Route 36

[edit]

Curley was famous for using state resources for his owm benefit. This rural road is likely the most unnecessary highway in the entire Commonwealth. This is a funny example of Curley's excesses and is worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia. If you live near here you should visit the area and I think you will agree with me. russellbortgreene.

I've looked again at the information you added, and in order to merit inclusion in the article, it will need to be cited with reliable sources. That said, I don't believe as I did at first that it was included maliciously or frivolously. I wouldn't be surprised if another editor challenged or removed it, however. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 22:48, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Generation Z

[edit]

Generation Z means Zombie. Why you take that off? This has become the common english meaning and is sited from multiple sources, is used on the internet, urban dictionary, is used in comedy and TV. If Z does not stand for 'Zombie', what does it stand for? You remove Zombie but do not refute it nor do you offer an alternative. Your censorship is not substantiated and is subjective.

Justice Crew

[edit]

why can't i edit the Page Justice Crew this section is false Philanthropy

The group's mentor Maurice June created a non-profit organisation known as MMAD Moves (Musicians Making a Difference), which teaches dance lessons to children, teenagers and adults who cannot afford to pay for classes.[24] June teamed up with The Salvation Army to connect the program with a church.[24] Justice Crew have previously joined June at various Salvation Army corps, including Miranda, New South Wales and Hurstville, New South Wales.[24] They also regularly perform at the annual Christmas Carol events, such as the Carols in the Domain and Carols in the City, where performers donate their time to raise money for various charities.[25][26]

im trying to remove it as it is false. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buraddo (talkcontribs) 14:18, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've created a new section for your message so my talk page will be easier to navigate. The reason I reverted your edits is because you removed a section which contains information that has been cited in multiple sources. Because the information can be verified in these sources, removing it appears unconstructive. If you have sources which indicate that the indication is incorrect, you might try posting them on the article's talk page to generate a discussion about whether the information in the section should be included. However, repeatedly blanking the section, especially after messages to you asking you not to do so, will be viewed as disruptive. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 14:32, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What's the problem? Nikos 1993 (talk) 21:38, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When the edit came up in the recent changes it looked unconstructive to me, so I reverted it. On closer look, I think that while it's not an edit I can particularly endorse, it wasn't made with any kind of ill will or malice in mind. I see you've already changed the page again, and I'll leave it alone from this point on. Sorry about any confusion. Let me know if you have any questions. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 21:47, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"it's not an edit I can particularly endorse" - i'm not a junkie if that's what you mean :D. i'm just interested in illicit drugs, abuse of them and life of people who use them. Nikos 1993 (talk) 21:52, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's not what I want to say at all; I just meant that that particular list strikes me as one that doesn't benefit from the addition of street names. The article on heroin would benefit, but this list of substances in the smoking article, not so much, in my opinion. Seems to me like it's inviting the list to get unmanageable, given the number of possible additions it opens up. Didn't mean to imply anything about you personally, and again, I shouldn't have treated your edit as any kind of malfeasance. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 23:02, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

message(s) about my Home Depot edits that were considered as vandalism

[edit]

I would like to inform you that what I did to that particular article was in response to my Wikipedia Ambassador's advice so that I could contribute information to the article - Year Round School - which at that point in time required me to have at least 10 edits on the site (lock was removed about a week ago). To my knowledge I didn't have any edits so my Wikipedia Ambassador gave me advice to edit a page slightly (at random) and then go in and correct the small change I made so that I could get up to the required 10 edits. As you can see in the Year Round School's article, I contributed information that was relevant to the topic, meaning that I am not on Wikipedia to vandalize.

My actions were from the given advice I received to allow me to contribute information to this site and I would appreciate it if you ceased with the messaged/posts on my talk page about me doing vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sleenen (talkcontribs) 04:49, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article B.C. Rich Mockingbird has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A poorly written, poorly sourced article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. It is weird that you edited information that are right. I think before publishing wrong information you should chek them. You cant only take the look from the US side you have to take the look from the UK too and here are a lot of difference see the article anbout business days. And here it is easy to provide legal definitions for this. And a legal definition is more binding then an opinion without base. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.92.33.51 (talk) 16:26, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My recent edit of this prisoner was deleted for lack of reference. I was in prison with him twice at Springfield Missori in 81 and 82, plus the city jail in Saint Paul Minnesota, and went to court in chains with him in 80. He told me many stories of his experiences. I have much more to add but you remove it. We were prison buddies at one time. I believe my BOP number was 30677-041. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.226.220.115 (talk) 17:46, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, the information you added would constitute original research, which is not acceptable in Wikipedia articles. Information must be verifiable by reliable sources to be included. What you added and what you state in your message to me may be true, but I have no way of knowing that is the case, and neither would any other reader of the article. If you have reliable, third-party sources which support your information, then it could be added. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 17:51, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June.
