No. I don't feel you are entitled to delete your views in an ongoing discussion. The point is that it is a discussion, and as such the history should be preserved. Said another way, your deletion of your comment removes context from my comment.

To suggest an example that shows more clearly why deletion is bad, consider a discussion that have spun out of control. Both sides have resorted to personal attacks and other behavior not compatible with civil conduct. If one side then deletes a large portion of his comments he will be able to cast the other side in a worse light by making the attacks seem one-sided. Taemyr 15:59, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Earlier this month you tagged 30 Rock as needing cleanup

I just removed the {{cleanup}} because you didn't accompany the tag with a comment on Talk:30 Rock. Feel free to re-introduce it but please accompany any reintroduction with a rationale on the talk page. Thanks. 68.167.255.36 07:24, 23 May 2007 (UTC).

What happened to your account at digit?

I was away for about 5 weeks as my 'net was down. Just noticed your name doesn't exist in the memberlist. What happened man? --seXie♭♭c 08:50, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

I just have no idea. I don't know why my account is deleted. As far i know i did nothing wrong. Anyways time to be active in Neowin. It is much better than thinkdigit forum.. :) --SkyWalker 09:00, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Crap man! I mean WTF, I was put in miserable users' list, you got kicked. Great use of powers. Actually my net was down for around 5 weeks.--seXie♭♭c 18:45, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Notable Newfoundlanders removal

This was already under discussion for removal or modification and I don't think it should have been summarily deleted. It's been restored in the discussion page for Newfoundland (island) and I'm considering reverting it if I can figure out how to do so correctly, so please don't re-delete it. Feel free to contribute to the discussion on the discussion page.Vulcan's Forge 21:30, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I have not seen the talk page yet. The notable list is way to long and i dont feel it contribute anything to the article. --SkyWalker 08:34, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
If you haven't seen the discussion page Talk:Newfoundland (island) or discussed the subject with anyone who contributes regularly to the page, you shouldn't be summarily removing things from it. For this, or any other page. As to whether or not the list is too long, or contributes anything to the article, that's what the discussion page is for. (I'm new to Wikipedia and if I'd done something like this someone would've bitten my head off by now.)Vulcan's Forge 01:08, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
See the talk over there. I have replied. :) --SkyWalker 13:07, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Formatting marks

The marks you removed from the human anatomy page are to make it easier to read and edit the references. A few editors uses these marks in this way. Snowman 14:09, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the nice reflist. Cheers! --Zamkudi 08:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

WiC

From the forum I've been under the impression that WiC was supposed to be a RTT, though I haven't checked in for some months. You have information that they've strayed down the RTS path instead (real-time base-building and during-mission tech development etc)? Regards Miqademus 09:58, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I know they term it a RTS on their webpage and "official threads", though this will likely have very little to do with if it is really an RTS. If it won't feature base-building etc it will perhaps be a RTT regardless of what they market it as. However. we'll just have to wait and see. Cheers! Miqademus 19:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

For what reason did you remove the information regarding the WiC closed beta test? As if it was some kind of SUPER SECRET information. The closed beta test was openly announced on half a dozen pc gaming sites, and involved thousands of players. bitrex

regarding above: After checking out the edit history, I realize that some folks edited the closed beta test section to include information which violated the NDA which beta testers agreed to (i.e. specifics of gameplay); still, the entire section shouldn't have been removed. bitrex

my contributions

hey Im kind of new to wikipedia, I was just wondering why some of my contributions to Chrissy Carnell got deleted, just to avoid future mistakes..hehe

sorry about that...actually I thought I had more external links but maybe some were irrelevant..

Redirect of Sunage

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Sunage, by R'n'B (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Sunage is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Sunage, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 14:54, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Redirects

Hi, I fixed the redirects to Sun Age, they should work properly now. Pax:Vobiscum 16:57, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

NSIT and deletion

Hi Skywalker, I noticed you deleted a section from the NSIT article. While I agree with the reasons you cited for the deletion, nevertheless, you may have noticed I placed a tag there and was waiting for a consensus. I got the idea that your edit (done in good faith I am sure), seemed to be aggressive, which will only help to flare up a situation. Please calm down and settle things amicably, you'll find a lot of people willing to help you if you keep within reason and take it calmly.Rueben lys 22:31, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi the Sky Walker. In that case, sometimes going away from the page for few days or few weeks may help. Some other editors may step in to balance the contents. In any case, wikipedia is so big that one may always find some thing of interest to work on. I don't imply that your reverts are not in order - some people always have their own personal ways to keep the contents they like, even to the detriment of the project. It is really sad, and it is one of the weaknesses of our processes - absence of review of contents, etc., etc. --Bhadani (talk) 17:21, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Your edit to Halo Wars

Hi. I noticed you deleted a large part of the article. That list of units and weapons wasn't meant to be nessecarily a unit or weapon "guide", because the game hasn't been released yet, but rather a list of what had been confirmed. Without that section people would've started adding random bits at the bottom of the article about new announcements of units, weapons, gameplay features, etc, not having a central section of the page to put them. Bronzey 07:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Minor edits

Hello. I notice that almost all your edits are marked minor, though a great deal of them involve large changes. Please note that minor edits don't mean straightforward enforcement of policy, but rather edits that do not substantially alter the content of an article (for good or ill). --Eyrian 08:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

GECB & Deletion

I would like to know why you deleted major info from the GECB page and still say that its a minor edit. I agree with the previous users comment that and stress that you deleted IMPORTANT info from the page and then say that it is a minor edit. This can cause others to question why you did that, especially when you don't seem like someone who knows anything about the information that you delete from the pages concerned. So what may seem as unimportant to you may be of utmost importance to the creator and was kept as a piece of info for others who'd view the page.abhi 16:44, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
