Selecting the next Musical Theatre Collaboration of the month

[edit]

Every month a Musical Theatre Collaboration of the Month will be picked by members of WikiProject Musical Theatre and other registered Wikipedians, as part of the Project's efforts to improve Wikipedia's coverage of musical theatre, using the procedures described below.

The aim of each collaboration is to take an undeveloped or underdeveloped musical theatre topic and improve it over the course of a month. At the end of each month, the topic with the most support votes will be selected as the next collaboration.

For guidelines on the format of musical theatre related articles, please see the Project's Article Structure page.

Voting

[edit]

A vote to support the selection of a subject shows your commitment to aid in collaborating on improving that specific article or topic during the month if it is chosen. You can help by researching information about the article and expanding the article, finding reliable sources to support the assertions made in the article, copy editing for grammar and clarity, adding images and discussing how to improve the article on its talk page. Please vote to support only those articles that you wish to contribute to during the month so that participants in the collaboration will be best able to expand and improve the articles selected.

Any registered Wikipedia user is encouraged to vote. Feel free to vote for more than one of the candidates for selection if you like.

Please add only support votes. Opposing votes will not affect the result, as the winner is simply the one with the most support votes (see Approval voting).

To enter your votes, simply edit the appropriate sections by inserting a new line with "# ~~~~". This will add your username and a time stamp.

How to nominate an article

[edit]

To nominate an article for an intensive improvement drive during the month, add it to the list of candidates below. Note: Please place the full name of the article (the page name) in the heading when you post a candidate. Priority should be given to articles that are non-existent or stubs, though important topics in need of overhaul are also eligible.

If the page you are nominating already exists, please add the following to the {{Musicals-project}} code: | collaboration-candidate = yes

If the article is selected as the Musical Theatre Collaboration of the week, please add {{Current Musical Theatre COTM}} to the top of the article itself.

  4. Thomprod (talk) 02:21, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comments:

  • While the article is somewhat lengthy, it still remains a start class article and could really use some work. Currently, the article is completely unsourced, there's no plot synopsis, the section about the differences between versions needs to be edited for clarity (it's often hard to figure out which version of the show is being discussed), and the information about the various performances of the show could certainly use some attention.
I have added a section on the Audrey II puppets, as requested at Wikipedia:WikiProject Musical Theatre/Article Structure#Other elements as required (e.g., Book, Design etc), and done some copy editing. --Thomprod (talk) 18:00, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated March 31; needs 3 votes by

[[ [Date of current collaboration's end] ]]

Comments:

  • He is a Tony Award nominated actor. He has several other award nominations. He has been i several shows. His current article is only a stub.
