing at my user templates). These things do not belong at a talk-page of an article. If you have issues with me as an editor please discuss this at my talk page and not at an article's. C mon 18:38, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Cathoric marriage in Japan

Hi it's a bit off topic there, but I think it interesting for you, so a stat made by Catholic Bishop's Conference of Japan. http://www.cbcj.catholic.jp/jpn/data/st03/marriage.htm

It gives data about marriage cerebrated in catholic churches in Japan between 1999 and 2003: among them, 306 couples were both catholics, 109 catholic and another denomination, 1890 couples were couples with a catholic and other religions' believers. And I found Abe's wife went to a catholic school, no data of her faith and it isn't same here in Japan to go to a school religious body runs and to believe that religion. Hope it helps you to understand well Catholicism in other soils. Cheers, --Aphaia 10:00, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I have noticed that you have made a total of 5 reverts in the last 24 hours to Spells in Harry Potter. This is in violation of the three revert rule, which states that "An editor must not perform more than three reverts, in whole or in part, on a single page within a 24-hour period." If an action really needs reverting, somebody else will probably do it. To avoid a 24 hour block from editing, you should revert (at least) two of your reverts. For more information, you may also like to read Wikipedia:Revert only when necessary. Thanks! •Malinaccier• T/C 22:11, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey man, Malinaccier is calling me on violating 3RR, so it looks like I'm out of action to defend the article, at least in the immediate sense. I'll drop by and clean up where I can, but I can't do any more reverting, at least until tomorrow. I counted 5 reverts by me, so I have to re-revert 2. Would you mind cleaning up whatever mess gets put back into the article? Thanks. GlassCobra 02:16, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm not as attentive as you, but I'll do my best. Malinaccier seems to be doing less of an accusation and more of a "watch-out, admins are nit-picky". Therequiembellishere 19:06, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Eh. I didn't really appreciate him quoting policy at me, as if I had never read it. I wrote a pretty good response on his talk page, basically saying that he shouldn't template the regulars. Whatever. GlassCobra 21:43, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

HP Spells...again

Someone just added Peskipiksi Pesternomi. Did we really not have that before? I feel like there was probably some reason we deleted it, but I can't recall. Anyway, I have to head to bed, would you take care of this when you get a chance? Thanks. GlassCobra (Review) 06:51, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Death Eaters/Minor dark wizards

Hi there, I see you reverted my edit in the Death Eater article. As you know, the WikiProject HP is currently working on Notability in the Harry Potter related articles. The "Minor Dark wizards in Harry Potter" article was redirected to a new one called "Dark wizards in Harry Potter" because it include some important characters like Bellatrix, the Malfoys, Crouch or Wormtail that are obviously not "Minor" Dark wizards. In that article, we only kept some sections for important or secondary characters, including those mentioned above, as well as some others like Dolohov, Rookwood, the Carrows, etc. Those characters that were only mentioned passing by (such as Gibbon, Crabbe Sr., Rabastan Lestrange, Wilkes, Jugson, Mulciber, etc.) have very little information to deserve their own section if compared with the rest (Bella, Dolohov, Crouch, etc.) and that is why their information was moved to the Wikitable about Known Death Eaters in this article, renaming the section as "Background and Known Crimes" for those minor characters to include details about them (for Wilkes, for example, that he was killed, or Jugson that he was only seen in the battle of X, etc.). As these minor characters had little information related to them in their sections in the former Minor Dark wizards article, that information was repeated in the table in this Death Eater article. I did not revert or edit your last contribution because you said you are going to add some stuff. I will wait for it :) Lord Opeth 23:40, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Korean War

You recently added that peace treaty was signed in October 2007. This is incorrect; there was an agreement made by North and South Korea, declaring that negotiations should be held, towards the ultimate signing of a peace treaty. There has not been a peace treaty as of yet. Please be careful when adding current events to Wikipedia. Regards, Parsecboy 22:09, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Ah, sorry, the main page is misleading! It shouldn't even be on there until the treaty is signed! Therequiembellishere 22:10, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
No worries. The main page is sort of misleading; perhaps a suggestion to clarify it a bit more is in order. Regards, Parsecboy 22:21, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Your edits to Heroes and powers

Please leave the listings as 'None'. This has been discussed and debated at the Heroes Wikiproject, varied talk pages, and the article talk page. The basic reasoning is: Heroes are special. Anyone on the show not shown to have powers has none, until such time as a power is revealed, by word or deed. To assert that any character without powers, Ando, for example, simple has an unknown power, is to confirm that they are genetically different according to Dr. Suresh Sr.'s theory, but that the expression of the gene has not happened, or the expression is unidentified. However, that's unlikely to be the case with the 6.5 billion people on that earth who haven't been featured yet, and it's reasonable to assume there aer only a few hundred powered folks. Since the situation is binary, we wait for confirmation that someone's a 1, not that someone's a zero. The 'specialness' of the 'heroes' makes them unique, it's the premise of the show. To assert that all humans are 1s until proved 0s makes no sense. I hope this helps you out. All characters are considered 'None' until shown otherwise. Thanks. ThuranX 03:44, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Request

Perhaps some Pirates of the Caribbean expert (see Brethren Court) can produce a Behind the Scenes documentary or newspaper article to back it up... - Mgm|(talk) 20:29, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

I currently have Stede Bonnet at WP:FAC, and a question over a missing source was brought up. In the article, there is a sentence that says: "Bonnet's flag is featured in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End as Capitaine Chevalle's flag." I could not find any sources verifying this claim. Could you possibly look into this matter? Thanks, Nishkid64 (talk) 21:16, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
It's from The Pirates' Code Guidelines, an official Disney source. Therequiembellishere 23:44, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Do you happen to have a copy of this book? I don't have access to it. I just need to know where it says Chevalle's flag = Bonnet's flag. Nishkid64 (talk) 23:48, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I don't, look at the talk page, one of them do. Therequiembellishere 23:49, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I see no mention of the book on talk:Brethren Court. Could you offer some assistance? Nishkid64 (talk) 23:53, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Look under the section heading "Feng's flag" or something of the like, they'll shorten it to The Pirates' Code, I believe, sorry. Therequiembellishere 23:59, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. The IP user has not been active for a few months, but the other user in the discussion, Countmall, who I hope has the book, seems to be active. I'll contact him. Nishkid64 (talk) 00:56, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

The Company page on Heroes

Hello. You seem to have drawn a lot of conclusion on the Heroes Company page. I was wondering if you would join me on the talk page for the Company so that we can discuss verifiability of your sources, as you seem to have not posted any. thanks. please come and discuss with me. it is uncivil for us to continue to revert one anothers changes. thanks again. You do such great work on your other pages, so i know you are a trusted user. can we talk about the company of the talk page?--Chrisisinchrist 21:53, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to be en route to my house from a party so I'll won't be on for around two hours. Therequiembellishere 22:31, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
You are being really detailed on the Company page and you are making some mistakes.
  1. Organization is not spelled with an S. it is spelled with a Z. Type organisation into your spell check on your word processor and it will tell you that you are spelling it wrong. I keep correcting it and you change it back.
  2. Punctuation marks always go inside the quotation marks, not outside. A period goes inside the quotes, not outside. I will change it back. Once again, if you were to put a period outside the quotes in your word processor, it would tell you that the change is grammatically incorrect. Thanks.--Chrisisinchrist 19:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
You're an American aren't you? :-) Therequiembellishere 19:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I am an american...and I assume things done on the English wikipedia are done in standard English. I might be wrong. --Chrisisinchrist 19:07, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
No, this is standard English, but you're right, it's an American programme so I'll use American spellings for you. Therequiembellishere 19:08, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
How do you watch Heroes season 2 if you are not living in America. Oh, well maybe u arent american but live in america.--Chrisisinchrist 19:08, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
It's the latter. Therequiembellishere 19:10, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I am not really sure what wikipedia's policy is on american english and british english. are u aware of the policy. i certainly dont want to offend anyone.--Chrisisinchrist 19:19, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, and I'm wrong. It's pretty much that if it's made in one country, use that country's standard of English. (i.e. Harry Potter uses British English, Inheritance Trilogy uses American English). Therequiembellishere 19:22, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

OMG!!! You just HACK thru the company page dont you? I think you are toooooooo detailed. I mean, you disect the article. Oh my goodness!!!! I dont think you have to be soooooooo detailed. I mean, if you look at the history, your name is just tagged all against it. You make changes, come back the next day and change your changes or the formats. I think it is getting a little too ridiculous. I mean, I love the Company, and it is my favorite page to edit, but you act like it is only your page sometimes. I mean, how do you find all the things to edit? I think you would be better suited for heroes wiki, not wikipedia. All the details are just mind boggling!! I mean, no doubt, you do a great job on the page, but i have never ever seen a user so moticulus. (i hope i spelled that right). you are just detailed detailed detailed. slow down! i leave for 20 minutes, and you just have 50 changes posted on the history. review the article and make all your changes at once or use the sandbox until you are done making all your changes...lol.--Chrisisinchrist 01:23, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry, I'm nit-picky. All I've really done though is keep the same details and make them more prose rather than a list. Therequiembellishere 01:26, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
You have to be careful because you might break wikipedia policy...This is an excert from wikipedia policy This user believes that a user's edit count does not necessarily reflect on the value of their contributions to Wikipedia...you have to be careful because an admin might report that. You should do all your edits at once and then save the page. --Chrisisinchrist 01:29, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
What? But I'm not trying to be all important because I have a lot of edits! I'm just anal retentive and try to fix every little problem I see! Therequiembellishere 01:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Are you an admin??? because it seems like you are trying to make a lot of contribs so it looks like you make a lot of contribution to wikipedia. the other admins will notice this if you are up for a nomination. you should make all your edits at once and use the sandbox to make a lot of edits.--Chrisisinchrist 05:24, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Lol, NO.I'd never make it to an admin status, so I won't ever try. Therequiembellishere 05:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I am not saying you shouldnt try, i am just saying if you are atempting to expand your contribs list, this is a bad way of doing it. I am sure you could be an admin with some mentorship, if that is what you want. But, good admins are not as detailed as you. You should be more subtle and not so detailed. details are the reason they have heroes wiki. have u ever been to heroes wiki? u might be really good at that site too, because they like every single little detail. Sometimes i visit there when i want some play by play detail. anyway, just use the sandbox and make all your edits at once. take your time, dont rush. also, we never discussed victoria pratt, but i am sure once it is revealed on the show, you will be able to happily add her with verifiability.--Chrisisinchrist 05:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, it's like I said, I'm not trying to add to my contribs list, I just always find something else to fix. And it's not that I wouldn't like to be an admin, I just don't want to take the effort while school presses down on me and since I'm not a golden editor anyway. No, I haven't been to the Heroes wiki, I might visit and edit a little, but not a lot, I used to try to be active on the Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Inheritance Trilogy (I did the most here) and other wiki and I just stopped and focused here. And I'll wait for the Pratt, I just hope that the strike doesn't last 22 weeks like the last one did! Therequiembellishere 05:47, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't we keep section 4.2 with only one title? I personally like the "pneumatic injection" in lieu of "'Bag and Tag'" Therequiembellishere 02:13, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey man. Sorry about the heated discussion. I was wrong to call you names and get so immature. I will work on watching my grammar. Beleive it or not, I am a child care teacher...lol. sometimes i come on wikipedia and i just have only enough time to make a contrib. i dont edit it because i assume other contributors will fix it for me. so, trust, i am not ignorant...i am just in a rush and dont have time to spell check. i type about 110 words a minute. i usually type it in lower case like i am doing now, with no grammar or punctuation and then spell check it later. so, i kinda do that everywhere i type. back in the day i used to work for the us government typing whatever they told me to. they hired me because of my speed...lol...that just a tidbit about me. i hope we can still work together peacefully to make the company page fantastic! i think we both love the mystery of the company and cant wait for things to be revealed. anyway man...i apologize. we can discuss things here in the future if we ever get too heated on the talk pages. anyway, i will post more on the bob bishop thing tomorrow. it is late here where i am and i am tired. anyway, sorry man. lets discuss more tomorrow and whenever we are on and keep working hard on making the company page great....alright man...i am logging out for the night.--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 07:03, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, me too, hope this page just ends up being the best it can. I hope we can get some admin to help his perfect it. Therequiembellishere (talk) 07:14, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey, can you come to the Company discussion page. I have added a new discussion topic that I need you to review.--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 20:19, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

can u join me on the company talk page to see my POV on the issue of "manner of death"--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 16:48, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

I think we should remove the employees of Yamagato. the employees are important, but not important for a company page, because they have no relationship to the company of whats going on in the company. at least with the linderman group, we have ties to the company, such as linderman, arthor and niki and nathan. but, with the yamagato industries, there is absolutely no connection to the company and hiro, ando or kimiko. u have to remember that the company page should deal with the company and not just information that is unrelated. what do you think?--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 21:09, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Subsidiary is fine...i thought it meant something else. also, are you sure bob is alchemy? i mean, i have read comicbookresources were the writers say alchemy, but all the other bob information on wikipedia says transmutation. maybe we should take this is the main discussion board. i know they had a big big discussion about this...i think it was on the main page, but transmutation won the concensus, so we should probably change that back. also, did u check out those edits i reverted? look at them. someone came in and wrote down a lot of speculative powers for all of the founders, including fletcher and gramble. look at what i reverted. it was crazy. i was like oh no, this is wayyyyy wayyy to speculative. whatever user did that was crazy.--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 05:35, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw. THey're assuming that all the founders are parents of the heroes. Therequiembellishere (talk) 05:37, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for help with the archive. It was my first time trying it and was killing me. lol. --Vg0131 (talk) 03:47, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

On the discussion page, I mean. Do you think we should keep a list of what was archived?.--Vg0131 (talk) 03:48, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think so, chances are that we'll have more than one archive, and we can't keep a list of everything archived or else we'll fill up that page already! Lol. You can ask the others, though. Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Fine with me. If anyone asks abut it we'll visit it again, if not it doesn't really matter.--Vg0131 (talk) 15:41, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

where do you getoff writing that jk rolling said that dumbledore was gay!? you out to be kicked off wiki!!!!!

Er, excuse me? She did say that he was gay, I don't believe you know what a WikiTroll is and though she did say that Dumbledore was homosexual in an interview (you're really slow on the uptake if it's taken you this long to find out) I don't recall ever editing that into a page. Besides, there' nothing wrong with him being gay, y'know. Therequiembellishere 20:55, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Ali Abdullah Saleh

It didn't take as long to revert it as you thought it would. If you're such a good editor, why add vandalism? And if you want it be a bad ass rebel, you've failed by being coward enough to only put vandalism on an obscure page. Unluckily for you, I prowl the incumbent heads of state and government articles. Question about a few Heroes power citations from your list

Just wondering where you found the power citation for these three people on your list, I've never noticed anything showing these powers for these people. I posted this query on the discussion page for your list, but you haven't replied, so I hope you notice it here on your mainspace discussion page. --Hiro DynoSlayer (talk) 12/6/2007 20:11 (EST)

Infobox U.S. Cabinet

I'm sure you did not mean to break anything, but I reverted your changes to {{Infobox U.S. Cabinet}} for now. I added a sandbox and testcases to the template page- all of your changes are in the sandbox. The testcases page has the Washington and Truman infoboxes so that you can see the problems. Let me know if you need help. --— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 12:52, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

I didn't, and you'll see I tried really hard to fix it, but I just couldn't figure out how. If you could add one section for the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, that'd be great, it only needs to be there so Washington's page can actually have every Cabinet member. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:49, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Let me see what I can do there. The sandbox will make it easier to work on without breaking something. --— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 19:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Looks like I go this figured out; look at the testcases page and see. I decided not to put a gray line in between Foreign Affairs and State since they are the same department. --— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 13:19, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Australian PM infoboxes

I agree, the Australian PM infoboxes are different from the other PM infoboxes of Wikipedia. I've opened a discussion at talk: Kevin Rudd to discuss the inclusion/exclusion of Australian Elections. GoodDay (talk) 23:31, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Arroyo

According to the Manual of Style: "Articles on topics with strong ties to a particular English-speaking nation should generally use the more common date format for that nation". So since the Philippines uses the "June 30, 1998" format more than the "30 June 1998" format, the convention is to use the former for the article. TheCoffee (talk) 01:37, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Heads of state/gov't

Date style change

Is there some kind of reason why you would change a date like 6 December to 06 December? "06" is just a redirect, so why would a redirect be preferable? If it's just a personal stylistic preference, you shouldn't be making changes to other people's work on only those grounds. Everyking (talk) 18:25, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Edit summaries and the like

Hey there buddy, I know editing can be frustrating sometimes, but I've noticed quite a lot of edit summaries coming from you that rather stretch the limits of civility. ;) I say this only because I think you're a real quality editor who's got great potential; if I didn't, I'd just give you a warning. :P I find that most vandals just want attention, so WP:RBI is really nice to follow. So keep up the good work, okay? From now on, if you run into problematic users, instead of being snarky in your edit summaries, just let me know and I'll deal with 'em. *brandishes banhammer* GlassCobra 06:07, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Dates

Hi,

Just so you know, the recent changes you made to the Igor Chudinov and Iskenderbek Aidaraliyev articles (here and here, respectively) do not change how the date is displayed since the template automatically formats dates with the month followed by the day. So basically it's a waste of your time to change them. :)

Additionally, edits that do nothing more than change the date style from one acceptable version to another are considered inappropriate; the existing style should always be maintained, once established. (See WP:DATE - specifically the second paragraph.) Thanks. -- Hux (talk) 09:47, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

I was under the impression that we were supposed to use the spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and dating style most appropriate to the article by how it would be done in the article's region and doesn't Kyrgyzstan use the standard? I mean, I have idea. Therequiembellishere (talk) 10:43, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm not aware of any convention like that. It is definitely a convention, however, that when one acceptable format/style type has become established it shouldn't be changed to a different formatting/style type. Also, even if your point was generally true it wouldn't apply in this particular case since we're talking about a template which, by nature, needs to maintain one consistent style wherever it's used. -- Hux (talk) 18:42, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Danilo Türk/Janez Janša

Hello. I reverted your edit to Danilo Türk again. Let me explain: giving the name of the vice president or prime minister in the president's infobox makes sense only where those offices are directly connected to the president, as with the U.S. vice president or the French or Russian prime ministers. It is, however, inappropriate for countries with parliamentary systems, where presidents and prime ministers are completely independent and elected separately. Best regards, Zocky | picture popups 16:46, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Stephen Harper & other incumbent officer holders

Are you the fellow, who's been removing numbers from the incumbent office-holders infoboxes (noticed your edit at Harper)? If so? I've been trying to track you down for sometime. GoodDay (talk) 02:56, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Some of them. Therequiembellishere (talk) 02:58, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, I've restored 22nd to Harper (Canada) & 12th to Mbeki (South Africa), also I've noticed somebody restored 23rd to Sarkozy (France). Why do you remove them (just curious, not grumpy)? Is it because there's no 23rd Canadian PM, 24th French President, 13th Southa African President etc (yet)? - which would make sense. My guess is if anybody removes 43rd from George W. Bush, it could be contested. Again, I'm not trying to give ya a hard time - just seeking info (PS- Is there a WikiProject, I could bring this topic too)? GoodDay (talk) 03:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
My problem is that when there are contesting officeholders, co-officeholders, acting officeholder and people who have been officeholders more than once, it tends to skew the number depending on how you look at it and in the case of several times, it clutters the infobox. A prime example would be if people numbered the Popes. Switzerland is also a problem (though people don't generally number them), as there are so President and Councilors and ordering the Councilors is Hell.
I'm sure there's a WikiProject, but I'm not part of it and have no idea what it is. Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:14, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
OK, I'll try and find it. Also, if you want to remove the 22nd from Stephen Harper's infobox again? that's fine by me (I won't revert it). GoodDay (talk) 03:18, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay, If you find it, please come and tell me. Therequiembellishere (talk) 03:20, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
The best I could find? Template: Infobox Officeholder, which I visited last month concerning this topic (embarrassingly, I forgot about it & my visit). GoodDay (talk) 03:32, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Heads of State...

is it really necessary to add their family names/royal house after their reigning name? (btw...Queen Elizabeth's personal last name is Mountbatten-Windsor) nat.utoronto 07:31, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

It's how it's done at List of state leaders by date and List of heads of state by diplomatic precedence, and her personal name is Mountbatten-Windsor, not her royal house, nor her dynasty. The Mountbatten-Windsors were the precursor to the current. Therequiembellishere (talk) 07:33, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Golding

I find it odd that you are telling me how to use the Infobox, when you don't even understand what all the fields are for. Please tone down your comments, and dicuss this like a reasonable adult on the article's talk page, or I will bring your activities to the attention of an admin. Thanks. - BillCJ (talk) 00:08, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

First off, my comments aren't high flared, I needed to explain each of the edits in the short space the summary allows and doing that politely is hard over the internet and you didn't respond until after I undid it, so I'm sorry. Secondly, you don't have a right to tell me that I don't know how to use an infobox when I edit them more than most people here if you'd just see. Third, bringing an admin into something like this after you've pointed me as being childish seems uncivil in itself and, well, childish.
I'll reiterate my explanations for the changes:
My experience with infoboxes before and after I came here was that full names were always used at the top of the infobox.
Placing his title in the office section's only purpose is to link the deputy's section, and as their is no article to correspond as Deputy Prime Minister of Jamaica, it is redundant to use. It is also quickly become the norm to not include the numbering of a person in their offices due to confusions with people who hold the office more than once, disputed officeholders, multiple officeholders, innumerable officholders, people who contest the officeholder and acting, provisional, caretaking, interim and regent officeholders (and mixes of these) confusing the number and only end up cluttering the box. Examples that I use are Popes and the Swiss Federal Councilors and their presidents.
Hall isn't a big deal, I just don't like initials.
Commas aren't used in date put in the order on the page.
Labeling the successor as "Incumbent" is redundant due to it being in large letters directly under the title and clutters the box because of this
I use zeros before single numeral dates, that's just another quirk of mine as with Hall, but the dates are in the Commonwealth order (I don't know what exactly it's called so I'll call it this) so his birth date should so the same order for consistency. I'm not from Jamaica, but it's a Commonwealth realm, which makes it highly likely that they use this order.
Putting "Parish" if like saying that someone was born in "Glasgow City, Scotland Political Division", it's ridiculous. That why the Parish is linked where they can find this out. Putting where he was registered is something that should be incorporated into the article as something like "Though Mr Golding was born in Chapelton, his birth was registered in Ginger Ridge" because if one thing clutters an infobox, it's certainly putting where someone was registered after their birth. I'll say again: The section is "birth place" not "birth registered"
Thank you. Therequiembellishere (talk) 00:31, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
FYI, I consider ANY unwanted changes to the userspace with my name (since I can't say "my userspace") to be vandalism. Vandlism is against WIkipedia POLICY - it's not a guideline, so how did I bereka my own rules?? Idiot. I know we didn't start off on the right foot today, but I did aplogize for it. Yet you insisted on redacting my userspace, like I was a common vandal, wtihout even the courtesy to appraoch me first liek a real adult would. If the wiki-break notice is a personal attack on my paer, then I'm sorry your feelings were hurt. I've had it today with people protecting the real vandals and abusers, then going after me like I'm worse than the vandals. Well, I've had it with idoits like you. And you really are stupid for nominating the largest airlines list. THere, now THAT was a REAL personal attack. GO get me blocked if you wish, but I'm gone from WIkipedia anyway. Civility is also a POLICY and you have consistently gone against it whilst I only re-added a conversation that I knew would extend. What did you want me to do, tell you I was re-adding the conversation? There was no way to "appraoch [me] first liek a real adult would" I have no idea what you mean by "If the wiki-break notice is a personal attack on my paer, then I'm sorry your feelings were hurt." What's a "paer"? I think you're mistaking me for someone else because I've never nominated anything for an featured article and I could care less about aeroplanes, so what do you mean by "And you really are stupid for nominating the largest airlines list".
And the sentences "Idiot." "Well, I've had it with idoits like you." "And you really are stupid for nominating the largest airlines list." "THought I may come back as an IP, since they get more respect than regular users from the likes of morons like you!" could constitute consequences from an administrator but you seem to be going through a hard time (and I have no intention of calling one) so just consider this an official warning to try and keep your temper and be more civil when dealing with people you disagree with. I never insulted you, so I won't tolerate any sharp-tongued comments in the future however, especially from such an experienced user. I pray you get through your illness well and continue to edit. Ah, I see now, extremely sorry. Therequiembellishere (talk) 00:56, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, I have been a litte contentious already, so I can see how it might look like me :) But I promise I only use this screen name on Wikipedia. Forgive me for the cleanup above, since it's not applicable now. - BillCJ (talk) 01:03, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't see that! Sorry. Basketball110 21:55, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Country leaders

See my user page and look near the bottom for a link to my own complied lists. Please leave them as they are, however. Cheers--Therequiembellishere (talk) 08:09, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

I had proposed a new page with dates, de facto leaders and prime ministers not heads of government thinking it could live together with List of heads of state and government... But they kill it... Fabant (talk) 08:38, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

At Raul Castro's 'Acting President of Cuba' infobox, he has no predecessor. Only if & when Raul becomes President of Cuba shall Fidel Castro be added as predecessor. GoodDay (talk) 23:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I am well aware of the situation. I have already reported the IP, but I fear he will be back to circumvent via socks. Wisdom89 (talk) 08:03, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Considering the IP and the hour, this seems to be the user's home. Therequiembellishere (talk) 08:09, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
He's hit the House article before as well, as I'm sure you know - I've seen POV pushing before, but not to this degree - he must have a dynamic IP which makes it incredibly frustrating to deal with. Wisdom89 (talk) 08:11, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Actually, no, I haven't really edited the two before, but I started a little on ER and ran into this person. Therequiembellishere (talk) 08:14, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

peer review

I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! I'm sorry but I have a lot of work in the real world now and I'm trying to deal with an AfD here. On another note, would you mind archiving my talk? All but the last topic have been finished. Therequiembellishere (talk) 23:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
