Fans Point of view
[edit]Well, for one thing there is the use of the first name, which gives a sense of overfamiliarity, rather than the last name. Then there are comments like "Completing her first album was a challenge because she had to balance working on the album with her preparations for the SPM examination. Despite this, her first album was a great success, and paved the way for successful subsequent albums." Pay close attention to the guidelines here WP:ASF - simply state the facts that are supportable by reliable sources and let readers make up their own opinions. And when analysis and commentary is added to the article, it is attributed to a reliable source, and to someone whose opinion is worth noting such as a professional critic, not a fan's blog post or promotional hoopla from her recording company. Watch out for WP:PEACOCK words. Active Banana ( bananaphone 13:06, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]While the links may work, the sites they link to appear to be insufficient to meet WP:RS guidelines.
- The heavy reliance on her personal website
Some of the ones that looked very suspicious simply by the name did turn out to be at a second glance probably appropriate. Other sites that still appear to be questionable include WP:RS:

The other issue regarding clean up is the excessive use of bolding which generally should only include the name of the subject of the article the first time it is used in the lead (and perhaps if the birthname is significantly different and used for the first time in body, that would be bold as well) - but nicknames and product names should not be randomly bolded. DYK for SimplySiti
[edit]On 14 November 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article SimplySiti, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the SimplySiti cosmetic line was founded by and named after Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza, and some of its products are named after her recordings? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Speedy deletion nomination of Discographies of Malaysian artists
[edit]A tag has been placed on Discographies of Malaysian artists, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Salih (talk) 17:47, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Also, if this long-term/low-level IP abuse continues, let me or any admin know (or post it at WP:RFPP) for some level of protection! THanks. Skier Dude (talk) 05:40, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Setting award names/colours in Template:Won
[edit]I have followed your suggestion from September 2010 and changed Template:Won to set colours for award names, such as: {{won|place=bronze|Third place}}. See your message in talk-page:
I am not sure those options will be allowed to remain. Some people writing about music albums and bands are severely conservative, and resist major changes. Many areas of Wikipedia are rather clannish: they resist ideas from outside the clan, so it can take a few weeks to discuss issues with them in trying to move toward new ideas. There is not yet a guideline for WP:PROGRESS, as a guideline to favor progressive ideas over censorship and stagnation, so don't be dissappointed when new ideas are eventually rejected. Anyway, thanks for the great suggestion about the award names and colours, and let's hope other users agree to let the new parameters remain. -Wikid77 12:10, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 2
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Siti Nurhaliza, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Radio24 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Rihanna - S&M.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Rihanna - S&M.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Replaceable fair use File:Katy Perry - Meow!.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Katy Perry - Meow!.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:43, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

If you don't mind, can you check out Shila Amzah's Wikipedia page and edit a few mistakes? And can you check all the grammar because I'm not so good in grammars lol. - Waalaikumussalam. Sure, but unfortunately you have to wait since I'm currently in my hometown for a week long holiday. :( I don't have proper Internet connection other than the one I have on my phone currently. In the mean time, what you can do is by finding and adding reliable sources to her article. Online newspapers would be a great place for you to start. :) I'll see what I can do when I get back. Honest Request
[edit]Hello Syfuel and Assalamualaikum. I'm Azharul Affandi. Just like you, I'm also a big fan of Dato' Siti Nurhaliza. First of all, I like the way you improve the profiles on Wikipedia article of her, it is so easier. I notice that you create some of new articles which all of them related to her, in which you write it in English first and I write it in Malay later where I'll translate it from English to Malay. I'll also do some minor edit on your works on Dato' Siti's Wikipedia page, and improving all the grammar because I'm very good in English grammar. May I ask, do you have any information about Dato' Siti's music video "Jaga Dia Untukku", I hope if you don't mind? I also refers to your works on Dato' Siti in Wikipedia page. I also hope that you establish a special Portal or WikiProject for Dato' Siti. Good job, Syfuel. Thanks. Fandi89 (talk) 03:15, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- Waalaikumussalam. ^_^ Ah, no wonder I kept seeing Malay pages for the articles that I have created. :D Sure, I can try to add more info on that. I think the director is Zul Ardhia and the actor is Mandala Shoji/Souji from Indonesia. Let me double check. It might take awhile, but I'll try my best.
- To be honest, I would like to, but I have no idea how to set a Portal or a WikiProject. :(SyFuelIgniteBurned 16:08, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

SimetriSiti
[edit]Just some notes for future album articles. I already fixed all the issues with SimetriSiti
- "Credits and personnel" should be just "Personnel" for album articles. "Credits and personnel" is for song articles.
- Colwidth in reflist coding is obsolete. No need to include it.
- Instead of using the semicolon (;) to bold things, please just use regular bold markup ('''). It's better formatting for screen reader users.
Thanks --Jennica✿ / talk 20:40, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi User:Syfuel, just wondered if this cover art [1] (bigger image here [2]) from the Australian Charts website would be better for Black Beatles than the remix art currently used on page. Usually the SremmLife 2 artwork is used in chart lists, but Galway Girl (Ed Sheeran song) has a cover on Wikipedia, even though in chart lists the ÷ artwork is used. Thanks, --Theo Mandela (talk) 11:32, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Theo. Thank you for stopping by here. :D Yes, preferably the official single cover is preferred unless there is no other official single cover(s) is available. For example, in the case of "This Is How We Do", the remix cover is used since no official single cover with Katy alone was issued. In the case of Black Beatles, I think you can use [3] to replace the current cover since Australian Charts is a reliable source of information (unless I'm proven otherwise). Siti Nurhaliza name
[edit]Hello Syfuel, see you again. I notice that you are currently revamping Siti Nurhaliza’s article, good work. About her name, I think there are no evidence that she has names in Tamil and Mandarin, it was added by vandal IPs. She also does not adopt honorific names such as ‘Che Puan’, ‘Sharifah’, ‘Tengku’ or else. Anyway, that’s it!. Fandi89 (talk) 05:15, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Fandi! :D Yup, it will be awhile for me to get it done since the revamping is pretty massive. And this time around, only verified sources that are properly archived will be used. Yeah, I saw some vandals are adding random names there. I'm kinda letting the main page "go" a bit cause once I'm done with the whole revamp, everything will be replaced in one shot. English translation for "Comel Pipi Merah"
[edit]Hello Syfuel, I know that you keep doing a lot of English translations for any of Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza’s songs in Malay as well as Malay language news resources for her. Can I ask, did you know the exact English translation for "Comel Pipi Merah", a new song that Siti Nurhaliza specially dedicated for her newborn babies? Thanks!. – Fandi89 (talk) 09:15, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Fandi! Thank you so much for your edit! <3 I've edited the entry with another source that clearly mentions the details. Personally, I would translate is as "Adorable Red Cheeks", but I think "Adorable Rosy Cheeks" is more appropriate. I actually attended her fans gathering when she was pregnant. ;) I might have some images that you can use if you want to create the article for the song on Malay Wikipedia. The images are not that great, but at least usable. Lol! SyFuelIgniteBurned 15:55, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help, dear Syfuel. I’m very appreciated. That’s a good idea, I have thought the idea to create the "Comel Pipi Merah" article at Malay Wikipedia, maybe in near time. There’s a good news, I heard that Siti has launched her official mobile app, not long after she gave birth to her first child whom she named Siti Aafiyah Khalid. – Fandi89 (talk) 05:02, 6 April 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Greatest Showman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Idolator (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

- Hi Fandi89, thanks for stopping by! Yup, they are in my to-do list actually but work + life have been crazy. I did go to the concert and I have taken a number of photos that could be used for the DSSN on Tour article. Hopefully the main article would be ready before Jan next year and the expansion of these two articles after that. SyFuelIgniteBurned 16:21, 15 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Syfuel, did you agree if Siti Nurhaliza should be conferred the Honorary Degree. I also agree if she should conferred the Honorary Degree from any universities and colleges in Malaysia because she contributed so much for Malaysian music industry and promoting Malaysian culture and infrastructure, although she never pursue studying at the university and college.–118.100.202.220 (talk) 06:27, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hi!
- Yes, I do agree if she were conferred such degree due to overwhelming contributions to the local music industry. But until that day comes, we can only wish it will happen one day. SyFuelIgniteBurned 08:25, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
