vandalism?

Hi Skywalker you mentioned that I vandalised a page (Sins of a Solar Empire) by asking for a fact and adding this to the talk page: "So is there a geniune [sic!] source for this with supporting evidence? I'll mark it up as a questionable fact. It sounds to me like the distributor, Stardock, maybe paid the production company, Ironclad Games, 1 million USD for the exclusive rights for the game? ARS for Resistance 2

I don't think this is an issue for the ARS to worry about. The nom seems to be a very POINTed one but I can't figure out what tripped him to go about that. Stop edit warring and stop trying to bloat a film article with in appropriate content. The article does NOT need a soundtrack listing, certainly not a full blown infobox which screws up the article all kinds of ways. It adds no value to the article, the soundtrack is not notable. Nor are you even formatting it or positioning it correctly if it were to have a soundtrack section. This soundtrack will more than likely become notible "after" it's release. Currently I have Billboard and various film soundtrack review websites favorited on my browser. the way the cast was displayed was improper, therefore the best way to display a cast member is a table. Hey SkyWalker. Please remember that it is up to every user to deescalate conflicts to keep them from blowing up into something much larger than necessary. Heres a note, I added the CSD template once. You removed it, and since you were the creator of the article, I added it back, as since you created the article, you are not allowed to remove it. Further, I saw a single source, I did not see the multiple sources you put in External Links, as sources are typically put in references section, not the external links section. If the article had multiple sources, all you had to do was tell me that, not call me crazy, which is an insult, and is expressly forbidden.— dαlus Contribs 02:27, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Daedalus969 i have the right to remove the csd template once a notability is established and i have done so when i created the article and added all necessary source look at the diff. There is nothing i can do if you were unable to see the sources below the external links. You have the right to check all the links to the article establish notability. If the article does not any source to establish the notability be of a kind nature and help the author to establish the notability before adding any CSD templates. ChildofMidnight you failed to understand my whole point. The CSD template is totally inappropriate for article that has enough of source. The user has failed to survey the whole article and want the whole article deleted without any discussion. I apologize if I've missed your point. Anyone can put a speedy tag on any article. And if it's an article you created, you "can't" remove the speedy tag, but anyone else can. An article won't be deleted after it is speedy tagged unless a reviewing administrator agrees with the assesment that the subject is not notable. And even if it is deleted, there's a process for having that decision reviewed and/or recreating the article. I have speedy tagged things (by mistake) that it turns out were notable and I've had things that were notable tagged and even deleted speedily by mistake. People are expected to use their best judgement, but we're dealing with humans here, for better or for worse, and we don't all have the same opinions on what constitutes notability. Even with all the many pages of guidelines, people reach different conclusions about the same content. And there's a process to deal with situations where mistakes are made. Anyway, I was trying to help. I'm sorry if I haven't been able to. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance and best of luck with all your pursuits. Have fun. Hey Sky. It's definitely stressful to get speedy deletion notices. The appropriate resopnse is to post a {{hangon}} template and an explanation on the talk page. You might also try using the {{underconstruction}} template for articles that are actively under construction. Still, it's up to individual discretion whether to tag an article and the reviewing Admin whether to delete it speedily. But even content that is deleted can be recreated and moved to your userspace after a request. So you can always work on articles to better establish notability even if they do get deleted.

Many editors start article in their userspace, for example User:SkyWalker/newarticle (which you can click on and create and then use if you like) so that they aren't pestered (so to speak) by dealing with the stress of trying to establish notability while under fire :). I agree Mr. Advani wouldn't need a lotus on his site. What is noteworthy here is that Mr. Advani is associated with a party (also quite a mojor one) in India. News articles do not feature in external links. Where used, they should be cited in references, which is why I could tell it was inappropriate without having to check it out. No, I didn't check the article. Singular articles never feature in external links, because if it is important or noteworthy, they feature in the references section. It was the only one I removed, because it was the only link I could do so without checking. assassin's creed

There are no rules on WP - policy and guidelines are meant to guide article creation, but they're not hard-set rules (there's a reason why WP:IAR exists); policies are a little less flexible, but here's we're talking about guidelines.

As for Assassin's Creed and the normal pattern: In most video games, the story is weakly, if at all, tied to the gameplay; most FPS/TPS, platformers, and the like can be described without delving into the depths of the story, and thus because gameplay is the generallly core aspect of a video game, that should be first.

However, in the case of Asassin's Creed, there's a lot of gameplay elements that are based around the Animus (the synch ratio, how "death" works, the glitches, and the like.) It is necessary to establish this part of the work's plot in order to simplify the discussion of the entire article. (Another case would be The World Ends with You - outlining what the Reaper's Game is before going into the actual game helps to simplify the entire thing.) I agree in most cases this isn't normal, but that's why WP:VG/G is a guideline - there are allowable exceptions. --MASEM (t) 06:16, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to the Tenth issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

It has been a long time since the last coordinators election. There is a lot for people to do, and I certainly would welcome seeing any individuals with an interest in such a position put themselves forward as candidates. I in particular would very much like to see some degree of "specialization" in the coordinators, so that, for instance, we might have someone knowledgable about some of the specific Christian faith traditions or other main subjects, like Orthodoxy, Lutheranism, Mormonism, the Jehovah's Witnesses, art, theology, and so on. If any parties who have experience with some of our faith- or- subject-based content would be interested in being candidates, I would love to see them do so. Please feel free to take part in the discussion regading what the minimum number of category items is, and how to deal with the non-qualifying categories, on the General Forum page.

Uncivilized behaviour in List of Games for Windows titles

I'd like to bring into your attention that the kind of behaviour you've been having in the article —probably out of regarding yourself as a vested contributor or even its owner— is considered uncivilized and thus not acceptable by Wikipedia's policies. I thus urge you to step down and actually discuss your edits instead of imposing them, stop calling other people's edits "pointless", "unnecessary" and "silly", and refrain yourself from responding to people in this tone. --uKER (talk) 15:54, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Look mister. Don't tell me what to do. If you are going to update everytime then fine. I want the article to be updated. I don't want things to keep changing constantly such has changing dates. It is a big nuisance. I want to stop adding rubbish in talk page. Also btw iam not all trying to be owner of the article. Iam not sure what to call such edits like this this and this. They are certainly pointless. What exactly are you trying to achieve?. Do you plan updating whenever the game is going to get released?. When the article get larger this will sort of work will cease to exist. Instead of wasting time try to improve articles and get a job in the real life. This is all i can say. If you plan of keeping the changes you done. Then you or anyone can take care of the article. I see you're just thoughtlessly rebutting every attempt I'm making to bring you into your senses, here and in the talk page. It's not me telling you what to do. It's the way Wikipedia works. There's guidelines. You're imposing a layout in the article that doesn't make sense and everybody is saying it in the article's discussion. The rules say you can't assume ownership of an article, which means if most other people agree on making a change, you'll have to abide by it, or at least PROPOSE otherwise. WP:OWN states assumption of ownership is constituted when:

  1. An editor disputes minor edits concerning layout, image use, and wording in a particular article daily. The editor might claim the right, whether openly or implicitly, to review any changes before they can be added to the article. (This does not include egregious formatting errors.)
  2. Article changes by different editors are reverted by the same editor repeatedly over an extended period to protect a certain version, stable or not.

About the article not getting updated, it may be true that you have updated it more often than it would otherwise, but that doesn't give you the right to overrun the opinions of all the other people participating in it.
