Hey
[edit]How you been? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:05, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've been better. Off and on sick here. No problem. I knew it was bs the moment I read it. I was the one who got Ipodnano05 involved in it to. lol! So what do these wikiproject pages do? Yours is the first one I've been in so I'm kinda new to them. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:15, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
I'll be fine. Just gotta deal with it for now. That's cool. We should make one for Taylor lol! I don't know why people gotta start something just cause 2 users have the same opinion. It makes no sense oh well. Also I noticed the track listing on Most Wanted here is messed up. I know for a fact, that there is a hidden bonus track featured on the album. I own the standard edtion, the Target exclusive version and the Target exclusive version of the collector's edition of the album. The hidden track is a 2005 remix of I Am it is for some reason on they put it together with "Why Not" on the standard edition and at the end of "Do You Want Me?" of the Target edition. Why that is I have no clue but I do know it exist cause it complete accident I ran across it. Target also put "Do You Want Me?" on the collector's edition of the album as well. I don't know why that got removed but I just wanted to point that out. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:47, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Why would an artist do that by the way? It's weird to me cause I've never heard of it till I got the album but they put 2 songs on one track in that album. Weird huh? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:58, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I've been collecting Hilary's stuff since I first heard "What Dreams Are Made Of" on Radio Disney (the actual station lol!) JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:19, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've collected a lot of her DVDs too. I own the Dignity Remix EP but I don't own any of the singles. I've never been a big fan of singles. I use to when I was a fan of LeAnn Rimes and I had collected a LOT of her CD singles but when she had her affair I could no longer support her as an artist because my ex-step-dad had had an affair on my mother and I didn't like him so I felt I can't support an artist who does what he did. I do wanna collect all of Taylor's CD singles she released but I don't have the money to do that so I collect what I can get lol! I will say that I think it'd be hard to note a hidden track as it's rarely known. Another album I own Fallen by Evanescence and it has a hidden track and I just looked at the page and they list it without reference lol. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
That sucks about not being able to do a Taylor one cause with the Sparks Fly page having so much vandalism the more contributors we can get on it the better. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:30, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- I also like Hannah Montana as well. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:56, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
It's okay. I'm working on starting a page for the DVD that was released of the CMT Crossroads of Taylor Swift and Def Leppard. As known as it is I'm surprised no page has been started on it yet. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:29, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Here it is if you wanna check it out: CMT Crossroads: Taylor Swift & Def Leppard JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:56, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
That was an accident. If you could fix it that'd be great. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 07:10, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Also the information in the Infobox I got off the back of the DVD. Yeah I own it on DVD lol! It's one of my favorite music DVD's as I love hearing Taylor sing "Pour Some Sugar on Me". JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 07:15, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Dang with both went at the page like crazy lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 07:39, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
WikiCup 2011 July newsletter
[edit]We are half way through the penultimate round of this year's WikiCup; there is less than a month to go before we have our final 8. Our pool leaders are Adabow (submissions) (Pool A, 189 points) and PresN (submissions) (Pool B, 165 points). The number of points required to reach the next round is not clear at this time; there are some users who still do not have any recorded points. Please remember to update your submissions' pages promptly. In addition, congratulations to PresN, who scored the first featured topic points in the competition for his work on Thatgamecompany related articles. Most points this round generally have, so far, come from good articles, with only one featured article (White-bellied Sea Eagle, from Casliber (submissions)) and two featured lists (Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story, from PresN and Grammy Award for Best Native American Music Album, from Another Believer (submissions)). Points for Did You Know and good article reviews round out the scoring. No points have been awarded for In the News, good topics or featured pictures this round, and no points for featured sounds or portals have been awarded in the entire competition. On an unrelated note, preparation will be beginning soon for next year's WikiCup- watch this space!
There is little else to be said beyond the usual. Please list anything you need reviewing on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, so others following the WikiCup can help, and please do help if you can by providing reviews for the articles listed there. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews generally at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup- points are, of course, offered for reviews at GAC. Two final notes: Firstly, please remember to state your participation in the WikiCup when nominating articles at FAC. Finally, some WikiCup-related statistics can be seen here and here. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. J Milburn and The ed17 11:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

I think we both did a great job on the Taylor Swift and Def Leppard page. Thanks so much. Hopefully we can get the Sparks Fly page looking good. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:05, 2 August 2011 (UTC) |
Films are generally not allowed to be listed in music artist templates. But since you feel otherwise, I asked User:Lugnuts to give his two cents on this issue: User talk:Lugnuts#Help me out with something. QuasyBoy 18:19, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- I don't believe that is the reason that it is not allowed. It just really doesn't make sense to list films there if it is a music artist template. If her filmography should be acknowledged, this link: Hilary Duff#Filmography should suffice linking to the filmography section in the main article. I not trying a bad guy here, as an editor, I think you make some GREAT edits. :) QuasyBoy 12:48, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Enquiry about the Love? page
[edit]Hello Zach, I previously made an edit to the Love? page, and I added the words "stylized as JLOVE?", I included the words because it appears on the album cover and I just followed these other pages:
MSNBC (stylized as msnbc)
Toys "R" Us (stylized as Toys "Я" Us)
Pandora (jewelry)) (stylized as PANDORA)
Fox Sports Detroit (stylized as FS DETROIT)
iPod Nano (stylized as iPod nano)
Thanks man! Yours faithfully, Kotakkasut. 04:00, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Lol I didn't realise that there was a consensus made, should have checked that earlier, sorry man! Thanks for pointing that out :P Yours faithfully, Kotakkasut. 08:07, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, I just want to let you know that the way you handle this conversation is very polite and I totally respect you for that! Wikipedia can be quite a hostile place, so I'm glad to find out that there are nice users like you in Wikipedia. Thanks again! Yours faithfully, Kotakkasut. 12:28, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Re:
[edit]Thanks for the banister. I'm still trying to learn and if I got questions I'll turn to you and ipodnano05 for help ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 22:25, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hey bro, I just wanted to pop over and help you out here. Don't change the name of Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus. I was informed that it is actually correct. I don't want you to get in trouble for editing warring cause you're a good guy and we need good contributors like you. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 00:17, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
I don't know man, I've heard it as what you posted it as but if you go here you'll see why I'm letting you know this. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 00:49, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I figured it out. The reason it's as Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus is cause that's what's on the CD it's self. I own the album and I looked on the side and it actually says Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus and I'm betting that's why it's posted as such. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 00:51, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm not contradicting you man I'm just telling why I think they did it. Like I said I've always Known it as Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus and have always thought of it as such. Kinda funny here but I still got the little slip advertisement for CDs it has Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. There's also advertisements for High School Musical 2, Radio Disney Jams 9, Disneymania 5 on it too. Now that's just weird. LOL! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 00:58, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I think we should go by what it's commonly known as which is Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus if you ask me. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 01:02, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
LOL! Sorry about that man. I just think all this confusing about it is ridiculous. By the way, the reason I suggested the second cover go by Disc Two or Meet Miley Cyrus Cover is so it won't get contradicted cause alternate covers technically aren't to be posted you get what I mean? Besides to me calling it an "alternate cover" when it technically isn't just doesn't seem right to me. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 01:06, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Technically if you go by the physical soundtrack it serves as the cover for Meet Miley Cyrus the front cover has Hannah Montana 2 with the track listing posted on the side just like the pic you posted on my talk page (which that post the track listings for Meet Miley Cyrus I don't know if you noticed that. So the cover that's posted is the actual cover for Meet Miley Cyrus though if you were to put it in a computer it'd pull up as Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus Disc 2 with the cover for Hannah Montana 2. I have no idea lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 01:15, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
I was always told Breakout was her debut album. I never heard anywhere that Meet Miley Cyrus was her debut album. So where that comes from I have no clue. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 01:20, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- You gonna get the page moved to the correct name? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 01:30, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Two pages have already brought that up (this includes the talk page for Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus which is here and Talk:Can't Be Tamed). JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 01:55, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- We should both start a project page for Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. Since she is Hannah Montana, Miley Stewart and herself. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 02:01, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
I started a new discussion about it on Talk:Breakout (Miley Cyrus album) as well. The track listing is correct as far as I can tell. I don't see anything wrong though I do question the Rock Star edition as there is no reference to it. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 02:04, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay. I'm gonna go to Ipodnano05 and let him know we are reopening that discussion. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 02:15, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
I own them all. I own anything that has to do with the Hannah Montana that was released to CD. By the way you are correct about Best of Both Worlds concert. It's credited to both Cyrus and Hannah Montana. The side clearly post Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 02:46, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Check what I posted in the talk page that'll probably shed a better light on the subject. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:09, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
I already got it worked on bro. All the track listings on it are correct with the exception of the unreferenced "Holiday Edition" which I can't find a source for anywhere. So that was removed. The two disc limited edition exists I own it as that but I'm gonna have to look hard on amazon.com to find it so give me some time bro. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:14, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Gotcha and done. As seen in the booklet. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:29, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Booklet's fault not mine. I have no idea why they posted them as they did the just first initials and last name but that's what they did in the booklet (and yeah it's annoying.) Most have to be figured out on your own but usually the producers are the song writers as well. And I went by the booklet and noticed you removed it Jay Landers is credited as executive producer on the songs in the booklet you wanted me to post them as what's in the booklet right? And it is possible for that to happen. Check Hilary Duff's CD's from Most Wanted onward she's executive producer of the albums. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- In the case of Hannah Montana you can't do that, he's only executive producer of three songs, "The Best of Both Worlds", "Who Said" and "The Other side of Me" he's not credited on any other song but those 3. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:43, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Everything is correct on both Hannah Montana and Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. How's it coming with getting that moved by the way? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:49, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I'll go to that one now. By the way do not let anyone post that holiday edition back without a reference I've looked everywhere for it and cannot find one that exist anywhere. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 03:58, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- It may have but I can't find any reference for it so I don't know if it actually exist. Okay. Hannah Montana 3 is done as what's featured in the booklet. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:16, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Hannah Montana Forever is done too. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- The people who wrote that song are credited as the producers just by last name though. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:44, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Oops! My bad, I must've got in a rush lol! Thanks for fixing that. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 04:47, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't know you could support moves like that. That's cool. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:31, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Oh crap! That sucks! We should request for a wikiproject for Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. What you think? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:35, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney, you talking about this Disney one? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:40, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay you on there? I noticed it mentions Kingdom Hearts and I jumped to the one of Re:Chain of Memories but i was disappointed in what I saw. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:52, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Supposedly you can take all the 3 KH games that were released on PS2 and put them in your computers DVD-ROM and play them. But I can't find anywhere that'll tell me how to do it. :( JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 07:09, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
That CD single cover doesn't belong to any US store. I have been told we go buy the US official release not by international so to use the CD single cover would be incorrect when Ipodnano05 is the correct one. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:11, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I found this out while working on the Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated page. She's an American artist regardless of Hannah Montana being an alter-ego if it was released by America with a certain cover that's what you go by. I'm looking for the US cover for I'm Still Good cause it's not the US one but I'm not having any luck on that one. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:22, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Uh-oh you're Ipodnano mad lol JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:24, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

- Thank you! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 16:17, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
I got the page fixed. Sorry I had to do it several times on the page but it wouldn't let me revert it to before the IP user vandalized it how do you do that? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 16:18, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- How do you use that? And thank you for fixing the Suckpuppet investigation page. I'm not use to it and that was my first time doing that but I do believe that that IP is RaúlLoveMiley too. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 16:22, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Gotcha and thank you. I hope the sockpuppet investigation gets straightened out cause I don't like that all of us who have been working on that get it looking great and some user goes and destroys it. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 16:47, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
I added the references you asked me for. I was wondering if you think it should be moved. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 16:49, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
Could you fix what I added on there I don't know if I posted that in the right place and I know that I put the reference in the wrong place on the EP if you could fix that for me that'd be great. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 16:54, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I know it didn't look right and that's why I went to you. But I knew it probably should have a reference so that it's shown it's not made up. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 17:00, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. I'm glad you moved the EP to the track listing. Being in a separate section was dumb. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 17:02, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
Can you help me out here? This user says that the page has to have a format but the format's he's posting are not right. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 21:57, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks man, sorry I had to get you involved but I had to leave. Me and my significant other were going to go hang out with their mom and nephew so I had to get off here. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 02:46, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

That's a fan review if you check it clearly states: Heather Phares, All Music Guide so since it's a fan review that doesn't make it correct. We all know that. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 11:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've noticed a lot that all the reviews on allmusic.com are fan reviews so doesn't make any of them official reviews. The reference on the page from MTV.com is a fan review and I was always under the impression we were suppose to just use newspaper and magazine reviews or at least that's what Ipodnano05 told me when I asked him about a review from Keefe, Jonathan who wrote a review on Country Universe.net but he's also a writer for Slant Magazine. I'm starting to get really confused on what I'm being told. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 11:45, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello. Why did you delete Video Realise section and some charts in Promotional singles section?--demistalk 09:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Sounds like you're irritated I won't bother you for awhile. I don't another person mad at me right now. I'm not really happy because I lost my best friend of 6 years and I have no idea why, he just up and blocked on a site we were on together for no reason (I mainly was always asking him how he was doing and he'd never reply). So I really don't need another person mad at this particular moment. I swear I won't bother ya for awhile. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 07:23, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

I know I said I wouldn't bother you for awhile but I wanted to ask if you'd check the page and edit it if it needs it. I added new sections copy-edited and finally found a reference for the Genre. If can that'd be great. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 11:53, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry. I was still shock up about my friend. It's just hard to find out they want nothing to do with you after 6 years of friendship. I do want to let you know that I used a lot of the references used in previous pages of her songs which is how it got to grow so fast plus I talked another user on here and he told me that if they the references are used on a previous one and the article is a GA then it's probably okay to use them again. So that's how the page ended up growing. I also moved previous information to a new section as it qualifies more there then it does in the section it was previously at. You'll see the changes once you get on there. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 14:19, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
I been looking around on Youtube and the best I could find I used on the page. It's a "rough draft" but I'm sure we can edit it. Check the reference. I also added a bit more about the original performance in the Live Performance section to add a bit more information that wasn't already posted. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 15:52, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Okay, I changed it to US first (me) and no bubbling under/non-album single (you) while keeping up to date info. Would it be okay to use bubbling if there is a note like Lil Wayne discography? --Proof of Case (talk) 02:43, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
I think since it's been "consensus" (I'm considering that means an agreement) has been made and it's been supported and it's been 7 days you can move it to the new page. That's what I'm thinking about doing with Hits Remixed but I'm gonna ask first. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 12:09, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Hey, I found out the video premieres on TaylorSwift.com today August 10th at 4:30 PM CDT. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 08:13, 10 August 2011 (UTC) I just checked Fearless (Taylor Swift song) and for now the music video section is fine but once it's released it'll have to move to the live performances section. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 10:14, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- It's looking like there's not gonna be much more to do with this page cause the song doesn't seem to have a lot of promotion at all. And I have no idea what to do about the format. I've been checking Taylor Swift.com hoping she'd release a CD-Single (and I mean HOPING cause I'm gonna buy it if she does lol!) but no luck so far. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 11:16, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Here it's a time converter you can see when it'll air where you are by comparing it to the time listed. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 14:21, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- My wish got answered! THERE IS A CD SINGLE WHOO-HOOO!!!!!! YAY! (Yeah I'm having issues right now lol!) JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 17:14, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
I been working my butt off on Sparks Fly all day. Someone went and vandalized it earlier thank God for that rollback. LOL! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:20, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Oh
[edit]Check out my main page I got a picture of my Taylor Swift collection on there. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:25, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- I got both the day they came out on CD ^_^. Of course it's gonna grow here soon since that new CD single came out (and of course I'm gonna get it LOL!) and I ordered the UK deluxe edition of Speak Now 3 days ago. I been on Taylor Swift.com all day waiting for the music video and then I refreshed the page and bam! there was announcement for the CD single ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:34, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Actually with getting the packages it only cost me $46 all togther (course that's here in the US, I still have the receipt and all the stuff that came with it cause I ordered both CD singles at the same time). I had to pay shipping twice for both the packages but I didn't regret it cause I love them cause they are mine and not used but that's me lol! And don't you mean Speak Now Deluxe Edition? Cause you said Sparks Fly lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs)
- Oh I'm surprised no one noticed ones in a case. There's a reason. It's autographed by none-other-then Taylor Swift herself. Only cost me $10 off her site. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:44, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm not surprised it's that high, though I've seen it cheaper at a place called Buy Backs. Course I'd not pay for it cause it was I think $45.99 and that's more for what I payed when I got it brand new. That's the cheapest I've seen it go for though. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:46, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- Nice! I'm getting ready to upload my second collection. The Taylor Swift Karaoke Series. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:51, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey
[edit]Hi, I didn't know that you worked on it. I thought that the article was left on it's own, cause a lot of the references were mess. Sorry friend I didn't really know that. I'm fixing some things. However, I can credit you that you work tough on the article, and we can both be part of the nomination? I'm really sorry :( ! Tomica1111 (talk) 23:53, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well ok, I will remove the nomination and right now, I will find someone that can fix the c/e. Are you for? And than we can nominate the article again. I made the references, so I think that they are done. Tomica1111 (talk) 00:06, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Good job :). I like it how it looks now. And again I'm sorry I really didn't know about what were you planing. However, as much I feel guilty, I feel happy that formatted every each reference of the article and helped to you obviously. :) Tomica1111 (talk) 00:37, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm glad to hear that. And about the lead I hope that the reviewer will be "kind" :) and give us some repairing tips. I'm going to sleep cause it's 2:40 AM here :). But see ya tomorrow my friend.Tomica1111 (talk) 00:40, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

- LOL how did you mean, you are wrong with the grouping. Well, we just wait now, what Legolas says about what we have done. Meanwhile, I asked for help from a user that I heard it's good in c/e. So, I think that he gonna help us. If the article fails, we are doing a peer review and than again nomination. :/ See ya later, Gotta to go. Tomica1111 (talk) 17:07, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Need help
[edit]Sparks Fly (song): Can you edit the live performance section? I redid it with better information about the Speak Now World Tour performance but it needs a good editor for it. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 10:37, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- I got an issue going on with the Sparks Fly (song) page and I need your help. Some edits are posting the video in Music Video section when it suppose to be in the live performance section like the Fearless music video is. Can you help me keep an eye on that? Could you give your opinion on this? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 16:43, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Add anymore you want I think they stem from the same person as before. I'm off here for a bit I'm really ticked off cause of that personal attack towards me. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 16:52, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
I rechecked the reference and well check the talk page and you'll see why I changed it back. I'm off here now. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 17:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe we should get a 3rd opinion cause I don't see how he's calling it a pop rock when it says "Nathan Chapman grounds the single in a punchy, not-at-all-country pop-rock sheen" in the second paragraph of the reference but he called it a pop production in the first paragraph. That's just too confusing. If you check I replied on the talk page too. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 17:16, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Hey, could you please comment on Talk:Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus#Move back? -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 17:30, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

You know it's interesting they had 7 days to oppose that and NONE of them did till now that's messed up and I'm about to go find an admin and straighten this crap up cause it just sounds like a bunch of whining on my end that they didn't get a chance to oppose it and they had 7 days to oppose it and now it's too late. That's messed up and wrong. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:24, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Genre for Sparks Fly
[edit]This is the only review I can find and it pretty much calls it a country pop song. If that works then the IP user was right. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:56, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- I did some minor editing to what you added. I was kinda gearing towards what Back to December has but you changed it on me (again) lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:02, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Your attitude
[edit]What you are doing here and here is not okay. For several reasons. You not only left an extremely rude edit summary, but you also purposefully reverted a lot of valid edits - two times. It is pointy and disruptive, and is not okay in anyway at all. Nymf hideliho! 15:47, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- How is that "extremely rude"? I did not PURPOSELY revert edits, I was trying to restore my filmography section I worked on for AN HOUR trying to fix up. So saying "what the hell" after I worked an hour fixing the credits and adding awards-which most filmoragpies have- is now considered being rude? Also, if you look at the second link you showed me, there was one source and a word added. Yes, it wasn't the RIGHT edit summary to use, but it is in no way extremely rude. ℥nding·start 17:52, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi End. I saw the reassessment page. The background section was actually a vital information. It might need revamp but in it was significant. Part of it talks about the album, but that provides context to the genesis of the song. I will try to paste it back but in its edited form. Someday. Thank you for taking the time in re-assessing the article. Yours, --Efe (talk) 15:17, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

We should put "Sparks Fly" up for a GA review. I don't think there's much more that can be done for the article. The song was after all not promoted very well. Sad too cause that's my favorite song on Speak Now. :( JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 03:10, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- How much more can be done to it? I can't find a whole heck of a bunch on the song and I've been looking. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 03:55, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
Ah so that's why "The Story of Us" is still not a GA. Btw I been looking and I noticed Picture to Burn and Should've Said No haven't been made GA articles yet. Wonder why that is? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 04:06, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- LOL! I was just looking at Picture to Burn that page has pretty much been completely vandalized. lol JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 04:11, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
I did some work on the music video. I can remember that one the best out of all of them because it first time Taylor her used her friend Abigail (though she also used her in Fifteen lol) JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 04:22, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay what was up with "ladada" on Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus? lol! And btw talk about a lot of work fixing those references and removing dead links, I did it for Speak Now, the first Hannah Montana soundtrack, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana 3 and Hannah Montana Forever. I'm pooped after all that lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 04:32, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

- I got the complete series on DVD and it just feels like there's an episode missing there's only 13 episodes and the first episode released the 13 Ghost from the Chest of Demons but if you count (cause they caught 1 ghost per episode) that only 12 were caught. Seems like a cliff hanger to me. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 21:33, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Happily Never After
[edit]Discogs isn't reliable source, because it's wiki-based. So you should delete "Happily Never After" from promo realises, like was deleted Britney's "That's where you take me" year ago after long discusses.--demistalk 22:51, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Baby Love
[edit]Another editor disputed your move of the article Baby Love so I have restored it to its original location. If you feel that it should be moved then you should open a full discussion using the Requested move process and outline your reasoning. Happy editing. Tassedethe (talk) 02:11, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Really excited
[edit]I got my UK deluxe edition of Speak Now yesterday! Now all I gotta wait on is for my copy of the Sparks Fly single to come in. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 12:04, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- It'll be updated right after I get my Sparks Fly single, which should be sometime this week (Ordered it Friday and did ground shipping [2-6 business days]). ^_^ I didn't expect my UK deluxe edition to be in until the 30th but boy was I surprised when it came in yesterday. ^_^ I've heard of Ghost Whisperer, never seen it but heard of it. You should probably go to bed. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 13:07, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
"Mine", "Back to December" and "The Story of Us" are their pop mixes, which is awesome cause I absolutely LOVE the one for "The Story of Us". And with the Deluxe Edition I get all the versions of the songs cause the bonus disc has the US versions of the 3 songs on it plus all the bonuses on the Target deluxe edition and the pop mix of the Mine music video. ^_^ That's the same 13 Ghost one I got! I love it. It's awesome! ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 13:14, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oh! I'm gonna check around on Amazon.com and see if I can find a second for the CD single for Sparks Fly. Cause if my theory is correct with it being made available for a limited time TaylorSwift.com will remove it eventually, along with (and I'm pretty sure of this too) "Mean" and "The Story of Us"' CD singles. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 13:32, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Already?!?!?! Sheesh that just came out! I haven't even gotten mine yet. :( JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 13:37, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oh! Thank God! I'm really impatient right now I'm waiting for my copy someone's already selling their copy of "Sparks Fly" on amazon.com for $19.99. It's added as a reference on the page already. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 13:41, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Did you see what the IP user did to that page not to mention the other pages Hilary Duff (album) and Dignity (album)? They are correct with what they added but I don't know if that suppose to be posted. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 14:31, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- I just noticed and thought you should know. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:32, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
No problem. I also took the liberty of fixing her discography page and adding the missing soundtrack and fixing the soundtrack count. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:36, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Huh, I didn't know that. Though she did release a single for that new one I didn't even know that one existed. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:44, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
I think so. I didn't even know it existed the last thing I knew of was her best of and that was it. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:47, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oh I did hear about her being pregnant. I was like "Well there goes her singing career." JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:52, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
I hope so, I loved her music. I just don't see anything anytime soon. I do recall there was gonna be an album after she left Hollywood Records but we haven't seen anything since then so who knows with her. Oh I did some work on All Access Pass. Please don't change it I will fight over it. There is a hidden remix video for "I Can't Wait" on the DVD. It's completely uncredited on it but it is there. I own all the DVD's from that one to "Learning to Fly". JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 18:58, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- LOL! So you know about the hidden remix video. :) And I don't blame her for being scared about signing to another label a lot of them aren't like Big Machine Records. They will screw an artist over (for a lack of a better term.) JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:02, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
They flopped? WHAT! She was awesome! How'd they flop? :( JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:09, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- That's messed up. Looks like she did a lot better outside the US with her singles then she did in the US. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:13, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
I hope not. Also there's a misinformation on "Why Not" there is no different version of it on the Best of Hilary Duff. It's the version on Metamorphosis. Also I changed this on purpose cause someone posted "So Yesterday" as a radio mix on the Best of and it's not. I think "With Love" on there is cause it ends differently then it does on Dignity but that's the only one if it even is. "With Love" on Dignity fades out where as "With Love" on the Best of doesn't. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:21, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Scratch that I misread lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:24, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Who put "So Yesterday" as a radio mix? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:25, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- iTunes needs slapped. lol! But if there is a radio mix. I think it's of "With Love". JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:28, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
I fixed it already ^_^. Can you edit what I put on "Come Clean"? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:37, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oh I didn't notice that was already mentioned lol oops! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:49, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
That sucks. Good luck with that. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:58, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry I was busy. Talking to a friend of mine trying to get things worked out. I've only heard of the "Most Wanted Tour" so I'm guessing they are pretty much the same thing. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 04:07, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Baby Love
[edit]I see that you have started working on Baby Love :) Are you also planning to expand Whatever U Like? I came across an article a few months ago when I, for some reason, decided to expand WUL (I changed my mind pretty quickly). This article includes some pretty interesting info on both songs, including that the label never sent WUL to radio because they just wanted the song to introduce Nicole as a solo artist. - I'm so-so. My significant other's friend found an abandoned kitten yesterday (it may have been anywhere between a few days old to possibly a little over a week old) and we tried to help her take care of it (got her some pet formula for it and everything) and sometime today it died. It's kinda sad. I grew attached to the little thing really fast so it hitting me kinda hard. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 03:05, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Discography style
[edit]Would you please stop trying to change the style of discography lists. We've had this discussion on your former account.
- YEAR: Title of work
- Title of work (YEAR)
Either form is acceptable, and it's a general wiki principle that it's inappropriate to arbitrarily change between acceptable styles. Gimmetoo (talk) 04:30, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, what's going on? What was the point of reverting addition of sourced content and other changes; from what I can tell, you reverted because I forgot to change one date in the bloody infobox? That kind of blanket revert is likely to be viewed as disruptive. (I'm not saying it's disruptive yet, but if you keep that up, it will be.) Also, please explain "rm out of lead" - there is no prohibition on refs in the lead, and indeed the lead has other refs. It is quite routine for biographies to cite the date of birth (eg, Mariah Carey). Gimmetoo (talk) 07:05, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- The reliable sources I could find discussed a planned date of December 2, and some (authorized) digital purchases happening earlier for the reason I put in the article. I was actually unable to find a solid source which unambiguously said the album was released on November 28 in Europe. Do you know of one? Gimmetoo (talk) 07:12, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- "there's no source saying that the album was pushed up worldwide because of leaks". Did you read the sources I actually put in the article? One of them has this text: "Less than a week after the album leaked online, Spears has teamed with imeem.com to stream the entire CD online in advance of its December 2 release date." Thanks for removing that source - MTV, generally acknowledges as relatively reliable for music-related articles - again. Gimmetoo (talk) 07:27, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm Real
[edit]Mmmm as I can see the both the original and remix version peaks are combined. So I think we should do the same in the discography. Tomica1111 (talk) 23:15, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- The same happened with "S&M", when the remix was released, Britney was credited, however, the peaks of 1 and 2 were not separeted in two versions, it just stayed 1 in the original. Tomica1111 (talk) 23:39, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
Beyonce discography
[edit]Hi. From where did you learn that soundtrack singles and singles are placed under the same section. I have been here for two years. I edit strictly Beyonce-related articles, well because it is my choice and i like that. Anyway, let's come to the point. Beyonce's discography has been at FAC once. I won't lie to you. It failed. It was faced with serious comments but none of them mentioned that soundtrack singles should be merged. If you are merging them, then why don't you also add soundtrack albums to the album section. I think this way, 4 (Beyoncé Knowles album) will become Beyonce's seventh album. Then, most certainly we will have to contact Columbia Records to let them know that they were totally wrong and ignorant. The album called 4 should have been called 7. What Beyonce said,
I had a whole other name and concept, but I keep seeing that the fans love the name '4,' and I think it would be a really nice thing to let them name the record. She also stated that the number four was "special" for her as her birthday and wedding anniversary are on the fourth day of the month. Knowles added, "My mother's birthday, and a lot of my friends' birthdays, are on the fourth.
>>>will become meaningless. I wonder what else will need to be changed. And if you did not notice, soundtrack singles normally do not do very well. Why? In my opinion, because they are soundtrack singles and so require a different treatment. Jivesh • Talk2Me 09:13, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
So There's an infobox for studio albums, and there's one for soundtrack albums. Just because soundtrack singles might not do as good, THEY ARE STILL SINGLES. There's no such thing as a "soundtrack single". So why is there a thing like soundtrack album? Would it more logical to have a separate infobox for singles released from soundtrack alums if there is one for to differentiate between an studio album and a soundtrack album.
And i am telling you again, Kanye West is not officially credited as a featuring artist. If this is really the next single (yes, it is), more reliable website will surely post the artwork in the near future, then feel free to add Kanye West as a featuring artist again. Not now. Jivesh • Talk2Me 05:47, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Someone is asking here about changing the genre on Speak Now can you give your opinion on this? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 03:12, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Do you know what's going on with Nano? I'm kinda shocked by him. A lot of Taylor Swift pages got genre changes with no source and I'm surprised he didn't go and revert them. I did it already but I'm still shocked he didn't. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 03:25, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
I added some information about the EP . It's under Marketing and promotion. I was there when it came out. I remember talking to the associate at Kmart about it. It was free with the purchase of the Metamorphosis album but if bought separately with the album you had to pay (I was disappointed about that. I'd rather it had been free. :( but I bought it anyway. LOL!) JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 04:36, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- The EP is eight years old you won't find a source I just know what happened when I bought it. You can look here for the EP. The cheapest I've seen in 99 cents. Wanna hear something interesting I got a copy of the UK version (it has the Girl Can Rock bonus track) found it used at a store and it doesn't look like the one that's shown on Amazon.uk. Mine looks exactly like the US version and it's an actual released one its all correct it's a legit published verion it's not copy of it. Weird huh? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 05:22, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Here go there that's where you'll find the EP. Oh I know it's rare. Got it for $1.99 I didn't pass up that chance I'm no idiot ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 05:29, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- That's pretty! I wish I had that too I love the album work it's a lot better then what was released. I have this but that's not my copy of it. I got it used somewhere for about the same as the Metamorphosis I have and it was still brand new in it's package with stickers from the Disney store. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 05:34, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Did you use the currency converter? That's how I was able to get my copy of the UK deluxe edition of Speak Now on Amazon.uk.co shipped to me and I'm in the US. And after my significant other wakes up I'll take a picture of my Duff collection to put on here so you can see it. I've got almost everything. I wanna get the bonus track edition of her self-titled one but I haven't had much luck yet. I have 2 copies of Santa Claus Lane (the 2002 ten track original release and the 2003 re-release), the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack (I got 2 copies of it too), The Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack, A Cinderella Story soundtrack, you know about Metamorphosis and Metamorphosis Remixes and my Target exclusives of both versions of Most Wanted, I have the Best of Hilary Duff, Artist Karaoke Series: Hilary Duff, and Disney's Karaoke Series: Lizzie McGuire. I also have the deluxe edition of Dignity and Dignity Remix EP JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 05:45, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- I do have her self-titled one forgot to mention that one lol. And incase your wondering yeah I get a bit OCD when it comes to singers I like lol. I own a lot of Duff's movies too. I got "The Lizzie McGuire Movie", "A Cinderella Story", "Material Girl", and "Raise Your Voice" (that one is my FAVORITE!). I didn't watch "The Perfect Man" cause she didn't sing in it. I wanna get "Casper Meets Wendy" cause I loved it as a kid. But I remember this one I saw her in that she was singing in and she was so inappropriate and horrible me and my significant other shut it off before her scene finished and we were both disappointed in her. I can't remember what it was but I know she was playing some performer with an accent. I swore then that if she wasn't singing in it and it revolved around songs from her album I'd never watch another of her movies again after that one. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 05:56, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
I've actually been considering getting my hands on that CD single. I wanted it when I first got into her and I still do. So I'm gonna try and get is sometime soon. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 05:58, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- That's funny btw. It took me forever to find the original 2002 release of Santa Claus Lane. I had the 2003 one first cause it was around the time of "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" that I got into her. I was so happy once I found it. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 06:00, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
It was War, Inc. OMG that was horrible OMG OMG I didn't even get through it. I rented it to see it cause of Hilary of course but that scene with her dancing provocatively. OMG Reach Out's music video was nothing compared to what she was doing OMG! I never want to see her do that again. That was not Hilary Duff. I know she's not perfect and all but that's just too much OMFG! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 06:03, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- She's amazing. My all time favorite song by her is "What Dreams Are Made Of" it was released as a single on Radio Disney (that's where I first heard it.) Though I like the movie version better then what's on the soundtrack. I just loved how they had her duet with herself with the Italian accent. I wish they'd released that on the soundtrack. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 06:07, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
What's you're favorite song on Santa Claus Lane? Mine's "Same Old Christmas" I love listening to her and Haylie sing together so that of course means I love their cover of "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "Material Girl". lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 06:15, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- That is an awesome one. Her's is better then Taylor's version of it. I can go through a list of my favorite songs by album.
- Lizzie McGuire: "I Can't Wait"
- Santa Claus Lane: All 11 tracks.
- The Lizzie McGuire Movie: Both versions of "Why Not" and "What Dreams Are Made Of"
- Metamorphosis: "So Yesterday", "Come Clean", "Little Voice" , "Where'd I Go Right?", "The Math", "Sweet Sixteen", "Party Up", "Metamorphosis", "Why Not", "Girl Can Rock" & "A Day In the Sun"
- A Cinderella Story: "Our Lips Are Sealed", "Now You Know", & "Crash World".
- Hilary Duff: All 17 tracks
- Most Wanted: All the songs on both versions.
- Dignity: "Stranger", "Dignity", "With Love" & "Play With Fire"
- Best of: "Reach Out"
Those are my favorites. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 06:30, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- LOL! I understand that. I don't know what Bloodworth is lol. It's very rarely that I like all songs on an artist's album. If you've noticed only 3 in totally (But if you go individually it's a total of 5.) Taylor doesn't even have that. Well I love all the songs on her debut album (and I'm including the bonus songs) but with Fearless I like all them except "Hey Stephen", "Superstar", & "The Other Side of the Door". With Speak Now I like "Mine", "Sparks Fly", "Back to December", "Speak Now", "Mean", "The Story of Us", "Enchanted", "Better Than Revenge", "Haunted", "Long Live", "Ours", "Superman", & "If This Was a Movie". With Beautiful Eyes I like all the songs and same goes with The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 06:46, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks fopr the WP:ACCESS changes. Will you please do the change for the whole of her discography? I seriously don't have any clue to these changes, other wise I would have done it long ago. PS: Why status? Ending-start was so much better. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:41, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry I took so long to get back to you I had to shut the computer off cause of the storm. I got my picture of my Hilary Duff collection up for you though. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 14:26, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- RaúlLoveMiley decide to go back to their old tricks. They went and moved Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus now it's got this on it: (cur | prev) 15:38, 25 August 2011 Reaper Eternal (talk | contribs) m (25,801 bytes) (Protected Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus: Move warring ([move=sysop] (indefinite))) I was a tattle tale and told them what Raúl did. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 15:42, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
I found a reference that does show that Metamorphosis is Hilary's debut studio album. Check here to see what my source says. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 17:37, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah it ticked me off. I found two other references and posted them as well. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:01, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Did you know "At Home With Hilary" doesn't even include or mention Santa Claus Lane at all? She doesn't even mention it...Weird huh? Also, according to Hilary "Why Not" is a single for Metamorphosis as well as The Lizzie McGuire Movie. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:05, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- I like that and "Why Not" needs to be included. According to "At Home with Hilary Duff" Hilary says "We had three singles and the first was "Why Not" which was on the soundtrack for The Lizzie McGuire Movie and then I released my firs...the first single that I released on my own was "So Yesterday" and then "Come Clean". I was bored and watching that today lol. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:19, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Also she includes "Most Wanted" as an album on there, she doesn't call it a greatest hits or a compilation, she calls it a "record" she even talks about how she didn't even know what the Billboards were lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:29, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- So can I put "Why Not" back? Please, please, please....? Oh by the way I was looking at the "Genre" for Metamorphosis and All Music was used as a reference shouldn't that be removed? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:33, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Can I get you're help on this here? This guy is driving me nuts about taking the "Country" genre off of Speak Now. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 19:42, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- I guess what Hilary says doesn't matter. Okay then. Anywho. I'll see what I can find. I think there was a reference on the Most Wanted actual article that says it is a compilation album. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 22:00, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
[2] That was the reference but it's a dead link now. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 22:11, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
At Home With Hilary Duff documentary
[edit]Here is the documentary that's on the deluxe edition of Dignity I found it on youtube: Hilary Duff - At Home With Hilary Part 1 , Hilary Duff - At Home With Hilary Part 2, Hilary Duff - At Home With Hilary Part 3, the user split it in three parts cause of it's length but it'll verify that I didn't make up what I was saying about "Why Not" being a single on Metamorphosis. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 22:24, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hey I'm gonna be AFK (away from keyboard) for a bit. Watch Beat of My Heart. Duff herself called it a pop, dance and techno-ish song in the documentary and so I posted that. And I'm getting a hard time about it. I'm just trying to go by what Hilary is stating about her work. I'm not trying to start or cause problems with this at all. Re:
[edit]You and Nano didn't make me feel anything. I look up to you two. I have a tendency to listen to others opinions about things a lot. Sometimes I stand by what I'm told other times I stand up for what I think and feel. So you and Nano had nothing to do with me leaving ok? JamesAlan1986 *talk 08:59, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- I know. It's just at times it gets too much to handle. I understand you gotta have references about information added but sometimes you gotta use common sense and knowledge. For example "Best Days of Your Life" I've seen it posted featuring Taylor Swift and not featuring her (more then commonly with it saying featuring her) so that's what should be posted even if she isn't credited. Neither is Colbie Caillat in "Breathe" but she is featured in it and Fearless Platinum Edition proves it cause she credited as being featured in the song (which is weird why didn't she get credited originally in the standard version but get credited in the deluxe edition???). And that's one of the things that's kinda teeing me off right now. JamesAlan1986 *talk 09:09, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
I don't know to me it feels weird that a background vocalist would be featured in a music video. It's not very common cause Swift's singing too (where she sings) she's not just in the video. It's like I pointed out on Nano's page that no artist does that unless it's live or choreographed in but even then you gotta question if it's the actual background vocalists or actors. You know what I mean? JamesAlan1986 *talk 09:18, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've also learned that you can't always trust the back cover of anything check here at what I pointed out that I found out when it was debating that the VHS versions of the Sailor Moon Movies were released in 1999 (they weren't I just found out on amazon.com that they were released in 2000). JamesAlan1986 *talk 09:22, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
The video is not included in her discography. An IP user added it under a new section but Nano removed it the last time I looked, so if it is or isn't I couldn't tell you. JamesAlan1986 *talk 09:28, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- That's a discussion to bring up with Nano. LOL! He removed it. JamesAlan1986 *talk 09:34, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
The only thing I can find is her music video for Fly which shows the list. JamesAlan1986 *talk 09:56, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- The list reads:
- Weird
- Come Clean
- Anywhere But Here (shown as Anywhere)
- Metamorphosis
- So Yesterday
- Haters
- Where Did I Go Right (shown as Where Did I Go)
- Do You Want Me
- Working It Out
- Why Not
- Party Up
- Rock This World
- Fly
- Our Lips Are Sealed
- My Generation
- The Math
That's the only thing I can find. JamesAlan1986 *talk 10:04, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- LOL! You're welcome. I had to pause it a few times to get the full list cause it's hard to see "Weird" it goes by so quickly but it was on there. lol JamesAlan1986 *talk 10:46, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
That is weird cause she recorded Fly on the first day of the tour. Hmm that is very very interesting. JamesAlan1986 *talk 10:49, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- I was talking about the music video. It was recorded on her first tour date but yeah that is amazing. Especially since they were rushed. So that makes it even more amazing. She did a lot in 2004, She had the tour, her second album, and
twomovies. JamesAlan1986 *talk 10:57, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Three movies I didn't know about "In Search of Santa". JamesAlan1986 *talk 10:59, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- That looks awesome! JamesAlan1986 *talk 11:02, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Cool! See I don't have the patients to find all that. LOL! Oh, I was checking out Come Clean, The Remixes is a UK release. If you look at the pictures the back of it you'll see the picture is the same as the cover of the original UK release. JamesAlan1986 *talk 11:11, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- You mean these date? JamesAlan1986 *talk 11:17, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Cool! Hey did you know there was a DVD released with Most Wanted in Japan? JamesAlan1986 *talk 11:36, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Ironic huh? LOL! How come it wasn't ever added on the Most Wanted page? JamesAlan1986 *talk 11:50, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
I can't read that! It's all in Japanese! JamesAlan1986 *talk 11:55, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Who's Ashley George and why's she credited as writing "Party Up"? Metamorphosis, Metamorphosis Remixes and Most Wanted (DE) all say A. Hamilton. JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:02, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Is yours an International one cause I looked at mine and it says that too but I know it's not right cause I had the original one and it said A. Hamilton...weird must have been a typo. JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:12, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Wow I don't remember my old use version saying George weird...I guess it's a typo cause George is her middle name...but still that's weird...JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:23, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
You remember you showed me this? JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:29, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay give me a second. And cool! Congratulations. I just ordered that CD for a penny on Amazon.com. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:36, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
You can get it shipped to you from Amazon.com for US$6.90 which isn't bad. JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:45, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

I also ordered this. I said I wanted to get my hands on it well I'm getting my hands on it. LOL! JamesAlan1986 *talk 12:52, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Be sure you use the currency converter they give you on amazon.com. It'll automatically do all of it for you. JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:00, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Did you ever check out my Hilary collection? JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:19, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- LOL! I'm sure it takes a lot of work. And sure. I'd like to see it :) JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:24, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
I have no clue. I can't find anything that has the set list that was the only thing I can find. And from what I've seen on Hilary Duff concert tours what you just told me is what's listed. I thought it looked too short honestly but I didn't say it was correct. Its possible Girl Can Rock was on the list I'll have to double check cause I thought it was. JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:32, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- But I'll say this it is interesting that a video set around the back stage of the tour would show a list of songs and some of the songs aren't included in the actual tour? JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:38, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
That's possible or it's possible that was the listing for one of the sets, I have no clue. Just put what makes more sense to you. LOL! JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:44, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Stupid question here but isn't blogspot.com not a reliable source and if it's not why does the image file for Today Was a Fairytale have it as a source? JamesAlan1986 *talk 14:12, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
That's cool. And I put it up for speedy deletion after the 7th if they don't have a reliable source. JamesAlan1986 *talk 14:26, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Hey
[edit]What do you want to know exactly? How to structure the article or where to find sources? Xwomanizerx (talk) 16:51, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Lol well. For the Background section, a good source is always MTV (the search engine and their individual pages [3]), and Google news search, ofc :P. Everything in this section is strictly about tour rumors, dates announcements, legs, etc. Nothing that has to do with the creative process of the show or anything like that. The development section is for anything that has to with the personnel, inspiration and influences for the show, "trivia" about the amount of workers, band, etc. You might find sources for this in industry magazines such as mixonline.com, livedesignonline.com and fohonline.com. Also I'm sure you can find some interview with Hilary talking about the tour. Concert synopsis and critical reception are pretty easy, all the sources are critical reviews. For the commercial reception (if you can find anything) use some boxscores, maybe if you can find any article on Billboard{s}} Google Books archive, and just Google again lol. If you need help from anything more specific let me know. Xwomanizerx (talk) 17:24, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, of course. Also add "by MTV" after "it was announced." ;) Xwomanizerx (talk) 19:20, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- omg jealous @ you having a book lol. I don't have anything from Brit. Finding reviews for the critical reception depends on the fame of the person tbh. Xwomanizerx (talk) 22:19, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, of course. Also add "by MTV" after "it was announced." ;) Xwomanizerx (talk) 19:20, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
WikiCup 2011 July newsletter
[edit]The finals are upon us; we're down to the last few. One of the eight remaining contestants will be this year's WikiCup champion! 150 was the score needed to progress to the final; just under double the 76 required to reach round 4, and more than triple the 41 required to reach round 3. Our eight finalists are:
- Casliber (submissions), Pool A's winner. Casliber has the highest total score in the competition, with 1528, the bulk of which is made up of 8 featured articles. He has the highest number of total featured articles (8, 1 of which was eligible for double points) and total did you knows (72) of any finalist. Casliber writes mostly on biology, including ornithology, botany and mycology.
- PresN (submissions), Pool B's winner and the highest scorer this round. PresN is the only finalist who has scored featured topic points, and he has gathered an impressive 330, but most of his points come from his 4 featured articles, one of which scored double. PresN writes mostly on video games and the Hugo Awards.
- Hurricanehink (submissions), Pool A's runner-up. Hurricanehink's points are mostly from his 30 good articles, more than any other finalist, and he is also the only finalist to score good topic points. Hurricanehink, as his name suggests, writes mostly on meteorology.
- Wizardman (submissions), Pool B's runner-up. Wizardman has completed 86 good article reviews, more than any other finalist, but most of his points come from his 2 featured articles. Wizardman writes mostly on American sport, especially baseball.
- Miyagawa (submissions), the "fastest loser" (Pool A). Miyagawa has written 3 featured lists, one of which was awarded double points, more than any other finalist, but he was awarded points mostly for his 68 did you knows. Miyagawa writes on a variety of topics, including dogs, military history and sport.
- Resolute (submissions), the second "fastest loser" (Pool B). Most of Resolute's points come from his 9 good articles. He writes mostly on Canadian topics, including ice hockey.
- Yellow Evan (submissions), who was joint third "fastest loser" (Pool A). Most of Evan's points come from his 10 good articles, and he writes mostly on meteorology.
- Sp33dyphil (submissions), who was joint third "fastest loser" (Pool B). Most of Phil's points come from his 9 good articles, 4 of which (more than any other finalist) were eligible for double points. He writes mostly on aeronautics.
We say goodbye to our seven other semi-finalists, Another Believer (submissions), Piotrus (submissions), Grandiose (submissions), Stone (submissions), Eisfbnore (submissions), Canada Hky (submissions) and MuZemike (submissions). Everyone still in the competition at this stage has done fantastically well, and contributed greatly to Wikipedia. We're on the home straight now, and we will know our winner in two months.
In other news, preparations for next year's competition have begun with a brainstorming thread. Please, feel free to drop by and share any thoughts you have about how the competition should work next year. Sign ups are not yet open, but will be opened in due course. Watch this space. Further, there has been a discussion about the rule whereby those in the WikiCup must delcare their participation when nominating articles at featured article candidates. This has resulted in a bot being created by new featured article delegate Ucucha (talk · contribs). The bot will leave a message on FAC pages if the nominator is a participant in the WikiCup.
A reminder of the rules: any points scored after August 29 may be claimed for the final round, and please remember to update submission pages promptly. If you are concerned that your nomination, be it at good article candidates, a featured process or anywhere else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. J Milburn and The ed17 23:58, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
