A tag has been placed on Amit manwar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Quinrm (talk) 07:43, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Hearts indigo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of satisfying notability guidelines for films.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Hearts album, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Hearts indigo. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 09:45, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Creating articles

[edit]

Hi! I've come to ask that you look over our guidelines for establishing and verifying articles. You can find them at various places such as WP:NFILM (notability for films), WP:GNG (notability in general), and WP:RS (our guidelines for sourcing and verifying articles). That sort of brings me to another issue... I have to put it this way, but the problem with the articles you created is that they come across as a hoax, which means that they look to be about things that do not actually exist or contain claims where the truth is stretched to the point where it is believed to be a hoax.

For example, let's say that I once sang in my church's choir and someone recorded me on their MP3 player. If I were to say that I was a professional singer with a recording history, that would be stretching the truth to the point where others could say that it was a hoax. It contains a grain of truth, but it's still considered to be a hoax because exaggeration is still considered to be somewhat of a lie or hoax when it comes down to it. In that situation it's better to say that I was a singer and leave it at that. However at the same time, it's generally not good to list every hobby that someone has ever been interested in or has a future interest in doing. Now here's something to keep in mind: writing an article about someone or something on Wikipedia does not guarantee that it will actually come about. It also doesn't guarantee that you'll get attention. I'm stating this because we will sometimes have people come on here to talk about future and/or current projects in the hopes that it will get them attention. The unfortunate situation is that this rarely works in the way that they hope it will, because while some places do take someone more seriously if they have a Wikipedia page, most places just sort of shrug because they know how easily people have created their own pages on Wikipedia (or asked someone else to do it). That's why it's usually better to wait for coverage in reliable sources and then create the page, as that will help assert more notability than trying to re-create a page a dozen times over.

On that note, I'd really like to ask that you not re-create any of the pages you've previously created. I think it's wonderful that you want to contribute, but I would recommend that for now you try a series of small edits and maybe even try joining a few WikiProjects that may interest you. By your name I'm assuming that you have ties to India, either because you live there or have had people in your family live there at some point in time. A wonderful place to start would be WP:INDIA, the WikiProject devoted to India. The users there have to be some of the most welcoming and active users I've seen in any given WikiProject and even if your interests lie elsewhere, I would still recommend going there as a first step towards future editing. But as far as re-creating these other articles go, please be aware that constantly re-creating articles that do not pass notability guidelines can be seen as disruption and could lead to a temporary or permanent block from editing.
