In response to your possibly rhetorical question at Zak (TUGS) just now
This Japanese version. - Vianello (talk) 01:44, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oh man, I wish I could help you. I didn't know of the show at all until I just ambled across your edit in the recent changes log. For some reason a twinge of suspicion just hit me, so I searched YouTube for "TUGS" and "Japanese" and badda-bing, there it was. Sorry I can't be of more assistance! But hey, no problem. - Vianello (talk) 00:26, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: List of Bloc Party awards edits
MOS:SYL Gary King (talk) 16:11, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Are you sure we are looking at the same page? I am pointing you to Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(dates_and_numbers)#Date_autoformatting (the above link redirects to this section), where it says "The linking of dates purely for the purpose of autoformatting is now deprecated." Gary King (talk) 18:22, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- I will assume you understand now, and will therefore revert your edit. Please read my edit summaries next time, including the linked pages, to learn more about why I made an edit. Gary King (talk) 18:45, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Regarding your original edit, it's the same as this. They are both in the English date format because Bloc Party is English. Gary King (talk) 19:02, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- I linked you to MOS:SYL because it is a jump to the section I linked above; perhaps your browser did not jump you to that section as it should have. I suggest you read through the discussions on this whole situation; User:Tony1 is doing some great work by diligently unlinking dates in thousands of articles. Gary King (talk) 19:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- The "very good reason" is because the band is English, therefore we use English-formatted dates. There has been a push recently in the past month or two to convert thousands of articles to unlinked dates. Gary King (talk) 19:09, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

- Correct, the whole point is to unlink the dates as there's no real reason to have linked dates; why would someone want to click on the month, day, or year? Gary King (talk) 19:18, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
← Now that that is done, we have to talk about your merge. There already has been precedent for lists that are short but are just long enough to warrant their own articles. If the list can get to featured list status, then why not, right? Gary King (talk) 19:28, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- I changed the date formats according to what I've been talking to you about. What did you expect me to do? Gary King (talk) 02:39, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- After unlinking, then consideration must be given as to the format used; either DMY or MDY. The appropriate format is used depending on the article's subject; in this case, Bloc Party is an English group, and so the date formats must be in English date format. Gary King (talk) 02:49, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Because they should be based on the article's subject. When dates were linked, the dates were formatted according to user preference so it did not matter what format was chosen in that case, but now that dates are unlinked, careful consideration must be given to date formats. Gary King (talk) 02:55, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- "January 1" is American. "1 January" is European. Gary King (talk) 03:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- "substantial reason to do so" includes situations like I just mentioned. As quoted from the arbitration case: For example, with respect to English spelling as opposed to American spelling it would be acceptable to change from American spelling to English spelling if the article concerned an English subject. Gary King (talk) 03:05, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- You forgot your signature again. You keep mentioning the clause "In June 2005, the Arbitration Committee ruled that when either of two styles [such as 14 February or February 14] is acceptable,"; the quote above is from the link there, which goes to Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Jguk#Optional_styles. RE: Air Traffic....
Hey SteelersFan_UK06, I have NO-IDEA how to leave you a message as I've never done it before on Wiki, I'm also new to contributing in general, so I hope this is how I contact you!
Anyway thanks for your message about my Live Appearances section. I agree it needs to be referenced, we can work on that, but I can assure you the information is extremely accurate. If it needs a tidy up so be it, I'll look into the face that Tours arent note worthy.
I would like to clean up the page to feature a simple introduction paragraph, then feature the rest of the information, some of which is jumbled in the opening paragraph, into the correct organised sections.
If you wish to collabourate I'm more than up for the challenge. Lets make this a great page for a great band!
--Turnsaved (talk) 22:57, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Turnsaved.
- Hope this works, ha! Anyway cheers for the message. Feel free to edit what I've done. I've read your article about appearances, and agree, although people could be interested to see the progress that the band have made, ie - going from smaller to bigger venues.
I would also like to create individual pages for each of the four members. Could you help me with this?

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Label_Fandango.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Label_Fandango.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 01:52, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
DYK for Label Fandango

Label Fandango
There's barely any information on the label. At best it would be C class. For an example of a B-class record label, see SST Records. WesleyDodds (talk) 22:07, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Re
Yes it is WP:EPD
Re: Air Traffic live section
Removing that section is ridiculous. It's by far the more interesting part of the article and as a fan, I'm sure you can appreciate to read a complex history like that as opposed to generic description you can find anywhere on the Internet. I think it deserves to be on the page as a quality, researched article of information which any one interested in knowing more about the band after just knowing where their name came from and a list a singles would be very grateful to find.
Maybe you should look past that Wikipedia 'isnt really meant for that' and allow it to feature on the page, as I'm sure many, many people will be interested in it. --Turnsaved (talk) 00:41, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Hello fellow TUGS fan!!!
Hello there!
I'm a TUGS fan too, and I was wondering if you would be interested in joining my new forum at this link:
The NEW Tugboats and Thomas Forums
I hope you look and like it. There isn't much on the TUGS boards or Theodore Tugboat for that matter, but maybe with your help it can expand.
I'll be looking here for your response. Thank you and have fun!
ZEM (Hankengine) (talk) 19:08, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
O. J.
It is spelled O. J. Look on the back of the TUGS products and in the books and you'll see it's O. J. not O.J.
Plus another problem is that the episode Regatta was never called 4th of July as it never was shown in America. Only it's counterpart Salty's Lighthouse which isn't part of the page. --VitasV (talk) 00:03, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

TUGS Flag
Hi SteelersFan UK06,
You asked me to draw a TUGS flag. Honestly, I'm not really sure how it should look exactly. How about this one?

Little context in Fire Tug
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Fire Tug, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. My FPC's
Hey, as I mentioned earlier I've 3 pictures in the WP:FPC at the moment so I'd appreciate any support you'd like to offer for them
By the time I looked at it the matter seemed resolved so I didn't bother to comment =s --Cabe6403 (Talk•Sign!)
YouTube
With the abillities put in front of me, I was able to create them. The Japanese ones I'm not aware about, just that I uploaded the Japanese clear titles. I thought maybe I could also send the titles to people if they're asking so they could use them in creating their own TUGS episodes and use those to put their own text on them. You can have them if you want providing you tell me your email.
I asked one Japanese TUGS/Thomas fan in Japanese what channel did TUGS air in Japan but I got no reply. Probably I didn't say it out rght when asking. He's also got a few Japanese TUGS episodes. --VitasV (talk) 21:42, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
There is no version with clear titles. I was just able to create one ... well two. How I did it, I want to keep that a secret if you don't mind but I'll let you know that I have plans for more TUGS videos in future so stay tuned and maybe subscribe to know when. --VitasV (talk) 04:50, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Website History
I don't think you'll be able to see past states of myspace players with The Wayback Machine as I doubt it keeps things like flash content. For instance here is the oldest Glasvegas one - http://web.archive.org/web/20060208062732/http://www.myspace.com/glasvegas - as you can see the player says 'Error Loading XML Document'. But you might as well try it anyway - just go to http://www.archive.org/index.php and paste the url of the myspace page into the box. Scatterkeir (talk) 23:03, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Re; Help with templates.
I think that you can get help with templates from the Village Pump. You should try that before asking another user. In my case, I haven't been checking my talk page much lately. Sorry. Next time, try WP:VPT. Will (Talk - contribs) 03:13, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Template removal?
Hi there...Just wondering why you removed the templates from the talk pages of Noddy,Fireman Sam, et al. Not that they're crucial to me or anything, I was just curious about your thinking. Thanks! GJC 05:55, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Aha--so THAT's what it was...Yeah, I would have to say "that project doesn't exist anymore" is a pretty good reason for removing project-related templates! Thanks for the quick reply...as I said, I was just wondering. GJC 22:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Today
Yo dude, sorry about not turning up today. I had a really bad ADHD flare up last night and was bouncing around in a semi panicked state until after 5am then just crashed out until after mid day today =/
Tried to get a hold of you through graz smith but you where somewhere else
I'll be in tomorrow so I'll give you the phone then.
Carling Bristol Academy
I reverted your changes to the Carling Bristol Academy article as the name change doesn't take effect until 1st Jan. I did add information and references about the name change though. Hope that is OK with you. --TimTay (talk) 09:36, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Ayup!
Fancy seeing you here... :) ~~ [ジャム][talk] 22:41, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I think you're not the person I was thinking you were... just happen to have the same name as a friend of mine... :). ~~ [ジャム][talk] 00:37, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Don't mind me :) LOL ~~ [ジャム][talk] 00:46, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
It wasn't the same username, it was same name - Chris Murray. I also mistook your SteelersFan bit for meaning the Sheffield Steelers. ~~ [ジャム][talk] 00:49, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- It clearly is a pretty common name if I've managed to completely confuse you on two levels! ~~ [ジャム][talk] 00:56, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the fact that you shared the same name and like of the "Steelers" (until I realised it wasn't the same Steelers). ~~ [ジャム][talk] 01:03, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Same to you :). ~~ [ジャム][talk] 01:36, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
RE: Regarding Zip (TUGS)
I'm aware of what you're trying to do, but you can't eliminate redirects from disambiguation pages. See if you take time to read WP:PIPING, you'll find that those pipe links are discouraged. Why don't you check it out? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 19:54, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
